1.Bay Trail W

Address: Esplanade, Point Cook VIC 3030

(1) Reviews Bay Trail W:

Jawad Arain Bay Trail West is one of the most wonderful rides in Western suburbs in Melbourne where you’ll enjoy wetlands, beaches, and views of Melbourne and the bay. The ride commences at Aircraft Station and ends at Williamstown Station. Initially the route follows Skeleton Creek down to Altona Meadows before going along Bay West Trail via Altona and Williamstown. The ride is mostly along bike paths, and is mainly flat. Aircraft Station to Williamstown, Distance: 21 km.

Ajay Sharma We recently visited the RAAF Museum as a family, and it turned out to be a truly memorable and enriching experience—especially for the kids! The museum offers a fascinating look into the history of the Royal Australian Air Force, with a special focus on aircraft used during World War I and II. The exhibits are very well-presented and informative, making it easy for children to learn while still having fun. Our kids were thrilled to see the vintage planes up close and learn about their roles in history. The interactive displays and friendly staff added to the experience, helping them understand how aviation has evolved over time. It was a great way to spark curiosity and give the whole family a new perspective on Australia’s military aviation history. Highly recommend for families looking for an educational and engaging day out!

Abram Ziegelaar Well curated, high quality & interesting display. Great Sopwith Pup flight display & explanation. RAAF personnel went out of their way to help us out when we arrived without a booking. Well done.

Allen Peterson Point Cook RAAF Museum, Melbourne, Australia We visited yesterday. The Museum is well laid out, interesting and informative. Free entrance, have to register at the entrance gate. Can book on-line (free; and saves time on arrival). Well worth a visit. Allow 1 to 2 hours. Thank you.

Chandimal Malalagama Good quiet and calm place to visit. Wish they can have a small cafeteria for the visitors. Hope that fighters introduced in the 80s and 90s can be displayed.

Yongkang He Nice place to spend a few hours nearby on the labour day. I actually randomly picked up some place to go from the map.
4 /5
Craig Osborne Good walk, easy flat path to follow. The observation deck walk gives a good view over the wetland area and the bay water looking back to Melbourne.
4 /5
Daniel N Nice area to visit. Dont park at the carpark as its a quite a distance to walk from. Park near Sunman Dr and walk there, its about 5min walk. Nice view of the city from here
4 /5
J A Provides a great vantage point towards the Cityscape. I do travel regularly to this place and its one of those places where you can get lost in nature. The flora and fauna is pretty unique and I find it fascinating.
5 /5
Jamie Sciban Even on a windy morning this is an interesting view. The walk to wetlands is a welcome sight past the suburban area. Melbourne city in the distance and the bird song of the local Maggies

Aena Pareek This is a properly designed park for the kids. There is water play area, various slides for the kids nicely spread out across the park. There is a cafe too along with swimming pool. There is open barbecue section too here Overall good one
5 /5
Sharalea Kiripatea Cute little water play for kiddies however there is fencing for the river for most of the area except where the kids main water play and playground/bbq area is. The plant room is situated right in the middle of the playground & water play & a few trees making it very hard to supervise. If you have more than 1 child you will need more adults. Many tress providing shade however most aren’t appropriate for sitting under & the main water play area has no shade at all, we pitched up a gazebo as it was a 30deg day. Be careful of the crocodile too! It get extremely hot my 3 year old burnt his foot. Such a stressful day. FYI No toilets here either!!
2 /5
Bill Mortimer Water features dont come on that frequently (visited 5 November) and it would be improved with a button to turn them on or signposting for users about when its on. Best for toddlers, no public toilet.
3 /5
Nathaniel Vezzoso Relatively well designed park for children. The park is well spread out with lots of fun things like water features and slides for children. Theres a cafe close by too. Only down falls in design are a lack of fencing to the main road and the toilet being about 200m away. Definitely recommended for families as there are also BBQ facilities available.
4 /5
Michael Webb Great place To Take the kids and especially in summer as this is also a water park with limited attractions but good for toddlers when introducing them to play around water and a great place to cool off please note no swimming or ponds available these are just little spouts of water that come out of some of the play equipment. Overall kids had a ball will be coming here again

Adrian Gjovalin LUKA If our group is not stopping to price and say the best words for the chefs food that we have eaten here, it would be the most unjustified rude behaviour... So the food was the best we have eaten so far in many our trips... The personel was so handy, so friendly and keen to help in all circumstances... I would recommend this place, if you want to eat very delicious varieties of food...
5 /5
Bhavi Desai Great ground - perfect weather - kids hitting fours across the boundaries and winning - what else can you ask for
5 /5
Dale Fincke Nice pitches for multiple sports. Good facilities, toilets clean. Perhaps some gates needed on soccer pitch to keep soccer balls running out onto roads. Also water fountain near club rooms would be helpful
4 /5
Bruno Magalhaes Big sport facilities. The food needs to improve, same same

Angelos Savvaidis Loved the park. Kids had awesome fun with the twisted slide but maybe not the safest park for toddlers. If you have younger than 3 year old kids, I wouldnt recommend.
4 /5
Koushik Roy Nice place to visit with your kids where they can play in the playground and you can walk around. Lot of kids come to play in the evening.

Laura Lawler -Great park -Good for any kids that are confident walkers -My 9 month old still enjoyed the trampolines, swing and slide with help -Only way to get to the slides is up the hill -It is steep next to the slides and less steep at the back -Big grass area next to it - Quiet area in residential area - Some shaded tables - Baby swing + big kid swing seat - No toilets - Clean park with only a stray coles trolley there when we visited

Oz R The only park in Western suburbs (I know of) which has free mini floor trampolines (Made in Germany). The rest of the stuff like swings, slides etsc are normal. The park isnt big though but is usually not crowded.
4 /5
Carly S My kids loved exploring this park with its little jumping pads and adorable frog. Not a huge park but nice and well maintained. Wish more parks in Point Cook had toilet facilities (this one does not)

Aidilnur AHMAD WAHIDUDDIN This beach offers a refreshing escape, even on blustery days. Despite the bracing wind and chill, this is a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll along the beach. Ample space accommodates barbecues and family gatherings, while children can freely explore the inviting playground.
5 /5
Carly S Beautiful place to wander along the coast and enjoy the bay. My kids climb trees and play on the sand or have a paddle in the water. There are toilets and a nice little playground. A really lovely area for a picnic.
5 /5
Daria Kozak Good to walk, you can see swans and the sea some interesting shells on the shore. Point Cook Homestead might be interesting to speculate about how people lived before. Cool idea of walking ramps to the viewing tower, I will leave it to you to discover.
5 /5
Raghu Sharma Best thing about this was it just rough as nature wanted it to be but finding it trail from the car park was a mission. Park your car and then unlock the door, walk like 100 m and towards your right there is a big closed metal gate and right next to that you will small sneaky entrance. Beach smells horrible, probably was not the best time to visit (May 2020). I loved the train it was rigged and felt like I am out it some dense forest. Enjoy mother nature.

Iyah Olivia This is not the most amazing park weve ever visited BUT it has beauty every day & has entertained our family throughout the pandemic, providing us with glimpses of rare or just pretty birds, running trails, mountain bike challenges, quiet times, solace, family time and more! So blessed to have lived near this coastal park.
