Thomas Liontis Lots of swamp hens and ducks here, you can see them nesting in the reeds and shrubbery. The wetlands is rather minuscule compared to the rest of the park, its only in the residential area.

Anne Hamilton Peaceful spot to enjoy this small wetland area, many different birds call this wetland home. Not much shade, bring a hat, short loop walk but the adventurous can explore further down into Plenty Gorge area.

Visakan Very nice place for a walk or bike ride or just to enjoy the nature and birds. Not too crowded except for people exercising or walking their dogs. Mostly clean walkways but some people do throw plastic bottles and beer cans in the water. Oh and do not feed ducks - its not allowed

Ravindi Kavmini When you want a quick walk with a nice view in Bundoora, this place is best. When I am bored with my normal jogging track, I come here for jogging. The view is nice. You can meet many varies of birds like parrots and you may spots rabbits also.

Pintu T My children really enjoy their time at this playground. Big, spacious and many options to keep children engaged for a long time. Good spot to spend time with family, possibly host parties, etc.

Hashim Fakhreddin Very nice park! Was pleasantly surprised as its tucked away within a residential area. Great play area for the kids including a small skating zone, nice seating and large oval to play sports!

Todd Lucas Awesome park! Huge slide plus a few smaller ones, great climbing nets and towers, heaps of swings, a junior bike and scooter track, water play, undercover tables, barbeques and lots of great to run around on. Oh and there are public toilets here too. Great for kids of all ages!

Petra Hansen Its a nicely new built and renovated play area for kids of all ages and abilities. Things to climb on, rope wall, slides, traditional swings, little trampoline, scooter and skateboard track. Zip line x2. A couple other activities that fail me at present. There is a bicycle pole that has permanently attached tools to make any on the run adjustments to your bike. Covered seating suited to bbqs. Toilets. Drink fountains. The area also has a skateboard ramp.nice to see a swing dedicated to people with disability. Gets quite busy and I noticed some older more confident kids dominate any given equipment so thats a blight on their parents either not supervising well enough or not teaching the child to share,and when its busy it can be a bit intimidating for less confident and shy kids which really is sad to see. Parking fills quickly, especially on no school days or weekends. Overall it looked like the kids were having a great time. Given the available space Council could make it even better again

Tom Andrews Whether its the disability accessible playground equipment, the large playground, the half pipes for the skaters, the dog park, the basketball court or the BBQs for a Sunday lunch, this park has everything you could ask for! With large open spaces to run around in, heaps of new playground equipment there is heaps for the whole family including doggos. New areas of the park are being constantly updated. Photos taken during lockdown (why its empty because its normally busy with families!).

Mark Poley Good viewpoint over Melbourne from the highest point of the city. Bring your own seats though as there are no benches, just a place to park the car. Its surprising that more hasnt been done to make more of this notable viewpoint.

Sargon Younan I thought the view would be much better, but it’s still a great spot to get your steps in. The trail has both uphill and downhill sections, making it a good challenge. I’d recommend it if you want to build endurance!

Smriti Jhunjhunwala Pretty good for everyday walks as it’s right in the middle of a suburb! There are multiple walks, mostly easy with a few steep climbs for a couple of tracks. One would def see some beautiful birds and kangaroos in the forest… there is a proper walkway and directions put up everywhere to make it easy to find your way inside the forest. We enjoyed our walks there!!

Danny Holmes Wildflower walk is a narrow meandering dirt track through a vision of trees and the sounds of birdsong, an oasis of calm and quiet right in the heart of peak hour. A beautiful surprise - I’ll be back

Anne C Theres just something very special about this forest/nature reserve and adjoining Gresswell Habitat Link, even though its bordered by houses. Its hard to describe what makes it so. It could be the dry, gentle smell of the gums as the day warms up, the serenity, or the way the paths meander through. A number of kangaroos are seen throughout, and birds aplenty. Limited parking is available at the Greenwood Drive playground.

Hanuska Dr Lubosh (Child Whisperer) A delightful walk through the greenery full of birds! When you need a time to reflect and recharge, head for one of the quiet streets bordering this oasis in the middle of the Northern suburbs. You can walk a small distance or do a loop around the whole area which is so amazing because its wildlife is protected from the predators like dogs and cats. Of course, you cannot walk inside with your dog, unfortnately, but you can also walk through the surrounding streets and still see a lot of green space and birds.

Shai N Took a walk through the forest to look at the roos and listen to the birds all around. It was a peaceful walk going around the lush green pathways. If you enjoy walking or cycling then give it a try.

Shannon Chen Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is a wonderful destination that combines art and history. Although the house is not very large, every detail showcases the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the late 19th century. Features such as the wooden staircase, stained glass ceilings, ornate plaster ceiling decorations, and intricately carved railings make this building a cultural heritage site worth appreciating in detail. Additionally, the numerous paintings and artworks leave a lasting impression. However, it is somewhat regrettable that the maintenance and restoration of this building are not well managed. For example, the balcony railings, which are originally beautiful, have become weathered and have not been repainted in time. The balcony floor also has noticeable bird droppings and dust that have not been cleaned properly. If the building were regularly maintained, repainted, and kept clean, its charm would be even more pronounced. A historic building with such rich details deserves careful upkeep—not only to extend its lifespan but also to allow visitors to fully experience its beauty.

Liz This is a real Melbourne treasure. A welcoming place, plenty of free parking. Disabled access was superb. There was a variety of art to look at, and even the building itself … totally charming. We had lunch at the cafe – there was a limited selection, but what was there was superb.

Dale Thomas A very interesting building housing interesting art. I loved the art quilts and the early colonial pottery on display. Fabulous ceilings and stained glass windows. Loved the early ventilation system in the form gets off the rooms and the internal staircase. Set in a park like garden with some very old sacred trees. The cafe had a great menu and great coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A lovely afternoon.

susan bell Fabulous day. Lots of carparking. Cafe staff really nice. Coffee/toasted vegetable ciabatta and scones perfect. Real cream!! Great to walk around and see latest art displays. Vibrant and fun, not classic. Lift available. Gardens simple, small, reflective of era the Homestead was built. Will go back.

Jack Denney Really good playground and green space next to a sports oval (where people frequently walk dogs). There is: a big sandpit with a water spout, electric BBQ, drinking taps, small half court basketball hoop, exercise equipment, lots of parking, and several different playground apparatuses. The outstanding one for us is big vertical spinning wheel, so we call this the "hamster wheel playground". The only downside is the only restroom available is at the big sports club next to the grounds. They feel a bit far away for a little person in a rush, and Im worried they could be locked. Otherwise, this is a great playground.

Michael Tan A large reserve with 2 football ovals / cricket grounds, the upper ground with 2 cricket practice nets and the lower allowing for dogs off leash. The reserve also has two separate sets of play equipment, the smaller (with swings, slides and assortment climbing equipment) to the north and the larger (with a flying fox, rotating drum, sand pit, etc )to the south. The north section also has adult outdoor exercise equipment, 2 well maintained stainless steel electric BBQs and picnic tables. There are toilets on site. There is also a small church and cemetery for some local history.

Chris Sciberras Came here because I wanted to go for a jog in a wooden cylinder that gives me motion sickness. This place delivered! Also of note were the two flying foxes, merry-go-round, swing, rope net, electric bbqs, and exercise facilities. Would recommend.

Debby Wilson Banyule councils Movies on the move was played here tonight. Fantastic kids playground facilities for literally all ages, toddler to teens. Lots of space, not near any main roads, so traffic noise: zero. Well run tonight. Perfect

Lu Dolan A group of 16 of us visited the Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary as part of a community event to engage LGBTQIA+ identifying people in Indigenous plants and animals, and theyre importance to our surroundings. We were so thrilled to have Berenice as our tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. It is so lucky that this space is available so close to the city, and I would not hesitate in recommending a tour to anyone! Ill definitely be back for a twilight tour to see some of those famous sugar gliders! Thank you for everything!

Melissa McCulloch A quiet bushland area, surrounded by suburbia. We had a lovely picnic here. Lots of birds and a great native plant nusery.

Laurence Ellison Lovely and relaxing walk around the sanctuary with a tempting plant nursery at the end as well. Amazingly run by volunteers.

opallpyp This place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. With various routes to explore, including bike trails, it’s perfect for nature lovers. As you enter the park, you’ll be surrounded by serene landscapes and a charming little creek that flows along the way. Keep an eye out for kangaroos—they’re abundant here and incredibly relaxed.

Moua Her Great place to go for a hike or to walk your dog. Has a trail that has great terrains and another trail that goes to a pond filled with plenty of ducks swimming. Lots of wildlife to see and trail is not too hard.

Thomas Liontis There are lots of trails (with gravel and river crossings), some can go off the beaten track and you can visit different parts of the plenty river and smaller creeks. You could easily get lost here and spend hours exploring the bush. Youll spot the most kangaroos and also Galahs/Corellas youve ever seen up close outside of a wildlife park.

Hanny Zhang (Hanny) Nice but challenging trails, the Blue Lake is quite nice. Could spot a range of wild lives along the way.

Reza Soekotjo Was here only briefly but very impressed. The locals are very lucky to live in an environment where suburbia and nature are so close together almost interwoven. I will be back to explore the walking tracks.

Chau Vi Kids had a great time. Lots of playground space. Plenty of friendly farm animals around and kids loved petting guinea pigs. Will definitely be back as very affordable fun day out with kids.

Nate K Great farm, my 3 year old loved it, plenty to see, we went on the wildlife ride which was fun, had a funny experience of watching an emu hassle the driver at the gate, did the animal feeding, played in the playgrounds, was a good day out

Beauty Tim It is ok to pay a visit and look around different settings but the farm has not been well maintained most parts. Government owned urban farm does not make it any better. Private owned ones usually are more inviting and worth learning

PK C Barely anything to see. And the animals are all old and tired. Limited shade spaces during peak sun over summer. However, the playgrounds were the kids highlight with plenty to choose and not crowded. But its not worth the entry price. It would function better if entry was free with payments for animal feed and other things to do inside the park. I wouldnt go back.

vichitter Dhanola It was a good outing for kids and to well versed with animals. Not a preferred place for big kids though.
