Sarah Andrews Not to be dramatic but the ladys at this salon are life savers! Arielle is who i see and she slows the world down and makes sure you get exactly what you want. She genuinely cares and thats the way everyone else who works in the salon conducts themselves. Hair cuts can be hard for me but I dont fear them anymore since finding this salon. They listen they care and they work with you!

Abigail Crandall Sierra did such a wonderful hair cut! I was so nervous to get it cut right, because of my curls. But she talked me through everything and helped bring my vision and curls to life! Imma definitely go back for her to cut my hair next time. It was such a calm experience and truly such a great haircut! I couldn’t have been happier with it.

Julianna Mike was an absolute delight to chat with, and gave my boyfriend a sick haircut. The shop was very clean and neat, and I loved that I got to pet his very sweet husky while I waited. He was really thoughtful and made sure my boyfriend was happy with the cut. The vibes were immaculate, and we are 100% coming back.

Michael Sundman Mike is great for kids cuts too. Took my little grems in for a trim and theres Mario Kart on the TV and gumballs for dessert. And if your kids dont behave, its a one chair shop so no need to worry about bothering other customers. Thanks Mike!

Andrew Soriano "5 Stars - Best Haircut in Eureka!" I booked a haircut here just to see if it really deserved all the hype. Usually, I go for the cheapest place around because, hey, how hard can a regular guys haircut be, right? Well, turns out, it makes a huge difference when you find the right barber. Ive seen the worst and now, hands down, the best barber shop in Eureka. This guy nailed it! I asked for a pretty standard cut, but he took it to the next level. Who knew a basic cut could look this good? Not only is the haircut spot on, but hes also a good guy – easy to talk to and professional. Made me feel relaxed. If youre looking for a top-notch cut without the fuss, this is the place.

Brandalf The Great Google suggested I review this place and I was extremely disappointed in myself for not reviewing earlier. Michael is the best barber not only in Humboldt, but the entire northern cali region. I went to the same barber in LA for 7 years until I moved to Eureka. I tried Michael out 2.5 years ago and now I see him at least once a month. Professional, highly skilled, and awesome vibes at the shop. Don’t even waste your time with anyone else. Book an appointment with Michael and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Josh Smith Mike did a great job on my hair and beard. I hadnt cut my hair for a bit, so he had his work cut out for him. He made sure that I was comfortable with everything throughout the cut, so he didnt take too much off. Very nice, clean, simple, modern barber shop in old town Eureka. He offers haircuts, beard trims, skin fades, and straight-blade razor shaves. He used a straight-blade around the edges of my beard and temples, which I have never had done before; it gives a really fresh, clean feeling. I enjoyed our friendly banter and the fact that many of the neighbors say hi when they walk by; it makes for a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The air smells of the hair tonics and beard oils that he uses and is pleasantly inviting. I learned that his barber chair has a fun history to it, as well. I will definitely be scheduling another appointment.

Danielle Reeves Aimee is amazing at cutting hair. The hallmark of a good haircut for me is that I can let it air dry and it looks good without any heat or product. Aimee accomplished this and much more! Cute salon and a great stylist!

Alicia has been cutting my hair for 2 years now...It is always clean and Alicia has been ready to go for me on time every time - which is important because I get my haircut on my lunch break. Joy Gatel Just moved to Humboldt and met a lady who recommended this salon. She also gave me a couple of names. So I called I told them I was desperate. They put me on a cancelation list and I made an appointment for the following month. About a week later I got a call. I got in, and they were great. Very friendly. Great place. I have to tell you I asked a lot of people for recommendations. They hadnt found a place they liked.

Lindsay Santsche Layla is so talented. I leave her chair each time loving my hair. I always loosely describe what I want (I am not a professional and know I never use the right terms) - she is so creative and talented and always nails it. Layla is so personable and easy to talk to. I 10/10 would recommend and always look forward to getting my hair done by her.

Ive been getting GelX from her and my current set is holding strong at 5 weeks! Shes also my first choice for when I need a trim on my hair; she gave me the cutest shaggy cut that works for my wavy hair and when I straighten it!

Desiree Robinson Hannah is an amazing hairstylist! She fit in two cuts for my boys after a failed barber shop attempt and she did an amazing job on their hair! She was prompt, so so sweet, had a tablet for the kids to play games or watch movies and gave them the best haircuts they’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

Jessica Kathleen Mercedes gave me my first Hydrafacial, Platinum to be exact, ever and it was amazing! Her room setup was so cozy, relaxing and inviting and her presence was calming. She was informative but also let you kick back and relax. My skin loved everything about the process and I immediately booked my next appointment before I left. Mercedes is a true professional!

Dawn Latham I had always loved my time with Mercedes, she was very personable. I recommended every single one of my friends and a handful even became regular clients of hers. I was always impressed by her expertise and knowledge in her field. She clearly knows what she is doing, and I felt confident in her skills. However, I did have some concerns regarding client-to-client confidentiality. I had my last session with Mercedes in Oct. 2024, and had recently been told that she was conversing in regards to a personal situation with another client and I, TO OTHER CLIENTS when I hadnt had an appointment with her in months! While I understand that personal connections can sometimes form during treatments, I would strongly recommend that clients keep things very surface-level during sessions. I would feel more comfortable if there were clearer boundaries regarding confidentiality to ensure that sensitive information stays private. I do believe Mercedes has potential, but I wanted to share this feedback as a caution for anyone who may be looking for a more discreet and confidential experience. Hopefully this doesnt happen to any of her current or future clients.

Sarah Greenwood Mercedes is a true master of her craft and an all-around incredible human being. From the second I met her, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease in her presence. Her space is very inviting and completely spotless. She is extremely thorough and the level of detail she puts into her work is extraordinary. There is a reason she is booked out well in advance – she is simply the best and well worth the wait.

Mckenna Stephens Mercedes is the only one who I trust for any type of waxing service. She is awesome, talks her clients through what will be going on, always has a smile on her face and never fails to make you feel welcomed. I recommend her to everyone because she is that good! Plus she’s always has good jams playing.

Tyler Stodder Platinum is an amazing place and experience! The float spa does wonders. If you haven’t floated and have thought about it you definitely need to try it. Better yet schedule a float massage combo and you won’t regret it! They also have a sauna that is amazing. Overall a great place to help you relax and recover!

I have thick, wavy, and curly hair that requires a little expertise to cut and style without making it look like a frizzy birds nest. I have been to many places around town; some have given me a lopsided haircut, crazy unruly layers, or just a flat-out ugly haircut. Candace consistently delivers; I have always been happy with the haircuts Ive received from her. I am flooded with compliments about my hair daily; its Candaces magic. 10/10 recommend.

HUMBLE IN HUMBOLDT This place is so nice and i get great service every time. Suzanne listens to me about what id like and puts her own creative spin to it. She is amazing at head massages! I feel super pampered each time I go in. Even though I cant afford to come in every time... Suzanne really listens to that and tunes my hair color to let it grow out naturally. I was super vague and all over the place with what I wanted in a haircut. I wanted it short, but not too short, and for it to look more voluminous. Throughout my cut Emily shared options and ideas on what works in creating the illusion of volume for thin straight hair. Very sweet and patient. The salon itself was clean and spacious.

Brandy Mann I have been seeing Ashly for about a year. She was able to take my hair from box dye black to blonde with highlights and lowlights, in one session. The results were amazing. I have very thin hair with problem thinning patches that worsen with any illness, stress or surgery. The style and color that she has created is amazing for hiding it and helps tremendously with relieving my stress over it. She is awesome. I highly recommend her.
