Casey Morris I was referred to Dulce Lopez of Salon Oveja Negra from a stylist in Chicago, IL. I was moving to LA and needed someone I could trust. Ive been going to her ever since. Almost 3 years!! I have thick curls and for most of my life went to places that had no idea how to take care of curls, or give guidance. Especially for men. Dulce completely changed the way I take care of my hair AND my scalp. I have a regiment now. I know what to stay away from product-wise. She is more than a stylist!

She cares about her clients, and remembers what youve shared in the chair. I have always had short curly hair of some kind, and shes taken me through a pixie to a bob, and back again many times. I always know Im in good hands. And, knowing her for this long...my hair has changed (postpartum, aging) and she has guided me along the way. Amy Hawes I LOVE Lock and Crown, specifically my stylist Lauren! I had a terrible experience at a chain salon years ago and then found another salon and stylist who never quite did my hair how I wanted despite having inspiration pictures. Lena Bayrakdarian Narine has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for the last 7 years and I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair. I completely trust her. The first time I came to her I had a botched haircut from another salon and I was practically in tears. She assured me she could make my hair look beautiful again and sure enough by the time I left her salon I was beaming with joy at my new haircut. Better than I could ever have imagined. Daniella W Sienna is one of a kind. I know because I was with the same hairstylist for 7 years and have never reached the stunning results and peace of mind that I have with Sienna. Im a dark blonde but have always struggled with yellowish highlights and maintaining my blonder look. Since coming to Sienna, my face lit up. My highlights are so natural looking and color match me perfectly, people are in awe when I tell them its highlighted. She also recommended me on a great purple shampoo so its with little to no maintenance! I get lots of complaints on my hair, even from strangers, and many of my friends now go to Sienna! I hired Sienna and Athena to do wedding makeup and hair for myself and my bridal party. Lexi Cross I was visiting family in Pasadena and looking for a reputable salon, I found Adrienne on Instagram and decided to book an appointment with her. It’s always hit or miss going to a new hair salon without a word-of-mouth recommendation, but I hit it off with Adrienne right away. She was easy going, super nice and welcoming. Pam has done an awesome job with making me and Elouise feel comfortable. Its wonderful seeing my little slugger get all girly with Pam. Its worth paying a little more for the experience and the great cut! I dont know where I would be with Kymmie. Im glad she finally has a home and that home is blackbyrd. Im not a very loyal hair nail etc person but for Kymmie. She rocks! I love that she makes my decisions for me and always has an opinion because I know nothing. Austin Hall This was my second haircut during Covid so needless to say A LOT of hair was removed from my noggin. I think the initial shock of seeing long hair go to much shorter hair surprised me at first and I wasnt able to truly convey at the time of the cut what I feel now. Pamela gave me my FAVORITE haircut I have ever gotten in my life (Im 30 American standard [not metric] years of age) I just brought in a picture of what I wanted and she made it happen. Easy. Breezy. Daiyaan Epps El I visited Eb Studios and she did not dissappoint! I have been visiting here for the past few years. I get my locs retwisted and the occasional trim for my beard and hairline. The area in pasadena is clean. There are plenty of shops in the nearby area. Lots a food location, and a few specialty drink places. The studio is a sized well, very intimate, and it feels like it was decorated with the client in mind. I totally recommend.

Jesse Bashiri Eboni is the absolute best hair artist ever I’ve been going to her since the start of Covid and ever since I’ve had the best hair ever! She really takes her time but while being fast and extra safe, just today someone told me how healthy my hair looks because the amount of Olaplaex she uses throughout each visit. From twist, wash and gos, box braids, curl rods and haircut she’s epic :)
