Roxie Roten My mom gifted me a day to get our nails done. We were in Modesto on some errands and the place we were going to didnt have amy walk ins available since it was Valentines day. We just happened to stumble on this place and Im so happy did!! My mom got a mani with gel paint and I hot these, Hon who did mine is absolutely UHHHHMAZING!!! They came out beautifully as well as my moms paint (a lifht peachy pink)!!! The atmosphere was super fun and some of the ladies were just hilarious!! The price was spot on too. I just moved to CA and if I had any friends here I would recommend them. However, I do not so yall who needs to get their claws on definitely come here!!!! Thanks Ladies!!!

Susan Rees I just moved to Modesto and my nephew took me to Royal Nails. The shop is bright, clean, cozy and upbeat. The Staff are all cordial and greet folks as they walk through the door. Its a small shop where everyone knows your name and even customers know other customers. Devon will definitely be my go-to for all my mani/pedi needs.

Layla Abraham They are so amazing here! My mom and I go all the time and it is our #1 nail place. They are so nice and talk to you about anything. The problem with most nail places is that they just sit and do your nails and never talk to you, the workers at royal do though! For prom, I asked to recreate a (kind of) difficult nail design, in all they turner out great

Kristina Ruble Nice and friendly, but not easy for walk ins to get in. This is probably the most expensive place I have ever had my nails done. The add up charges for every little thing on top of the base price, they added a charge for removing my polish. I came in in Birkenstocks and she said I couldnt use them and charged me another dollar to for the disposable flip flops. They wouldnt cut the ingrown on my big toe and it ended up costing $80.

Glaire Batomalaque I’ve been here once before and enjoyed the way they did my nails so I decided to try them again. The nail tech was very polite, unfortunately she was very rushed with everything she did. I think it was because I was just a walk in and her next appointment came in maybe the last 20 minutes of her doing my nails. In the end I didn’t have time to look over my nails and ended up paying $50 for a lumpy, uneven, and streaky set. I don’t think walk in or appointment should change the quality you give to your customer, especially if they’re the ones who agreed to take the walk in.

Dana Maraach Vanessa’s Nails saved me today. I got my toes done at another place and they looked so bad, like a kindergartener did them. Mind you I am a bride to be and these were for my wedding. I came into Vanessa’s panicking and they said “don’t worry, we got you!” They put my mind at ease and the results are so beautiful, more than I hoped for. Thank you Vanessa and your lovely staff for all your help! I love my nails!

Suri Nunez The first time I got a manicure here I was very pleased with the speediness, quality, and service so I decided to try them again. This second experience still checked off speediness and service but the quality drastically decreased. The primer didnt cure properly so this lead to wrinkling air pockets in my manicure.

mireya uribe I went to vanessas nail spa yesterday to fix a broken nail. Since they didnt have the color that I had I changed it. I kept my previous nails, the color and the fixing I got charged 45 dollars. I was like wow okay. So the they guy did my nails I wasnt happy when I walked out but I was like Ill give it a shot. I went through my day hating my nails. I decided to go back and my nails fixed they did it for me. Thats the only reason why they got two stars. While hes is fixing them he is telling me that its basically my fault for not getting the new nails. I dont recommend this place.

sabrina sarkaria Vanessa did my nails and provided very poor service. I had asked for a fill and had told her to please leave it coffin shaped and it came out in a total different shape. I had asked her if she can please narrow the tips down and replied with attitude. My overall experience was bad here. While she was fixing my nails she continued on making rude remarks and continuously calls me picky when all I wanted was to be satisfied with my nails because I am paying for the service. She had also told me that my nails for $40 before beginning the service and after she had charged me $55. She told me that her changing the nail shape added more money when I think she was purely being petty and raised the price just because I was unsatisfied. This was my first and last time going here and I don’t recommend this place. On the other hand David’s nails across from here provided me with fast/good service and i always leave very satisfied. I have been going there for so long and had decided to switch it up but I will not make that mistake again.

janessa ramirez (UPDATE) my toes started chipping three days after the pedi, and my nails are so thin my pinky nail broke right off, not even a week later. Absolutely insane. From three stars. To ONE. I do not recommend, I’ve told all my friends to star clear!!!! … The man who does the pedi cures is absolutely amazing! I’ve been here multiple times. And Vanessa herself is pretty good and friendly, but there is a younger man, the one without the accent. Well let me just say how UNPROFESSIONAL and frankly rude he was, on top of OVER CHARGING ME, he was watching the cowboys vs. Green Bay packers game instead of focusing on getting the job done. All I wanted was white v tip with coffin shape. And I was there over an hour just for my simple nails. He had to redo more than one nail over again. I can tell he was getting frustrated. I would absolutely NOT recommend getting your nails done by him. At all. And sadly I don’t think I’ll ever go back because of that. Because I was so satisfied with my pedicure I was being generous with my star rating. My nails are lumpy not cleaned up and over all not good at all. charged me $65. Not including the tip.

Melissa Purtlebaugh I have been coming here for years. They are always so kind here. I came close to closing today for both a pedicure and full set. They didnt turn me away. Expectational work as well.

Alexis i spent 85$ on my nails and in one week 2 nails popped right off . she fixed them for 10$ which i felt should of been complimentary but then 2 more nails popped off 2 days later and the ones she fixed popped off again a week later . my nails kept cracking and the gel started peeling right after . Ive always had my nails last 3-4 weeks before any fall off. these chipped off so easily . i’m not trying to bash this business but i wouldn’t want others spending so much for this quality .

Kim J The best !! Miss Lili shapes my nails like there is no tomorrow ! She really takes her time to make sure the shape is perfect and the polish looks nice and clean. I absolutely love my nails ! They’re so cute and she makes very good suggestions if you’re unsure on what to get! Definitely will forever be my to go spot.

Mariana Arellano Been going here for years and I dont think thats changing any time soon. I get some icky in grown toe nails and they know just how to get them (as long as I come in consistently). They do most things as long as you as. Reference photos encouraged!

April F I’ve never taken the time to leave a bad review I felt this was necessary. I walked into Luxe at 6PM on 3/8/25, It was at night so I didn’t notice until I got home at how poorly they painted my nails. They painted over dust from filing the acrylics I had on off, gel on my skin, and one of my nails wasn’t cured properly which is a HEALTH HAZARD. I included a photo where you’ll see a difference in the color of my nails. Paid $43 dollars and even tipped 20%. I’d like to highlight that uncured gel can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions… and not even making sure before curing that there isn’t gel on the skin shows such disregard for people’s health. It is one thing to paint horribly but another to allow people to walk out of the salon with uncured nails. If it wasn’t at night, I would’ve noticed. It saddens me to leave a review like this but it’s important people are aware of what you’ll be exposed to.

Zoe Hancock I absolutely love this place! Every time they NEVER disappointed. Customer service is fabulous, clean environment, great nail polish selection. Love each employee. They really know their stuff. I cant say one bad thing. You must go!

Ellie Joyce I have been here a few times and loved my manicure or pedicure each time! The salon is veryyyy clean and everyone is friendly. They really take the time to make sure that your nails are perfect! I recommended two of my friends and my mother to go here, and everyone was impressed and happy with their service!

Tammie Rich This is my favorite salon. The staff are very friendly, kind and professional. The care and attention is awesome. I have been pleased with all my treatments from manicure to pedicure. You wont be disappointed.

Jocelyne Lopez I used to enjoy coming to this salon, but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Over the years, I’ve had pedicures, manicures, full sets, and nail art services here, but the quality has significantly declined. If you’re lucky enough to get a skilled nail tech, you might leave with a set you’re happy with. However, more often than not, you’ll experience rushed and inconsistent service. While I cant speak for their other services since I no longer get pedicures here, the manicures are subpar. They take about 10 minutes—just lotion, a quick cuticle push, a couple drops of oil, and that’s it. If you care about the health of your nails, I’d highly recommend finding a different salon.

J. Kelly This place is AWESOME. I was hesitant because the last time I got my nails done (a different salon) it was a horrible experience and this would be my second time ever getting them done. But this time it was amazing. They were very nice and super professional. The woman who did my nails was faster than I expected but wasnt rushed at all! She definitely had a LOT of experience and was very good at her job! AND It was only $50 as opposed to the $95 at the last place. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!!!

Jayden K 0/10 .. A man did shaped my nails and a women painted them I understand that the nails are shaped by hand using a nail file but there was little attempt for an almond nail shape. For the price my nails are somewhat done, but most definitely called my mom after and told her it was a chop shop and that I wouldn’t go back. It was basically a “dry manicure” (and that’s what it should be marketed as) since they didn’t soak or trim my cuticles which was odd because literally that’s half the point of a manicure?! I walked out with nails the same color but all different shapes and it’s 100% noticeable. I make this review to warn y’all to find another spot .. this one truly isn’t worth my hard earned money or time. I just moved to Modesto still looking for a nail salon, this definitely won’t be it…

Katlin Marquez As a first time customer and a licensed cosmetologist heres my take away. Pros: the guy who I got was quick and gentle for the most part. I also didnt get any burning from the monomer or over usage of drill. Cons: They re use all of their files/buffers/drill bits. Which is unsanitary considering they are not able to be disinfected if they were to accidentally cut a customer. As a professional thats a huge NO. The gentleman that helped me also gave me a crooked nail. After I told him one nail was longer then the other, he told me it wasnt and continued so I didnt even bother to have him fix the crooked nail. I felt like any input I had was an issue or inconvenience. Mind you I literally came in for a BASIC pink and white set. The picture I showed had a glitter lining around the white. When he put it on 1 finger and showed me, i told him I liked the white alone better. It also saved him some work and time, however he clearly got annoyed. Lastly....... The set when I booked said $55 .(pink and white) However when I was charged it was $60 for whatever reason. I honestly was not about to argue with deaf ears. If I was charged extra for gel polish( which would of been the white) I wasnt even given and option or input. $60 for a basic pink and white set is top price but its not what I felt I got in any manner. In total I would not come back or recommend to anyone in the future. I added a photo for reference of my crooked nail.

Bunni Anderson A full set runs me on average $90-100. They do good work and they do their best to match nail designs shown to them in pics. The shop is beautiful inside. It has vaulted multi-level ceilings. They are painted as blue sky and puffy clouds. Its very serene and comfy. The staff is also kind and friendly. Good experiences here.

Thimson Nguyen Absolute Gem of a place. Im glad to see them open after waiting sooo long & they were able to make it through all the craziness this past year. The inside is a palace! You really feel at piece and the staff is sweet and very friendly. I cant wait to tell all my friends and family!

Margarita Rodriguez I asked for coffin shape and got something that looked Like square shape. She asked if i liked the shape and i told her i like them more skinny, she filed the edges but it didnt make a difference.she didnt put acrylic all the way to the top on my nail. It looks like I need a fill already. The guy who did my pedicure bearly even scrubbed them..Ive been going here for years but I think its time to find a new place.

Areli Largaespada I need to bring to your attention a recent experience I had with Victor during a pedicure session. He accidentally poked me with the instrument, and when I mentioned that he was being a bit rough, he insisted he was being safe. Despite my feedback, he continued to handle my nails roughly, prompting me to request a stop. Ultimately, I decided against completing the pedicure. When I sought assistance from another staff member, I noticed Victor had hidden the nail polish. Upon inquiring about it, he responded dismissively, saying he didn’t want to talk to me and asked me to leave. Unfortunately, no one intervened to address his behavior, and the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I believe its important to maintain a respectful environment for everyone.

kadynce ziegler Got a fungal infection on both my 1st toes. Not to mention the dude that did my pedicure was as sick as a dog and still touching everything in the salon, including my feet. Will not return, completely disgusting.

Crystal Dorsey Honestly, I wanted to give them one star but I gave them two only because Helin and Victor when Ive went prior to 07/13/2018 have did great jobs on my nails. First, I had an appointment with my friend and I still had to wait 10-15 minutes before I was seen. I showed her EXACTLY what I wanted. Second she started on my nails she began to put the regular tip on and I told her I wanted a clear tip and aggressively she replied I dont have that and continued on. Next, she has the nails on and her crying kid calls which I have on tape whom she had on SPEAKER hysterically crying. Then she cuts the first five in to the wrong shape (coffin) as she changes hands still talking on the phone I realized as she is now two nails into my other hand that its the wrong shape I tell her and show her the picture. She says "oh dont worry about it i will fix it"... So she finished with my nails and they came out absolutely opposite of what I wanted, I know she could see the disappointment in my face because of the terrible job. So I asked her to put a what color was the solid pink which another nail tech had on and she replied I dont know ask her,,, RUDE... At this point I was feed up sick and tiered and ready to leave Amys chair. At the end she charged me $40 for my nails.... OVER CHARGED... and my friend who has been going here for a year said to call and explain what happened so that they can fix her mistake and they denied to fix nails but offered me to come in and pay another $40. WHAT!!! Now I was trying not to be rude or an obnoxious customer but they obviously dont care that i have figures and can type a review of my terrible experience.

dawn Got a #3 moved to the big salon of his after the s.aller one closed. The people are just as nice though. Great service and great care. They always give good service and value. They are decorated for Christmas now.

Hanita Rebollo Fast paced people and dont like to repeat themselves, but still nice. Very crowded and didnt tell me when they were done with my nails (was my first time there so I didnt know what to do) the owner never yelled like other reviews say and was just walking around cleaning. Jimmy took care of me and he was very gentle and nice. Better than other salons Ive been to as far as feeling like theyre judging you. Will be back.

Lupita Torres Service request, quality, vibe, customer service. I asked for almond nails, and specific size and chair 30 said he couldnt go shorter. We both knew you can he just didnt want to do it. I told him TWICE I wanted them shorter and he said no to me. Im paying for this give me what Im requesting. I then asked if he can please shape them again he said no and I told him okay I want someone else to help me. He pushed my hand away went off and told me to go sit in the front and wait. He made it known that he was upset. I felt so uncomfortable, very bad service and the worst experience ever! Never again if I can I would give negative starts!!! Talk to person in charge and she said she couldn’t do anything that I can talk to ow David another day.

Rebeca Rocha I went to get my manicure and pedicure done back in December 2024, I was very disappointed with the results. I always love to get RED color and they ended up putting me an orange color. I went back two weeks later, and the owner keeps looking at the customers, like he is working for a prison watching for any movement and like he’s very hungry We are customers not criminals. He should be humble, and at least pretending to be friendly and grateful to his customers.

Sonia Literally this is only 2 days after paying for a full set these nails are complete trash. I had to sit in a chair for 2 HOURS to walk out to this garbage ass full set. Vincent number 16 by the back near the atm was horrible and I am so blown away not one person seen how horrible of a job he was doing and that he took 2 hours and not one single person not even the owner helped or offer some discount for such a poor job. These are so bad it’s embarrassing looks like I let my kid practice acrylics how is this person licensed it is a joke seriously. I came here before and the lady did an absolutely amazing job, I can’t walk out and not pay or that’s theft but this is unacceptable. I’ve tried calling just now I attached a photo for proof and someone just answers the phone and hangs up. So unprofessional

Samantha Milani Trish is amazing!! I can show her a picture of what I want and she executes it every time! My nails are always beautiful and last for 3 to 4 weeks with no chipping, no acrylic lifting, and the price is reasonable. Best nails tech I’ve ever went to!

L L Nicki was amazing! Did perfect on my toes. Would come back for a pedicure with her. Linda was aggressive with my gel x service and not consistent. The nails look decent but one hand isn’t sealed and I got cut on three nails. Not the best at shaping nails either. Paint job looks like I personally did it and what’s the point in paying for something I could’ve done better. But prices aren’t bad.

Brandee Ogunbanwo I loved it. I had a very good experience. I had 3 people assist in my services and they were all very friendly and kind. It was a relaxing environment and the music was good, actually added it to my Apple Music lol. I included a picture of what I asked for and that’s exactly what I received! I received a dip powder manicure and a pedicure with acrylic enhancements, very reasonable pricing!

Kali Rodriguez Michael gives the best pedicure ever! Joanne does my nails! Both are quick, but very thorough! Joanne is eager to make sure my nails are done the way i like them! I love NT nails!

Brian buffed & delicately carved my nails just as I like without me having to point anything out. I hate when i have to do that. I love the sparkly gold tips he gave me & im very happy with my visit here!

Celeste Erickson This nail salon was amazing! I was very impressed on how beautiful my daughter’s nails turned out. My daughter says that the woman that did her nails was very gentle and professional. I enjoyed how quick the nails were finished. If you like this color the name of it is, Baby Girl, #479. This salon was very clean and well kept. It was a very enjoyable experience here. Make sure to stop by sometime!

Tryphena Powell My first time here and I was so glad they were able to give me an appointment last minute. the place is super clean and definitely not a nail "chop shop". All of their tools and supplies are sanitized. For the quality of service and cleanliness of salon, they have really reasonable prices.

Dawna Reed I always have a good experience @ Serenity nail salon. Every staff member is welcoming & listens to your request. Amy did my pedicure. I requested short nails. She was hesitant to make them a shorter than the end of my toe. I explained that it would be uncomfortable if my toenails touch against the inside of my shoes. She understood and trimmed them perfectly. She did a beautiful job. And I’m super happy with her work.

Aurora Armas Pedicure was exactly as I needed. My manicure is perfection. Feeling beautiful and ready for the holidays! Everyone was very kind and helpful. I salon was clean, peaceful, elegant and spacious. So much nicer than most salons around. Definitely going back.

Rachel Cisneros Had an acrylic overlay and nails fell off six hours later. They lifted, not one but all of them! Worst salon I ever been to. Don’t go here! I had a trade show to go see clients and this was awful! Didn’t have time to get them done again before the show and this place cost me over 60 bucks! Unbelievable! I do not think the people there are all licensed to work here.

Anna Kucher Go see Tina! She is precise and efficient. Does the best dip manicure that lasts 3/4 weeks! Other salons I’ve had to come back in as little as 2 weeks to get them redone. I won’t go to anyone else now that I found Tina!

Mariah Little Brandon and his staff are extremely nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place! The lady who did my nails was very informative of everything before she started. She was so friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back again thank you for making me feel me again!

Lesley McClintock Needed a nail fixed. Walked in to ask if they had time to fix one nail. The lady was so rude she wouldnt even answer me. I couldnt hear her so I asked the lady near her what she said. She said she already had appts. They DO NOT TAKE walk ins. Rude is the normal and I would rather use press on ones than go here. Rude and disrespectful. No thank you

Becky Lee I love this place!!! It is relaxing and the customer service is so great and everyone is so kind. My gel manicure is still all attached after 4 weeks when I was t able to make it in. They use great products and have quality work Quinn and her husband are so nice and such hard works. $65 for gel manicure and pedicure. Can’t beat it.

Catherine Garcia Really difficult to take good photos of the damage that is on my nails BUT my nails started peeling a couple days after I got them. Also, the white V tips are not even on my nails. Ugh I WFH so I type and I have a little one. There is no reason my nails should be having a lot of tiny bubbles and the clear coat keeps coming off. I called them like a week after I got them done to fix them and they only fixed one nail and then put clear coat on some other nails. It’s 2 days later and clear coat is coming off again. We paid $60 and these nails have barely last a week. Upsetting.
