Her salon has always been a happy place with satisfied customers and collegial stylists. Shes one of the best in town!

Ingrid Miller Parking can sometimes be difficult to find and may need to park on the busy street. The service was great. I was immediately greeted and shortly after Brianne my stylist came out. I was very happy with my balayage hair! Would totally recommend to anyone.

Terra Ogle Price seemed a little high so they offered me a price match. I found Redken color shampoo 2$ cheaper at Penny’s online. They gave me a refund of 2$. May not seem like much, but money is tight these days. Thank you! I will be back.

Quang NG GREAT deal, service and products. I believe the store is taken over by the new owner now. They have new products with lots of good promotion. I have been here for a couple of times and their shampoo is very good. They will help you with lots of helpful details if your first time here. RECOMMEND here and will be back.

Coco Briggs I’ve been going to Culture for almost a year now. Hailey, the owner is my stylist. She is incredibly kind and thoughtful! She’s also a great listener and honest when it comes to what the process of whatever service you’re asking for can/will do to your hair. She’s a professional in her field and as a small business owner myself, I’m very appreciative of it! The new location fits them so well and is a very comfortable environment. I am happy to have found someone that is genuine and passionate about what they do, but also takes care of the ladies that are part of Culture.

Meghan Mendes Not only is Hailey one of the sweetest and most hardworking person I have met, but the second you walk into her salon she makes you feel welcome! She talks you through your inspiration and wants and always recaps the plan to confirm you both are on the same page. She offers snacks, drinks, and amazing conversations the whole appointment.I have had a few different services from Hailey but my most recent was chopping my hair off into a cute bob. Post partum can be hard and I wasn’t feeling my best so I booked a haircut! Julia pampered me with an amazing hair wash and condition! Hailey gave me a gorgeous cut that brought joy to me and made me feel… dare i say…. sexy!!! All the girls in the salon PUMPED ME UP. I left that day feeling like a new woman!!! Sarah listened to what my goals were and delivered a finished product that would work for me and my lifestyle without damaging my hair. Sheecid Lopez I booked an appointment online for a haircut as a new client. I had been rescheduled twice. The hair cut itself was fine. I spoke to my stylist about wanting to go blonde. She booked me a balayage instead of the service i needed. That same day I booked, i got a call to reschedule again. I rescheduled it but let the person know that it was to go blonde and she kept it as a balayage appointment. When I show up to my appointment I let my stylist know that I am there because I want to go blonde. She does a balayage anyway. I let her know that I had previously colored my hair. She didn’t do a test strand. At no point in the times I rescheduled my appointment or when I was getting the balayage done did they tell me that I needed a full foil or did I have a consultation done before hand. I ended up paying nearly 200$ for a service I didn’t even want

Becca Hale Read Andrea has done a fabulous job with my hair, despite all the chlorine damage and rotation of product usage by myself. She gave me specific instructions on how to repair, and she continued to persist with treatment during appointments. My hair has miraculously improved, by far! The salon facilities are warm and inviting. They always offer me a drink, which is always needed when I arrive. Very friendly staff at Allure Salon!

Garby I went today and got a haircut with Dani. She did an amazing job on cutting my hair. She really is such a sweet and kind soul. She listened to what I wanted and took the time on my hair to make sure I left the salon as a happy customer. I definitely was happy. She definitely found her calling in life doing hair.

Bre Emms Mario did such an amazing job on my daughter’s hair. Not only is he very talented, but he is also very understanding. I live an hour South of Chico, and due to the weather, Hwy. 99 and Hwy. 70 had closed down in between Oroville and Chico. I had to find a back road, and we were 25 minutes late. He still helped us and made my daughter very happy with her new hair color. I am looking forward to getting my hair done by Sydney next week, because from what I have seen, everyone at Allure is very talented. I also came and had my hair done by Sydney. She gave me exactly what I wanted, and trust me, that’s difficult to accomplish. She did such an amazing job, that I came back for a second time. It’s very difficult to find someone that will listen to your wants, and she is definitely the best! Everyone at Allure is amazing!

Tiffany T. This was my first time going to an actual salon. I was so very pleased with the price! On top of that my hair cut is AMAZING!! Mai did a wonderful job!!! I have hair with many different textures (straight, wavy, curly) and she did excellent making look even all the way around my head. I took off about 4 inches. She was very nice also. I will go here every single time I want a cut.

Cher Tibbitts Gary the owner did not disappoint! Mom told me he was an excellent hair stylist and she was right. In all my yrs of haircuts these were the best layers ive ever had done to my long hair and im skeptic on trying new hair places but i have definitely found my new regular hair place! And hes so fast too! I wish i had tipped more had i known it would turn out so wonderful. I sure will come more prepared next time with extra $$. Star Smith Very disappointed. This was my first time booking an appointment here. My normal salon was full. Services here were a little more expensive, but I have an important event coming up so I took a chance. Appointment was at 4:45 pm. I showed up to the salon and my stylist was not there. I then received a text stating she was running late and if we can reschedule to 5:30pm. I wasn’t happy as I drove down from Paradise and didn’t have anywhere to go, but I agreed and did some light shopping to kill some time. I arrived back at the salon at 5:38pm to find my stylist was still not there. I texted her and let her know I was there and got no response. I waited until 5:50 pm!! I finally texted and told her I could no longer wait as I had a babysitter and had to get home. As I was leaving the stylist finally responded asking me to wait 5 more minutes. And stating she would do my hair really fast….. no ma’am, I don’t want someone rushing through my cut. This service was $150..I get better treatment at Great Clips. So unprofessional. Don’t waste your time at this salon. They clearly don’t hold their stylists to any kind of standard.

Kammi knows exactly what shes doing and better yet its so affordable way more affordable than the places at Downtown Chico. Took less than 10 min with her. Jasmine Somsak She ruined my balayage i went in for a root touch up she dyed my hair to dark i asked if she could get my roots without it getting on my blonde then after the fact when i told her it was to dark she said go buy product just wash it a few time i go to salon so i dont have to to it myself and or have to get more thing just to get my hair back to what is was on top of that my forhead was dyed she didnt even help me get it off a professional would have wiped the dye after applying i went home and was so upset she ruined my hair when i reached out she refused to take my call or respond she wont try to make it right the owners an amazing an skilled professional very disapointing her store not being kept the the same standards i will not return i would not recomend

Calia Last month I contacted Hair Haus and asked for a balayage. I was referred to Lilly. When I contacted Lilly I was instructed to send her a picture of my current hair and an inspiration photo. I asked for a natural blonde balayage and layers. She said she would be happy to do it and seemed confident in achieving my hair goals. When I got to the salon we briefly discussed what the plan was which was confusing to me because we had such a detailed conversation prior to the appointment. I found it odd that not only was another stylist helping in doing my hair but was guiding Lilly along and answering all of her questions about what to do next. Once I got to the shampooing portion of the appointment I also found it odd that Lilly had to ask other stylist what volumes of toners to use and asking to borrow other stylist product because she had none of her own. It wasn’t until I was under the dryer that I realized my hair was bleach blonde. Other than my roots my entire head of virgin hair was bleached. No highs and lows no natural blonde shade just bleached blonde hair. She cut my hair but did not put in layers and proceeded to charge me $315 for a “balayage” and a “haircut.” I was mortified once I got home and looked in the mirror. I contacted Lilly to ask her if she could fix my hair and she agreed but only if I paid her more money. I already felt overcharged for the service provided. My hair is now bleached blonde with orange tips. This was my worst experience I have ever had at a salon and I would highly recommend staying away from Lilly as my hair in no way reflects my inspiration photo and is now bleached and dead. Extremely unsatisfied. My name is Niki I am not using a fake name I do not have a google account or any social media and Lilly knows this about myself. Using a friends google account to write a review because I do not have my own is not me hiding behind my review but thank you for your assumption. Two stylist working on my hair was not the problem the problem was that Lilly had to be walked through what to do and asked questions the entire time. The other stylist even had to explain to her how to brush my hair without making me want to cry. If Lilly was more than capable of doing my hair she would have done what I asked. As a salon owner you should care a little more about the clients walking into your salon. Being charged $315 for an all over bleach I could have had my niece do at the Chico beauty college for $50 is wrong! I mentioned dying my hair my root color to cover up all of the yellow/orange she put into my hair not just dying it some random shade of brown. At the end of the day a refund is what I asked for because she charged me for a balayage and layers neither of which I got. I am in contact with the California State Board to resolve this. You don’t need to respond to my comment all you are doing is trying to make your salon and yourself look good to others reading this. Anyone interested in checking out my $315 “Natural blonde balayage” by Lilly check out the three photos I have uploaded under “photos.”

Drew Frinsmertz I had an awesome experience here thanks to Lily! She was very thorough in our consultation & We were able to talk into detail of what I wanted, which made me feel so much more confident in the chair. The other stylists are sweet & help eachother out if needed. The whole salon has a good vibe & the owner knows how to run a business. Lily the sweetest soul, she will always make sure you are comfortable or bring you snacks if needed! I would reccomend this place and Lily to anyone!

Maddi Johnson Horrible experience with Morgan Skala. It took 8 HOURS to get highlights and lowlights, and my hair turned out nothing like I wanted or what we discussed in our consultation. I walked out very blonde for a brunette, and I had wanted a richer brunette look for winter, with some highlights to blend my grays, but no more highlights than I already had. My hair initially came out orange on the top and she had to re-do it. She hardly apologized for all the trouble, and in my opinion, way over charged me, considering the mistakes and how long it took- $230. Overall poor customer service… accused me of not appreciating her work and being “demanding.” I suppose for not wanting to walk out with orange hair?? In 8 hours, I didn’t even get a full trim because I could not stay any longer. I do not recommend booking with her. She gave me a partial refund of $50 (and gaslighted me in her text back) when I expressed my concerns. While I appreciate the partial refund, I will still have to pay someone much more to fix my hair.

Holley Estrada Received a terrible hair cut from my normal hairdresser. April squeezed me in last minute and fixed it. She knew just what to do and cleaned it up without losing the length. She was so kind and understanding. Great at her craft!

Sagar Fowler So each time I have been in Chico over the last few years I have been frustrated with barbers. So this time I went for a salon, Natalie was the lovely lady that had time in her schedule to fit me in. When I walked in the aroma was very pleasant unlike so many salons, it felt roomy yet warm and comfortable. Nicely broken up to allow for privacy and function at each station. Natalie was an extremely interesting and proficient stylist who can carry on a conversation and make you feel welcome. After a nice smooth, gentle, cut off too the very comfortable wash basin. For what if it had lasted 5 more minutes would have put me to sleep, rinse and wash. When it was all done I couldnt believe she was only charging what a normal barber would charge. So many salons are double the price of a barber for a simple buzz cut. So I was more than happy to pay what was asked and more. When I am in Chico I will without doubt return the Two22 salon and to Natalie. I did only rate 4 stars because they were unable to help me with my facial waxing needs.

The salon is really nice and clean. They do have a comfortable waiting area. Im sure everyone there requires an appointment. Definitely worth the money. Anna Sanchez Made an appointment to get my hair done for graduation months in advance. Three hours before the appointment the hair stylist texted me saying she had a scheduling conflict and canceled my appointment without trying to find someone else to do it or another time that would work. Literally left me hanging. I contacted her multiple times for alternate arrangements and she never got back to me. SO unprofessional. Also from what I have seen and experienced they don’t know how to properly blowout curly hair here. Will never be coming here again.

Nicholle Schmidt I am super pleased with my hair. I received a haircut and full highlights. The stylist really took the time to ask questions along the way and discuss the look I was aiming for. My only point of confusion was the booking online price versus what I actually paid. Online when booking through Vagaro, it says a haircut and full highlight is only $160, but I was charged $225 (not including tip) at the end of the appointment. I think it would be worthwhile to change the online pricing to better reflect what customers will actually be paying in-person. That being said, I would definitely return and recommend to others.

Sherree Milnes I absolutely LOVE Sookies hair salon! Sookie is an amazing and brilliant hair stylist that will provide you with superior style and leave you looking radiant. This salon is the best in Chico and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone. I came to Sookie about 8 months ago in May of 2019 wanting hair exstentions. I had shopped around to other salons and was looking at an average cost of around $1000 for temporary exstentions that would last me 6-8 weeks tops. Sookie not only educated me in the different type of hair exstention but also gave me the pros and cons of each type. After careful consideration I choose to go with Sookies recommendations and get real human hair I-Tip exstentions. They were delivered over night and put in the next day. It has been 8 months and I still have them in and they look just a lishish as they did the day she put them in. I give Sookies hair salon my highest recommendations!!

From the color to the cut it is always done correctly without disappointment. It is worth every penny because lets face it, a woman hair cut mistake is a year mistake or longer. Summer H7 km pp What an amazing salon !!!! Jennifer did such an amazing job coloring my hair . She was very knowledgeable, professional and super friendly to talk to . I showed her a picture and combined with her expertise she nailed it !! I wanted to add platinum to my hair and I love it . All the staff was very kind and inviting and it was a wonderful experience.
