He is very professional, very clean love the work they do. The product they use is very high end and quality product for ur hair .The hair stylist was Claudia stylist was . I highly recommend her Claudia she did an awesome job she was worth every penny . :))))) I highly recommend her .

Sara Lozada I had never dyed my hair before and Erik did an amazing job! I asked for highlights and a subtle look for my roots and he did exactly that! My hair still feels healthy and strong even after the bleach. Amazing customer care and affordable pricing, I will be coming here from now on.

Yvonne C I have been getting my hair dyed, treated, corrected and cut for many years by there hair stylist Isidro. I rarely trust anyone but him. At By Grace Salon they use the best products, take the time to give you a one on one consultation, good atmosphere, very personable would recommend.

Brian Sims Manny has been cutting my hair since the late 90s in Coronado and now this location on Saturdays, the best barber you will find in San Diego! Call for an appointment ahead of time. This is an outstanding location the staff is always friendly, warm and welcoming and making you feel at home.

Gigi E Horrible service. Been trying to make an appointment for a month. Calling them, texting 2 different numbers on their IG bio, sending Ig messages. Nothing for a month. They finally answered 3 days ago and the day I wanted my appointment is here now and I haven’t heard from them. Absolutely horrible service.

Dilaram Jabari Got a haircut, treatment for my dehydrated hair, and styled. It was my second time going to Isidro and he gave me exactly what I needed. I am not good at articulating what kind of style I need, but he was able to understand what I was asking for and continuously checked to make sure I was happy with my cut. Isidro took the time to educate me on how to care for my curls. High recommend him to anyone looking for a new hair dresser.

Tayrene Edwards One Nail Studio #56 by Annie. She is really sweet and takes the time needed on your nails. I loved not feeling rushed for the next customer. I got a shellac mani/pedi for my vacation for $72. Its been almost 2 weeks and my nails still look good (keep in mind pics are 2 weeks old)

Lisa Smith This place is very unprofessional And Denise is very rude. My mom had an appt with her at 10am for a consult and could not find the place and called her to get further directions when she got to the shopping center and Denise told her she had an appt at 1015 and said she had to reschedule instead of helping her get there when my mom had to take an Uber there and back. Her customer service sucks and we will definitely not be going there for any of their services thanks to Denise. My mom still had 15 mins to get there before Denise called her to reschedule. My mom just got over cancer and was looking for a way to do her hair that is now barely growing back. But thanks to Denise we will now be looking for somewhere else to go.

Jennifer Doyle Sola Salon Studios is at a convenient location located in East Chula Vista, in the Otay Ranch Mall. It features separate spaces for the different hairstylists and beauticians, which creates a calming and relaxing, intimate atmosphere. Highly recommended specifically is Hairbizznez by Maria, whom our family has used for years. Maria takes her time to get the right style and works closely with each client. Her work does not disappoint!

Alondra Varela Went with Mila on the first salon going in to the left. She had a sign by the window that haircuts were $18 for a Sept promo, but otherwise no clear price list. I literally just had a hair cut and for some reason charged me $75, super sketchy on how she upped that price. She sprayed me a couple of times with something and apparently that was sone kind of “treatment”, which I didnt ask for. She also wasnt very nice. The whole time she complained how I had buildup but repeatedly mentioning it, honestly felt super judged. Because of hormone issues I struggle with dry scalp, but she seemed annoyed by it and her negative comments kept going and going. I refused to have my hair straightened, just air blown but insisted arguing that I needed it. Surely she charged me for it. Not going back!

Kitzia Correa If you are looking for a hair salon try Sola studios. Everyone has their little own studo, great for privacy. My hair came out so soft. I recommend Charlie & Hair of this salon. I love that she wasnt rushed and took her time.

Marjory Martinez I love going with Mr. Posh, he has been my hairstylist since I was 13, and he never fails to impress. I can always describe to him what I would like to have done and he gets it done or comes out with even better results than expected. For my last visit I said I wanted peek-a-boo balayage with mermaid colors, I chose 4 potential colors and this is what we came up with. Definitely recommend, and I will be going back soon for a new color.

Sarah Arce Starting off with, I was refunded my money. The entire amount. I received color and cut. It was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. I made a appointment with Martin for Friday morning. I show up, to be handed off with someone with 4 years experience. She was very nice. But she didn’t come close to giving me what I asked for. I’ve been growing my hair out, my hair was basically virgin. She massacred me. My hair broke off. The color was brass. 6 hours of sitting, no ac, humid weather, and they still couldn’t fix their screw up. Martin did zero to help her. He tried selling me with the idea of how good it looks. It was BAD. Then I said I had to leave. I would come back tomorrow to fix it. Martin left me high and dry the whole weekend. Never called me back to confirm I was coming back to see him. My husband went by twice to get his attention. Sunday we caught this guy cutting hair. Never called us back. So my husband waited for him to give us our money back so I could fix it. BEWARE….the comments about Martin and his unprofessional behavior is true. Now I have to let my hair grow out so I can fix it. I don’t want to damage it more. Posh is ridiculous! And who’s name is Posh??!! Geez should have known from the jump. Beware!

Lyn Alatorre i have to say, the cosmetologists exceeded my expectations!!! Edna and Maria Luisa did such a beautiful job getting my hair light enough to be able to go ginger copper color! not only that but Edna then styled my hair so beautiful! Maria Luisa is amazing; she was always informing me what she was doing and checking up on me to make sure i was okay during the bleaching process. they both have amazing customer service which is the most important thing to me! i walked out of there feeling so gorgeous. they worked together to make sure everything came out smooth. i’m very thankful for my experience today and will definitely be back for any toning or touch ups as needed! thank you so much Maria Luisa and Edna! you girls are awesome! i would definitely ask for them when booking!

Teri McGee I had gone to another salon a couple months ago for a color and they had really messed my color up. My hair was two different colors on the top and bottom. On top of that, I had two months of grow out so my natural color was showing too. I have some gray and a natural white streak in my hair. So, by the time I came to Mattys, my hair was 5 different colors. Lorena did a phenomenal job. She was able to get my hair the exact shade I wanted and made it consistent throughout which took a bit of magic. I couldnt be happier. All of the employees are friendly, the salon is clean and classy. All together, I would have expected top tier prices for the level of service but the prices were very reasonable. Ill definitely be back.

Bianca Baldridge Ive been coming to this hair salon since highschool over 10 years. Haircut prices go up and down for no apparent reason never consistent literally I paid $18 for a haircut then $20 the next then $25 the next then back to $20 2 months ago and all of a sudden today it was $30?! If you want to get cheated out of money by all means go to this salon because they seem to pick a price of the same haircut Ive been getting on a daily basis. Mediocre at best went for the good price might as well go to a good place and pay the same amount.

Vivian Tayson I am currently 19 years old and have been coming to Yangja ever since I was in third grade ♡ She has been taking care of my mom and I for over ten years and has never missed her mark ! I like to maintain short, shoulder length hair with wispy straight bangs and Yangja is consistent in delivering what I always want. My mom and I are huge fans of how she texturizes as it leaves our hair looking soft, voluminous yet light in weight. I always receive compliments on my hair because of this! I also plan on growing my hair out over the winter and Yangja always gives great advice on how to maintain the health of my hair. In terms of customer service, now that I’m older and no longer have my mom to schedule/always come with me to my appointments, Yangja is easy to book with since she is very prompt with replying. During my appointments, I’m always comfortable with her because she is naturally a person who is easy and fun to talk to. I usually like to talk a lot but on other days where I’m tired from work/just want to rest, she is great at adjusting to my energy. Maria Wack We were looking for a stylist who knows how to precision cut, not just blow dry and curl hair. If I dont style my hair after washing, a clean cut still makes it look presentable, and lovely. Yangja cuts hair with expertise only gained from experience, impeccable training, and talent. We usually make two appointments, one for my mother, and one for me. We have gone to Yangja for a couple of years, and she manages to make both our hair look great, and different. We are so grateful to have found her!

Carlos Daniel Marquez The application for Sola Salon gave me Ashton to book for a hair cut. I booked through booksy.com as stated through the Google site to be at 12:30. Ashton did not even open the door and yelled behind the door by appointments only. What a horrible customer service. I am glad he does not need my money and he does not need new customers.

Crissy Leen LOV & CO is for sure my best kept secret. Lala and Kassandra are incredibly talented and have so much knowledge. Every time that I come here for my me time so much I love. They are masters in color correction and all kinds of Ballayage, extensions and great treatments. I recommend to all my friends and believe me happens often people stop me to ask where I had my hair done. I come to see Kassandra a little more than 3 years and not only Lala and her are sweethearts but I 100% trust both doing my hair. They also do Amazing makeup and the list goes on. Even my mom when she comes to visit she comes to see Kassandra. Believe me these Girls are INCREDIBLE!!

Megan Yoana is the best found GEM in San Diego County!! Her expertise, vision & execution is so top notch!! I found her on yelp and the reviews dont lie...she is really THAT good! She also uses olaplex in ALL of her dying services because she truly cares about the integrity of your hair. I love when stylist use olaplex & wish more were as adamant like Yoana!! Rachael Planishek Please avoid this salon unless you want your hair ruined. As a background, I’ve been getting balayages done for 5 years now so I had the blonde base to work with. I showed the stylist the first picture as my inspo pic (which has been the same inspo pic since I started getting balayages) and she quoted me a price of almost 400$. I agreed to the price because it was similar to what I had paid before. I should’ve been alarmed from the beginning when the stylist said she wasn’t going to touch my roots. I always have them do color on my roots 1-2 shades darker than my natural color to create a nice contrast (as seen in the inspo pic as well.) When it came time to blow dry, I noticed that my entire head looked like it was nothing but a dark ashy blonde. When I raised concerns about this, my stylist said that they don’t touch the roots for a balayage and that it would be 85$ for them to do my roots. If I needed a shadow root, she should’ve known from the moment I showed her the inspo pic and should’ve included it in the initial price. She was resistant to getting her manager and only after getting her involved did they finally say it would be free of charge. Then when she was drying my hair off after the shadow root, you could tell it was haphazardly done. There are blocks that look weird right in the front of my face and there’s not melting of the colors so it looks awful. Also my ends are significantly darker than they were when I came in (see the third picture for my prior blonde color and the second picture for what I left with today.) When I raised this concern to my stylist, she just told me that it would lighten when I washed it. I told her when I came in that I was going on vacation in 2 days and was getting my hair done for that. I had no intention of washing my hair prior to vacation because I knew they would be washing it today. But then it didn’t even matter because she left a ton of dye in my hair so the hairs around my neck were stuck together and the dye stained my clothing because I didn’t know it was there (please see fourth picture of what was coming out of my hair before I washed it.) I had to come home and immediately shower. So I paid 400$+ for hair that I will now have to get touched up at another salon. Highly dissatisfied and will definitely not return. I also want to warn others because your money would be better spent somewhere else. If you’re going to go here, just be prepared to have to go somewhere when they mess up your hair.

Ashley Holbrook I came in just for a haircut today with Max. He did exactly what I wanted and was easy to talk to. My layers were cut exactly how I wanted them. He explained the prices of everything before starting so there were no surprises. I am relieved and happy that I found my new stylist after moving from Florida.

Both stylist listen to what you need and will explain the process before you choose what you want. Just check out my pictures. Call for an appointment and ask for any of these stylists. You wont regret it. I shopped my hair n they were able to fix it. Hair feels great!

Security Supervisor I have been coming here since 2010, and though I have tried many other barber shops specializing in mens hairstyles, Im never satisfied and find myself coming back to Divas. My family have also made the transition to Divas and it has been worth it because everyone is always satisfied. The truly best part I love about Divas is the scalp massage!!! Seriously, Id pay $10 just for a scalp massage.

Samantha Sanchez I went to get my hair toned and add some treatment. Loved the results! Irma helped me choose the best toner and took her time explaining what results each shade would have. Also my hair was completely dead and she made it bouncy, full,shinny, and brought it back to life! Loved it! I will will be coming back and recommending it to everyone! Ihave not had my hair so full and shinny in years.

Carolina Reaper I did not like my haircut, and the customer service was bad. I waited for 5 minutes with no one acknowledging me or welcoming me, when the stylist came out she was rude and just said “ do you have an appointment” I said yes and for what time, she asked if I know who it with with, I said I don’t remember and she checked, then seated me at her station. She ignored me mostly during the haircut and didn’t ask me how I’m doing or make much conversation at all, except a couple technical questions, which I’m okay with, except she was nicer and friendlier to the other customers at the salon. This made me question why I was treated coldly compared to others. I wanted a bob, my stylist probably didn’t know how to cut curly hair because it came out terribly choppy and uneven. At the end of the cut I pointed out the left side was noticeably longer, and she tried to fix it, but it was still way longer and for some reason she cut the front pieces inches shorter than the rest of my head making it look ugly and disconnected. Also, I wanted the back to be short and stacked in layers, and somehow the back was actually longer than the front despite my request. The layers were too long. Eventually at the end I felt she wouldn’t be able to do any better due to lack of skill so I just lied that it was fine so I could go home. It took me a long time to write this review, (this happened 3 weeks ago), because I was so upset about it and it stresses me to remember. I’ve hated my new hair and tried to resist going back to another salon out of fear of money wasted and it coming out poorly. But I just couldn’t live with this ugly hair and went to a salon today where they fixed it and agreed it was very uneven and not looking great. Thankfully the new salon and haircut turned out great, but I will never be back here and will recommend against it to those I know

Sally Phillip Other than that the place is clean and inviting, Mr. Art is a professional stylist. I have been looking for 16 years for someone who knows what he is doing, and cutting in a style. He is very respectful; asked about my opinion as he goes. I can tell how good his is cutting from his speed, how he held the scissors, how he gave his opinion about what works and what does not work with my hair texture. Mr. Art took extra time although he had other obligations. He is a hidden Jewel. Finally! I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE.

Angelica Huizar I have always come to Carolina. I am very picky when it comes to my hair. Being a 2 time cancer survivor. My new hair is 8 years old. And because I had weight loss surgery last year. I needed to add hair extensions and of course, she did an amazing job. You be a fool to not have her do your hair.

Rosa Hernandez I had a one star experience. When I walked in for my appointment, Alma asked if I saw the text message she sent me I was confused since we set the appointment over the phone. She texted me to move my appointment from 1:00 to 1:30. Anyways I was waiting since 1 o’clock for my appointment did not get attended until 2:30 I was supposed to get a color and keratin treatment. After the color and wash she said that it’s her husband’s birthday and to excuse her for she will not be finishing the appointment and was trying to have me leave home half done. As I got up to leave she asked the next client to sit down on the chair to do a keratin treatment on her. That’s when I decided to speak up for myself explaining how this is unprofessional and and unfair the owner of the store came to speak with me and asked if I wanted her to dry my hair I said yes I would appreciate it. That’s when Alma spoke up and told the owner “ No No no do not touch her hair I started I will finish the hair the owner said will if you want” that’s when she said well she will have to come back on Monday to finish the hair. The owner did not try to help me out the same day she did not want to help fix the issue the same day she also agreed with Alma and told me to come back on Monday. Like what!??

Carolina My salon experience was great. Angelina cut my hair and she cut my hair even better than I expected she cut the length that I asked her to and suggested a style with what I had told her I wanted and what i did not want and she understood me perfectly. She is an expert. Go with Angelina you will leave definitely very happy and very pleased. You will definitely come back.

Antuan Phan I had my hair colored by Martha, she was nice and explained the process to me since this was the first time I was having this done. Overall a smooth process, qnd I cant wait for my hair to lighten up to really see the end result.

Mustafa Alrubaiee Dont even go there. They have the worst service and they use bad products. I did the $88 creatine treatment and they said it will last me 5 months after one week my hair went back to normal. I called to check on that they told me the girl who did my hair will contact me next week. 3 weeks later no one contact me. And when I call them they tell "oh our policy say after the first week we dont fix it for you". They do a terrible job. Take your money somewhere else better than this place.

Kaitlyn H I first got a consultation for a color correction due to the hair I tried to bleach not lifting evenly at all. Instead of giving me a set price, they were willing to work within my budget to get as close to my desired results as possible. Sarah went above and beyond to be gentle with my fine tangle-prone hair and the results were better than I even expected. In addition to the color correction we did a peachy toner and I’m in love with the look. Sarah was so nice and amazing at her job! You can see how even the lift and color was to the under portion of my hair in the photo. I would recommend Sarah to anyone, especially for a color correction! The complimentary services, snacks, and water are just cherries on top of a salon with prices that are comparable with most salons. Thank you Sarah!

Pearl It was okay. I’m very picky when it comes to my hair because I’ve had really bad experiences. When I got there I wasn’t sure where to go and there was just a lot of ladies bundled up chatting so I just sat down and waited. Finally I figured out that their “check in” is on the Side of the salon. And I got up to get some help. I had booked a service for 170$ that got changed to $175. This was done online, no one contacted me for the change. I figured maybe it was a time frame thing and the other service just means more time. Then I got there and I was told it would be 285$ for everything that was talked about. We talked about adding a gloss and two types of highlights. And a deep conditioner. It was really relaxing. And everyone was super friendly. But the highlights did feel rushed and the final product looks a little sloppy at the roots. She was trying to work in two other clients while i was there though. So that’s probably why. Well, here’s the best part, when I went to pay they increased the price yet again. I thought they had included the “recommended products” (a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask). So I didn’t say anything and as I was getting ready to Leave she told me those haven’t even been added yet. Initial price online: $170 Price after talking to stylist 285$ price that I paid after my 25$ tip 400$ price after I bought the conditioner, shampoo and hair mask $575. Now, I know you get what you pay for but I’ve had a balayage with beautiful highlights for less than that. Not to mention all the products here have very very strong chemicals. And some of the highlights in the front of my hair do look a little tacky for my taste. I can’t put my bangs up without it looking like I have a huge chunk of random yellow highlights with a hard finish before it gets to the roots. I will be keeping them and maintaining them for a while since I don’t want to mess my hair up again with more chemicals. But I think I’ll keep looking around for a stylist that can dedicate all the hours I book with them to my hair. And more importantly, find a salon that isn’t trying to sneak up costs on you. You should know up front all the costs before they start to work in your hair. Personally I don’t mind paying more if the work is worth the money.
