jimmia jones The most disrespectful customer service Ive ever had. I had an appointment with these people since last week. I called in and I told her that I wanted to wash a blow dryer and a flat iron for my daughters hair I asked how much it would be. She told me it depends on the hair. I told her my daughter has really curly hair. She told me she needed to see it I said okay thats fine. When I arrived to my daughters appointment she said that she expected regular curls whatever that means. She told me its going to take a long time. I said okay how much she told me $80 I said thats fine. Just as she was going to start to wash my daughters hair a male employee said oh she wants to wash too no thats going to be more money. I said I had already spoke to her about what I needed for my daughter all she had to do was look at her hair she said $80. He said that he didnt know that she wanted a wash, blow dry, a flat iron , I told him but she knew . The man argue with me about numerous of things I told them that I was going to wait till my daughter get situated and then go out shopping I pulled out my phone to take a photo before I left out the door that was an issue he proceeded to point to a sign saying that they were recording and told me that the sign said no recording then told me that they couldnt service me. Are you kidding me I had this appointment since last week since I walked in the door it was nothing but issues after issues. It was very disrespectful They need to work on their customer service skills and communication skills as a team.

Vikram Parmar Stacy and Jackie do a fantastic job with hair cuts. Im a regular here and I have tried a few other places before but nothing beats their haircuts especially the fades. Jackie and Stacy take time to give the best possible haircut. Appointments highly recommended otherwise you may end up waiting for hours. Slightly pricier than other barber shops close by but totally worth it.

P D I took an appointment with Sunita for a facial after reading good reviews about her salon services. Sunita is very pleasant and makes clients feel relaxed. She has explained the process in detail, suggested one for my skin and did a fantastic job with facial massage that i slept the entire time . Now thats a great massage if it makes you sleep. I am yet to see the results as it takes 2-3 days post massage. Her hands work like a magic on your face. She doesn’t hurry through the process which is exactly the service clients expect. I am glad i found Sunita’s salon and i know i am going to be a regular client already. If you are looking for a good salon who provide great skin services, do try Sunita’s and you will be more than happy. - pratibha

Smita Shinde Jenny is awesome, polite and warm. She is super talented and does a good job with pedicure massage and to bring back dead feet to life… show her a pic of how you want your nails and she will do it for you!

Pravina Hegde Patil Nikki is the person one must go to for hair. She provides guidance on what is good to do for your hair. Due to severe frizziness, she has been doing keratin treatment for my hair. She is so detailed and precise that it gives me comfort knowing that I am going to leave with amazingly beautiful and healthy hair. Washing of one’s hair is like a ritual. It’s something to look forward to. In fact, it’s something to live for. I think people must hear my snoring while Nikki massages my scalp while shampooing and conditioning my hair. Don’t think twice. I give Nikki two thumbs up. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hair.

Maira Martinez Jenny is an excellent nail Tech. She provides high quality service starting from making appointments to making sure you feel like royalty before and after seeing her. I moved from socal and was a bit nervous to find a nail tech in my new area. Jenny noticed how nervous I was and she was patient on making sure I was comfortable the whole time. some people are scared of going to the dentist while I have the same fear of going to get my nails done. I am super happy I found her and you will too!

Mittal Joshi Tracey did a fantastic job with my hair for highlights touch up and haircut. She is very confident of her work and manages to finish sooner than expected. She patiently saw all my references and gave me the look as discussed .

Neha Khisty Tracy is the best hair stylist I have met across in Bay Area. I recently got my hair highlights done from her and she did amazing job. My husband loves his haircuts by tracy too. Its just you always have to take appointment to visit the salon, they don’t take same day walk ins.

Isha Worst experience. Never recommend. Tracy did my haircut. She didnt listen to the customer and didnt give me a proper hair wash. She took only 30 seconds for hair wash, which was surprisingly very quick. She didn’t apply conditioner, which made my hair frizzy later. The haircut took 10 minutes, and based on the way it was done, it seemed like she wasnt paying attention to precision in cuts. Overall, I dont like my haircut at all and never go back there.

Isela Hamill-Macalolooy This will be my 3rd time going in to get pampered. Every single time I go there is exception service. You may have to wait a bit to get your needs met if you dont book an appointment but its worth the wait. If you do book an appointment they will always be ready for you. If you want to achieve a very voluminous blow out, ask for Gheeta!!! She is the sweetest and will have you looking beautiful for your occasion.

Sumeet D Lady who cut my hair was in a hurry to take on more customers. She cut my ear and trimmed one side of the face way more than the other side, I asked medium hair, and she cut it extremely small. She did not even apologize for cutting my ear.

Joseph Lawrence Orlandi I love the coming to New Cuts for so many reasons. I started coming here after my hair had been burnt during 3 different visits to the salon. I finally had enough and sought out a new place to get my haircuts, and I am so happy I did. Ive been coming to New Cuts, seeing the amazing Kim, since before the covid-19 pandemic (worth the wait for them to re-open). Every single haircut is done with precision and care. Some places will rush through mens haircuts, but thats not the case here. They take the time to make sure your haircut is perfect and complete, without missed spots. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a quality haircut.

Also, I live nearby, which makes it convenient for me to come here.

Kimberly Martin Ive been coming here for a few years now. Its very affordable and the lady that used to cut my hair did it exactly the way I requested. Well now that lady is gone and the lady that cut my hair did a horrible job. Looked like she put a bowl on my head and cut around it. I actually had to stop her from continuing to cut more and more! All the stylists were speaking to just each other in Vietnamese and did not speak English. I was very uncomfortable and not happy.

Layla Liu I have to admit that mens haircuts are very cheap, only 17$, but womens haircuts cost 30$, which is still a bit more expensive, and they didnt cut the bangs and tails. I cut a little of the tails after my reminder. I actually took off the scarf by them, which caused hair all over my neck and hair all over my clothes and coat. I had to go home and take a shower. This was the most embarrassing thing.

I was not able to get the name of the girl who gave me my haircut & eyebrow thread. My eyebrow thread is uneven & too thin. Note that I’ve been getting for years from other places this is the worst. Just wanted to try this place out bec we just moved & it was near to our place. She was even rude & blamed it on my “naturally thin eyebrows”.m Haircut she also did not follow instructions I said I just wanted a trim. My hair was longer than my shoulders & after she cut it, it was close to the bottom of my ear. How is that even a trim??! I am really unhappy & regret going to this place.

Ferrari One Made up stars by her friends only. She’s ruined my hair. I when to highlight my hair. All the time she’s talking and doesn’t pay attention to the hair. Zero (0) knowledge, from the beginning she’s like oh yes I can. Once you start with her she doesn’t care about the hair. And will wash your hair with cold water dry with stained dirty towel. No idea how this store exist. I asked her at-least partial refund since she ruined my hair. She didn’t at all. Please be careful !!

For the past year since I moved to fremont I have been trying to find someone to thread my eyebrows, but hadnt found anyone I thought did a good job until I came here! I wish I had found her sooner! And her prices are some of the lowest I have seen in the bay as an added bonus. Excellent customer service and excellent job! Ill be coming here from now on!

Sarah L Salalila Bought a Groupon here to see Styled by Carmen to get a hair cut. Seems like a scam to me. Shes had over 100 reviews over the past couple of years and sounds like she advertised in Groupon and Living Social. Anyways, she tries to play the sympathy card when she expresses that she pays so much for renting her spot ( $400/week) and then tells you that there are extra fees she has to charge me bc my hair is thick and long. ( My hair is not thick, but long.) She charged me double my Groupon which didnt make sense bc it comes out to be "regular" price. On top of that, she charged me an additional amount for using my credit card. And while shes cutting my hair, she is criticizing how uneven my hair is. ( Everyones hair grows unevenly and thats why they need to get it cut which is why Im there so... ?) And when she cuts the ends of my hair, she cut it straight, without "texturing" the ends. To top it all off, when she was done she put oil on her hands and then applied them to my roots which left me a greasy head of hair which made it look like I didnt shower since it was parting on the top. Lesson learned. NEVER. AGAIN.

Brandon Tarter I was lucky enough to have Thi Hoang as my cosmetologist. I had asked that she dye my hair silver, this was a challenge as I have dark brown hair. After bleaching it four times, I had expected my hair to be dead and textured like straw. Thi was already thinking 3 steps ahead, and when we were finished, my hair was still soft and as healthy as it could be (considering it was bleached four times). The color came out amazing! I would definitely recommend going to see her if you are looking to get your hair dyed!

Cindy Yorza I have been very happy with their work from the first time I move to Fremont. I even recommended this place to my employees! I tried some other salon and always came back here for the price and the customer service until recently. I did Keratin straightening. I have done this many times before in other countries, and the straightening always stays until my next hair grows (without changing my shampoo, extra treatment or extra work). But this salon told me, it would only last 5 months, and I had to do blablabla to keep it. I didnt mind that much. Its been 1.5 weeks and the bottom of my hair already starts to wave (my natural hair). TOBEHONEST, I love how it looks. It frames my face, it gives volumes, its so soft and smooth. However, I am not happy with the price I have paid. Its not cheap and for my hair to curl so quickly, I would like some compensation. I dont have time to sit another 4-5 hours for treatment and completely re-do my hair, so I asked for a half refund instead, and I said I would do the Keratin again in a few months after it completely goes back to normal. The attitude they give me after is.. disappointing, to say the least. They said, it was because I touched my hair that it went back to normal and accused me of not using Keratin shampoo. I couldnt even book my next appointment because they just flat out said "we are busy" Mind you, I dont do anything to my hair ever on a regular basis. I dont own any curler, any straightener. I dont even have a blow dryer. I only comb them after I wash my hair. I do the bare minimum for my hair. I even bought whole new shampoo for this. I am very disappointed for them to accuse me bunch of things at the end. I felt so bad and guilty at first too. I guess I am not coming back here again. Time to find a new place to go....

Alex My mom brought me to Donna 18years ago when she’d botched a haircut at home and brought me to Donna to fix the disaster. This lady never laughed at me or had her coworkers come check it out. Instead she gave me a phenomenal taper and charged us less than $10. 18 years later I am happy to say neither her service or prices have changed

Jordan Cheapest haircut around. But you get what you pay for. First they asked me how I wanted my cut, before I could finish she got a phone call, picked it up, starting cutting my hair while on the phone for 5+ minutes. Then proceeded to take 4 more phone calls throughout the process, barely meeting the style I asked for. She spent more time on the phone then not, and clearly didnt care about the style my hair came out to. I should clarify, they werent just picking up the phone to schedule appointments with clients--that is totally understandable - - they were having 5-10 minute conversations paying 80% attention to the phone call and 20% attention to the person in the chair. She knicked her fingers from the scissors as she wasnt paying attention to the haircut.

Robert Garvin Theresa was absolutely amazing. She worked both my husband and I into an incredibly busy schedule and ended up staying open late (until 10:45) to make sure she got my color correct... I have hair that is difficult to color. Throughout my time there, I could tell how well educated Theresa is in her profession. Everyone in the salon was extremely friendly and focused on making a great experience for their clients.

Vik V The best: Teresa is a master Aveda Stylist. There isnt anyone on the planet that does a better job at color and cutting than Teresa . I love an Aveda salon and their color products. She did my hair today and transformed the color back to the right beautiful blonde color.. I had a lot of grey, she handled all that and now it blends beautifully. She cut my long hair the way it should be cut especially the front, now it looks way fuller. I have been going to Teresa for 30 years and there isnt anyone better than Teresa, she is super trusted and my hair looks sooo awesome thank you !!!!!

Laura Rappa Theresa is incredible. I have a very sophisticated taste in hairstylists, and usually go to the most high end salons that are on the cutting edge. My assumption was that a great salon could only be found in San Francisco; I was wrong - Theresa at Artistry Salon in Fremont compares to - and exceeds any - high end salon in San Francisco. She is extremely knowledgeable about hair care and takes her time to get the most luxurious results. My hair looks beautiful now, thanks to her effort. She is the best. If you want to have healthy, stylish hair - the Artistry Salon in Fremont should be the place to go. This salon uses Aveda products. Please don’t waste your money on other choices. Your hair will look amazing.

I have been visiting this place for the last 6 years and Teresa had been working on me for the last 3 years and she is exceptional. My hairstylist,Teresa, is a wizard. She is so experienced and knowledgeable. She always gives you the best advice and will honestly tell you what works best on you. She has never compromised with the condition and health of my hair. Her goal is always ensure is in top notch condition . She colors, styles, cuts my hair and keeps my hair beautiful, shiny and healthy. Her creativity is intuitive and out of the box and always comes out positively beautiful. I just go in and tell Teresa to do her magic and viola the results are astounding. Kim Knuth I’ve been so pleased to have found Theresa at Artistry Salon! She is a master of both hair color and hair cutting. For the past 2.5 years she’s been creating some of the best and most fun hair color I’ve ever had. I brought my inspiration photo and we discussed how the colors would look and she suggested flattering colors. She explained how the look was constructed and worked out how to best adapt both the cut and color to fit the shape of my face and skin tone. She really understands how to blend colors and to get just the right placement and density of color—sometimes finely blended highlights and other times pops of color. The hair cut matched my personality, styling preferences, and how much time I wanted to spend each day on my hair. I have thick hair transitioning to grey that is hard for many stylists to cut/color and Theresa took the time to cut/color it beautifully. The products she uses keep my hair healthy and she is very knowledgeable about how they work.

Isabel Valencia I was in a pinch because my stylist went out of town last minute and I had an event that night...and grey roots wait for no one. I looked around for other salons and was in shock at prices and they did NOT include the blow out. The prices for a base color alone no toner averaged $300!! I thought of Madison Reed I have used them on other occasions. The MD salons are all beautiful and spacious. MR offered base roots color, gloss and blowout all for $189. They also have a membership of $90month for as many times for roots color which I think I might concider. My stylist Brea was thorough and great to work with...she did and amazing job.

C Cabuloy First visit at Madison Reed Fremont. Walked in for my scheduled appointment and was greeted with the most positive reception. I loved how Breia listened to my request. They charge extra to blow dry your hair so I chose the option to dry my own hair. They do provide clean sanitized brushes and hair products for free. Overall experience was great!

Luciana Ng The service was non-responsive when I tried to reschedule the appointment to a later time. Since no one did, I showed up anyways. The store in Fremont has 2 entrances, but supposedly only one of them is the main entrance, and the other one is locked. The lady opened for me and told me about the other entrance is the main one, so why no put a sign to let customers know instead of making them look dumb? My colorist seemed nice and greeted me, but looked very inexperienced when I ask a simple question about the color covering my whites. I asked to make sure the color I chose would cover my whites, but let my highlights still seen. After the color was done, the colorist washed away, but it did not property remove the coloring left on my forehead and skin. I spent a long time removing it myself with their cotton pads and cleaning solution. Something that it would never happen in a regular salon! And I paid $120 for this! The most disappointing part is that the color completely cover my existing highlights, which I paid a lot of money for. This is why I asked before the color treatment was done. If they knew the color was too dark and it would end up covering all my highlights, I’d appreciated another color suggestion. After this experience, I’ll decided to never go to the Madison Reed salons anymore. This is my second time and it really annoys me that they don’t even bother drying your hair or give you a decent space to do it yourself. For the amount I pay, I’d get a much better service from an actual hair salon. The icing on the cake is going home to find out there was a hair color stain on my leather purse, which I had no idea how it got there!

The first time I visited was in February for a haircut and I loved it so much I decided to come back and get my hair cut and dyed. I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer and she did an amazing job! She really listened to what I wanted and even took the extra time to make further adjustments to the color. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the extra time and effort she put. Everyone was really friendly and Ill definitely be coming back.

Ankita Patil Ivy and Jennifer are both very hard working and very sweet and caring. They did a great job with highlighting, deep conditioning and my haircut. It turned out exactly the way I wanted. They took their time and also did a short consultation. It did take a long time, but I also received some snacks because of whole process took quite some time. Be ready to spend 4+ hours if you want to do highlights+deep condition+haircut+blow dry for medium to long hair. Would suggest calling beforehand to get quote on what you would like to do so you are not surprised with the cost.

Sabrina Fatima I went there for a Japanese facial, and it was amazing! The staff was very professional and conducted a detailed analysis of our skin before the facial. They also discussed our skincare routines, including the dos and don’ts. The facial itself was incredible, leaving us feeling truly relaxed. Definitely coming back!

I remember I used to go to this place before the pandemic and the lady that used to cut my hair was pretty good with bobs. I called in to set an appointment, they were not busy at the time so I rushed in. The lady that used to cut my hair has retired :( . This other lady that attended to me.. oh my God..she is good!!! I showed pictures and Ly (pronounced Lee) breezes through it. I came in there with no style (in between grow out stage) to a cute neat bob cut style. I highly recommend Ly. Comparing the prices in the area, this place is on the more affordable side so thats an extra plus! I highly recommend this place!

Rajharvinder kaur Minhas As a professional i’m not satisfied with their hair highlights service, at first it looks good in salon but when I checked properly at home it wasn’t really nice highlighting because it shows one side color of highlight on my head but on other side it not shows at all..According their price,265$ work is not even worth it. People who are seeing me they are saying me work is not done properly..

su-ting tan tldr: good price point but bad attitude i usually don’t post on reviews but this was such a frustrating experience for me. i showed the hairdresser a photo of how i cut my hair about a year ago, and i thought he was able to get it. first cut - and the length wasn’t what i wanted so i asked to cut it a bit shorter. second cut - still wasn’t the length i was looking for so i asked for it to be slightly shorter and he got upset. to preface yes i was late to my appointment, but if that’s the case i would much rather you tell me to reschedule?? with his grumpy attitude he cut off way too much and mind you this is before a trip as well. i’ve NEVER had a hairdresser get mad bc their client asked for a shorter cut - if this was going to happen id much prefer you to check with me the length i wanted BEFORE you cut it. leaving one star because the price wasn’t bad - but keep in mind that you might get a cut that’s shorter than what’s expected.

Bill Fong They do a good job of styling hair for my spouse! The stylist she utilized has great customer service skills. Prices are reasonable for the service performed. The shop is located next to the 99 Market, which makes it convenient to get to for appointments and shopping at the same time.
