Bobbie Bomber I absolutely love the den salon they are always super friendly and super talented. Ive been here a few times and Ive never left disappointed the environment is very relaxed and professional as well as welcoming and all of the stylist really know what theyre doing. Ive gone to Dennis three times now and I couldnt be happier every time also my mom had her hair cut by Christopher and she absolutely loved it as well as appreciated all the advice to keep her hair healthier.

ryan hoo This is one hell of a great place. We’ll maintained, clean large, great talent and outcome of a hairstylist I’ve seen in awhile. Wonderful color, well trained, I cannot say more about this place. The owner is incredibly friendly and down to earth. The stylist/artist we always had was Moni… she is without a question amazing!! Brenna Wahl I had been looking for a new hairdresser after moving to Long Beach a few months ago, and after doing some research I made an appointment with Danielle for a cut and balayage! Not only is she a freakin pleasure to talk to, she knows what shes doing! Im so happy I found her! Plus, the salon itself is so cute, and have they have coffee/beer/other drinks which is fun.

Nicole Stevenson I made a 5:30 pm appointment with Ross for 12/24. I confirmed by clicking the link I received by text the day before. Ross then texted me at 4:35 pm the day of my appointment, asking if I was coming in, and I received a cancellation text at 4:42 pm. Thats 7 minutes. I was driving to the salon! He was clearly looking for an excuse to cancel with the unnecessary last minute text. It was an unprofessional mess.

Tess Alexander Brenda is the best in the business! She is a blonde colorist specialist who I am so grateful to have to do my hair! Ive been coming to her since summer of this year and gradually she has given me the hair color of my dreams each time it’s that beach bunny blonde ashy icy blonde I’ve always dream of of but couldn’t find anyone to do it! Brenda is amazing because she wants the best for your hair and the overall integrity of it while getting to you the color/level you wish to obtain! She is fast, quick, and uses her time quickly! She works very fast and has wonderful communication and puts any person at ease entering her chair. I absolutely had adored coming to this salon and can’t wait to re- book again! If you are a blonde and need someone to go to Brenda is your girl!! 10/10

Christine Favata Alondra cut and colored by hair, which we anticipated would be a big job. It took nearly 7 hours because we ended up doing a full head balayage blonde and shaping of my bangs. A cut, color, and blowout/styling set me around $700-ish but I will tell you she KNOCKED it out of the park. Seriously, a job well done. It was like she hand-painted every strand of my hair to match the exact color and placement I wanted. She worked her magic and ended up undoing a lot of damage that I brought in with me previously. She is a wizard in what she does. It did take all day, because I have long thick hair, but it was worth the wait. Thank you Alondra! You are a pro.

Martin Buerkle Came to a class. Never have I seen a salon that is not new and cleaner than I have ever seen in my 35+ years. Amazing location for that alone.

Patricia Amezcua Went to get my highlights and Jessie immediately tried to get her way around to do the things her way. I told her that I wanted to have heavy highlights and finally she agreed to do it. Well, unfortunately it seems that she just didn’t care what the customer wanted, because she did few highlights, starting like one inch away from my face hairline and half an inch away from the scalp, very dark. When she finished, she was so lazy to clean the color left over my hair line, so I had to do that at home. She fixed my hair and wanted me to get off the chair without showing me the back. So expensive, such a bad attitude and unprofessional, mediocre service. Don’t have her to do your hair. Go to Ulta salon, better cosmetologist and stylist there at better prices. Shame on you Jessie, and still asked for tip.

Super Heroes February 5th 2022 I had my first perm with one of George Oliver’s wonderful staff, Debbie. At first I thought the waves in my hair would go away permanently since I noticed a duller look in my hair after putting on my Five Guy’s hat on for 8 hours but it turns out they don’t call it a perm for nothing! I’m very satisfied with how well their staff, more specifically Debbie, took care of my abundance of questions and concerns. 10/10 would go again :)

Aleksey Volchek I was on my way to a tinder date when I realized that the wind was blowing my hair every where - I looked like a hobo! Lauren at Envy save they day - and the date! With a few Bobby pins she tamed my hair and was a great help! Little things like this make this place a sure thing!!!

Katharina H Lauryn does a phenomenal job with my hair. She cuts it just right and always uses the best treatments for my hair. Their products are also really nice. Everyone there is knowledgeable and you always get excellent advice on hair care and styling. My go-to place! I love their deals on Thursdays - $35 for an expert hair-cut and blow-dry?! Yes, please!

Emily Del Toro Stefani at the front desk is very sweet and informational. It was my first time in this salon toda. I did get a last minute haircut with Donn. He rocks! He’s knows what he’s doing! Safe to say I trust him with my hair from here on out! My hair is wavy and thick and he gave me a beautiful haircut. They have also just changed ownership and the new owner opened a head spa upstairs. Stefani was kind enough to give me a walk through and WOW… you feel as if you’re going into a new state of relaxation. I’m going to go back myself to try it out. I did grab a flyer and she said 20 % off first time visit. Info is on their IG. This is actually the only head spa in LB ladies… I highly recommend checking it out for the ultimate we very much need to pamper ourselves sometimes. I’ll let all my family and friends know too!

C Rutherford I didnt go to the salon because 1) It took 3 days to receive a return phone call and 2) Price quoted for finger waves was $85 which was out of my budget! I cant soeak for the in shop service because it took 72 hrs to get a return call which wasnt good customer service!!!

Brenda Hatcher Ive been having Priscilla cut my curly hair and I recently brought my mom in for cut. She had been cutting her own hair for years and was nervous about having someone else cut it. Priscilla not only did a great job cutting my moms hair, but handled all the emotional aspects like a pro, putting my mom at ease and mom is overjoyed with the results. Sara Vazquez First time going & it was a last minute decision. The ease of their online appt reservation was a godsend. The salon was spacious, clean and inviting. The staff were so friendly, great ambiance. I was nervous because I have very tight curls and haven’t always had the best experience. Tiffany was very attentive and cautious. She wanted to be sure i was getting the cut that I wanted and made me feel comfortable. It was a great experience overall, very happy with the results!

Victoria Sanchez Priscilla is absolutely amazing, been coming here for almost a year after searching for someone who could cut my hair the way I wanted. She’s so patient and will sit there and listen to what you like and don’t like about certain styles. She absolutely does it perfectly every single time. I always feel so happy everytime I leave the salon!! If I could leave more than 5 stars I would.

DIANA CABRERA This was my first time at this salon. I made an appointment with Priscilla, and although she was booked, she worked me into her appointment book. I was so grateful since I have a cruise in two days and would have had to push out my cut for another two weeks! Well, I was a little worried about going too short but went for it. Priscilla was a total professional, a true expert, and completely satisfied my request. My curls were rejuvenated. The salon is clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend her if you need a curl expert.

Kristina Vaughn I moved to Long Beach when I got married in August and was in need of both a wedding hair stylist/salon and a salon I could call "home". When I called about getting my hair done (mind you, about a month before the wedding), Priscilla was eager to do my hair and definitely put me at ease! She had me come in for a trial (I was on a super tight budget, so she suggested I get the hair trial and skip the makeup trial-- Im happy I trusted her!). She is so sweet and made me feel so comfortable! I was so happy with the trial, so I chose her to do my hair for the big day! She did the makeup for all of my bridesmaids and some of the hair (with help from her sister-- their mom owns the salon as well.) It was all so wonderful! Fast forward 3 months and I needed a hair cut! Priscilla was happy to give me a short cut and made it look great! I get my eyebrows/lip waxed here (they use the sugaring style wax). I got my nails done for the wedding here. Im excited to use their facial services-- this place is awesome! The atmosphere is incredible! Theres always tasty fruit/spa waters, coffee, tea and sometimes some tasty treats! I would recommend anyone go to Surrender Salon!!!

Hala Labib I made an appointment to go in on Thursday pete called and changed it to Friday at 1230 and then he text that he wasnt able to make it till 230pm. I waited at the salon and still he did not get there until 300pm. After telling Pete I wanted a blunt cut, he just started cutting my hair and texturized and layered it and everytime I told him to stop and thats not what I wanted he would say I know what Im doing. It was a horrible experience and he charged me 80dollars no shampoo or conditioner. I called and talked to the manager and she said they were independent contractors and would not refund my money! The worst experience I ever had at a salon!!!

Reaching out to them on socials to make an appointment as a new client (yes, I realize it is the "holidays"), they have stylists text you stating they can take you as a new client, even asking for detailed information from you in terms of your needs -- only to IGNORE you completely after sending very detailed information regarding an upcoming appointment. Sadly, another local DUMP in Long Beach glorified by likely fake reviews & an owner who simply excuses away their absurd wasting of clients time during an already busy season ! FAR better options in the area for your hair needs ! Explore them all before you consider this place !

Evelyn Arreaga Really cute modern place. Everyone is super welcoming. I was recommended a specific hairstylist Mia. I have been going to her for over a year now. Mia is a phenomenal brunette hair specialist, she does color correction, balayage, one hair color / grey roots and so much more. Mia is super down to earth and def loves what she does. You can tell and feel it as she’s taking care of you. Definitely recommend her. There is plenty of street parking. They take card and cash. From my understanding bookings are by appointment only.

Brianna Tarkington Glass House Hair Studio is not only beautiful, but it is very welcoming! Everyone is kind and courteous. I highly recommend Alicia as well. She did such an amazing job on my hair and listened to my wants, but also had such an eye for what she recommended as well for my face shape and style. I highly recommend this hair salon!

Desiree Brickerson I went to Eric because he was highly recommended. I like my hair short where as it can still be curled and therefore went in for a cut only. I walked out of Salon Shampu thinking okay I maybe able to work with this cut. When I arrived home and really got in front of the mirror I became very dissatisfied and disappointed. MY HAIR CUT HAD ABSOLUTELY NO STYLE TO IT. Especially for the amount I paid ($55.00). I text Eric to let him know it was a cut with no style. His response was "that happens when you get a cut only". Sorry after a "true hair stylist" cuts your hair you can automatically see the style. I ended up going somewhere else to cut a style in my hair. Now Im happy

T C There aren’t enough words for how great my first visit turned out. Appointment made a couple days ago and honestly I was surprised I was able to get an appt so fast. All the ladies were extremely pleasant and overall it was truly a treat! Autumn did my two strand twists on natural hair, AMAZING job! Linda did a Great job on my brow tint, which I need to mention she squeezed me in, so accommodating! Last, but not least Ms. Sky (owner) was a gem from the very first contact and our laughs shared from our first texts continued during my first appointment. As Autumn twisted my natural hair, I watched Ms. Sky work so fast and efficiently on her locs clients. I’m so grateful and feel blessed to have found this gem. She made room for me in her schedule and was prepared a head of time when I arrived. She restored my curls back and I will go to her going forward if I ever need to get my hair cut, fixed or styled. Emma Ries I have never been to this salon, but I am writing a review for stylist Laura Fogwell. I saw Laura for 10 years in Cincinnati, OH up until her move to Long Beach. Over the years, she has worked with me to find hair styles and colors that I love. On top of being a talented stylist, she is personable and truly cares about her clients. She is already greatly missed in Cincinnati!

Kat C Big shoutout to @hairbyflower for working her magic on my hair! Spent a solid 8 hours with her, and let me tell you, it was worth every minute. Went from long and black to (check out pic). Flowers not just insanely talented, shes also the sweetest soul youll ever meet. She listened, she cared, and she made sure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. Perfection achieved! So, if youre on the hunt for a hair guru wholl give you the royal treatment, look no further than Flower. Trust me, you wont be disappointed!

Anh Le I haven’t been to Sage Salon and Spa yet, but I’ve been going to Seth Sockwell for almost 20 years, and he’s consistently done an amazing job with my hair up in Northern California. He’s always spot-on with both cutting and dyeing, giving me exactly what I want every time. Plus, he’s easy to talk to, making the whole experience really enjoyable. I highly recommend Seth for anyone looking for a talented and reliable stylist!

Daisy Cabus Jade Rang is my all time favorite hairstylist to see when I need a cut and color! Her knowledge around hair and how to best bring out the most out of my hair is incredibly amazing! The color is so close to my own color as I just needed to cover some greys and add mote shine. Also the way she layers my hair makes me love her more as she is so detailed when working with my long layers. She’s honestly so talented.

Veronica Martinez I wanted to make people aware of the bad experience and lack of service that I received at the La De Da salon in Long Beach, CA last week on 11-11-2022. I was seen by Hairdresser Penny for a root touch that only last 3 days. The color came off and exposed my grays after my first hair wash (3 days after the root touch up). I called the salon and spoke to Natasha Jackson (owner) who offered me to fix it, however she had no appointment available. Then she suggested that I see the hairdresser, Jessica who I normal see, but Natasha was not aware of her schedule. I asked her to refund me for the lack of service. I expressed to her that I paid a lot of money for the root touch up that was not done correctly. She declined & made excuses for the hairdresser. Furthermore, she said that I should have expressed my concerns that day the “touch up” took place. I told Natasha that how would I know that they color would wash off? She said that Penny must have not added the correct amount to the mix. I am not a new customer and have had services in the past with Jessica and never had a problem. I was charged $69.00 for the root touch up, and I gave a 20% tip on top of that. I told Natasha that I would write a complaint, and this made her mad. She said that my complaint would affect her salon. She obviously did not demonstrate that she cares about her clients and the quality of the service they provide. Perhaps she only cares about money!! I am tired of businesses like this that take advantage of people and get away with it. As an owner she should have offer a refund seeing that the service that I paid for was not provided to me. To avoid any hair damage, I must now wait a few weeks and pay again to get this done at a new salon. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with service I received and with Natasha’s response to my complaint. I will also post my complaint on Facebook, instagram and Nextdoor app.

Robert Stutson I went to this place twice. First time I went there the lady was doing someone hair, however she never once asked me if I needed service or she was booked today. Second, it took her 4 minutes to say anything to me. And when she finally did she said, she was closed while doing a customer hair. I truly felt like this business doesnt like African American people. The only reason I went there its close to my new apartment. Every hair salon and barber have went to will all greet you with a hello and ask what service youre looking for Immediately. And if you dont speak English every place I been has at least one person that does speak English. If you have a Establishment/Business in you dont have one person that speaks English, youve already showed that youre a racist. At the end of the day this is America-USA.

ML Aguilar Micaela is the owner and she is such a wonderful person to talk to. I came in for a quick cut and she was super accommodating and she left my hair soft, shiny and bouncy.

Andrés A Good service and great haircuts. And reasonable prices! Ive come here twice and always leave happy. Some comments mention the language. This place is hispanic and Spanish is dominant. You can probably be understood in English, but remember that the U.S. does not have an official language. If theres any problem with that, how about learning the 2nd most spoken language in your country?

yin yang Walk-ins welcome, about 6 people working at this busy shop. There was lots of sports related conversations. If you like that kind of atmosphere, its good for you. I just wanted my hair cut well, and I think it was too much talking for my taste. The guys would interrupt their work to talk with each other and that doesnt translate to a good cut or service, especially when they charge the same price as everybody else, and nothing differentiates them.

Lawrence Carter Clean cut! Good lineup. I wanted the taper a little lower, and the barber was cool about it, didnt take offense, and lowered it. I will definitely be returning. Prices are the going rate in LB. I saw alot of kids, so i assume it is good for kids. Not every barber can handle kids, but this shop had a few in there. The television programming was on sports which was good because i do have kids, and i dont want them watching inappropriate tv.

Michelle Newton I only went once, but this is my new salon! Joanna is the best. My hair press lasted the longest it ever had from other salons. Even after washes I could still feel the difference. You can tell that Joanna really cares for your hairs health. The place is not huge, but not small either. It felt like home. Everyone is so down to earth and nice. Cant wait for my next appointment!
