Phillip Galindo I would not recommend this place as they are extremely inconsistent. On 7 occasions I came at opening time and every time they were 30+ minutes late. On several occasions during the day the whole staff is in the back room for 30+ minutes while there were customers waiting.

Sanae Taib They over charged me for a haircut. I was told women haircuts are $20 and up, I was thinking my hair would be $25 the most because I have a thin and soft hair and all I needed is some layers and trimming. Ana was the hair stylist she charged me $35. I won’t be back there.

F L Excellent! I shared a picture of a hair style that I wanted with Ana and she cut my hair exactly the way that I wanted it!!! Thumbs up :-) I will be visiting again!

Alondra Cuadra I didn’t get my hair done at the salon but when I first walked in there asking for their price ranges, the lady was really rude and the price was absolutely ridiculous. I didn’t even tell her what I wanted for my hair and she immediately told me that just by looking at my hair, she would charge $25 or more for the basic haircut! I have never been to a non-professional, family-owned hair salon that charges that much here in Ventura County.

Maria Arreola They dont do hair lightening. My daughter wanted to go blonde and that couldnt provide that service. They do highlights tho.

Jessica Canedo I came on Wednesday to trim my hair am inch, I ended up losing 4 inches!! My hair was all the way to my past my waist and now it’s gone. On top of that the hair caught is uneven, I do not recommend the young lady working there. The owner is great but I wouldn’t trust no one else :(

Leticia Quintero It is the first time that I see that they first straighten half of the hair to cut it, I do not know if it is due to laziness or because it is better but" Maria Fabiola Lopez" use this technique and leave my daughters hair crooked when I tell her that it was badly cut, she gets upset and rectifies it in a bad way if they dont want to work and do things right, go home. I dont recommend this place at all.

Eva Ibarra I just had my hair done at rocios and over the phone she told me she would charge me 70- $75 to touch up my highlights and my hair color. When she was done my hair, it was bright blonde which was not silver like I requested, she stared me in the face and said look at it its silver and I told her how can you say this is silver when its bright blonde, this is what I told you I did not want. She said, my work is good and I told her this has nothing to do with your work its just not the right color that I asked you for. We argued back and forth, I hardly have any hair and her having to re tint it was going to damage my hair even further, once she put the toner on my hair to make it silver as I requested from the beginning, she told me sorry for the bad experience. My hair finally came out a bluish Gray. When I went to pay her she wanted to charge me $95 why would I have to pay $95 because she screwed up!! she said that she told me it would be more once she started doing it, she told me it would be 75 when she was doing it and all of a sudden because she screwed up she wants me to pay 95!!! She finally said Ill take the 75, she treated me like if I was trying to get out of paying her ..shes the one that quoted me 70-75 and then decided to charge me 95 because she screwed up!!! Never going back again and I will spread the word how bad her service was!!!!

Georgia Marquez Been coming here for a long time . But there’s a problem they should get a reception to answer phone and take messages and relay the hairstyles “AFTER” they are done. A hairstylist are busy with the clients . Second the hairdresser needs to hear the client in how he or she going in for a new look long or short . If the take a picture in or magazine of a hair style listen they shouldn’t glance at it or cut it short. I had that one she didn’t listen or really didn’t look at the picture she cut it really short and I told her to stop she laughed and answered phone calls . Ignore the call customers service is 100% not 25% I hope they approve more I haven’t been in there to get my hair cut since that day happened I cried and not too happy about the results. Customers service 100%

Isa Tina We made an appointment at 2:30 they didn’t sit us down at all even though we arrived on time. It was well passed the needed time and instead off letting us (people with an appointment) sit down, they sat someone else. It was just an upsetting experience.

Emilio Balcazar This was going to be my new favorite barber shop, but my last experience was suspicious. She forced me to bend down my neck as much as I could, my neck hurt for few days and when I was going to pay I noticed the machine she charged $20 to the previous guy but she charged me $24. I got a regular fade cut. My first time at this shop was last year and it was the best because her assistant did my haircut like a pro, I liked it so much that I gave her a tip. I kept coming back in hopes that the assistant was still there but no. The owner seems friendly but dont tell her where you work or how much you earn, I think she takes advantage of some customers. You can find another barber that can cut the same regular fade for $15 or a pro licensed for $30

And she was the absolute sweetest. I’ve been looking for a good hair salon in Ventura County and I think I found it! Not to mention their prices are reasonable. I’ve been to high end hair salons that charge $80 for a haircut and they don’t do as good of a job as they did here at Passion Hair Designs. 10/10!!

The day of the appointment, I gave her a call to let her know I was running a few minutes late (6 min). She had already replaced me with someone else. Ive had her services many years ago and I was content with the outcome. However, this is not the first time this happens and the reason why I stopped going. This recent situation ruined my day, and she didnt seem to care. Therefore, because of this, I will seek services elsewhere.

DIVERGE Excellent haircut, despite it simply being the sides and back. She used scissors and hand-cut the sides. I cant say enough about this place! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. I was directed in their procedure of signing in and after I sat down the manager or owner (not sure) sat with me and talked to me about anything and everything. These are truly GOOD PEOPLE. God bless that family and the employees of this store. Everyone was kind to me and very professional.

S. Augustine If I could give them 1/2 star I would. Maureen was so sweet. But honestly, Lucia had no idea what she was doin to my hair. So my story..... Yesterday I needed my hair done last minute. I havent done anything to my hair in almost 2 years tryin to make it come back after my daughter. I took a picture which I had to show her like 6 times and she still got the color wrong for my hair! She kept askin Silvia to check everything because she couldnt seem to figure it out herself. I shouldve known then to get out. She didnt blend in my highlights very well there are large sections in the top of my hair. At least the layering was done well. Dont go here for your color!!!! - If you do, Sylvia only!

Violet Pantoja I asked for my hair cut 1/2inch below the shoulder and she cut my hair only half way and refused to cut the rest of my hair to my request. I got home showered and brushed my hair and then noticed it was uneven and paid $26. So sadly I will not be returning.

Lefki Xique came here with my 13yr old sister and had one of the older ladies cut her hair. we had asked for a hairstyle that is a bit shorter than what my sisters hair was, just a bit shorter than her shoulders. what she got was DEFINITELY not that. they messed up her hair really bad and by that i mean that they cut her hair until it was an inch long. DO NOT COME HERE, unless you want to have your hair messed up.

Kyle Henig I came here recently asking for a specific haircut and they basically gave me something way shorter than what I wanted. I don’t even look like myself anymore and I don’t mean that in a good way. at the end the lady just told me to “imagine that my hair was long”. I lost my identity in less than half an hour and they want me to put a band aid over their mistake. Other than that, they were really nice people. I’ve always hated haircuts, and this last time reminded me why I should always go to my usual guy. Screw Covid

Arturo Ventura I dont recommend coming here. They cut bad. The old lady doesnt take what u ask . She just cuts the whole top. I asked for a short fade n half inch ontop. She just cut off 1 or 2 inches. I dont recommend here. Please just go sumwhere else. Seems like nobody really wants to work with someone so stupid.

Giselle Perez I went their to get my hair done for my 15 and they didn’t even know how to do my hair. And they left pieces hanging and all they did was tell me to be careful with this piece. I don’t recommend this place to anyone because this also isn’t the first time they’ve messed up my hair. I went I go get my bangs cut and they didn’t cut my bangs straight they did it crook it.

Daisy Vasquez This place is so bad. I’m pretty sure it was the owner that cut my hair and it’s all uneven. It is cut into layers but there was no blending and each individual layer is uneven. One side of my hair is longer that the other. She was rushing when we first showed up but she said that she could still do it. She rushed the haircut so badly. At the end she didn’t even bring the hair to the back to check if it looked good. When I said something she just blamed it on my hair being straight. It is so bad that tomorrow I’m not going to go to school.

James Carling UPDATE 2024 - I came in for a haircut from one of the best barbers in town expecting stellar service. Instead the business owner came into the room to disrupt my service and cause him to take longer than I had scheduled. It’s one thing to just have a barber taking his time it’s another to have the so called owner of the place interfering with business and clients. And it was for no good reason either. The barber informed me he was just offering coffee and chatting, but at my expense. When I confronted Gene, the owner, about it and asked him to not interrupt my service again he got in my face and threatened me with profanity and attempted to flaunt how he is the owner and can do whatever he wants. Pathetic. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN….

Her cost per service are not very reasonable and will not help fix your nails and ignore your texts. Additionally, she tends to be dismissive of your concerns, making you feel unheard and unvalued as a customer. The lack of communication and unresponsiveness is unacceptable, especially when youre trying to schedule an appointment or request a specific design. Its clear that shes more interested in making a quick buck than in providing quality service or building a loyal client base. I would not recommend this nail technician to anyone and would advise others to look elsewhere for a more satisfactory experience.

Jay Carr There’s a lot of good salon owners there running honest hardworking business here. This review is not about them. This review is instead directed at the management of this place. The owner likes to think he owns the people who rent from him and he likes to make their customers feel as uncomfortable as humanly possible. Terrible location. If you want to rent a salon suite go look elsewhere, you’d be doing yourself the biggest favor.
