Cool Mercury Chane was my stylist in JUNE. he’s super cool. I appreciated the banter and his choice of live music. His work was superb, as I didn’t need too much done from a basic barber. I’m going for an old fashioned, longer hair style; so, I’m going for lengthy hair after years with skin fades. Chane was able to set my hair to grow cleanly. I’m going back for touch ups. And he’s my choice now. (End of my 5 star review) (Update) And I should have waited until I could visit for a stylist who I was sure who listened. I grew out my hair another 3 months. Then, I set an appointment this last week. But I accepted a new stylist available on a Friday. I showed a variety of pictures of Alex Costa and Bradley Cooper with medium hair lengths with long bangs. Instead, my bangs were cut to half my forehead. It’s upsetting.

Stephanie Pettee Mickey cut my hair. Nice lady, but I asked for ONE inch at most cut off because I’m keeping it long. She cut off FOUR inches Which is a drastic change. Took me 8 months to grow that out. I also booked through the website which stated $60 but was charged $75. It’s Really upsetting and confusing that it’s incredibly difficult to find a solid cut of exactly what length I ask for from people who charge this amount. Losing faith in hair stylist …

David Edwards I received a fantastic cut from Bryan Martin. He really listens to what you want; I gave him a general description of what I had in mind, then let him have creative control to do what he thought best and he ran with it. I could not have been happier with the results! Not only is he a great stylist, but hes fun to talk to as well. Since he had a little extra time when he was finished he also gave me a nice head, neck, and shoulder massage. I was so pleased with my haircut that I recommended Bryan to my partner who ended up going the very next day. He, too, LOVED his haircut. We will definitely both be back!

Tyler Thomas I recently moved to the area to be closer to my father who is getting on in age, so Ive had to start from scratch with everything. I got a new doctor, a dentist, and a place to buy gas and groceries. Now I have my new barber, so my new start is coming together rather nicely as Im slowly checking off the necessities of life. Everybodys checklist has an order of priorities and for me, a good barber is right up there at the top. So I got really lucky finding James because his shop was the first place I tried. An hour of pleasant, private conversation in a cool, clean atmosphere was all I had hoped it would be and more. Nobody waiting for their turn behind me, no babies crying or kids running around asking for lollipops and my hair never looked better. James has a way of making you feel like youve known each other for years and he knows what hes doing when it comes to cutting hair. So my new life in a new town is coming together rather nicely. Oh, I might decide to get gas at a different station or buy groceries at a different store. I think Ill probably even check around for a different primary physician. But I dont have any reservations about knowing that I found my barber.

I am visiting Palm Springs for a month and had to get my hair done from James. The space is perfectly set up for one on one spa like treatment and James magic hair touch. I absolutely love my color and am looking forward to the next time I get to be in James chair. His scalp massages are deluxe and you will feel like a new person when you leave. I highly recommend you book your appointment with James ASAP.

Paula Pohan Davies I found Alex at Agape Salon when I was looking for someone to fix the mess my hair was in after a disastrous experience in my hometown up in the SF Bay Area. Believe me, I scoured the Internet looking for the very BEST Salon in the entire Coachella Valley, and I came up with Agape. Next I needed to single out the Hair Professional who could rectify, improve and rescue my poor hair and my confidence. Alex was and is the answer to my prayers!! She spent a full hour with me discussing what I wanted and how to achieve it, as well as shampooing, deep conditioning and massaging my head and even my hands! Talk about a stress buster. With Aromatherapy, no less! Next was thee cut. She went ever so carefully getting to the chiseled look I wanted. No rash moves or surprises! Then on to the final styling. Jacquelyn Rivera I had trust & confidence in the stylist prior to taking a seat, but I shouldve realized sooner— that was not the case. I recommend some CEUs on hair textures. Prior to my appointment, I was asked about my hair texture (wavy/curly) and how I would like it styled (diffused). The haircut I asked for was essentially a short shag/mullet. When I took a seat, Sara (Master Stylist) sounded confident she understood what I wanted. She immediately talked about smoothing/straightening my hair because it was frizzy. I told her I dont really use products, but I try to find things for my curls. I also requested a razor cut— Sara said she would use one to finish the cut. Im not the professional, so I rested on the trust of her word. Once we went into the cut, I told myself to trust the process, but that was starting to dwindle when Sara outright asked my political views, which I tried not to engage because I dont believe it to be an appropriate topic for acquaintances. When Sara went in with the razor, it felt like she was sawing my hair— not achieving the feathered texture I was expecting— but forcing graduated, even layers. I was fine with the length of my hair, but the dimension I wanted wasnt there. I wasnt sure how to let Sara know what else she could fix, considering my hair couldnt be glued back on my head. I just asked for more of the bulk to be taken out since I didnt like that I looked like Coconut Head from "Neds Declassified School Survival Guide." As shes cutting out the bulk, she tells me that the haircut actually ages me... why would someone think thats okay to say to a client? At this point, I reluctantly accepted what my hair looked like... I paid for the service, but part of me wishes I hadnt. I will be letting my hair grow out before I decide to let someone else chop it up. If I choose to go back to this salon, I will not be choosing the same stylist. I also got my brows waxed. They came pretty well.

Rick Masters Tina is great. This will become our go to place when we need a haircut in Palm Springs. Convenient downtown location and reasonable prices.

Phillip Murillo Best prices in town. Friendliest people youve ever met. Quick walk to every food/shopping/bar location that you could need. I am in town with a patient for a couple days and they saw me right away. All the other salons charge $40+ for a simple fade. $20 for a quality haircut with friendly people who know exactly what theyre doing is a better deal.

Victor Rubin Tina gives me a super great haircut. Ive gone there since JJ left. The place never lost a beat. If you havent tried it you are really missing a fabulous cut. Im a recent transplant from NYC and Tina matches NY Citys best.

Tanya Maarsman Fred was great! I explained to him that I always have hairdressers take off way more hair than I want and Im always worried to get my hair cut. Fred listened to what I wanted and did a perfect trim and left my hair looking beautiful and even kept my length! He did a nice blowout at the end and I was very happy with the results!

S L AVOID FOR EVENTS/MAKEUP I booked makeup for 4 and 3 for hair (simple blowouts) for my micro wedding. The 1st makeup appt was for 8am, confirmed multiple times. The MUA, Salma, slept in & arrived late, so my bridesmaid had to be completely cancelled. Not only did that throw off my entire schedule, but the MUA (who was also doing my hair) was literally stopping during my blowdry to text people on her Apple Watch and even place a food order. I was already running way behind so this was so unprofessional. The makeup was not great - I had to ask her to colour correct after making my fair skin look very orange, and my mom really didn’t like hers either (was applied way too heavy and matte for her aging skin). After all of this she still charged me full price. The receptionist Lori was very lovely to book with, & the other 2 blowouts by Fred were great, so I’m giving them the star. But because of the MUA this was overall a bad experience, very stressful, and I don’t recommend for any sort of special occasion.

Marilyn Brady My friend and I were visiting from out of town and got the best blowout from Salma! We walked in and she was able to accommodate us. Highly recommend her blowout!

Hannah Palasinski I got a massage with Simon and he is the best! I’ve had many massages over the years and Simon is a master! He stretches and massages you. I feel 5 years younger every time I leave. Anytime I’m in the area I go see Simon!

Update: Demi recently did "peekaboo" colour and cut. Even people I have never met before are stopping me to say they LOVE the cut AND colour (even in the ladies room, a woman said she would give Demi an A+ for my "fresh, fabulous and fierce hair." In short people say Im lucky and spoiled having Demi doing my hair. Original post my friends say they have "hair envy" because Demi knows how to cut and style my hair so that my hair always looks good - even as my hair starts to grow out. Nivea Ahumada First time working with the company. Went in for a consultation. Stylist seem to know what he was talking about & his work ethic. Made an appointment same day came in very next day. I asked for a balayage with highlights . Stylist only worked on my hair for two hours. I had patches through my hair. The color he used to match my roots was very dark almost as black. As you can see very different from what I asked for from the images below. I went back to the salon in regards to my issue had a different stylist do my hair as you can see hair is completely uneven to tones. As I was there for 5 hours. Half brown with highlights along with red under my top layer as, she did not want to do the lower half of my hair. This is currently my hair at the moment very uneven as a better hairstylist with good work ethic & patience can do better. Very unhappy with both stylist work. Aside from their work ethic great customer service. However, company need to invest in some classes to help improve their skills. As this is unacceptable & horrible work that is representing your company.

Deirdre Very happy with my stylist Jamie. He did an excellent job highlighting and cutting my hair. He is very intuitive and takes time to understand the look you’d like to go for, and takes the time to understand and explain what will work with your hair. I ended up with exactly the color I wanted and he came up with a very cute cut.

Jeffrey Grohs I have been frequenting Raphaels for years. If you want to look like a film star...he is your man! Not to mention he really cares about his clients. He actually saved my life...he found a spot on my scalp that turned out to be stage 2 melanoma cancer. After surgery the docs told me I was a very lucky guy that Raphael found it when he did or I may have died. There are just some things you cannot see yourself, let your stylist help!

Bryan Rasmus Was told that either my hair cut could be cut down more on top but the neck would not be cleaned up or the neck can be cleaned up but the top cant be cut down. Why? Because they are timed. This was explain by the hairstylist. I didnt know we were on a time crunch. Such bull.

Myranda Arias I’m never one to give a rate but I went in yesterday with really long hair and came out with it being way too short for my liking, I told the stylist I wanted layers but please keep my length. My hair means everything to me…My hair was down to my hips and now is to my mid back, I know some of my hair needed a trim but definitely not that much to end up on my mid back I went home to my family for all of them to be completely shocked because my hair is now really short. The layers are nice but the length is definitely not what I wanted!

Tim Mathias John is a great Barber. Very talented and very reasonably priced. I can text him and schedule an appointment. The shop is clean, quiet and conveniently located. Easy parking. I can get a haircut and then stop in to Stater Bros or dollar tree in the same location.

Priscilla Arballo Best short hair cut ever! I was so scared to have to lose so much length but the pro’s at Perfect Hair knew exactly how to make the most of my super damaged tresses. I walked away feeling like a new woman! The short hair cut was cute and feminine, thanks Perfect Hair!
