Amala Anand This hair salon is fantastic! They were able to fit me in last minute and the results were amazing. I am very satisfied with the work did on my hair. They were able to create the exact look I was going for. The stylist who did my hair was very polite and respectful, and she did an excellent job creating the look I wanted.

Samantha Chan Male hairstylist doesn’t know how to work with Asian hair. I went to someone else who knows what she’s doing and she said he really damaged my hair. He also was terrible at first impressions. Wasted so much money, I would never come back or recommend Sassi salon to poc.

Margosha R This review is long overdue. Somehow we tend to complain more than praise others. I hope for that to change this year. My hairdresser is Royce and I have followed him when he had to switch salons simply because he knows what I want the best. I have given other hairstylists a chance and have tried to color my own hair only to return to Royce eventually. I like that I do not have to explain a lot to him what I want, and in almost twenty years he recommends variations to my style or color and I listen. The bond that we have I have learned to appreciate with years and I hope I dont loose it. Thank you Royce!!

Trish P Forgot to post a review. Nice place. Asked for a balayage and showed the second pic of what I was thinking (a cut and dye from her IG that she did.) The first pic is me with what looks like highlights. I believe I was there for about 4-5 hours - one reason it took forever; never a good thing when your stylist says “uh oh” yeah, she made the color a little too bright and had to redo. Razor cut took a century long and Looks the same as what scissors would do. On top of the toner mess-up, let got with some pretty wet hair because there was another client waiting. I knew the price was going to be pretty steep but she could have at least gave a discount for the mess up. Will not be back. Price tag 200+ and tip. I took this photo of my hair when I got home and after I dried it. Realized I didn’t care for it. I asked a few people if they thought my hair was balayage or highlights and every person said highlights. The color was supposed to be subtle light brown not copper.

Lourdes Bernal Brianna Baer has been cutting/styling my hair for the last four years (THANK YOU!) and I swear, I fall in love with myself a little more after each cut! Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with them NOW. I simply cannot recommend Brianna enough.

Ava I just had my bangs trimmed by Nichole and she really respected the old cut that I had. She did an excellent job, and I love the clips she gave because they’re actually exactly what I need. I haven’t gone to the salon itself, but, I feel like I could trust Nichole with my hair any day. I love my current stylist and like to be loyal, but oh my goshhhh I know where I’d be going next if I ever had to. Thank you so much for the bangs cut. You’ve saved me!

Melissa Chelius I have been seeing Briana at Details Salon for over 5 years. I live in Monterey and make the trip every 6 weeks to see her. She is worth the trip every time! I get my hair cut and colored by Bri and the product she uses is very gentle, so I don’t end up with damaged hair. She always takes the time to make sure she understands exactly what I want and she hasn’t missed yet! Even with her recent temporary change in location to Downtown Sacramento due to an unfortunate accident at her original location , she has managed to keep her high standards in both her space, her haircare and professionalism. Anthony Griego I got a curly haircut from Yolanda at wild ones and I am very pleased with the results. Yolanda truly captured my essence and gave me reference photo results that I was extremely happy with. Yolanda is very detail oriented and took her time to work with me step by step to ensure I left happy and her efforts werent unnoticed. Ermalyn Dinkel I’ve been seeing Delaney exclusively for any hair treatments for three years now. She constantly brings an elevated experience to my bleaching and haircut services and I’m truly able to live the “lived in blonde” experience every day because of her. She’s always been the sweetest to me even at my first appointment when I didn’t absolutely love the end result (and helped to adjust the end tone to my satisfaction), and works to get to know me and exactly what I’m looking for when I look in the mirror. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for blonding services and bouncy curtain bangs! I’ll be her client as long as I live in Sacramento. Sarah Blackmon I followed my stylist, Lai, here from Colour Bar. The location is cute and friendly and they still have the same products I like before. Erica, the owner, was nice to me and everyone Ive talked to on the phone with there was super friendly, even when I was a little stressed :) I have a pretty hard to work with schedule since Im only off work Sundays and Mondays, the two days most all salons are closed, including this one. They still found a way to get me in with my specific stylist pretty quickly considering I was coming in to have a LOT done. This is why I trust Lai. She will not book your appointment too short. She always sets really expectations about how long things will take and what the results might be. She will never ever promise you anything that she cant do and she will not process your hair to the point of frying it for a desired result. In under 6 hours she was able to cut, bleach, tone, style, and olaplex my hair. I have long, extremely fine hair but I have a TONS of it. I actually shave part of it and then part my hair in the opposite direction to covered the saved part because there is so much hair and it is so hard to manage and maintain, but Im growing that part out for my wedding and its about 4 inches long, so she also had to get all of that fine hair. Someone less skilled would literally need all day to do my hair. That brings me to another point. I just like talking to Lai. There is no way I could sit around for 6 hours with someone I was not comfortable with. It would just make me anxious. She is easy to talk to and also kept checking to make sure I was okay, asking if I needed more water, et cetera. She recommends products based on what you need, versus a lot of salons that will just try to upsell you. If she recommends a product or a treatment, get it. My hair was dyed red for all but the first 4 inches. She somehow managed to lift it to a very light blonde and then tone it to a mix of of super light platinum and grey blonde, which is what I wanted. We didnt know if we could get it that light because of the red but it lifted really well. My scalp is a little sensitive so we did the roots in two short sessions to make sure they were light enough and she recd a shampoo that will keep it toned for me. She styled it super cute and really fast as well and the cut is perfect. We did not have to sacrifice much length at all to get the look. I have long hair and Im not a fan of "scissor happy" stylists that cut lots off. She cut off what was dry and needed to be cut, but honestly all that hair needed to be cut before I even bleached it. The atmosphere here vs her old salon is more relaxed, which works for me. I saw a lot of people come in and out and get their hair done in the 5 1/2 hours I was there and everyone looked great. A lot of bleaching was done that day by chance and I think I saw three different stylists bleach people and everyones hair looked great. I never saw anyone waiting longer than a minute or two but there is a lot of comfortable seating just in case. It also wasnt freezing in there despite it being super cold in there and the store front being made out of panes of glass. Oh and then my bank declined my card for fraud protection since I hadnt been to the salon before or usually come to that part of town and Lai and the woman who I believe owns the salon apologized to ME about it. Im sure in another salon that would have been super embarrassing, having to call the bank and all that to get it cleared up so I could pay, but they were nothing but sweet and apologetic and then just took care of rescheduling me while I waited on hold with the bank. Im going to include some pictures from my current style/color as well as some work that she did at the colour bar because Im noticing that photo is still getting likes and saves on yelp but she no longer works there :)

Hiromy Pfosi We came here to see if we could schedule an appointment for our mom to get a haircut and color during the next couple days as we were in town visiting through the weekend. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, gave us water, showed us where the bathroom was and then was able to squeeze her in within the next hour and work between appointments to get her hair colored and done. Vinny was her stylist and he was amazing with her, making her feel comfortable and chatting with her while he got her hair done. The color and cut was absolutely beautiful and our mom looks great! She also had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back to get her hair done again when we are on town and will probably get mine done as well! Bright clean salon and within walking distance so bonus!

Pamela Caldwell I absolutely love my hair stylist Evy! The salon is cute. Not too big or noisy. Just a relaxed atmosphere. Clean. Not in the best part of town but you kind of forget about it once you get inside.

Linda Boisa I started seeing Kim many years ago, on the recommendation of a friend. I will say I had a full panic attack when she started doing my color as a lot of other hairdressers have messed it up and I was afraid I was going to have orange hair. But she did a professional, superb job! I love my hair and wouldn’t go anywhere else! She understands base color and texture and how to not to damage your hair. She is always on time and very clean. I swear she has a photographic memory about remembering the details of my hair! She is a super nice person that I appreciate.

Tifahn Rodriguez How does this place have five stars?? The experience starts with service. I called the salon, and asked for a new client appointment the following day if possible. The person who answered the phone said that there were no appointments for the following day because several stylists had called in and started to hang up. I asked for her to wait a moment and suggested another day. She said well I dont work on that day, let me ask if anyone else does. After awhile she came back and said maybe this other person can help you, but he isnt here to ask. Then she told me to hang up with her and call this other person, as she gave me the number, she told me how difficult it was for her to make out the information. Was the number written on a napkin? Why doesnt a supposedly high-caliber salon have a receptionist, a central appointment book, at least a legible list of contact information?? Next....

I never quite know what I want to get done with my hair and Ana let me look through inspiration photos while at the salon and she was helpful in figuring out what style would look best. It is clear that Ana is passionate about her work and even talked me out of getting color, so she definitely takes into account customer lifestyle over her pocketbook when advising clients. Ana is very knowledgeable about hair and has flexible scheduling.

daniela cabrera I am from out of town and I was looking for the best rated hair salon in Sacramento and found this place ! Ana did not disappoint, she delivered exactly what I wanted and more ! She explained to me everything she was doing and why based on the pics I showed her I wanted and my hair type. Super sweet and knowledgeable!! Heather LaVergne I had the pleasure of having my hair done by Ana. She started our appointment by sitting down with me and discussing what my goals are for my hair. We looked over pictures I brought in and talked about what my options were and what would work best for my hair. Even though we decided to go with a process involving bleach, I felt completely at ease because of the amount of time Ana took assessing the health of my hair and explaining what the process would be. Personally, anytime I get my hair done, I get antsy after a couple hours, but Ana was such a delight and the time went by so quick! Not only that, but it was such an enjoyable experience all around. She finished by showing me a couple products that would help keep my hair looking and feeling the way I want; things I can do at home to avoid constant upkeep. I highly suggest you book an appointment today; your hair will thank you!

Andrea Moradian I wish I could give her zero stars. Ana, the owner, was so disrespectful and careless. I made an appt more than a month in advance, got there and she was busy with another client. I sat and waited for almost 30 minutes until she finally came and told me it was going to take her a little longer to see me, so I waited another 30 minutes. I went and asked her if she knew when she was going to be done and she told me she didn’t know, and asked me to go home and that she would text me when she was done. Very unprofessional, didn’t apologize or show any sympathy. she texted me the next day, she said her schedule was busy and that she was going to let me know when she could see me. Never contacted me again. Definitely a person that doesn’t care for new customers, most likely already has a lot of clients, but still, you can’t just treat people like that and you can’t waste someone else’s time like that! Egocentric and rude.

Madison Morton Ana is so caring, helpful and knowledgable! I’ve never had someone be so on top of a hair problem I had, then go out of her way to personally call me, talk me through how she would fix it, what I need to look out for next time, etc. She’s the kind of stylist and owner you want to do business with. 15/10 would come back to her!!

Southgate Dental I am a very honest person, if you look at my reviews you will see that I post mostly positive reviews, I feel like this is a very fair review .I am giving one star for personality of technician, very sweet girl, she is very hospitable, the second star is for timliness, she was very punctual. The 3rd star was kept because the price that I thought I was paying and what I paid was not correct. (Make sure you go over money in detail and have your client sign something) I wanted a full extension experience done impeccably, not half of a job, I would have paid way more for it to be done right, which now I am. (-$760 in the whole) The 4th star was kept because she did not cut my hair or blend it well or blow it fully out nicely, this is what a real professional technician let me know, there was so much information that I, a new person to extensions should have been told, The 5th star was for the charge to my credit card that I did not authorize. I was exhausted that day, I forgot about the appointment but I usually get at least one chance, that grace should have been given to me. It honestly hurt my feelings and that is the other reason why I decided not to come back. I was very nice, Life happens, extend some curtesy. At the prices that are charged you would have been fine not charging me. The honest thing here would be to give me at least 50% of my money back. It would say alot about your integrity as a person. We are all working hard out here and its expensive for everyone, regardless, there are lots of lessons to be learned here for everyone. Please stay blessed and remember that the good you do comes back to you, it really does...

Im 60 years old and have been trying to grow out my hair for 4 years from a very short cut. My hair is blonde, straight, and fine. Unfortunately, my hair had become very unhealthy from color and over processing at another salon. Monica suggested cutting to give a fuller healthier look even though it will be shorter. Jes Lendi Dickson I started frequenting Willow around April 2024, loved the staff and services, esp cause I could book appointments past 5pm as a young professional getting off work. I went every 6 weeks for a botanical scalp treatment, curly hair trim and blowout. All these experiences were great. Unfortunately Ill be taking my business elsewhere due to the unprofessional desk service staff. When a young lady called the day prior to confirm a 4pm appt, I asked to move it to 5pm and she confirmed my new time for the same services. The next day I got a call from (another?) young lady around 4:15pm asking where I was. When I told her my appt time was updated and confirmed the day prior, she said it couldnt be done because they were closing at 5. When I asked why they updated and confirmed my 5pm time if it was going to be closed, esp since I know the hours are past 5pm (one of the main reasons I frequented here), she said that no stylist was available and asked to reschedule. When I told her I felt frustrated about their inability to keep the appointment i confirmed the day prior, she asked if another day would be better. I told her I would take my business elsewhere since I cannot rely on the front desk staffs ability to correctly schedule and keep appointments. I went to Drybar instead (since theyre open until 7) and got a fantastic scalp treatment and blowout. Again, Great services and hair treatment up to this point, but as someone with a regimented work schedule I cant recommend this salon due to the unprofessional and unreliable front desk staff.

Jessica Leahy I have been going to Sarah Tate for face chemical peels and waxing services for a few years now. She truly is the best around. I recently had to reschedule due to a personal emergency and she was incredibly empathetic and communicative with offering a reschedule for same week. She is an absolute joy of a human and I could not recommend her services more!

Nini Andrews Ive been a customer here for at least 2 years and I have to say that Bila is an excellent stylist. Today was my first visit since the hair salons reopened (COVID-19) and first time trying a different stylist for my son. He loved his haircut. The quality is always great but the wait time was very unsatisfactory for this visit. We had an appointment for 10:30am but the stylist said she was still working on her 10am appointment so we were willing to wait a few minutes since we arrived at 10:25 am... We ended up waiting until 10:51 am because she was the only stylist at the salon at the time and Bila was not aware she had a 10am appointment and neither did the stylist seem informed she had a 10:30am appointment. I told Bila we were available all day and with the CDC guidelines they have to follow, I would understand taking an hour to finish a haircut but their miscommunication made us wait for practically 30 minutes when we made an appointment and they could have scheduled another time for us if it would take so long. After this visit, I can acknowledge the skills of the stylists but Im not willing to keep waiting like this so unfortunately, we will be going to our other salon/barber options that follow up with their appointments in a timely manner.

Sarah Bandani I urge you not to go here and am writing this to save anyone else from severe damage to their hair. I waited a year to review to see if my hair would recover. I tried to save money by going here, asked for peekaboo highlights, and was sat under a heater with bleach on my hair way past processing time because Bila overbooked herself. My hair was FRIED. It also looked insane— she put streaks in my hair and only in the front of my head. My hair has never recovered from this. She would not refund me either. I went to a new and very expensive stylist for a color correction and she said it was up there with the top worst mistakes she has ever seen and thought I tried to color it myself.

karmjeet gill Very unprofessional I visit to them for my hair cut and before she start I explain to her how I want my hair and agreed to understood but she cut my hair in wrong way and now they were looking bad and I still try to ask her can you please fix it but she was start screaming on me and she sad go your country barber don’t come here I was still try to say please don’t be mad it just hair they will come back but please don’t disrespect me while m saying I takeout my wallet and about give her fee she said give me my money right now then I decided don’t speak a word I give her $20 and left (that is robbery)

Ama I went here for a pixie cut and was not disappointed! Bila, who specializes in pixies, handled me personally! Bila and the majority of her staff have thick, wavy hair, like mine. They always say to find a hair dresser with your type of hair! Bila is very knowledgeable and experienced. She answered all my strange questions, including whether they have to buy new scissors often. Also, Bila and her staff are Hispanic and speak fluent Spanish. I highly recommend this place for pixie cuts! Its hard to find a good hair dresser for short cuts. Im planning on going back when my hair starts getting too long. Before and after pics below...

Audrey Hansen-Judd I need to give this place zero stars but it is not possible. I literally just received the worst cut of my life from Bila. I was a walk in but she was able to take me. She started cutting my hair without washing it, and I showed her pictures of face shaping front layers and I said I wanted to keep the length. She took an entire chunk out of one side of my bangs. I am not even sure how I could make a cut that bad. I returned home to my roommates and they were horrified so I went to another salon to get it fixed. I cried a little bit even after the fix becuase there is pretty much no going back. It looks like I am in the process of growing out blunt bangs, and to top it all off, I had to cut off ALL of the balayage I had done 2 months ago to fix it. Which broke the bank. So this bad haircut cost me almost $100. I AM FURIOUS. I left wihought acting like I didn’t like it becuase I am a nervous person, but DO NOT GO HERE.

Christina Martinez I have not had my hair cut in a long time for several reasons but mostly because of the amount of hair loss I have had. I don’t have any bald spots but it’s has become so thin that I was holding onto the little bit I have but it looked so stringy I knew I needed a cut so I asked my They both said Paula. I knew they would not go to just anyone and they were correct. I was nervous going there and as soon as I got there I was at ease. Paula is professional for start to finish. I forgot I was getting my hair cut I was so relaxed. I always have loved getting my hair shampooed by someone else and Paula is the best and I am not just saying that. I don’t know what else to say besides it was a fabulous experience and I will be going back. The fact that the hair style was fantastic was just a bonus to the experience. The other staff were so friendly and welcoming as well. I’m so glad I found Paula and The Color Bar.

Lauren Gaffaney I’ve been going to Josie for a year and a half now, and she does such phenomenal work, whether I want highlights and lightening up my hair, or more recently I’ve been going darker. Whatever I ask for, she delivers. The salon itself is clean, comfortable and welcoming. I know my hair is in good hands. It is definitely pricey but worth the money for such fantastic service.

Danielle Lopez I am so excited to write this review because I don’t ever think I have ever received customer service like this at any salon. I literally found this salon on yelp today. I typed in the word Davines in search of some liters of shampoo and conditioner, as that is my favorite brand. This is one of the first salons that came up and I gave them a call. I stopped in on my lunch break to pick up the product and received the best customer service I have ever experienced. But it didn’t stop there. The owner Lorena came and spoke with me herself regarding products and her recommendations. She then asked me if I wanted to try the products and have one of her stylists, Janessa try them on me and do a wash and blowout. I was so impressed by her customer service and generosity. I will definitely be back here! Thank you, Lorena and Janessa for everything! The blowout was perfect and that scalp massage, girllll. I love supporting a Latina owned business. You ladies are gems! I’ll tell everyone about you both!

Leaf Savant Ive been getting my haircuts at The Colour Bar for a while now, and I have to give them a huge shoutout for how they manage my hair. Ive got thick, high-density hair which isnt the easiest to work with, but the team here has mastered the art of cutting it. Not only do they understand the texture and volume, but they also manage to style it in a way that looks great and lasts. The atmosphere is friendly, the service is top-notch, and they always take the time to listen to what you want. If youre a guy with challenging hair like mine, youll definitely appreciate the skill and patience they bring to every appointment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic cut and a salon that knows how to handle all hair types!

Rosemary Kloh Luxe hair salon has a way of making you feel luxurious. Seriously, I feel so good after I get my hair done here. Abigail is my go to, she is super easy to talk to, talented, clear on expectations, she read me well and gave me great suggestions. For example, I got bangs and I couldn’t figure out how to style them and she took the time to show me how I can do it and now I can make my bangs look great any day. My hair journey has been super fun and it’s thanks to her.

Katy Leon This was my first time at Luxe Hair Lounge & Day Spa and it was such a great experience! I requested to see Lotus for my hair appointment and I’m so glad I did. She is incredibly sweet and friendly, making me feel comfortable right from the start. Lotus knew exactly how I wanted my hair styled and executed it perfectly. I’m beyond happy with the results and will definitely be booking my next appointment with her! Highly recommend!

Jeannette Phelan The salon was very clean and nearly empty as I arrived. I was concerned it was upstairs, and grateful that there was an elevator. I was introduced to my hair stylist, who was young, bright, and energetic. As I was describing what I wanted with my hair, it became clear that the salon specializes in long hair and not short. I was referred to another stylist that had more experience with short hair. Im not sure if thats true, but she cut my hair and I was sent back to my original stylist. I had asked that the top be kept a little shorter and I was allowing the back to grow out. The cut was just the opposite. I wanted my hair colored and I really appreciated that when the first color didnt take she put on a second color that did. She was very gracious and kind. I then went in for a facial. This was an absolute delight!!! I definitely will return for facials, but will look for a different hair stylist. .

Serena Gafford This was the first and only time i used this salon. I booked a haircut with Jen(senior stylist) and requested extra time because I have very thick hair and didnt want to be rushed. They called a few days before the appointment and asked if I could come in 30mins earlier to accommodate the extra, of course, that was fine. When I showed up, Lotus was the one ready to do my haircut. I found that odd and should have said something but trusted that she was a good stylist. When she started cutting my hair, she said shes been doing hair less than a year and I panicked a bit. I was confused and also she had already started cutting so I didnt feel like I could stop the process. The front looks ok, but the back is super uneven. She tried to give me layers, but it looks like steps and just uneven in multiple places. Its a bob cut, so if I want to get it fixed somewhere else, I have to go shorter, which I dont want. It was incredibly deceptive for the salon to switch me from the senior stylist, that I booked with to a junior one without telling me. I regret not speaking up sooner during the appointment but Ive never had anything like that happened to me before and I waited over a week for that appointment. Also Lotus has very long nails and was not able to wash my hair properly. She basically got my hair wet and patted shampoo on the top of my head and then rinsed me.

Elizabeth Macias Went in to get my roots touched up with Layla. My natural hair had grown out about 3-4 inches (see first image). The color I wanted to match is blonde highlights with a subtle brown-reddish base (hair dye not color lift) as shown in the first picture attached. By the end of the 5 hr process, my hair roots did not matched the rest of my hair. Instead, the highlights and ends were darkened. There was no base color applied to the roots, my natural hair was used as base - see 3 middle pictures below. I asked if I could get a refund, the salon said they would correct the error before moving to a refund. I went back a week later. The stylist, Layla, along with another stylist, Gina, lifted all of the color from my hair - base and highlight. The outcome was a vertically uniform color across my hair, but it was no longer the hair I started with. Instead, I have a stronger red base giving an overall copper effect (see last 3 images). After finishing, they commented something along the lines of, "see, now the roots match the ends". This might be true, but only a part of the request. Total for hair coloring was around $500.

Karen Sanders I am an older woman and was looking to do something with my long frizzy hair. My hair had not seen a cut since Covid and I was leery of stylists due to unsatisfactory experiences. After doing much research, I decided on Salon Bravissimo. I called them and told them about my hair and what I wanted. They set-up an appointment with Gina Pope. She listened to what I wanted, but what I enjoyed most was she explained the process she was going through as she cut my hair. She did not recommend extra chemical treatments to tame the frizzies. She developed her own technique she calls “dusting.” While my hair was still dry and not yet washed, she twisted sections of my hair and cut off the frizzed hair that poked out. As she did this, I saw my hair smooth out. She took 2.5 hours to bring my hair back to life. She did not try to sell me any product. I asked her and she made recommendations. I woke up this morning and I did not need to brush my hair, it was soft, full and laid beautifully just like yesterday. I definitely trust Gina with my hair and I will be a regular client.

Robin Durkee Joy Ho, owner, has been doing my hair for 11 years. Her knowledge, creativity and passion for her work is evident. I am always pleased with my color and extensions. Blondes can sometimes come out yellow or even purple if a person doesn’t know the skill. Joy is an expert at color and extensions and makes sure all her employees are trained with the latest techniques.

Kate B Im so happy I found Layla at Salon Bravissimo. I came into the salon with hair super damaged from heat and sewn-in extensions done elsewhere. Layla set me up with a hair care product routine, a fresh haircut, and she blended in my new clip-in hair extensions I purchased from neighboring "The Hair Shop" so they matched my real hair perfectly. Layla saved the day and Im super grateful!
