I would give it a zero.but it would not let me.

Ashley Jimenez I was overcharged for 350 dollars and the older lady who has curly platinum blonde did my hair not as i wanted. I asked for FULL PLATINUM SILVER color but she left some parts of my hair brown and she was quite aggressive when doing my hair. I show signs of being uncomfortable however either she doesn’t notice or doesn’t care :/ Sadly my favorite original stylist Lorna was on vacation and she does my hair perfectly and the price isn’t over priced BUT I had to get my hair done before christmas.

mariahpiper The owner Maricela is a great hairstylist in technique but is horribly unprofessional and consistently late. I have gone to her for years and she has been at least 45 minutes late to my appointment (whats the point then?) on multiple occasions. Today she was already 15 minutes late, and her fellow hairdresser reminded her we were waiting (she was still working on 2 previous appointments before mine!!). She hadnt even acknowledged me or apologized for the tardiness when I asked her how much longer shed be. She went on giving excuses on what she needed to do with her other clients (excuses for overbooking and mismanaging her time) without ever making eye contact with me. She asked if I was running late as if that is why she should be punctual in her work. She was so dismissive, I walked out. I will no longer waste my time nor my mothers with her, and I encourage you not to either.

Ashlee Avery Poor service. I went in for hair coloring. I asked for Platinum blonde and she said she could do it. I was there for over 5 hours for her to fry my hair. I have had to go to another place to have them fix my hair. I wish I never went there and they didn’t even have a conversation with me only to ask me questions about my hair and that was it. If you speak Spanish, then you can have a conversation with them but if you don’t speak any, you’re pretty much sitting there, not having a conversation with anybody and at one point it was just me, my son and two of the ladies that work there the one doing my hair and another one. So I just conversation with my three-year-old. So I would not recommend anyone to go here.

Joyce Miguel I go to Marsela. She is excellent with color. She is so sweet and patient. I highly recommend this salon. I’ve seen some very difficult things done while getting my hair done and they turn out perfect. Yes, I will return.

elise This place is affordable. My brother usually goes here for fades. He has curly hair and sometimes the people that work here have trouble doing the style I requested and cut off more curls than I wanted. But the prices are good, there are sales for children and seniors. The workers are friendly and the area is clean.

T.A This place is solid for its fade haircuts highly recommend for yourself or for family and friends. Ask for Martha shes a pro.

Axel Earlier today I went to cut my hair I asked for a fade but they just made me bald from the back the lady not Trini was really mean I wanted them to cut like two fingers long by the way my hair was to my CHIN and I thought it was going to end up by my bottom lip it ended up being almost to my EYES the lady asked me my age when I told her she was finally nice to me and that was at the end of the haircut Trini let two persons go before me I was there before them DONT GO

belen barajas Unprofessional, owner took money and didnt give me change back, left it as tip deciding for me how much she should have gotten. Haircut was poorly made and didnt even clean my son after haircut was done. Will NEVER GO BACK.

John Antonov The owner is a vulgar elderly Asian woman easily irritated with a condescending attitude. I came in for a fade, and from the beginning, she kept shaking her head and talking to herself with an irritated demeanor. At the end of the haircut, she forcibly grabbed my hand and aggressively inserted a mirror when I stated multiple times that I did not want to check the haircut as I was ready to leave and could not get out of that place fast enough. Please do not waste your time and money here as I did mine; there are plenty of other reputable places to go in the area.

Onedrop Riviera Ive been goin here since about 1997 and havent gone anywhere else since. Great haircuts. Now i take my kids here too. I sit in the chair and she asks me if i want the same haircut i say yes. And i have been getting the same quality cut since 97 I read a magazine while she cuts my hair and when shes done i leave with the same quality haircut ive gotten for 20 yrs.. her clippers have a vacuum too..

Michelle Baker This is an update from a previous review from 3 years ago. My second visit was yesterday: Calling for the appointment was for a trim for shaping of my hair later (layer) . The next day I text her how much for the sitting which she replied to 130.00 After sitting in a chair she asked me,"did you wash your hair"? My reply was no and my thoughts were why would I do that at $130. She replied. "Oh I should have told you that to get all that product out." As I walked out the door I thought... Its time to find a new hairdresser for the next time. For every hair appointment with whoever it may be when you call for your appointment, ask how much and also ask whats included so theres no surprises.

Kristy Flynn Kristen is so knowledgeable about the current styles, trends, and most importantly, the health of curly hair. She really listens to what you want but is also honest if she thinks you should consider other colors, cuts etc. In addition she is an energetic, fun, and generally fantastic person-I always look forward to our chats and curly girl talk!

AA I saw Frances Sparks who claimed to be Devacurl certified. She gave me the worst haircut ever!!! The layers are choppy and in the back theres a big bite. She didnt even have the deva products to wash my hair with. I didnt mind that, but the cut is awful. DO NOT GO TO HER! Especially if you have curly hair she doesnt know how to work with it.

Delfina My hair was butchered by one of their hairdressers (pre-COVID). I came in and asked for layers in my long, thick hair. As soon as she was finished, I noticed that she had not added any layers and had just cut straight through. I asked her why she couldnt finish with what Id asked for. Her response was that my hair was too long for her to add the layers and that she couldnt finish the job. If Allure is going to run a business, I hope that they could at least hire competent professionals to actually carry out the services they offer. I ended up going next door to Personal Touch Salon and had them fix my hair that same day.

Krista Cameron Oh my GOSH! This place is the best salon in Salinas! I went in with some gnarly dark roots, platinum ends and a bag of handmande extensions. I hadnt been to a salon since that place behind old town burned my scalp and over shaved the side of my head. FRANCE is AMAZING. She spent hour perfecting my roots, listened like a true friend would, and it was like having a friend do my hair(but one with MAD SKILLS) She even gave me a hard water treatment since I live in the sticks and our hard water brasses up my platinum...she gave me supermodel bangs, a style like 90s Heidi Klum style , EXACTLY like the photo I found. I was beyond impressed. To top it off, they were so awesome, that when my car battery wouldnt start, Frances herself got her own jumper cables, used her car and got me on the road. I could not have asked for better or more. This is the best experience I have EVER had in a salon, hands down. Frances is an angel, and a very skilled one! I will be back!!!!!

Crystal Cray Very nice, patient with me. My nail tech didnt speak English and I cant speak Spanish, but she and the staff made sure what I wanted was communicated and I that I got what asked for. She didnt rush, even though it was near closing time. Clean shop, friendly staff, nice music. The Laah tech was awesome too and friendly.

Brie T Wouldn’t recommend coming here. I wish I could say good things but I had scheduled an appointment a week in advance. Showed up and the closed signs were up. Checked to make sure I had my info right. Called 3 different numbers posted on the door… no answer. Got a call back stating “I did not confirm my appointment so they ‘assumed’ I was going to not coming”. I never got a text to confirm or a phone call/message that I missed.She definitely forgot about my appointment and told me to come in 5 hours later. Sorry but no, I’m officially canceling. I’ve never had to “confirm” I was coming in for an appointment with any service. So if you book make sure you call them to “confirm” YOUR going to show up for their services that you already took time to scheduled ahead of time so THEY don’t forget your coming.

Samantha NEVER write reviews but this place should get Negative stars. DO NOT COME HERE "Fina" claimed she can do something similar to my reference photo I provided and I got a BOTCHED job. I told her I would like to come back to get it fixed and she still wanted to charge me after making me pay 300+ for the horrible work. I was embarrassed and still am! I literally cried when I left.
