Melissa Bui Appointments are required these days, no walk ins. I tried calling twice but always got the voicemail - I found it easier in the end to message the owner on Instagram and she responded quickly and got me set up with an appointment with someone the next day. When I got there (weekday afternoon), the salon was empty, so it was like a nice private haircut with my hairdresser - nice for COVID times where you hope theres less people around! The salon is nice and clean, and uses high quality products. Ive been coming several times with different hairdressers and have always had a positive experience! Payment can be done by credit card, and you can tip via Venmo which is convenient given many people dont carry cash anymore.

S A Not what they used to be. The quality of products they use has severely gone down. I got a hair color and within couple of days it’s dull and my hair so dry. Complete waste of money and my hair will take time to recover now. I have gone to them in the past, before COVID and it used to be better. I’m sad and disappointed.

Velma Govea I was given a glass of red wine, relaxed and waited anxiously to see final result on my new hair color. It wasnt what I had asked for, but right away It got corrected. I like the new color now. Everyone seems to like it too, so Im very happy.

Amanda Pate I’ve only been there once because the appointment I scheduled for today wasn’t put in. The one time I went I really like the stylist and the absolute only thing I can complain about with her is I had ONE area that was cut straight across when I wanted it all blended. Otherwise she was great. I booked an appointment for a keratin treatment and cut but I guess the young lady put it on a different date. So I walked all the way up there and sat waiting to find out I didn’t have an appointment. Kinda embarrassing but hey whatever. Just when you make an appointment ensure it is put on the books.

KT Boyle I have been a regular at JW for 27 years. Jennifer and her team are wonderful and so accommodating and sweet…She does a fabulous job on my two-color hair process and always styles it just the way I like it. I have had all of her other services and have enjoyed them all. If you’re looking for a confident colorist, stylist and a good place for mani/pedi’s and facials at reasonable rates, you must try JW Hair and Nails!!

Angela Torres Called ahead to ask if there was any availability for a dip/SNS removal, and she said I could come in right now but she was busy later that day. I went in and was convinced to get a manicure instead of just the removal, which would’ve been $20. The manicure was probably one of the most attentive to detail I’ve ever had. My nails feel clean and healthy, and the owner was very friendly and talkative. She gave me recommendations nearby and was great to talk to. I would recommend coming in on a day where you have time to spare because the attention to detail does not make a rushed service!

Angiee M JW Hair & Nails is an amazing place to go to if you want great customer service, hair care, and a beautiful full nail set by Amy, who I’ve gone to exclusively since finding her. I stumbled upon this place when I needed a quick set of nails and got the best quality nails I’ve ever had. The nail sets I get here have never broken off, they surprisingly don’t get caught in my hair after growing out (which usually is super inconvenient), and for the price it’s a great deal! I’ve received a ton of compliments every time I get my nails here. They accept same day appointments and will even take you earlier if their schedule frees up ahead of time! I’ve gotten a hair trim as well which turned out exactly how I wanted it done. Jenny and all the ladies are always so welcoming & accommodating. I highly recommend this hair & nail salon. I’ll definitely continue coming here! Truly a Santa Clara gem. ❤️✨

Roopa Mishra After our initial call with Dominique who very patiently explained " the millenial me" the "gen alpha" lingo for haircuts namely the butterfly and the wolf cuts, took an appointment and met Christine our stylist. Since my kid was unsure of her preferences, she was simply going with the "trend" she explained them to her and the result was an outstanding haircut . Christine is a true professional and the hairstyling too was impeccable. Happy mom (low maintenance haircut) , happy kid.

Shivali Choudhary Had a terrible experience. The hairdresser chopped off way more hair than I asked for, and the cut looked nothing like the reference images I showed. The place was not clean—hair was all over, and they didn’t sanitize the combs. Only one hairdresser was available, so there was no time for proper styling. Definitely not worth it!

Priya Ahuja Tina is amazing. She gave me a haircut I asked for and explained exactly how it would be done. She has a great style. I received a lot of compliments from my friends and family. I’m very happy with Bishop’s and greatly appreciate all the work of the stylists at Bishop’s.

Sara Osheim The appointment process was easy and all done online the day before. The shop itself was clean and had friendly staff. The music was a little loud at some points, which made it challenging to chat with my stylist. My stylist Kat was so amazing and asked the perfect questions to help me narrow down the style that I wanted. She even created my style based on several examples photos I brought in. She took so much care to communicate throughout the process as I was going from long to short, so this meant checking in before taking off length or shaping and cutting my bangs to ensure it was all perfect. The level of professionalism and care that went into this experience was unlike any other haircuts Ive gotten. This is the second time at this location and I had a great experience each time, and plan to return!

Cherisse Soares Marisa has been my hair stylist for years and she is definitely a master of her craft. I always get compliments on my hair and I have referred plenty of friends and family to her, and they have never been disappointed. Also, love the vibe of the salon! Always such a great experience every time I go. Highly recommend!

Bia I got my hair done by Rudy, and he did an amazing job! He went above and beyond with what I wanted! It had been many years since Ive had someone else do my hair and Im incredibly glad I chose him to do my hair. I definitely will be coming back!

Cassandra Valdez My husband and I have been going to Tangerine Hair Studio since 2019. From purple and pink to neutral browns, I have always received amazing results with hair color and highlights. My husband always gets a perfect cut. Marisa has top notch talent and always executes better than I expect. The space itself is always clean and inviting. They have a comfy couch, sweet receptionists, and music that isn’t obnoxious like other salons I have been to. There’s a coffee shop next door that adds the cherry on the top for a self-care day.

Deborah Breitenbach I have been going there for years. Ive been pleased with the haircuts and service. I ALWAYS leave a $10 tip! Today I was told someone had an appointment...so I couldnt get my hair cut. There were 2 people cutting hair...they both had appointments? I doubt it. I was not told when I would be able to get my hair cut. Not warm at all...Ive been one of their best customers for years! Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Shivani Wategaonkar I recently visited Angel Hair & Beauty Salon for a dandruff treatment, and my experience was a mix of positives and areas that need improvement. The highlight of the service was definitely the head massage. It was relaxing and well-executed. However, I felt that the quantity of serum and hair oil used was quite minimal. Additionally, the treatment did not include scalp exfoliation, scrubbing, which is usually a step in removing dandruff buildup. There was also no scalp analysis done before or after the treatment. Another downside was the lack of dedicated attention. The person performing my treatment was also attending to other customers, which led to long waiting times between steps, making the entire process much longer than expected. Overall, while the massage was great, the treatment could be more thorough with better product application, proper scalp assessment, and a more focused service to ensure a better customer experience.

Monica Goins This is a wonderful place to shop. Theres a variety of things to shop from with very reasonable prices. Ive been a customer for over a year and have purchased quite a few wigs. The selection for hair and hair care products is amazing! I always receive a warm welcome and never receive anything less then superior service. A must try!

Pearl Saldanha I have been using this place for mine and my child’s haircuts for over a year. Very satisfied with service. Appointments can be taken over phone. They do take walk-ins, although calling first helps them manage their appointments, so customers don’t have to wait. The stylist will listen to your needs, will give suggestions if you ask. Friendly, quick service and no frills.

Rua Never have cried so much after a haircut, the stylist gave me nothing like the pictures or explaining. Also prices were unreasonably expensive. NEVER going back again!! Update: it’s been 6 months and the ends of my hair is so uneven and choppy. And she was so rude too. I wasn’t done explaining what I wanted for my hair and she cut me off and said she knew what to do. Changing this from a 2 star to a 1 star.

Maggie Westgard Jenny was so kind when we went in for a men’s cut and women’s deep conditioning treatment and trim. She did an incredible job on the haircuts and the blending was perfect. After the conditioning, my hair had never felt better! Her prices were very reasonable and affordable. We will definitely be back to see her again.

Suji Jeon I drove one hour to get a magic straight perm here. I am so happy with the outcome. She is very good at analysing my hair and understanding what to do based on my hair condition. She applied multiple keratin creams to protect my fragile hair. It was worth driving for an hour. She will be my only hair dresser while I live in the US.

Claire The stylist is very diligent, kind, and talented. I was looking for an Asian style haircut and she perfectly understood what I wanted from the photo. The price is great for the quality of service, will definitely be back!

Marlene Ramirez Unprofessional the only people left are the salon owner and her friend. I tried bringing up an issue I had with the owner and nothing was done. The only thing said was sorry and that I could get more dye for my hair but who in their right mind would return after a bad experience. On top of what they charge you, you have to pay for metered parking

MoonSun Lee I went to Lucy Korean Hair (#6) for a girls haircut. My daughters hair was damaged with chlorine exposure from swimming. She was able to fix her hair with a great cut. She was great with my daughter, understanding what is fashionable for girls, as well as listening to and respecting her wishes. After the cut, she styled my daughters hair. My daughter was so happy with the styling she refused to wash her hair that night. I strongly recommend Lucy Korean Hair! Thank you, Lucy!:)

Phil M Extremely Unprofessional Behavior from an Employee I am writing this review after witnessing shockingly unprofessional behavior from an employee at Sola Salons. Although we were not customers of the salon, a member of my family was outside the establishment when one of the salon’s workers stepped out and blatantly flipped the middle finger at my family member after a polite discourse between the two. This type of rude and aggressive behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from someone representing a business. Even though we werent patrons, this kind of behavior reflects very poorly on the salon and its staff. Professionalism should be maintained at all times, regardless of whether someone is a customer or not. If this is how they treat people passing by, I can only imagine what kind of environment they create for paying clients. I hope management takes this incident seriously and ensures this kind of disrespectful conduct does not continue.

Stella took the time to understand what I wanted and offered great suggestions tailored to my hair type. Make sure to bring some photos for reference for what you want. Stella is very friendly and gives great tips on how to maintain your hair. Ive seen Stella about 6 times already. She also offers scalp treatments which I really enjoy. Overall, I highly recommend Stella for anyone looking to refresh their look. Ill definitely be returning for my next appointment!

Angela Chen This review is for a womens hair cut ONLY (no wash, no color/perm). I had high hopes for this salon given all the good reviews, but unfortunately my experience was more aligned with the lower ratings. I believe this salon may be better suited for Asian male haircuts. Pros - same-day appointment, Stella is nice and accommodating, free water/tea Cons - For a womens cut ONLY, no wash or blow out, 15 min in/out for $60 (wouldve been more with credit card) - almost exclusive use of thinning scissors after initially cutting ~5inch with 1 cut on each side. I asked for layers - thinning scissors is not the answer. - I have thick hair, and I could see that she was trying to handle sections of hair that were too large - Application of heat (blow dryer and curling iron) with no prior heat protectant. This is a well-known no-no for people who care about their hair. My hair looks like it was cut at home - I can see the initial blunt cut at the end for a lot of my hair. I will admit that I wasnt terribly specific with my request (5 inches shorter, long layers), but I trusted Stella based on all of her positive reviews. I am not Korean and do not speak Korean. I am disappointed in the cut and service, which were neither premium nor worth what I was charged. I wouldve been okay to pay half of what I did, but I still would not return. Overall, I regret coming here for a womens haircut, and I would not recommend this salon to any other women.

brianna young Today was my second time coming to Repit K-Beauty Salon. The last time I came here was 4 months ago, both times for a Digital & Setting Perm. Both times costed $400, including the deposit. I very rarely repeatedly come back to hair salons, mainly because a lot of hairstylists I’ve seen don’t know what does and doesn’t look good on me. However, the owner of this salon, Sue is totally different. Firstly, she has the most warm, bubbly, and friendly energy. Even though there is a slight language barrier, I don’t need to communicate too much with her (besides perhaps a picture or two) for her to give me amazing results. I trust her judgement of what looks good on me even more than my own. She really has an eye for hair and you’ll definitely walk out looking better than when you came in. The first time I came was my first time ever getting a perm— I came in with the worst layers and dry ends. I asked for soft curls that framed my face, and they delivered! I fell in love with the results and hardly had any damage from the perm. The perm lasted longer (4 months) than what I expected (2-3 months), despite the fact that it was a somewhat subtle perm. The second time I came was for a digital perm as well, except much more curly. The employees here are very sweet and wholesome people, and their perms/haircuts are totally worth the money. Sue always gifts me really helpful styling products before I leave. Although you may want to cut out a big chunk of time if you’re getting a perm (2-4 hours), the service and hospitality here is amazing. PLUS they made my bangs look nice (very difficult task) THANK YOU

Noah Chang I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I went in for a simple mens haircut, but the stylist insisted that I needed a volume perm, which was completely out of my budget. I tried to politely decline, but as soon as they sensed I wouldn’t agree, they cut me off and impatiently told me to "decide quickly." Despite making an appointment in advance, I was made to feel unwelcome because, according to the stylist, taking a low-cost mens haircut on a weekend wasn’t worth their time compared to expensive womens hair treatments. I arrived five minutes early for my scheduled appointment, and another customer entered the salon at the same time as I did. Even though there were only five minutes left until my appointment, they took the other customer first (who was also getting a mens haircut), and I had to sit there doing nothing for 30 minutes. The stylist made an obvious mistake by cutting the side of my hair unevenly. When I returned an hour later and asked for a minor fix, they insisted my head was naturally asymmetrical and that they had "corrected" it. I’ve never heard this in my life. In fact, my friends noticed the uneven cut before I did and encouraged me to go back. I would not recommend this place. The lack of professionalism, customer service, and basic respect was shocking.

Justin Castaneda I’ve been going to this Hair Salon for almost 3 years and I love this place! I’ve gotten short and long haircuts with Iron Perms, Normal Perms, and even a Digital Perm here. Sue always gets me looking fresh. Atmosphere 10/10! They always ask me if I want drinks or food since I’m usually in here for about 2 hours. I come from Hayward and am always willing to drive up to here to get my haircut. I basically only trust Sue with my hair now!

jackeline yepez Maxine was my hairstylist! I have long curly hair. I asked to keep the length but have a trim and to add layers. She really listened to how and where I wanted my layers. She really took great care of my hair. Not everyone can do curly hair and she can. She also has great customer service. Thank you!

Niti Punjabi My stylist Alondra did a good job at giving me a layered haircut, just the way I wanted. Would have given her full 5 stars if the hair wash would have been done a little more meticulously. It was over before I even realized. The conditioner was left only a few seconds, not even a minute. My usual stylist leaves it on and gives a scalp massage while that marinates. But overall good experience for the price.

Pallavi A Yoselin is the worst hair stylist i have ever met. She did not wash my hair or wet it before cutting it even when I asked her about it. She left my hair uneven and did a very flat blowdry where my hair looks like it has no volume at all. She spent most of her time talking to another stylist and the actual "cut" took only 4 minutes and the rest of the time she was washing and styling my hair. Dollhouse just lost me as a customer because of yoselin

She was nice and easy to chat with throughout the process, which was quite long thanks to my thick hair. Isis was detailed and worked hard to create the look I wanted. Really enjoyed coming here and working with her!

Trinity Chung My mom got her hair done here, and she absolutely loved it! The salon ladies that work here are so attentive but work super efficiently. My mom had her hair pampered with luxurious masks and serums after her treatment and during her styling. She got the “setting perm”.

Kajal Doshi I had gone for a haircut for my 3 year old daughter. I asked them to give her haircut that suits her face and her hair texture and they ended up just cutting her little tail hair, providing no change in looks and appearance. There no styling done at all. They charged 25$ for hardly 2 to 3 mins of haircut.
