xllm3llx I have never heard of a Japanese "ghetto" hair stylist... but this is pretty close. now look here people ; She overcharges, by doing work you dont want done even if you ask. Then fakes a stronger accent as if she cant speak English. You go in expecting to pay no more than $100 and walk out paying over $200. To me, she does not seem honest and she seems know it. her work suffers for it as well. She looks well aware she is ripping you off. Its all an act!

Akansha Bansal Service is good but they take way too long and service multiple customers in parallel. Love the hair cut and hair colour here. Chanel is amazing

Lina Kwon Chanel was very sweet & friendly and I love how my hair turned out! I showed her a photo of the haircut and color I wanted and she did an amazing job with both haircut and coloring. The price was very reasonable and relatively cheap compared to other Korean salons in Sunnyvale. 10/10 would recommend and will visit again!

parya khoshroo This is the worst salon I’ve ever been to! Quyen, the lady who works there, is absolutely horrible. I told her over and over that I have sensitive skin around my eyebrows and did NOT want them thin. I specifically said multiple times to keep my feathered brow line intact, but she didn’t listen at all. She waxed everything off and made my eyebrows as thin as possible. She completely ruined my eyebrows! She left scars under my eyes. The whole area is swollen, painful, and looks terrible. I felt like crying when I saw what she had done. The nails were just as bad. She did such a sloppy job that it looked like I did it myself at home with a UV lamp. This place is a complete disaster. They don’t listen, they don’t care, and they do a horrible job. Avoid this place at all costs! I have updated the pictures even after two days the scars are getting worse and worse….

Avisek Naug LoAn is an excellent hair stylist. I have been getting my hair done at this place for the last 3 years, and she does her job so well. I only told her once about my preferred hair cut, and she remembers and styles neatly. Also, the prices are very affordable compared to similar places around the Bay Area.

Linh Ly LoAns is a hidden gem of a stylist. I admit, that I put off writing this review because I have gatekeeping. But this week has been over 2 years that Ive gone to Loan for my pixie cut. Anyone can do hair coloring and long hairstyles, but not everyone can do a great looking short haircut. During Covid, I grew out my hair and had it cut to donate it. I tried several stylists to get the right look for my facial features. Then I found LoAns because Its close to home. The first time, I explained to Loan my style and how I want something thats easy to take care of and professional looking. She listened to me and also offered some suggestions. I have a flat back of my head, but she cuts it in a way that gives me extra body. Loan does her magic! Now I am committed to Loan because she does such a great job! I always get compliments on my cut and how it fits me. And she is flexible and accommodating when I call day of, willing to fit me in whenever possible. I see her male clients and they look great as well. Hope she gets her calendar filled and more people hear about her.

Tanya Pekker Loan has been my hairdresser for years. I have curly hair and not everyone can handle it right. Loan is the best!! I would strongly recommend her.

Ian Kim Linda has NO BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF NAILS. This cost me 45 dollars!!!! I got there by 3:30, and it took her over an hour just to finish removing the stones. Of course, I didn’t have much time for color, so I just asked her to apply a clear polish, which only took 5 minutes. She kept insisting it didn’t take that long for the removal, but seriously, I came with my friend, and the lady just finished the removal at almost the same time my friend finished with her color and design. Then she charged me 45 dollars for this! This place was terrible. Normally, for stone removal, you should use a drill to shave off the edges, not forcing them off with tweezers and the fake nail. I’ve been to a lot of nail salons, but this lady was the worst. She doesn’t even know the basics. A total WASTE of my money, time, and energy.

shreya gundu This place is horrible. I went here for my acrylic nails which costed me $55 but didn’t even last 3 days. They didn’t even cut my cuticles and didn’t buff the nail bed and straight up went to putting the extensions. The nail polish application was very sloppy. It was very uneven with bumps. After 2-3 days the extension started chipping off. I know how hard it is take off your extensions by yourself. But trust me when I say I could easy pop them off.

Jenny Fantastic customer service, friendly and accommodating. Bella is wonderful, my hair looks amazing, she gave expert advice. Price is reasonable. Easy to find location, clean and neat. I got offered coffee or tea, with nice music to set the mood. I suggest call for appointment. Only down side, hair color does not stay long, does not cut curly hair. I have yet to try nail services. Highly recommended.

HO HOANG SON I like the way this salon did for my mom. They made my mom hair fancy than ever and relaxing pedicure service. I tried to get my haircut too and it looks great. Strongly recommend to everyone who wants a beautiful hair and nails here

Daryl C Had my long, layered hair trimmed by 3" and had bangs added. Layers I had were maintained. For the price, its actually not bad and would go back here for trims or a basic haircut. Paid additional $15 + tip for a blowdry and having very long hair.

Julie Her This hidden gem salon is so wonderful! Mary is professional, experienced, so wonderful, and so caring. She wants you to really explain the cut/style you want and she wants you to feel happy about the results so she is always checking in throughout the haircut. My hair is alive and healthy again. It’s the perfect length! She didn’t make it too short at all. The layers are all even and perfect! Thank you SOO much Mary!

Sean Sczecienski I am in town to watch my Lions smack the 49ers to go to the Super Bowl and decided I needed a cut, even though I was stalling it for the Super Bowl in Vegas. I was skeptical when I arrived, but I am so glad I stayed and committed to it. This might be one of the best cuts Ive had in over a year. The attention to detail was amazing. My only negative about this haircut was that it was done out of town, and Ill probably never be able to get it again! 10/10 would recommend

Justin Balderston Great experience with Paulina. She was really receptive to my idea and did a great cut. Easy to get along with. I got a modern mullet and she shaped it just the way I wanted. Would definitely recommend!

Rohan Vartak Great Haircut, Paulina gave me an hair cut, it was quick like I got done in 30 mins. It was amazing and exactly how I wanted it to be. The place was very clean and well lit. The receptionist was very friendly and the appointment was on time. A really good experience.

Sean Chen I have been to this place for a few years. Last year, I came here again and realized my old hairdresser is gone and not sure how the new hairdresser will do to my hair. It turns out she is really experienced and even better than the previous one. I am not young anymore and have grown grey hair over the years. The hairdresser Mimi has done a great job on make the best of it. The price is not that expensive, so I really recommend Mimi and this place.

Danice Delossantos Did a walk in with no appt and right away was able to do an ombré, Brazilian blowout and trim. Bobby did the color alone then Mimi came later to help with the blowout. Bobby + everyone at the salon was so nice. All of it was very fast and efficient, total time was about 5 hours. They stayed past closing time just to finish everything. Color and cut came out amazing and hair looks and feels so healthy now, will def be coming back here for future hair needs. If you need to get your hair done, come here and ask for Bobby! :)

Sean Liu I’ve been going to Expert Hair Do in Sunnyvale for a while now, and it’s always a fantastic experience. Minnie is my go-to barber, and she’s truly amazing at what she does. Her consistency and attention to detail are unmatched. She has never disappointed and always delivers excellent work. Whether it’s a simple trim or something more styled, Mini pulls off the perfect result every time. On top of her skills, she’s friendly and professional, making each visit enjoyable. I highly recommend Minnie and Expert Hair Do if you’re looking for top-notch service!

Mary Beaven Head over to Expert Hair Do if you wanna get some TLC... Bobby gave me a beautiful haircut ($55), and he got my highlights (around $150 for mid-length hair) just right! I loved my experience at Expert Hair Do including also having a nice conversation with Mimi... Their salon is clean and well-appointed, and they have other services, too, such as facials and nails. Theres ample parking, and other businesses in the strip mall, if you need to run errands or have a bite to eat. I have to say - Id go just for the lovely, relaxing head massage while getting my hair washed...but thats just a bonus on top of Bobbys solid haircut and highlight skills. I left feeling pretty and confident with my new "do"!

Maryam is doing great work with hair for both ladies and gentlemen. She is also very diligent following health checks and guidance regarding COVID-19. She is also extremely busy. Booking months ahead this days.

Ru Got my cut and color done by Esme. She was soo bad at both of them. Would not recommend this salon. They cant communicate properly and overcharge as well. Cant do a proper blow out either

Joy Blackwell White Blanca did an excellent job on my 2 daughters hair and they have really curly hair. She even made cute styles for them.

Joel Becker Theyre nice and they work hard for you, but they did some weird stuff to my hair and asymmetrical, and its going to look weird as the shaved sides grow back in. They didnt make sure they understood what I was asking for.

Roxanna Sharifi I cannot recommend Azita enough! I have curly hair and always felt disappointed when leaving the salon until I met Azita. She really listens to your preferences and communicates what she thinks will be best for your hair. I have been going to her for a couple years and always walk out feeling confident that my hair looks how I want it to and healthy! I also have very thick hair and she took the time to style it beautifully. Azita is amazing and I am very grateful to have found someone I trust and feel comfortable with.

Elle Ditt would avoid stylist Lizette. After having a few years of almost full head of hair regrowth, all I needed was baby blonde highlights on the top and at the temples. Turned out great. Second time she said she had issues with the color being correct because she used a different level developer. I was charged twice as much without any discussion, excuse me $295, and I didnt ask for a full highlight. I wanted the same thing I had the first time. This lack of communication, and finding out about it by text and email is so unprofessional. I would avoid this stylist.

Armaghan Ebrahimi I cant recommend Azita Pourkhamamy [suit108] enough! She is absolutely amazing at both hair cut, color and eyebrows. For my hair, she gave me great advice to correct the color and suggested a cut and used high-quality products that have helped improve my damaged hair significantly. As for my eyebrows, she is a true artist! Her attention to detail is incredible, and her work is flawless every time. Beyond her talent, Azita is professional and always on time—she’s never kept me waiting. Scheduling appointments is super easy, and she’s very accommodating, working with me to find times that fit my schedule. Her kind and funny personality makes every visit enjoyable. If you’re looking for someone who’s skilled, professional, and a joy to be around, Azita is the one!

Jane First saw this concept in LA, so I was familiar with the layout when I came here for the first time to see my stylist’s new location. It’s basically an indoor business park for personal services - eyelash, hair, nails, etc. with each small business independently owned. If you’re coming here, you likely already know for what and with who, so it’s not like you walk in and can pick what place you want to go to without and appointment. It’s bright and clean, with bathrooms and a service desk at the front entrance just in case you’re not sure where you need to go. Overall, I’m glad I have my trusted stylist closer to me and a few other places in here I’ve been meaning to check out. That said, Crystalliste is amazing for hair (and just generally amazing as a person). She’s been my go-to for 7 years now!

Becca Lewis They advertise that they do nails but DO NOT get your nails done here. The ladies were nice but as far as nails go, she definitely didn’t know what she was doing. They BURNED when they were being done, she cut me three times, the nails are poorly shaped and uneven in length, and the paint job is wacky and missing in spots and blotchy in others. At the end of the appointment she had to ask me if they were even. Unfortunately I had to say they were fine as I was already running late for something else. $60 for a hack job refill is crazy and I had to convert it to Canadian which was $88. That was only a week ago and one is already hanging on by a thread.

Rithvik Harish Agastya Tu did a wonderful job cutting my curly hair. She took her time, made great conversation, and paid meticulous attention to all the important details. Call ahead on busy days, but the haircut is definitely worth $20 before tip.

Samuel Tatipamula I have been a regular customer at this place for about two years. I live right next to this place so it was very convenient. However recently in an ill-fated attempt to scale up their business, they added an extra hairstylist who did a horrendous job. She couldn’t communicate properly and basically was paying no attention to what I was saying. Whenever I ask for a change, she kept repeating the same thing she did over and over again and hoping that I would accept. While trimming, she almost made me bleed on my neck because she was so forceful. There was absolutely no skill involved. It was a complete waste of $20. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are multiple spots nearby that you can explore.

Lisa Rose Another great haircut by Christine! (have been coming here for years). She has a good eye and makes good suggestions (and has politely steered me away from some bad ideas). And she takes her time and just keeps snipping and styling until it looks just right! :-)

Such a level of service is rare in the Bay Area, making it a uniquely delightful experience. Their dedication to their craft and their clients comfort is commendable, truly making them stand out in their field.

Janete Jones Annie, cut my hair and the results were terrible. The last time I had Annie, cut my hair I noticed in the back of my head there was a section that would stick out. It looked funny and unfortunately i didnt notice it until the next day. I had my hair cut again by Annie and it was terrible. My bangs are to short, the hair on both of my sides of my head are to short and they lay flat and they hang there. Annie said to style my hair by pulling tge shirt sides back, which i told her my hair doesnt hold in place even if i use product. Annie didnt listen to what i had said, also the back of my head the hair Wasnt cut correctly, my hair was cut where you could see a line nothing was blended, the hair just hung there. Unfortunately I paid for the terrible service and drove directly to another salon that told me the stylist cut my bands too short, the sides of my hair were cut to short and didnt blend in and the back of my hair wasnt blended . the hair just hung there. I dont know why Annie would cut someones hair they way she cut mine. My hair looked terrible. I will never come back. Annie, you didnt blend my hair, you left the back of my hair in a clump,there was no blending, even the other stylist said you left all this hair hanging. The other stylist blended my hair. The bangs are so short, they dont even extend a 1/3 or 1/2 of my forehead. And the sides of my hair hang in a straight line. You never asked me about where I wanted my bangs cut, you asked me if I wanted my bangs cut and I said yes. Ill never come back.

Caroline Ta I had a great experience at Annies. I went in with long dark hair with faded brazzy ends and I walked out with the most amazing cut and color. I had an idea of what I wanted to get, but Annie had great suggestions to color and cut and the outcome was far better than I imagined. I think the price was very reasonable and I paid by credit card. Highly recommended to call ahead if youre getting cut and color.

Mrugesh Parekh Rushing through the haircut and gave me a cut on the back. In the rush, they dont even clean up properly and just try to get you out ASAP. Also when paying, the lady tried to literally select the highest tip forcefully by herself, it should be my choice how much I want to tip but this is the first place where I saw the cashier trying to select the highest tip amount from your card. Would not go again.

Nick Haircut was $15 before tip. I liked the haircut! I asked for a fade and showed Theresa a photo of me with a fresh fade, and I think the results were pretty good! Great value and I’d definitely come back again. Photos are from after a shower.

Jack Cuts… not so lucky. Wanted to maintain my two block hair style but ended up getting my top all cut. She got upset when I asked to shorten the sides. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back.

S Saus I had a very pleasant experience. Very friendly and helped fix the fried hair that I got somewhere else. They seemed to genuinely care about what I 7 my hair looked so much better when I left. Ill be going back next week to have them help me with my hair for NYE. Last note - I had seen Velez many times before but bypassed it because it said " barbershop" on the window but it is a full on salon for women too!

Eri F Adelina forgot our appt/agreement to do my daughters hair and makeup and got mad. She arrived late to the salon. The make up was awful...it looked smeared and didnt hold. The hairdo was awful as well. It was all very poorly done and her unprofessional behavior very disappointing!I will NEVER go back nor will I refer anyone there.

Michelle Me and my cousin have been coming here for a while. Today, my aunt told the lady how she wanted my cousins hair, and told her she was going to the store. When the lady messed up, my cousin told her not to keep doing what she was doing, but the lady said “it’s what your mom wanted”. he insisted and insisted she still said no, and my cousin began to cry. My aunt came back, and walked in and was completely HORRIFIED with the results, they were extremely mad because the results weren’t even close to what we wanted. We have a party this upcoming weekend and my cousin is completely embarrassed with his haircut and he won’t be going.

Bobo Swag If you are looking to get a haircut from Tony, DO NOT DO IT. I have been getting cuts from him for a few years now, and the quality of the haircuts has significantly declined since then. The past two times, I showed him few pictures of what I wanted to get done, and each time, he only glanced at them and then went on with the cut, assuring that he "knows what he is doing". Each of those haircuts ended up NOTHING like the pictures. If you have a specific type of style that you are looking for, DO NOT GO TO TONY he will not execute it. In general, he does whatever he wants, disregarding the customers directions. The one thing that might be convincing here is the price point. $20 seems almost too good to be true- it is. People, it is 2024. A solid haircut is no less than $30-40 these days. For $20, dont expect anything much out of Tony. I would steer clear of him, unless you have absolutely no preference as to what the end result will be.

Listen the requirements and style. There is a Indian grocery next door The Indian Cash & Carry and an Indian restaurant on other side of the shop. So all together one can plan few things together to finish along with Hair cutting.

Jyotika Dwivedi Ruined my hair and wasted my $130. Asked for brown to red brown shade. My hair is so artificially looking jet black. I hate it cause they failed to deliver the hair color. Mind you this is the store manager doing my hair. I thought I got the best person doing my hair after the other stylist made a huge deal out of my current hair color and my liking for the new color. I was told if I chose red brown it would fade and make me look clown red . Really!! I found that rude and insulting. When I confronted the manager saying my hair looks no way close to brown , he disagreed and headed me for checkout and then I was rushed out . Period! Rude service , they are supposed hair professionals!! Horrible experience. I just need my money back .

L-11 The staff (especially Krupa) are phenomenal. First time here, and received great recommendations when I wasn’t sure what color balayage to get. Krupa was very informative & professional, and ensured I got the look I wanted. The culture is amazing with the staff supporting & encouraging each other - positive atmosphere & comments all around. I’ve received many compliments from strangers on my hair color. Already looking forward to my next appointment.
