Jessica Delaney How this place stays open and these people have jobs is an absolute embarrassment to the health care system and to NorthBay. My referral to see a cardiologist went through 4 weeks ago. I called 4x and left a voicemail and message with whoever answers their phone. Never got a call back. I even had my NP email them directly and still no response. This is a sensitive appointment that should not be taken seriously. Such a joke.

Tropic Coast Impossible to make new patient appointments in this office.
They don’t pick up their phones. You get the answering service even in the middle of a weekday. Leaving multiple messages will be just a waste of time since no one ever call you back.
It is scary to think this is a cardiology office. If you have any urgent heart problems, you will be on your own because there will be no one there to help you.

Michael Rowley Lupe promises to call me back, but never does. Seeing the other reviews, Ive concluded thats the way they run things.

Lili Bothwell The doctors are very professional but the front desk staff is very rude. the appointment coordinator put me on hold for more than 15 minutes and when I called back I asked her when would the best time to call and she was very rude and told me that there is no better time because all day long her lines are busy. Ive been trying to get a hold of them for a long time and I never get through the phone. more staff needs to be hired for the front desk and they need to be trained on having good customer service skills I understand the pressure is high nowadays but I work in the healthcare industry and I know there is a way to be kind to the patients. Because you dont know what they are going through they arent going to the doctor because they want to but because they have to.

RZ Sierra I called cardiology to make an appointment for some recent symptoms Ive been having that I wanted to have checked out further after a recent visit to the ER. Im in disbelief at how rude the referral coordinator in Cardiology was to me. In a nut shell; she persistently questioned my knowledge of my own insurance plan which allows me to self-refer, tried to dissuade me from booking an appointment through fear of co-pays, reacted with emotion and frustration at my questions, opened my chart and read off my symptoms from my recent ER visit to me as though I didnt know I had struggled with anxiety before, over-stepped her scope of practice by telling me my symptoms were not indicative of a heart issue and were instead presentations of GERD and anxiety, and overall interacted with me from a place of hostility and belittlement the moment she picked up the phone. For what she was telling me, it seemed like the doctor/practice did not want to see me whatsoever. When I had asked her if that was the case, she became very defensive, accusing me of "putting words in her mouth" and "jumping the gun". For this reason, it felt like she had a personal issue with me and presented without an ounce of professionalism that left me feeling invalidated as a patient. At the end of the call she said she would ask the doctor and call me back but it would take her a few hours. I thanked her and she hung up the phone without saying another word. No "thank you", "sorry about the confusion", "take care". Why was I the one apologizing to her and trying to keep our interaction civil? That was 7 days ago with no return call. If you were having persistent, terrifying symptoms that seemed heart related and you had the insurance to self refer, wouldnt you call cardiology too? This is a classic example of patient concerns not being taken seriously and doctors offices allowing patients to slip through the cracks. As a mental health therapist who works with patients who rely on NorthBay as their primary care provider, its disheartening to know that there are others who are having these same experiences.
