Alesha Bell The service was great. The owner Marcela was very detail oriented. The staff take their time and dont rush anything. They sanitize everything before and after use. They are kind and friendly they even offered me drinks and snacks. i got a fill and a pedicure for only 90 dollars which is relatively inexpensive. The owner gave me some kind words and took pictures to share on social media.

Joan Estep I called ahead to see if they could fit me out on a Saturday afternoon and they told me they were all booked up, and recommended I come in on another day. I had a very tight schedule so I was going to find somewhere else, but they she me know they could fit me in on Sunday at 10 AM when they open. When I arrived, there was one manicurist on staff, and someone else getting their nails done and who was about halfway thru. The manicurist let me know that they were appointment only so I double checked to make sure I was at the right place, as this was my first time there. I let her know that I spoke with someone the day before, and they booked me for an appointment at 10 am that morning. She didn’t know why they said that and she was the only person there she wouldn’t be able to help me for another hour. Very frustrating experience considering I was going to find somewhere else, and the owner insisted that I come in and would fit me in when they actually did not have the space or capacity to do so.

Paola Merino Marcela is Amazing!!!!!!!! Love this place, recently changed nail spots and let me tell you this place really cares about you leaving happy. Marcella took her time and I appreciate the fact that she’s a perfectionist. My nails are beautiful, I’ll be seeing her again in two weeks.

Jacqueline Waizani I found this nail salon based on how well they are rated in the Richmond-San Pablo area. I needed affordable, easy access & most importantly GORGEOUS nails. And that is exactly what they did. I did a gel manicure and this is the first time in my experience doing gel that I haven’t had them peel off or chip. All of her nail products were clean, organized & organic. I could not believe her prices were so affordable especially for the same service. They deserve the most & Marcela was incredibly kind and professional.

morgan kempf Went here for the first time and was very pleased with how everyone made sure I was getting what I wanted. There was some slight confusion on my part as to what I wanted and the nail technicians were very patient with ensuring I was well cared for. Great price and wonderful quality. I did a walk-in and they were able to fit me in right away. I will definitely be back. I don’t think my nails have ever looked better!!

Beanbag141 Place looked clean, people were friendly enough, but when it came to removing my old set of acrylics, they just ripped them off. Like the nail tech took an extension, wedged it between the natural nail and the acrylic and then just popped it off. It damaged my natural nail pretty badly. It felt like the nail tech was rushing the whole time and therefore the nails themselves looked good but not great. One of my nails also already popped off just a few days after getting them done. Overall, the experience was not worth the price and I will not be returning.

Renee Choi Have been coming here for more than 10 times (?) now but lately I feel like the quality has gone down. Not all technicians have the same procedure. One mishandled the drill tip and made me bleed very badly near the edge of my nail. The place didn’t feel 100% clean, when they don’t sanitize the tools between use. The reason why I decided not to return is their lack of price transparency. I normally pay $50 but they charge me $65 at the till last time, and I was told removal costs $10 and another thing they added on top costs $5. Would have been nice to know before hand.

Lei Always an amazing experience at Valley nails. Their services are wonderful and you really can get almost any design you can think of. They have so many products to use and their pedicures are detailed. Every tech that I have gotten here is talented and takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. Jennifer and May in particular are 10/10 amazing !!! Would recommend to anybody!

Caitlin Gaustad Jennifer gave me the best gel dip manicure I’ve ever had. She took the time to understand what shape and color I wanted, and I truly felt like I received a value service for the price. I’ve been to several nail salons and rarely feel fully satisfied with my nails when I leave. I asked for round, natural nails that are low maintenance enough to grow out a bit. Jennifer helped me pick #9 from Nails By John with a clear base and a “cotton candy” chrome-like top coat. I love how my nails turned out. I’m always annoyed when places don’t cover your full nail so I am happy she was so thorough and painted the full nail bed (you can tell from the video). She’s also super easy to talk to and it made the whole experience really pleasant. I’ve finally found a favorite nail expert to see regularly! Adding another photo to show that Jennifer nailed the color I brought in from Pinterest. She custom mixed dip powders to give me exactly the fall vibe I was going for.

Marsha Anderson I always have a great experience and great customer service when I go my favorite technician is Sol. Shes a technician and training from the pictures that you see she did my nails, and I was very pleased. I ask everyone that has the pleasure of getting her for technician if youre in a hurry, use a more experienced technician Sol is in training and it takes time and shes only going to get better with experience so please be patient if you happen to get her shes very kind person and does a great job, you will grow to really appreciate her. Remember we all had to start somewhere so please be kind and give her some encouragement.. shes my go-to girl. The overall shop is clean the technicians are super super nice.

Joanna Gummery I love getting my nails done here, they are so friendly and warm. Been coming for a few years and love to see Nancy or Tina, but everyone is great and I know Ill get a top-quality mani/pedi no matter who I see. I love the care and attention they put into the health of my nails too, especially since I started doing an acrylic layer (which makes my frequent color changes so much easier than the dip powder).

Satsujin Haruno Went here for the first time and everyone was so very nice and respectful! They did my nails as close to the reference picture as they could, it was all hand drawn and turned out prettier than the original in my opinion! They took their time but the pace was still very steady and I was in and out in lesser time than I originally thought! The place is kinda small and theres not a lot of parking but Ive now found my regular spot!

Love Love Way over priced for a simple set (short acrylic French tip) IT COST ME OVER $75!! I’ve payed wayyy cheaper elsewhere. Tina tends to rush and Tony always does a great job but i equally feel they tend to just throw any price for nails. I’ve been coming here for YEARS now and it’s just becoming ran down. I mostly come for eyebrows and literally have to wait over an hour!! Tony doesn’t do facials or waxing which only leaves Tina. She hardly cares and makes you wait which sucks bcus it only takes 10min for eyebrows ☹️ *sigh* I hate to say it, but I won’t be returning, I’ve given this place chance after chance. Go spend your money where you are valued.

Bethany Lopez Beautiful nails as always, but except the fact that when I go, certain products they use arent labeled. The women that does my nails is sweet as pie, but recently when I went, I asked the man who works there what products he was using on my nails, as soon as that was said he snapped back at me and said "Thats for me to know and you to not." As soon as that happened I knew I was done, and I plan on never coming back. As a customer I have the right to know what products are going to be used on MY body.

Ingrid McFarland Do not go here!!! They are super rude. No manners. They dont greet or bother even asking what can we help with. The owner is the main one who disregards the client. The fumes were super strong, and I also asked for a mask, and it was as if I asked for $50... They were hesitant, so I gave the mask back and left. Never again. And I put up with a lot of stuff but this unacceptable. Owner looks like she just works there and is probably ready to retire. Not a happy lady.

Vivian Chen Kim does the best gel extensions I’ve found in all of SF. No lifting for 6 weeks just grown out. Lynn does the coolest designs, there hasnt been one I wanted that she couldn’t do. The salon has limited charms though if theres a specific one you want to use you should bring it yourself. They have common ones like bows and rhinestones.

Tifani Fuentes Probably one of the worst nail salons that I’ve Been to in San Francisco. Not only was the price almost $80 just for a fill They would not take any direction as to The requested shape of the nail they continued to do it their way, despite countless asks I was left with lumpy square nails (did not ask for square at all) that were so thick and uneven including the several coats of uneven paint. I had to file them down when I got home. My cuticles are completely ripped off and my hands look horrendous. I do not recommend at all. Never again!

Carissa Zhong First time trying this salon and the pedicure experience was painful! Kelly who did the pedicure for me cut toenails on my left foot so short, especially the big toe, I screamed 4-5 times when she cut it and did the cuticle and filing. You can tell from the picture, left foot and right foot are not even. I wasn’t bleeding (thank goodness), but man it was painful! Now that I’m home when I wear socks, my left foot hurts because the skin of the big toe rubs with my sock. Cutting the toenails should be the most basic skill, how can she mess that up? The owner said Kelly usually is very good. I don’t believe that at all. Again, basic skill. I would never want Kelly to do my nails again. Thank god it’s Tina who did manicure for me, who was very good. When I made reservation online, I don’t have a chance to choose which staff. I don’t think I will take the risk coming here again not knowing who I will get. I paid $145 for delux gel pedi and gel mani, which is very expensive but the quality and experience don’t match the price tag. They are also short of staffs on Sunday. Normally when I go to my go-to salons, 2 people do mani and pedi in the same time, so I can get it done sooner. But today, I had to wait till the pedi is done then did the mani, I spent total 2.5 hours waiting and for the whole process. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Lorna Jean Yabut I have been coming to Lenas Nails for years and Lena is AWESOME! Her and her husband are a great team. He always helps her sweeping up, getting colors, getting towels, etc. The environment is always calm and relaxing. Theyre both friendly and polite, never rude, always asking how Ive been and talking about current events. Lena always uses clean tools and is the BEST when me it comes to an ingrown nail. She has a wide selection of colors, gel or acrylic, as well as hair removal services. She has a menu for all her services with pricing in full view. They always have me feeling relaxed and thoroughly pampered after each visit. I never go anywhere else! I even had Lena do my nails for my wedding thats how awesome I love her services!

Adrian Morris I loooooove Lenas nails. She is always beyond accommodating. She and her husband run the shop by themselves and do an exceptional job. If you want to guanranted that you get the time that works best for you always call ahead and Lena will always do her best to accommodate you. She does a pedicure that is out of this world and is super thorough. My siblings and I only trust her to do our nails and toes. I drive all the way from Marin every two weeks just to see her. Shes the best. Not to mention she had a variety of mood gel colors my favorite!!! Check her out.

Sanilie Foster I was looking up nail shops in the area and came across Lenas Nails. I saw some of the most beautiful nail pictures on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Let me say that I am so very happy and so impressed with her service. My experience at her nail shop was amazing and this is by far the best nail shop that I have ever been to. You can tell that shes very passionate in the work that she does and wants you to love your nails. I would recommend this shop to anyone and Ill definitely be back again.

erick portillo I’ve been coming with Lena since she first open back 2013. I was one of her very first customer and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. It’s now 2018 and this my treat myself spot for manicure and pedicure , facial to relax deep clean my skin or wax to perfection. She so sweet and nice and really takes care of you. She does not mind my tickleish self on my feet I scream with laughter but once she done I see my feet look like new again.she works by appointment so no waiting game and does the best detail job! Olivia Guzman My good sis, Stephani recommended this spot. No frills found here but its still a hidden gem! I showed up without appointment and was treated with kindness, appreciation and respect. They didnt offer my usual (dip, upscale high priced pedicure) but what they did have to offer came with attention to detail and quality service. My favorite part of my acrylic fill in (on my dip nail set WHICH came out flawless) and pedicure service was the pedicure massage and tiger balm oil foot treatment!!!! Alizé Alcaraz This is my third time here at Kims nails and although my nails never quite look like my vision they usually werent bad. Today I came in and asked which designs the nail technician could do. After shooting down three that were too hard we landed on this one. The flowers are done really poorly and the below pictures are after she attempted to redo them. The first time all petals were red white and pink due to the colors mixing. I was charged and extra $40 for these designs as well. (Last picture is the inspiration)

Uniqu3ly_Qu33ni3 My nails look HORRIBLE!!! Some are painted completely but some are missing polish in multiple areas. My right thumb is BULKY!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! I stopped coming here years ago & should’ve NEVER RETURNED!!! My nail tech was booked unfortunately!!! The older lady who did my nails kept asking if I liked them, I kept saying NO!!! She kept using TISSUE to wipe my nails, which was adding fibers so she kept redoing them & this was the outcome!!! Cindy double/triple dips on her wax which is AGAINST THE LAW!!! It’s a review of a woman getting STAPH from here!!! LISTEN TO US & DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Cindy had the audacity to say my nails look good!!! 2 of Cindy’s clients said my nails were HIDEOUS & DULL!!! I’m on a new spiritual journey that told me to just LEAVE!!! $22 WASTED because Cindy’s DISRESPECT was going to try to bring the DEVIL OUT OF ME!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

Brittany Alvine I was just at this nail salon and didn’t notice my toes until I walked out how bad they were. I came in for just a pedicure and the woman walked away before finishing my pedicure and they were going to have someone give me a top coat after only one layer of polish. I mentioned this and she added another coat and redid my big toe. After seeing it in the car I couldn’t believe they let me walk out with such a messy job and paying $30 for this service. Maybe I just had a one-off bad experience but I would not recommend this place for a basic pedicure. Update: I went back to ask for a refund for just one of the three pedicures my party paid for and they offered to repaint my nails. After having had them repaint while I was there and doing such a bad job I opted out of that offer, not to mention I don’t have time to sit again to have the job redone. They have awful service and did not provide the service I paid for.

Vanessa Sheldon This was a recommendation from a customer of mine and Im SO GLAD to say that it was beyond pleasant! Tim was the nail tech who did my nails and he was fast and efficient! He also had the best personality Ive encountered when getting my nails done. He cracked jokes and we laughed pretty much the whole time. He definitely made it feel as though I was family with how comfortable everything was. On a last note, I live about 30 min away and this experience has made me confident in saying I will definitely be coming back.

jen miller I had a great first-time experience at the nail salon. The staff were friendly and even offered me coffee. My nail artist, Lyn, was very understanding and listened to my concerns. She manually removed my old gel using foil and acetone, then gently buffed my nails instead of using a drill due to my nail sensitivity.I was indecisive about the nail art, but Lyn gave me a few helpful suggestions. The lady who did my pedicure (her name starts with "H") seemed new but was very nice, a good listener, and did a great job with my gel pedicure.Overall, the customer service was excellent. I will definitely come back for Lyn.

Wen Worse gel manicure. It looks like a kid did it. And when I said something the lady fixed one of them and said the rest were fine. But they all had dents in them. Also they double charge me $20 tip. And when I went to talk to the manager she said my bank was probably wrong. She did return my money took 4 business days.

All these photos were taken the same day I got the work done. I had just got off a 12 hours shift and was exhausted and falling asleep in the chair. I got played.

My $100 Gel paint job is cracking they missed removing some previous gray paint shown in the pics and my nail bed looks terrible. Yes I do believe it is their job to clean up my cuticles. They painted my toes and left streaks "too embarrassed to share those pics" I work hard for my money I do not appreciate it being wasted. Ill have to find some place to fix it. Likly costing me the same amount. Customer service was ok that is why Im giving 2. I do expect better from Rose and her crew!

Tiana Valdespino This was walking distance from where my car was getting worked on. I wish I got the woman’s name..she was the only one working there all day! I wasn’t too impressed with color choices, but for the price and quality of the basic pedicure I got outweighed that. She was so meticulous and thorough. I’m very ticklish/sensitive on my feet, so I’m usually clenching and or squirming during a pedi, especially during the massage. This was not the case today; I was fully relaxed and was close to falling asleep. For being the only woman working in the shop, and for having a growing number of walkins as the time went on, she easily could have skimped on my service and rushed through it (as I’ve experienced in other salons). But like I said, she was meticulous and thorough and very sweet on top of that too. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area!

Irma Gomez She does not know how to thread eyebrows AT ALL. She made sure to ask me if I liked them thin before she started, I SAID NO, and she still did them thin. It hurt more than threading usually does when she did them, and she had the nerve to roughly pluck at the sensitive skin with tweasers after. My eyebrows still sting. Also one eyebrow is thinner than the other! She charges more than some other places just to mess your eyebrows up. Ive been working on getting my eyebrows nice and thick for some time. Now thanks to her I have to start over. I blame myself for not being patient enough to find a better salon, but also her for claiming to be able do something shes clearly not capable of. I only paid because I was not about to get into an argument with an older woman over $10, but best believe I had to get on here and warn others.

Elizabeth Contreras Yesterday Me and my mother went to get our nails. We wanted french white tip. She did not even ask what shape I wanted. The cuts were all wrong. I was waiting for her to notice it but she seemed she noticed it but did nothing about it. I told her hey this is wrong. They buffered my fingers so hard and carelessly that 3 eventually bleed. We asked for gel and there were lint marks remaining and small bubbles as well as glue on the sides. We had an appointment At some other place that i did not even try to complain. Today I see they are peeling from the corners. I went in and asked for a refund. She said she cannot do that. She said she would fix it. The only thing she did is put gel back on. I told her there are big pieces of lint that she had to redo them. She was like I cannot fix no more. She said she did not see any lint and argued that thats how they are suppose to look like. Dont go here they do such a horrible messy job.

Vanessa Sheldon I am torn. I like how they did my nails but the place was over booked and crowded. I spent 2 hours there and was bounced around between 3 people. Then, it took the 3rd person who finished my nails to get the shape right. In the end, another customer, who seen me earlier was shocked to see that I was still there by the time she sat down for her appointment. They tried to make it up by giving me a discount on my nails and giving me a free hand and arm massage. All in all, I appreciate them trying to make it up but the experience left me questioning if Ill be back.
