Camille Wray Went to this nail salon in a pinch to get my friend and I’s acrylic fill set done. We had an appointment at 3:30p and wasn’t see until much closer to 4pm. With that being said, after we picked out colors and found out that on top of the $50 for a full set, it’s $5 for a gel color that was never even dried with a UV light. After we sat down to start what we thought would be a relaxing experience, she about files my friends and is nails off with how hard and FAST she was going. She then proceeded to ask about our nails length and when we showed her that we wanted coffin shaped nails that are a little longer than “short” and she immediately stated that it would be $15 up charge to cut less of the fake nail off. So if you’re keeping track, we’re at a total of $70 for each of us. I was about to walk out after I saw what was next... she then put the acrylic powder on our nails in 4 different uneven sections that made my nails looks worse than when I started. All together, I will have to say that this is THE worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. We had such high hopes with it being in THE MIDDLE OF DOWNTOWN PALO ALTO, but I guess not. Save your money and go to San Jose for your nails. Not worth it. While she was nice, it doesn’t make up for quality

lisa hinchman I wish I could put a photo of my nails. I gladly spent $60 expecting my nails to look great for my niece’s wedding. Within 24 hours, three of the nails had broken off, despite that I was only attending social gatherings ( nothing hard on nails). Very disappointed.

Natalie I really enjoyed my experience at Kims Salon (now at 174 University ave). I got my gel nails removed and she and Tammy took time and care doing it. Will be back! The salon is also lovely, with nice wood finishes and is very clean.

Hud Huynh After months of searching for a nail technician Ive finally found her! At Kims Nail Care, Tracy is hands down the best and goes above and beyond to make sure she gets the job done right. You can really tell she takes pride in what she does, gets into those spots you mostly have to tell people to do and most importantly shes quick! Thank you Tracy for the beautiful nails and I will definitely see you soon!

Allison Feinstein Negron Overpriced and poor service. Only worth going to in a pinch. It felt dirty to pay $65 for a basic manicure/pedicure that took too long by an inexperienced “technician.” Given the competition, I’m surprised this place is still open.

Tuane Quintella I have been to Kendras twice now and both times got amazing service and beautiful nails! Staff is super nice and incredibly talented. Its my go to nail salon now!

Marjory Ruiz I went to Kendras last week for a standard mani-pedi. I called ahead on the same day and made an appointment. The staff were extremely friendly, both on the call and in person, and my pedicure has held up great, which is why I am giving this place 3 stars. I am greatly disappointed about the quality of the manicure in particular. One person started my manicure, and as soon as another customer came, this person left to attend the new customer. Normally this would not be a problem, but the first person failed to communicate with the second person who did my manicure, and as a result, the cuticles on my left hand were left untouched. Additionally, the manicurist left a huge unpainted gap between the base of most of my nails and the base of the polish, and sloppily layered on the different coats of polish (see photos). Exactly 1 week after the manicure, I took new photos of my nails, showing how while the tip of my nails still look nice, the base, especially on my right index finger looks atrocious. I suspect that had I gotten gel polish, they would have taken more of a care with the look of the finished product. Anyway, if you are getting a normal mani-pedi, please do not come here!

Kelsea Brittain I really wanted to love this salon. Everyone was very friendly, Kendra was kind and spoke to all the customers. However, my gel manicure and regular pedicure were very messy, a couple of my fingers have cuts from the cuticle cutter, other nails look like they did not even get the cuticles trimmed. There are bumps and visible debris under the top coat of gel. The nail tech I had did not completely take off my previous gel manicure and just painted over it, causing it to look uneven. Unfortunately, my gel manicure is already chipped after less than a week as well. The friendliness of the salon would have me consider giving them a second try but I’m definitely disappointed!

Emma Moslander I have gone to 4 other nail spas in Menlo Park and none of them are as great as Kendra’s Spa! I always used gel on my fingernails and couldn’t grow my nails out past my fingertip. Kendra recommend that I change from gel to powder-dip and both times that she’s done them, I have been super satisfied with the outcome. I am very, very rough on my hands and my nails lasted 3.5 weeks! Her nail spa is now my ONLY go-to nail place in Menlo Park - went today with my mom and sister! She did my request for an ombre Christmas nails and LOVE it! The cost to get a powder-dip is $70.00 - $60 for the job + a $10 tip! I would recommend 1000%! ❤️

Emma Krasovich Amazing gel manicure! Been to other nail salons in Menlo Park, but this was my favorite experience yet. Everyone is so kind and friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic, and nails turned out amazing! Very attentive and detailed and the hand massage was fantastic! I will definitely be back

Illiana NA Wonderful place to have a manicure, pedicure and other spa services! The owner, Jenny, is a talented nail artist! The other ladies who work here, are also very talented and take care of their clients with high quality products and clean tools. I have been a devoted client of Jennys for several years and I would not go anywhere else for my mani-pedi services. Jennys nail art is unique and custom tailored to what you want, she has an impeccable sense of aesthetics!

Lindsey Tee Jenii is AMAZING!! I’ve had my dip powder manicure for 3 weeks now and my nails are still PERFECT! Normal growth, and no chipping or lifting at all. I’ve gone to several nail salons over the years and I’ve never made it 3 weeks without having at least one or two nails lifting. I also love that Jenii’s dip manicures don’t use UV light (many salons still use UV light for the top coating of dips). My skin is very sensitive and gets easily irritated and itchy from the UV light machines, so I’m grateful Jenii doesn’t use that. So excited to come back soon! I don’t even live near Mountain View but I’m determined to prioritize a visit to Jenii whenever I can!

Lydell Graham Ive been in the Palo Alto area for a couple of years and Jenni was the first nail technician. She an amazing job and got my nail shape PERFECT (real coffin shape). I tried some other nail salons and disappointment after disappointing, I tracked Jenni down to do my nails again. I have a standing appointment that I refuse to miss. Jenni and her team is amazing.

Char P. A colleague and I had decided to get our nails done on a really cold Sunday; it was last minute, but we were able to reserve an appointment on their online service platform. It was fairly easy. I had gotten a regular mani and a Trendy pedi; my massage was not as satisfying as I had expected it to be. They had also run out of the neon color I wanted so I had to choose a different one. The staff were really nice even though they were really busy. I do like how my nails had turned out. They had a lot of color options, and Im okay with my service.

Niki I have come to this place multiple times over the years, but my recent visit has made me decide not to come back to this business unfortunately. I found a significant discrepancy between what was listed on their website and what they charged me despite me pointing this out. For example, I was charged $15 for a paraffin treatment that is listed for $10 on their website. Furthermore, I requested an express pedicure that based on their website includes a 5 mins massage, aromatic mineral soak, and stimulating hot towels none of which i received. When I pointed this out, I was told their menu has changed and shown a pamphlet different than what is on the website. When I pointed out that the printed pamphlet she was showing me still included the mineral soak, she told me they have stopped using the soak since it’s bad for your skin :))

Psomí If i could give 0 stars I would. I went in to get an acrylic set taken off and am horrified at the state of my nails. I paid 20$ for them to damage my nail beds. My poor nails would be in better condition if I had bitten them off.

Susan Hough This is what my nails looked like after my manicure. My nails needed to be trimmed but were long enough that they did not need to be cut to the quick like this. (The first nail was cut too short so I figured I would have to live with them all being short, but the rest were even shorter than the first.) I came in around 5pm so there should have been plenty of time, but they mostly seemed interested in closing shop early. More to be said, but Ill stop there.

Lauren Shaffer Koepke I’ve been getting my nails done by Ivy for three years, even following when she had to move locations because of how exceptional the service is. The high quality, friendly staff, and attention to detail keep me coming back. I can’t recommend Ivy’s enough! She has gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions, and even did my nails for my wedding.

Rania Johnson Ivy does a perfect job every time! She is the first person I’ve gone to for dip nails that is able to make them look thin and natural. She has attention to detail (I’m picky) and is always learning new techniques. She is also very careful with removal of dip manicures so that my nails are never damaged. I’ve seen a number of technicians for pedicures and they have always done a careful, thorough job. The salon is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

Richa Juneja Ivy is a true artist, and all the other ladies here are excellent as well! The attention to detail is amazing, appointments are always efficient, and the customer service is top-notch. Highly recommend! I come up with new design all the time and this salon always goes above and beyond.

Megan Bergman Five days into a gel manicure, most of my nails are scuffed, one is chipped, and most have polish unevenly applied so they appear streaky/see-through. I came to this salon because of strong reviews, but this is the worst gel manicure I’ve ever had.

Lee Barkley Meticulously clean! Ive been going here for 3 years. Once they reopened, all possible updates and precautions were put in place for your and their protection. Professional and skilled, friendly, happy technicians. This is the best nail salon in the Bay Area. Ive tried 5 others and they were nowhere near this quality.

Jennifer Tellefsen I’ve been coming here for many years. Nancy always does an excellent job cutting and styling my hair. I won’t go anywhere else.

Ryan Sun Nancy is really great, she’s the only one I trust to cut my hair after having a bad experience elsewhere (I have long hair fyi). She’s meticulous and makes sure the length and layers are even, even when it’s very busy. Prices are so low and I hope they stay in business a long time so I can come back. (She’s very busy since she manages everything herself with no front desk receptionist, which is probably why prices can be so low, so if you are understanding and patient about that, it’s so worth it and the best place I recommend)

Micah Alon Horrible experience. I came to remove my Gel polish and they refused to give me nail strengthener. The lady who was doing my nails was constantly picking up the phone and wasn’t focused on my nails. She was too aggressive with my cuticles and now I have an infection. Overcharged $30 for poor results.

Sabina A I did powder nail extensions with ombre design with a spa pedicure at this salon. In total it took 2hours - in the end it looked really good - lots of compliments. Powder extension and ombre turned out to be complicated but Truc handled it so well. She’s is a real professional. Spa pedicure was amazing too - clean fast and good color. my only complaint is that while we were discussing and doing the nail extensions i didn’t get to enjoy foot massage . Perhaps next time I’ll ask to stop the mani for 5 min for it. A week later - still looks good. Free flip flop for multiple use is also TOP! Looks like I’m a regular here .

Samantha Martinez I had the spa jelly polish manicure and cats eye pedicure combo with Tiffany Q & Ann. The shaping of the nails were meticulous and carefully done. They made sure I liked it every step of the way & honestly I’ve never liked my nails more! ☺️☺️ very happy and will be coming back!

Chelsea Einerwold Ornelas Booking an appointment online for this place was so easy and convenient. It’s a friendly and inviting atmosphere. It was quiet and calm. Mahsa did my manicure while Jennifer did my pedicure. They did excellent work and were attentive to details. They also gave me coffee. It was truly a treat and just the pick me up I needed!

Julie Daniels Beautiful salon, neat clean and specious with highly trained staff. I’m super picky and difficult with my nails so trust me when I say- this is the best salon in the bay. Personally I recommend Tiffany who is probably the best nail professional I’ve ever met. She did a phenomenal job time after time when I came in with disastrous nails after being away for a while. She is the best!

Marci Breitling Baby Bamboo and Tiffany made me feel like a queen! I had a spa manicure and spa pedicure. It was fantastic. Tiffany did my massage and baby bamboo did the rest. My hands and feet were in terrible condition and now they are perfect. My feet are smooth like a baby’s bottom. I highly recommend going.

Landy Luna I found Orchid Nails 2 years ago (after struggling with several other nail salons in the Bay Area) and never left! I’ve been getting my nails pretty regularly since then and have tried gel, dip and acrylic. I switch back and forth and they are always so kind, accommodating and make feel happy and relaxed after my appointment. They always make space for me, try any designs I bring and change my nails in the shape and thickness I want. I have brought my family and my close friends and they all have absolutely loved them! Highly recommended!

Dima Machnouk The best nail spa! They have been consistently amazing (adding many pictures so you can see the consistency). No matter what the state of my nails is coming in, I always leave satisfied. It’s a comfortable space, they play calming music and the massage chairs are fun. So happy I found this spot when I moved to Palo Alto last year. My preference is Quynh for manicures, but my experience with everyone has been awesome.

Emily Mathison Having moved to the area in the past year, I hadn’t yet found a go-to nail salon…but needed my nails done for my wedding!! I took the risk to go somewhere new for my wedding nails and I am SO happy I did. Mai did my manicure and Tiffany did my pedicure. I did a mini French tip gel for my fingers and a crisp white for my toes. Both were absolutely amazing. Fantastic selection of colors, beautiful space, and incredible care and attention to detail. All of my nails looked perfect! I actually didn’t take photos immediately after but I just took a photo two weeks later (after a wedding, honeymoon, lots of packing/unpacking) and they still look perfect. I already can’t wait to come back and am so happy to have found my new favorite nail salon and be done with the search!

I got the indulgent pedicure and the jelly bath is so new to me but i loved it. Nina took care of me and she was so nice and accommodating to me. This will probably be my new go to salon :).

coco svindland I was in Palo Alto for a trip and needed my nails done so I came here. What I can tell you is that Michelle is so amazing!!! I called her in the morning and she got me in quickly! I also was able to text her the color and length I wanted beforehand, and once I got there she had a few swatches for me to pick from! She is very skilled and efficient and I such a nice time talking with her. Her studio is also very clean and comfortable. I will defiantly be coming back when I’m back in town!

Chloe Su Had a great experience coming here for the first time! Michelle has morning appointments if you want to get nails done before work. She asked me for colors before the appointment and had colors ready for me to try and pick before I got there. It was nice being able to try the colors instead of rushing to pick from a sample palette on the day. The place is nice and cosy and only works on 1-2 customers at a time so it feels private - I liked it a lot! Michelle was super welcoming and made me feel comfortable right from the start. Needless to say, she also has great skills and made my nails look even nicer than I expected :) Highly recommend!!

Kristy Tong Lily is super talented and did a fantastic job on my wedding nails. Love how she hand painted all the flower details and made sure my nails would last until my wedding. I was super impressed how great they still look over a month. That had never happened before since I have very oily nails and would normally last only a week or two at most. Highly recommend her!

chavi coy absolutely love it here. being on campus at stanford i’ve been to a good amount of places nearby, but this is my favorite. i came by twice in the same week!! everyone there is incredibly sweet and great at what they do. would recommend to everyone! mimi does great eyebrows and hair! i’m someone that is loyal to a salon once i find my holy grail, and this is it.

Julia Yarygina I want to preface this review by that I have been to this nail salon before and had a great experience that’s why this was a two star review. When I went on 10/30 I didn’t have a great experience. First of all I had an appointment at 5:30, and I wasn’t able to be serviced until 5:45. I completely understand that and didn’t mind it. But since the nail tech was rushing to make up the time she was on edge and not careful. During my cuticle removal process, she squeezed the lemon that was in the cuticle water on my dry hands and my hands were burning. Then, when it was time to apply my gel polish she was rushing so fast I felt like my nails were not cured properly. I tried to bring that up but she assured me that they were. Additionally, I went with a friend who had someone else and she had a great experience. She even got a hot towel at the end of her service and my tech just ran away without giving me a hot towel. Which if my nails were done properly I wouldn’t have minded that. But it’s been less than 1 day and my nail is peeling off and another one is chipped. I have gotten gel nails done for years and this has never happened to me before.

Jenna Roth Jolie at Kitchen Nail Bar is my go-to. I’ve been going to Jolie for over a year. She is fast, efficient and always uses the highest quality products. I never have any chipping or broken nails, and never have to go back for her to fix anything. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes great care of me, advising and educating me on what would be best (acrylic, builder gel, etc). Jolie is amazing! And everyone else at the salon is friendly, kind & fun. I love going every few weeks!

Emily Love Best nail salon in the bay!! They are so quick and do an AMAZING job. I usually hate getting my nails done but I actually enjoy it here. They also have such a big salon with plenty of staff so I have never had a problem getting seated quickly even with a walk in! Highly recommend!!

Daisy Gonzalez I had the best experience with Christina! Her customer service was outstanding. She took the time to ask exactly what I wanted and, since I’m often unsure about what to do with my nails, she gave me great options. I’m trying to grow my nails, so she recommended Gel X and showed me some beautiful nail polish choices. While working on my nails, she even offered me a drink and gave me her full attention the entire time. I’ve never received such amazing service before! I absolutely love it here and will definitely be coming back to Christina.

Marissa Avila Loved my new set of acrylic nails!!!! La Jolie and Social Salon are my favorite places in PA My shape is always difficult to make perfect but I think they did an amazing job. The staff here are super friendly and there’s always some snacks and drinks here while you’re getting your nails done.

Michaela OHara Incredible job by Thu and Annie. Thu did my dip with tip and Annie finished off with perfect nail art for the summer. They were patient and accommodating. Thu shaped my nails in a way I haven’t yet done and I love it! Annie helped pick the best colors for my art and was so fast.

linda love Love this place!! Sandy was super sweet and provided amazing service! I was eating across the street at Son & Garden and noticed the nail shop. I like how clean and simple the nail shop looks. The price is fair to me (compare to San Francisco) plus they have cute add-on spa feature such as pumpkin latte lotion or this peppermint oil during the manicure massage. Sandy was fun to talk to and she made my nails look super cute! They have tons of gel nail color and cool designs! They really focus on toxic-free and natural products. I would definitely come back!

Lily Chiu I had a fantastic experience with Sandy for a sit-n-dry manicure. I was in a rush, and she did an amazing job! Not only was she quick, but the quality of her work was top-notch. Sandy applied the polish perfectly and added a beautiful design that really stood out. I loved how attentive she was to my preferences, making sure I was happy with everything. The salon itself was clean and well-organized, which added to the overall positive experience. If you need a fast yet fabulous manicure, I highly recommend booking with Sandy at Xanh Nail Spa! Jiwon Lee left me with a giant hole in my nail that will take weeks to grow out. this is what happens if i paint nail polish over my screwed nails edit: the younger ladies are fine. the older ladies have pretty bad eyesight and should not be doing nails at that age. both times i have gotten them done they have done something bad, like ripping out all my cuticles and causing 1~2 weeks of bleeding or dremeling my entire nail away

My nail technician Sandy did an amazing job on my ombré manicure, paying attention to every detail. My nails look perfect and have received so many compliments. Amber Botello Excellent customer service, never felt rushed and they were very attentive. They had a lot of patience with my daughter and her many requests. The price is worth the experience so do not expect this to be a budget friendly, rushed nail salon. My husband agreed that the place smelled and looked clean, it’s in a great location for a dinner or lunch date after getting pampered .

Original: Vanna did a beautiful job rescuing my nails from the work of another Palo Alto salon. I will be going here from on. The salon is beautiful with soothing lighting vs the harsh lighting of many others. Wonderful attention to detail!

Massy Safai Outstanding and very professional staff. Exceptional in terms of quality of service and cleanliness of the salon. I have been doing my nails and eye brows with Annie, the manicure and pedicure are excellent. She is always suggesting new colors, new treatments and so thorough with every service. She does an amazing job with the eye bro waxing and other waxing services. The salon is quiet and relaxing. I can easily say it is the best salon in Palo Alto or mid peninsula. Kudos to the staff and the management!

Judit Pacheco I’m giving them at least 2 stars because their customer service was above and beyond. Super sweet and the place is beautiful. Unfortunately I was unhappy with the quality of work and the fees. I got charged extra because my nails were “long” when I had asked for short….there’s lint stuck on my nails and she kept wiping it and re painting them. I didn’t say anything because it took almost 3 hrs for a simple set and I was not going to stay longer. Way over priced also, for a gel pedicure and this set I got shown in the picture.

Alec Morales I’ve been here twice and always such a good experience. This time around, I got my nails done by Lynn! She was very detailed and did so great on my nails. She did the nails better than the Pinterest photo I showed her! I’ve never had my nails this good before! Will definitely going back here.

Caeleigh Phenomenal job!!! I got an acrylic set here and Sarah was incredible! She replicated the photo with perfection and I have never been so happy with my nails. It’s also very clean, smells amazing, and full of super nice workers. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

Apoorva Dixit Tammy did my manicure and Lin did my pedicure (both gel)! I also got my eyebrows + upper lip waxed here. Im very happy with my nails and the waxing! They spent time with me helping me figure out what kind of a look I wanted for my friends wedding, suggested some ideas that I really liked and ended up going for! The atmosphere here is so nice, everyone is friendly and patient and hears you out. I also brought my boyfriend here who hasnt had manicures before and he was really nervous at first but they were really kind and explained the whole process to him and chatted with him throughout his manicure. Great place!
