Valeria Coronado I give 2 stars because the person who did my pedi was very nice and kind and my nails looked nice. I wanted to love this place and be my regular salon but nope. I did my nails on a Friday by Sunday one of my nail broke a little bit out of nowhere I was out of town for a weeding so I wasn’t doing any housekeeping or anything that could accidentally brake my nail. On Friday when I arrived I asked for acrílico with gel on top, I needed something mucha stronger than gel because I was having this issue with other salon. One lady told me she could do powder nails since it was stronger and they will last, well 2 days later… here I am in the same annoying situation. I called on Sunday and see if they could fix it and they just say that they didn’t have a spot to attend me. I feel like if you want to give a good customer service you could try your best to fix a job you did wrong in the first place. I don’t think it takes too long to fix a nail. Maybe some people don’t care about it, but others (like me) do.

Tiara Daniel Finding a nail salon when you move to a different state is so tough, but I took a chance here and I love my nails. Very neat and precise just like I like it. They prefer cash, however I wasn’t aware so zelle for a tip and Apple Pay to pay. Also, be mindful of parking, street parking using an app to pay. Also, the wax lady is not present everyday, so I wasn’t able to get my brows done. Next time.

Crissy Leen So Happy for this beautiful family business that just opened their Nail Spa. But I’m Tom’s client for more than a year and simply love his art. He takes his time but at the same time is so focus in doing an amazing job. His designs are not only unique but well done. His wife also do manicure and is such a sweetheart. The Hospitality and service is wonderful. Tom is focus in the details and truly love what he does. The Ambience is Bright, clean and fresh. You will absolutely love as much as I do.

Sara Consolino Emily is the absolute best nail tech I’ve had in my entire life. She is so sweet and wildly talented. She always absolutely nails the ideas I bring in, is so efficient in how she works, and is consistent which I find so important. She is constantly furthering her education and trying new designs so I never feel nervous to ask for something unique. You’re missing out if she isn’t doing your nails for you!

m k jackie is my girl. she always does an amazing job and takes her time to perfect her work. plus, she’s so fun to talk to. as for the shop, it is clean and everyone is nice. great vibes. elegant shop. always free parking. apple pay and credit card is accepted.

Maryam Attarpour A clean and nicely decorated spot. I was able to get an appointment on the same day, and that was a relief because my toenails needed help. The overall experience was good, but I was very uncomfortable because my gel manicure and pedicure were being done simultaneously, so I had to contort in my seat to accommodate. I also noticed two of cuticles were cut during the manicure. The loss of one star is because of the discomfort, cuts, and that the gel pedicure was an additional $16 add on to my pedicure price, which I wasn’t aware of. I also have a pet peeve about places that charge you extra for using a card, and only accept tips in cash. Overall, a good spot, but could improve these aspects of their business. They also do have a great polish color selection.

Tu N I loved my pampering experience here! I went in for a fill and she did an amazing job, got the shape I wanted and paint flawlessly. It going on two weeks since I been there and my nails still looks great, I can’t stop looking at it! If you are looking for a salon this is it, look no further!

Latasha anderson I had to make this post before I even left the parking lot. The $150 I spent on my nails and toes were wasted. I finally found an image of the nails I wanted and showed the young lady- she then got an attitude and started speaking her native language and started laughing with everyone else when I didn’t like the initial PURPLE color she put on my nails. Another lady stepped in to try and assist in creating the cat eye design I wanted and at that point I was over it so I just said ok. The nasty attitude girl then finished my nails while I was still in the pedicure bowl, handed me my shoes (I put them back on myself- which they normally do for paying nail customers) THEN PROCEEDED TO STAND BEHIND ME AS I PUT THEM ON AND PUSHED TWO CARTS AND THE CHAIR SHE WAS SITTING IN OUT OF THE WAY JUST FOR ME TO GET TO THE COUNTER AND PAY. Her attitude was insane. Everyone else kinda laughed and joked saying let her out which I found extremely disrespectful as a black woman meanwhile there are 10 other people in the business getting serviced with the kindest interactions possible. Will NEVER set foot back into this disrespectful shop. Go somewhere else. They talked mess about me, laughed at me and then did a terrible job on my nails!!!!!!!!! I attached the Pinterest image I showed her and the image of the actual nails I got today.

Kelsey McKinney I love lavender nail lounge. I’ve been coming consistently for a while and no matter who does my nails they do an amazing job. The salon is clean, and everyone is very friendly! I always receive so many compliments on my nails. You won’t be disappointed.

Cassandra Rae Escobar Cute place with very nice people ❤️ they do a warm massage oil, hot towels, scrubs and color for 36 bucks and are so detail oriented. Really take their time. I will be back for sure!

Kelly Glover Needed a last minute set for photos. I was able to book same day and worked with Tina. She blew it out of the water… it looks just like the inspiration photo! She even let me know when the product I wanted was not going to be able achieve the look I wanted and offered a great alternative to make sure they looked perfect. It was a bit expensive, but I guess everything is these days :/. My pedicure was also handled well, the polish is very smooth!

Crystal Carter The lady was really nice but after leaving, I noticed these horrible gaps between my nail and cuticle on both hands and the polish is all over my skin. Unfortunately, I am on vacation and biked 2 1/2 miles to get there and was already back before I really looked at them.

Savannah Delaney I wish I could leave 10 stars. Natalie did my nails better than I could have ever imagined. They’re so beautiful. I came in with a difficult design and she knocked it out of the park!!! I decided to get a 30 min massage while I was there - WOW. I feel amazing. Yen is a great masseuse she did a phenomenal job. I left so happy and feeling AMAZING!!! Thank you ladies!!! ❤️

Ally Kennedy Blue Ocean nail spa is the best. I have been coming to this nail salon for years and I still I drive all the way down here from caramel Mountain Ranch. I will drive multiple times in a single week to get my nails and my lashes done because they do a better job here than anywhere else that I’ve ever gone for either service. I’ve had most of the ladies have done my pedicure, and they do an incredible job and I always go to Natalie for my full set, refill, and eyelash. I would fly across the country for Natalie to do my nails and eyelashes and I’m not even joking when I say that. I don’t mind sitting in traffic and driving up to an hour to come to this nail salon because they are the best and I never want to go anywhere else. Highly recommend. Staff is also very nice and customer service is extraordinary.

Tatem Chase While this was my first time at this salon, I did not have the greatest experience. The man who did my nails was very aggressive & seemed to only get worse because I asked him to be a little gentler. I was uncomfortable & could not get the true salon experience of being able to relax due to this. Also, I wanted short almond due to my work and he told me to get square because short almond is too hard to do. He did end up still doing them how I wanted and they turned out okay which is why I give them a 3 star review. They also only accept cash to which you have to use their atm and it is not disclosed at the beginning. However, there is a small sign for it in the salon.

Crystal Purvis The lady did my full set today and I was impress from beginning to end. She you gained satisfied customer. I was a little nervous with color I picked, however got compliments right away. Love All!!

I’ve had a really positive experience with everyone there and it’s clear how much they care about their clients and the work they’re doing. my nails have never been so well looked after.

Alex Zer0 Staff is nice. Service times are long. Booked a shellac mani pedi and the whole point of CND shellac is you don’t have to rough or thin the nail to apply polish and they did it anyways. The CND nail lamp comes with an instruction guide that says this. They also didn’t cap the tips of my nails so day 2 of a manicure that should last weeks I already have chipping. They are no longer a plant store and need to update their website. The bathroom needs cleaned and dusted. The staff asked several times if I was happy with the work, and I made some adjustments but it’s still not great. I should have told her to apply the French tip wider because 2 days in it looks grown out donuts not going to age well which was the whole point of a natural looking manicure. And I had mentioned to her after she did my hands about how shellac doesn’t need damaging nail techniques to apply it and she did it again on my toes. Look I’m not going to argue with you I just won’t come back. Especially considering your website raves about non damaging nail care. I felt like it was a waste of 3 hours and $150

Idelle Delapena Wow! What an experience today at Kali Zoi! I am such a happy and feeling beautiful camper! This was my second time at Kali Zoi and I am so happy I came back! I found Kali Zoi through the CND website. From my eczema, I get allergic to other gel nail polishes so I did research and found out that CND Shellac is one of the only possibly only non toxic gel polishes out there. I did a search through the CND website and found that Kali Zoi has their products! I live in PQ so it is a 20 minute drive to Normal Heights but I will be making this drive regularly to see this salon! Today, I had Rorey and Camila soaked my nails. It was difficult to remove my last manicure because it wasnt fully CND Shellac but Rorey and Camila did it with such grace. Im used to the hustle and bustle of the typical nail salon but I enjoyed the luxury and extra attention of Rorey at Kali Zoi. Its a natural nail salon so they do waterless pedicures and dont use nasty ingredients and everything helps the nails and environment. Rorey did an amazing job cleaning and filing my nails and getting the perfect almond shape which makes my stubby fingers look long and elegant. She took the time to paint my nails well and she even confessed shes a perfectionist which I secretly loved. I had Priscilla the first time and she was great as well! She is so friendly and nice. As you can see from my pictures the place is decorated so nicely and it is definitely artistic and a vibe of Normal Heights. I bought an Affirmators Love deck from them last time and love using it! If you want a natural gel manicure thats non toxic to your body and the environment definitely check this place out! CND shellac is by far the best gel polish Ive used and Ive been getting my nails done for 20 years. Thanks Kali Zoi and Rorey! Keep up the good work and Ill see you soon!

Melissa Pommier I just moved to San Diego from the Midwest and was super nervous finding a salon to help me out! I had dip nails that were in desperate need of removal. I actually showed up a bit early and they took me right away! (I believe her name is Alexa) Shestarted the process of removing the dip, taking care to make sure they didn’t take too much so my natural nail underneath could stay intact. All so she could get me ready for Rorey! Once done, they were super helpful in helping me choose colors. I couldn’t make up my mind so Rorey brought a few and tested them on my nails, which I appreciated! She did my French manicure (I wanted something simple and elegant that wouldn’t look obvious with grow out) and we used shellac polish! I loved how my nails turned out, super happy with how they took care of me and I will 100% be back! If you’re looking for a salon that listens to you, accommodates you, and makes you feel comfortable,please give Kali Zoi Nail your business! So thankful I found them!

El Moondragon Yesterday I came in to get a manicure and I can say I will never come back. When asked what kind of manicure I wanted I said “just a regular with gel”. When the tech was cutting my cuticles she ripped a big piece of skin off. Her apology to me was “Oh sorry. You have a lot of skin.” And moved on like nothing happened. After I picked my color out she began to pain my nails and then randomly said “This is regular polish. You asked for regular. If it chips tomorrow, you asked for regular.” When I told her that a I wanted gel, she continued to paint my nails and respond “No you asked for regular.” Now my nails are chipping and my finger is infected. -10 out of 10. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Alessandra Recht I’ve been coming here for years and get an acrylic overlay manicure from Ming and Yen for my pedicures. They never disappoint! My design requests are not simple and Ming always makes my nails look fabulous!

Patrick McElroy This is something I wouldn’t just go out and do on my own and I have very limited experience with pedicures or manicures, however it’s something my girlfriend enjoys taking me to. I’ve been here twice now and both times the service has been top notch. The techs are kind and polite. 6 star customer service on a 5 star scale. The atmosphere is pleasant and the salon is very clean. I will continue coming here once a quarter.

I’ve been there many times over the last few years and am always impressed with how good my nails look afterwards.The salon is always clean, the staff are friendly, and on they always accept walk-ins. Today, Lynn did a fabulous job evening out and shaping my super short nails without cutting them.

Gabriela Mendes I just had the worst experience of my life. I had a pedicure appointment ( that it was awesome) but unfortunately I also had a gel manicure service that it was terrible. The quality of the service it was awful. My nails looked like a one month growing up nail. My cuticles were 90% still on my fingers and the color started almost in the middle of the finger. And besides that, the color was super thick. I will be traveling tomorrow and I thought I was going to have a good nails for my trip but it was so bad that went back and asked to be removed from my finger and now I’ll do by myself at home. It’s a place that I won’t recommend and won’t be going back. It wasn’t worth almost $40 for this kind of service.

Eleonora Milo The older lady that did these nails was horrible and took forever. We begged her to clean the old nail polish off and she left the black all under her nails saying it was “too strong” to get off when that’s her literal job, we even offered to pay more just so it would be cleaner. It was so messy the pictures speak for themselves, we could’ve done a better job without paying over 50 dollars. When we complained the manager was completely unhelpful and rude and denied how bad they look trying to make up excuses and didn’t care. She would only reimburse half of the service and she wrote down our debit card number saying she will “call tomorrow “ to have us refunded which is very shady and suspicious. Overall horrible customer service and skill and that old lady just needs to be fired because other workers there like May are very good.

Maureen Sandt I absolutely love Hi Nails! The nail technicians are so friendly and attentive, always prioritizing the customer’s preferences. Lyhn does a fantastic job with my acrylic nails, and Lee gives an amazing pedicure. That said, all of their technicians are highly skilled and do excellent work. The shop is spotless and well-maintained. I’ve been a loyal customer for three years and plan to keep coming back for many more!

Zoe Miller I absolutely love this place! I used to get my nails done every once in a blue moon, but I have been getting them done 4 months in a row now because it’s just so good! The gel they use doesn’t peel up at the bottom (even after 4 weeks) and it is very strong so it doesn’t chip. Also, all the nail techs pay lots of attention and care when doing your nails. The prices are very fair, I usually pay around $50-60 after tip for a gel manicure with removal of the old gel, cuticle care, and a short hand/arm massage. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

I plan on bringing my bridal party here to get some pampering done the day before!! I have been coming here since it opened and I would never go to another nail salon ever again!!

Susanne Yao I love this place. It’s so amazing. They got rid of my in grown nail on my toes. We brought my friend’s son. And he loved the massage chairs, it was very quick for him. For my older daughter and she loved the people, and for my younger daughter liked how gentle they were with her feet and hands. Overall I think that this place is amazing for the tv screen to watch something while my pedicure and manicure. and the music is great

What made it even more special was that they also do kids’ nails! My daughter had the best time picking out her color, and she absolutely loved her blue nails. Sarah A. This is a no frills salon that does the job! I was in the area looking for a quick pedicure and color change to my gel manicure and found this place on Google Maps. I was able to walk in without an appointment and got my nails done by Helen. She was super kind and easy to chat with. She did both my hands and my feet. I took one star off due to lack of decor/ambience. The salon is very clean but there is very little decor. It feels very empty inside. I think they could definitely work on making the salon more inviting in terms of decor. Overall, they do a great job and are very friendly. I would definitely come back.

Perla Santamaria I went to get my nails fixed with Tania after I got a bad gelish job somewhere else. Tania was very meticulous and professional working with my nails, they looked like new in less than 1 hour. I highly recommend this place!

After extensively reading through reviews, I chose Nail’s Paradise and Spa and was not disappointed! Tanya was very detailed, kind and asked several times throughout my appointment if my nails looked okay, which I really appreciated. This would be my go-to if I lived in San Diego! They do lovely work and are always open to the Pinterest inspo I bring in :) I can come in and close my eyes and relax and I always feel confident they will do a great job; and they always do! Elaine Erson My first visit was at the recommendation of a friend. Boy, did this deliver. I wanted a simple pedicure and manicure with no polish. I was a little concerned because I had a nail very damaged in hiking, and I didnt want more trauma. Kayla did my fingernails, Mimi did my more challenging toenails. I could not be more pleased with how they perfectly carried out my requests and were so gentle w my 70+ year skin. I will definitely return and highly recommend these two women.

Riley Ashley I have been coming to this nail salon for 3 years and every time I leave happy. Ben takes my design ideas and matches them perfectly or makes them better. He watched tutorial videos before my appointment to learn how to do the Hawaiian flowers I wanted lol. Plus I’m always picky about my French tips and he will wipe them off and start over if I’m not happy. I used to stay quiet at other nail salons and go home and cry over the imperfections. Ben makes me feel like I can speak up because he is a perfectionist too.

Charity Christie-Foster I am so pleased! Both of my nail technicians were so attentive to detail and made my nails look great! They spent a lot of time on them and didn’t rush at all, which made me feel very taken care of. It’s a little on the expensive side, but for the great service and results, it’s worth it! I will definitely be coming back here.

Gillian McDivitt May is wonderful! She always takes care of me and puts in the extra effort and detail on my nails. I work a job that is rough on my hands and since I’ve started coming to May my manicures last longer. No breaks, no lifting. I will come back to May for as long as I can!

Stephanie Nguyen My favorite nail salon! I’ve tried quite a few places but I can safely say this is the one I always go back to. Nice, clean place with very friendly staff. I never request anyone because anyone I’ve ever gotten has done a great job on my nails. I’ve gone to places with bad cuticle cuts or my polish chipping off a day later but I have consistently gotten great service here every time. I don’t live nearby this place anymore but I will make the extra drive to see them. Lots of different color options and lots of varying services for your manicure and pedicure needs. Give them a try, they won’t disappoint

Lorelei Bruce Lee did my gel manicure with design and was meticulous about getting good shape and the design I asked for. He provided me gloves to protect my skin from the gel lights which I thought was a great touch! Tammy gave me a great, and relaxing pedicure with massage. I just moved into the area and will be back. (I’ve been moving, so the condition of my skin is my fault!) Italy Nails offers a variety of drinks to relax with while you get pampered!

Kiki King This place is absolutely amazing! Bruce Lee has been doing my nails for the last couple months but he really outdid himself this time. If you are looking for someone who can do designs this is your place, Bruce is a true artist!

Heather Vasquez I am in the area visits for a couple of days, passed by the salon and just dropped in. They were quick to accommodate a walk in and did not fail to impress. Bruce Lee was great! Very personable, kind and talented! Thank you for my French gel manicure! He offered me gloves to protect my hands from the UV and that was a first EVER in over 20 year getting my nails done. Thank you!

Bethany Thomas Tammy was very friendly & did a beautiful job on my mani! Especially enjoyed the hand/arm massage. Update: My only complaint is that when doing my cuticles she pushed down so hard I started bleeding. Woke up the next day & my fingernail is bruised.

Brittany West Tracy did an amazing job on my nails! Just what I asked for. She was checking in with me during the whole process to make sure I was happy. She does quality work in a fast manner. Couldnt be happier with how they turned out. Seven also did an amazing job on my pedicure. Great leg massage!! The receptionist is also the sweetest person ever. She checked on us multiple times to see if we wanted another drink. I absolutely recommend this place. I wont get my nails done anywhere else! The price includes 2 gel pedicures, 2 gel manicures, and gel X extensions.

Hannah Wilder Philip did a great job on my pedicure. I got the deluxe. The polish has lasted over one week and my feet still feel incredibly soft. He was kind and funny. The other staff were helpful and attentive too. We had champagne so that made it more expensive than I anticipated but it was worth it. I appreciated the excellent customer service and friendliness and good atmosphere. And high quality workmanship. I highly recommend.

Kimberley Jwa They’re super nice but unfortunately my gel manicure chipped super quickly. I got my manicure done on Friday only to have my thumb nail chip by Monday. Again were really nice and willing to repaint the nail as is their policy but I went to repaint my chipped nail and it chipped again the day after. I only washed my hands, nothing strenuous or labor intensive on the hands. For over 80 dollars I would’ve hoped it lasted more than a day. I think there’s a chance it might not be gel since my gel manicure from a previous salon lasted over a month without chipping. Unfortunately I am out of town and won’t be able to get my manicure fixed again but don’t think that would fix the issue. Maybe for acrylics or other services it would be more durable.

I came last minute on thanksgiving day which would’ve really frustrated many but he gave me nothing but smiles while doing my nails! Love it. Ambiance of the place is amazing as well.

Samantha McCoy I found Kensington Nails and Spa during the 2020 pandemic when everything was shut down but were allowed to operate outside. I could not find a nail salon anywhere that was open other than here. It had great reviews so I took a chance and the rest is history. I met the owner Kate when I first went and I just loved her efficiency, sense of humor, and overall professionalism. I have gone through most of the nail techs at the salon and theyre all great. However, I stick with Tiffany when I go now. I do acrylic sets and gel pedicures and they are always long-lasting and stunning. They also offer complimentary drinks like water, orange juice, etc. They accept cards, but also have an ATM, and some techs accept Venmo if needed. The bathroom is also impeccable and Im comfortable to use it whenever I need to.

It’s essential to find the right professionals, and I have had the pleasure of receiving exceptional service from both of them! Kathleen excels in manicures, while Vinny is outstanding for pedicures; its clear that they are both passionate about their work and highly skilled.

Diana Paloma Fantastic experience. Highly recommend. I walked over while getting my car serviced at the Volvo dealer. What an amazing find. The owner Viet welcomed me as I entered. The nail spa is peaceful, super clean and airy. Emmy gave me an amazing pedicure and manicure that was so relaxing. They pay close attention to detail providing the total spa experience. The hot steamy towels on the feet and legs and a special massage with cbd cream made me feel like I was on vacation. They also use quality products. Viet does flawless French nails. They even had a special nail dryer for the natural nail manicure. They are very gracious and offer you alkaline water and Vietnamese coffee. Viet brought me a Vietnamese coffee with whipped cream. It tasted like a special dessert. Just overall wonderful experience with very kind, caring people who take pride in their work.

Isabella Purnell Cleanliness is my TOP priority in seeking a nail spa!!! I’d highly recommend Euro Nail Spa just for the exceptional cleanliness alone. Though that was just the beginning…Viet was polite and professional as he gave me a wonderful mani while Emmy was thorough and caring with my mud-bath spa pedi!!! Misty Mariano I came by this location since I work in the area and needed to get my nails done. I found them on Google and decided to come here! Kimmy was my nail artist and she was happy to make my color vision come alive, she was also very transparent with pricing which was greatly appreciated! I’ve been to other places and they just tell you after the service was done. Cash is king so if you come here, be sure to bring cash. If you ever have a question about something, they’re very friendly, so don’t be shy.

Maris м I came here for the first time, I was looking for a regular manicurist nearby. Before that I read the reviews, there were a lot of positive ones, so I decided to come in. Manicure was done by a man, removal of the old coating was quick, then he immediately started the coating, until I stopped him and asked him to cut the cuticle, he cut from the top, after he saw that I was looking at the nails, he started to push back the cuticle and cut normally. He applied the coating with splotches and drips, trying to fix with more coats of varnish, but it didnt work. Tried to use two colors, but that didnt help either. I asked him to fix it, but it felt like he didnt understand what to do or how to do it. We ended up changing the color to a different color, but the same story happened again. I didnt say anything, I just wanted to leave. At the cash register, I paid without leaving a tip, as I believe that for such work to leave a tip is not worth it. My nails look worse than the ones I came in with originally. Severely over-sawn, drops of nail polish and different shapes. Its a shame for the time spent. Not recommended. Ilsa C I am from out of town and was hoping to find a good nail salon to fix my builder gel manicure that had gotten pretty rough. I came into Downtown Nail Salon and was given the fastest and best gel fill I’ve ever gotten. Anh was so sweet and did an amazing job, I cannot recommend her enough! As I type this I came back in the next day to get a pedicure I was so happy with my manicure!

Patricia Reed I am very appreciative of this shop. It took me awhile to find a place in the city that actually did good quality nails. They are fast with the services and still manage to give me acrylic nails that last. I can actually go a solid month with no lifting or breakage. I recommend calling and making an appointment as something they get very busy.

Jasmine Lee Be careful who you go to for nail art. I made an appointment with Jenny (per suggestion from a friend), didnt get her to do my nails for some reason, got them done by some other random person. Once he started I knew it wasnt going to be done like I wanted and its my fault for not stopping at the beginning. I was trying to trust the process. The nails are lumpy, the color and gel go onto my finger, they are super chunky, its just not good. My fingers actually look fatter. Honestly, you can just tell that the art of doing nails doesnt matter here(the person that did my nails at least). I have had my nails done by people who really like doing nails and that was not the case here. So again...if you want NAIL ART, dont come here unless you KNOW the person. If you just want a pedicure with your nails painted...sure, why not. Pop in.
