Jaclyn Copeland They usually do a good job. My last visit was rough. Cold water in pedi, cold water in mani bowl, waited 20 minutes with an apt for someone to start my pedi. When they cut my toenails she tapped the cutters and SOMEONE ELSES nail came out! Mine were not that long ever. Then the file fell on the floor and she picked it up and kept using it! Made me feel all things were dirty.

I came in wanting a jelly-colored gel manicure, and he suggested adding chrome. Let me tell you, it was a game-changer! The color turned out absolutely stunning, and the shape of my nails is perfect. Fallon Epstein Tony is the best there is in the Westlake/Thousand Oaks area! Unlike past experiences I’ve had he actually listens and tries to do the styles I ask for. The salon is beautiful and welcoming. Thankful I found him and will continue to go!

fernanda f I love this new location in Oak Park! It’s super clean and great and they have Supreme polish from dazzle that is amazing! Same benefits of gel manicure but without the gel. It’s a regular polish that lasts two weeks or more and it removes like regular polish! And No drying time!

Kelly ORegan The strongest and longest my nails have ever been! Have been going to see Mia now for about 7 months for bio gel mani’s. She’s an artist, so meticulous and careful. I’m always happy with the outcome and last 4 weeks+ between visits. I’ve never had a chip, break or lifting polish! Bio gel is the way to go.

There were others there that were regulars and they were sent off with a hug by the owner. My bio gel manicure and gel pedicure turned out very cute and I’m so happy with their work and attention to detail. The massage in my pedicure was better than I’ve had in a long time.

Missy Garapedian Mia is the absolute best! I love coming to Bio Nail Spa. They always treat me like a princess. Mia gives the best manicures ever. My gels last 5 weeks easily. Mia is so nice and beyond kind. Highly recommend Mia at Bio Nail!

katie long They were friendly for the most part but I was very disappointed by the time I was nearly finished and knew I was not coming back. I took my 9 year old niece and I got a gel mani/pedi and my niece was only getting a gel pedicure as I told them she could not get a manicure because of ballet. They allowed my niece who is just a kid to agree to a clear manicure and charged me for it despite me saying no manicure for her. As for me, my hands look ok with some mistakes that is not worth the huge cost. However my toes look incredibly messy and my big toe was dug into cutting way too much cuticle off I was actually pulling away to get the tech to stop. I also received a 2 minute massage only despite the large cost. 2 days later my toe around the nail is super red and hurts. On top of that, I watched them harassing people for tip and heard the other clients complaining about the overcharges while I was still being serviced so I felt obligated to tip on this service I did not enjoy and was overcharged. I always tip 20% for service but this did not feel right. I paid the ridiculous $170 for us 2 and tipped and left because the argument was not worth the headache.

esther good I’ve been having my hair done by Mandy for many years. Always the best cut, color and Brazilian blow out! She’s very flexible with appointments. Very fair price for such high quality work. I scheduled my appointments a year in advance just to make sure I’m in the queue.

Linda White Mandy is a hairdresser at Fancy Nails and Hair. She is awesome. She has a way with cuts and color that makes you feel amazing. I have fine, thin hair. When I leave her, I feel as though I have so much hair I can actually style it!

Lynn Daykin Over the years Ive tried numerous nail places but this is by far the best and I wont go anywhere else. Helena does a fantastic mani-pedi. She really takes her time and NEVER asks you buy extras such as flowers on nails... callous remover... hot oil, or paraffin wax treatment etc. etc. like most other places Ive been to. Its a small, very relaxing place with only two technicians. I also love that it never has that awful chemical smell like most other nail shops.

Nik Hods Dont use this place. They tell you one price and once youre halfway through your hair cut and style they change the price on you and then their card machine doesnt work and they charge you a fee for it. Warning warning do not use do not use go somewhere else or do it yourself. For the price they charge you could do it 50 times at home

Hannah Stordeur While all the nail techs here are talented, Rose especially does fantastic work. I trust her to keep my nails natural looking and not glob on acrylic or gel polish like so many salons do. Prices are reasonable and the environment is nice. Bit of a hidden gem here in Newbury Park!

Most the reviews are old...this is 9 29 2023 ...had to redo my paint on my feet got agitated that I brought my own supplies( but I dont know how I got my infection on my finger) lady doing my hands her nails were disgusting and she was using her nails to wipe off the over polish....so, not a good time. I tried them before but will definitely not be back. Note . Use a brush not your nails...thats hasty And not ALL people like the tv gossip shows....play music! To please ALL your customers

Justine Sutton I went here yesterday and the nail tech gouged my cuticle. It was bleeding and painful I was visibly uncomfortable and she showed no reaction. The neighboring tech who spoke English told me she would put antiseptic on it and nobody apologized or did anything to show they were sorry nor appreciative for my business after when I paid full for service and tip. I even asked for ice or cold water because it was throbbing and was ignored (my nail tech didn’t speak English but kept nodding her head like she understood me instead of asking for someone to help translate). I rarely leave reviews but i just want people to be aware of the crappy customer service.

J R The bad reviews are true! Im so disappointed in this place. The man who books appointments is not considerate of your time. He books the appointment and and every time I come in (on time) the nail technician is running 30 minutes behind! This has happened to me 5 times in a row so there is no excuse for running late constantly. Im out of patience . Today I called to confirm the time and he told me the tech was on time and I still waited 30 minutes! They should be more respectful of your time and let you know the technician is running late so you dont rush over just to sit there. The nail technician (I wont mention her name has a bad attitude for not reason. Im spending over $50 for a nail fill and they should be grateful for my business. Instead they treat you like they hate their job and have a bad attitude! It must be the work environment and management because these ladies have bad energy and seem angry. There are many nice nail salons in Conejo Valley so you would think they would respectful and appreciate their clients more. I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years and I would never treat a client that way! I will not return and I wonder how they even stay in business! All of you ladies going there deserve better service than this place!

T E Review for LOGI: Made an appointment for gel-x fill. I made sure that they offered it got there and she tried to do a bait and switch and put biogel. I said I did not want Biogel but she gave me no other option and just put gel polish on. When I left she told me that it was very weak and for sure it was going to break but yet offered nothing and still ask me for money so she got no tip and I will never be coming back here. The worst customer service ever at a nail shop!

M. Kate Park It seems like customers are treated well only if they spend at least $50. I went for just a manicure and the technician literally pushed me out the door without drying my nails. Despite me trying to be careful not to ruin my nails (not even attempting to put on my seatbelt) I failed miserably with gearshift from park to reverse. Capri nail people gave me a dirty look when I went back in to get my thumb nail repainted and asked to get all my nails dried with a fan. I will not be going back.

Debbie Stein I went in today at 1 o’clock for a walk-in pedicure ended up getting my manicure. The two girls that We’re working on me were amazing very keen to detail and very polite I had an ingrown that was cutting into my skin and they took it out and they were very sensitive to the pain that I have. I did schedule an appointment to go back in three weeks. They were also very quick. I was done within about an hour for a gel X manicure and pedicure. I will continue to come here thank you girls.

Dianna Davis As a Hispanic woman, I first would like to preface that I really hope this Latina-owned business will thrive; however, in order to do so, they need to figure out their schedules, improve their efficiency, and continue working on their craft. I scheduled 10 am appointments for both my mother-in-law and me. We were there at 10 and a nail tech became available a few minutes after 10, which is no big deal. I told my MIL to go first. I did not get taken until 10:48. Originally I wanted biogel with ombré French nails with some glitter and snowflakes. I left with French tips. Unfortunately my nail tech was not able to do ombré French—I understand everyone is working on their skills. But it was 12:00 pm when she finally finished the French tips. I told her we didn’t need to proceed with the art work because I had to get going. With Christmas next week I was really looking forward to getting Xmas nails but since I wasn’t taken until 48 mins past the time I reserved, I didn’t have time to keep waiting. My nails were poorly filed and some nails were left slanted. After I got home I fixed them with my own nail file. What made the entire experience worse was that it was colder inside the salon than it was outside. It was incredibly uncomfortable. My fingers felt frozen. The biogel was clumping because it was so cold. My MIL and I could not wait to get back into the car. The entire time we were trying our best not to tremble. I feel that it should be noted how incredibly cold it was and they should consider running floor heaters. I’m sad that this wasn’t a better experience, especially because I do believe they all have a special talent, considering the posts I’ve seen on Instagram.

They really took the time to make sure my previous nails were removed properly and made sure to be extra careful with my new nail set as I am very sensitive. I tried Apres Gel x for the first time, and was pleased with the results. Great customer service! I was able an appointment just before the holidays. Highly recommend stopping by! I will certainly be coming back!

the Baraness I’m a local patronizing this salon through the past two ownerships. It keeps getting better! Crystal and Shay are rockstars who can create any style and any design to perfection. I had a nail emergency and Shay repaired it and I was able to keep my natural nail. They both work tirelessly to satisfy their clientele and are hospitable to my toddler, no matter how rowdy she can be! Polishd is my second home away from home. I receive multiple compliments on my gel manicures and the intricacy or design is top notch!

T Vuong Im glad this place is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! I used to love ProfessioNail and now I love to come here again! Very convenient location, close to Starbucks and Sharkys. Friendly people and they do a great job! I get Gel because it lasts long and keeps my nails looking fabulous for more than a day. Jessica, the nail tech, is the best at what she does. SHe is very experienced. I love the way she massages. Overall experience at Professional nails was awesome! My nails are still healthy and look beautiful! I will definitely come back. It can be a little pricey if you compared to regular nails but if you think about it, the nails last and if it were regular nail polish, I would probably have to touch it up or take it off after a week so the price is very reasonable compares to other places nearby. Yes ProfessioNail, I will be back !!!!!!

A Rose I am looking for a new place to get my once a month pedi done. Because I am new to the area I figured I would give this place a try since it is close to home. Everyone was very nice, but I did not have a good experience. I was the only client in the facility and felt my pedi was very rushed. I was in/out in 20 minutes tops. While again very nice, the gentleman doing my pedi was rough and did cut one of my toes. The water in the spa was luke-warm and I was not offered any callus removal. He did a quick scrub and that was it. While the polish looked nice, my feet (callus/dry skin) still appeared the same as when I walked in as to when I left. Overall, it was disappointing and I will not be returning.

Misty Miller New to the area and want to find a good place. I schedule an appointment and ask for the deluxe pedicure, which is $65 and for a set of nails I got the gel x and gel pedicure walked out with $170 bill. The nails are good. I like them, however, then $90 pedicure is insane and I did not get what the $65 pedicure offers. I didn’t get the neck towel and the massage was maybe two or three minutes if you can even call it a massage at all. the hot stones was less than a minute and was included in a massage. definitely not worth $90. I’m not sure what the going rate for a typical gel X with design but 90 did seem reasonable for the nails. But For the pedicure that’s a way no go no way will ever pay $90 again for not getting half of what you’re supposed to.

Edith Sanamyan Quality work, my biogel does not crack, or fade. My nails are stronger and they grow longer without braking. I wish pedicure was done with a little more care. It seems some of the ladies rush through and it takes the relaxation away. Also my toe nails are discolored and their explanation is; it is from the nail polish. Ben does amazing manicure. He will do any design you show him!❤️

Yasi Alaee I’ve never been anywhere that mess up my pedicure. I did a shimmer white and tried not to choose an Esse so it’s not thin and they still didn’t do a great job on my polish. My manicure doesn’t look great either. I honestly could have done a better job myself. I went to this place based on the good reviews however I got quite disappointed.

Madeline Jones-Franconi I came into town for a wedding and only had one hour to get my nails done this morning. I came here because the salon looked clean and client pictures looked good in the reviews. I told them I only had an hour to get a full set and pedicure and they said they could do them at the same time. They did an AMAZING job on my nails and had me in and out in 45 minutes. They were very nice and gentle and accommodating and the salon is very clean. Really happy I found this salon! Highly recommend

She was able to work with my short nail beds and successfully attach gel adhered nail tips. Ive provided before and after pictures. Thank you so much Bao for helping me address my nail biting issues and prepare for my interview (it went great by the way!)! Not to mention, I loved our conversations about the general want to help people. Thank you for helping me! Keep being you! Update: My nails stayed on for nearly a month! I also have eczema, so I tend to scratch. Additonally, I do yard and farm work. Even with that amount of consistent pressure on my nails, they still lasted!

Caroline G. Ok, this place is the real deal. I used to go to the same manicure for years but I moved recently and Ive been having a hard time trying to find a nail salon that is worth it. I like nail designs and for about 3 months I tried multiple places and didnt like any of them. I decided to give it a shot at Westlake Nail Bar since is basically across the street from my work and I am glad I did. Kathy is so professional, so sweet and so incredibly good! I was gladly surprised when I showed her a complicated design and she said "oh yeah, I can do that" but I was also skeptical. She did it better than in the picture I showed her from Pinterest! My best friend picked that same design for herself but she went to a different place and it didnt look nearly as good as mine. If you are reading this trying to make up your mind if you should try just do yourself a favor and get an appointment with Kathy. Shes your girl.

A Sil Julia has been doing my nails for 2 yrs and I cannot go anywhere else. My nails are so healthy and beautiful ever since I started getting Russian manicures. I have followed her around the Thousand Oaks/Westlake area, because its truly the best manicure you will ever have. The quality of work is beyond anything Ive ever seen or experienced. A manicure that lasts for 4 + weeks! They are precise, detail oriented technicians. It is worth every dollar. I have received numerous compliments on my nails and many people inquiring where I get them done at, Juti Nails Note they are longer manicures than what youre probably used to, typically running 1.5hr or more. Bring your headphones and watch a show or listen to a podcast.

Yaryna Tomashchuk I have been going to Julia for years for my nails. She always does such an amazing job and my nails are always flawless! I am constantly getting compliments. She specialized in Russian manicure technique - it takes more time but it’s so worth it. I used to get them done every two weeks and i’d spend more $. My nails last 4 weeks with Julia and I end up saving money. Highly recommend!

Christina Povolotsky Id love to start out to say that yes, they do a good job on the manicures. However, the 2 stars reflects the price increase without warning. They hire girls with NO prior experience and jump them to TOP masters within 3 months. I booked an appointment for a $90 gel manicure and the next time I came to see the same girl they increased her price to $110 without any warning. The girl who did my nails is great, but beware that you will see a price increase with absolutely no warning. OH and as a bonus they charge a fee to use ANY kind of credit and debit card. For $114 + tips you are better off getting it elsewhere especially when it takes only 3-4 months of experience to considered a top master.

The lady helping me is on the phone with an internet company another person is ordering pizza. This place sucks. Id leave but I like massage chairs, and need my nails done. First timeIi was a "walk in" so I tried to be patient and second time I had an appointment and couldnt go somewhere else because I had a black tie event that night and was running out of time! Rachel Adams Very nice people, but very poor job doing gel nail fill… the guy just laid the gel over and didn’t shape or file it and told me he was done. After I mentioned that the gel is on my cuticles and sides of my fingers, he then cuts the gel off to shape them (this is after polish). Then I asked him why he didn’t file them, and then he tried to file afterward. I still have all the gel on my cuticles and the nails are not shaped - just looks like melted fake nails on my nail beds. Really disappointing- especially for the high pricing. I won’t be coming back here.

Alexis DiMuro My roommate and I come here every time we need our nails done. The whole staff is welcoming and efficient. We always get different designs and they never deny what we want. We always leave completely obsessed with our nails because of how amazing they look. It’s never too expensive either, it is very reasonable and cheap for the type of nails we get. My roommate and I will continue to come for as long as we can, so it’s definitely worth it! Anything you need, they will give it to you!

Ruby Gibson John, Tom, and Ben are the absolute best for all things nails! They make every inspo pic I have come true. John (and the rest of the staff) are so friendly and care about their clients. Cannot recommend Mink nails enough!
