Geena Solverson Rooted Beauty Collective is such a chic, modern twist on a salon. It is aesthetically pleasing, the stylists are all so friendly when you arrive - the overall vibe is just so relaxing! I especially love how they carry one of my favorite hair care lines - R&CO. It’s nice to have a local salon to pop into to stock up on great products. I have been seeing Rebecca Ward for over a decade now. She’s extremely talented, highly educated and in-the-know about what’s trending in today’s hair styles. 10/10 highly recommend!

Kimberly R. With platinum hair, its important to me to achieve this color with the least amount of damage possible. After 25+ years with the same hair stylist keeping me platinum (by bumping my roots with high lift tint and adding highlights) I had to find a new one. This was a challenge; I selected salons to consult with after being scheduled with a stylist they recommended who was very experienced in blonding. I scheduled consults with 5 salons that sounded most promising. After speaking with the stylists at 4 salons, they were either not familiar with using high lift or had heard of it and dont use it to blonde, choosing to use bleach/highlights instead. The 5th salon was familiar with it and said she could do what I wanted, but said she could get me as blonde as I wanted with highlights. Im aware I can achieve great color with highlights alone, but thats not what I want - I want my dark roots bumped a couple shades lighter with high lift tint plus highlights. I was discouraged, but to my good fortunate I was referred to JOLEEN DAVIS, owner of Roseville Hair Loft. I scheduled my 6th consult and met with her. Five minutes in, I knew she was the one I could trust with my hair. Shes not just familiar with high lift blonding, but shes very skilled at it. She was patient and listened to me intently and completely understood that I wanted the lightest hair possible, doing it as carefully as possible so my hair was subjected to the least amount of damage possible. I scheduled my first appointment and to say she nailed it is an understatement. Photos taken shortly thereafter. GO SEE JOLEEN DAVIS AT ROSEVILLE HAIR LOFT - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Cathy C Where to begin. My hair journey with Joleen began 23ish years ago. I moved to Sacramento and previously had the same hairstylist for as long as I could remember. Obviously, I wasn’t going to drive back home so I needed to find someone local. I met Joleen and decided to give her a try. I’ve never looked back since. She’s been with me through every up-and-down I’ve had with my hair, including health issues and stress issues and everything in between. She has brought my hair back to life through all of the things I’ve gone through these last two decades. I wouldn’t trust anyone else touching my hair except for her. She’s very deliberate and intentional with her recommendations she’s ever given me to make my hair better. When it fell out, she fixed it. When it broke, she fixed it. When I tried to make really bad decisions, she talked me out of it. She’s always listened and heard me, and maybe fought me a few times on what I wanted to do, but she’s always known what’s been best for my hair. I am 46 now and my hair has never looked better. I trust her immensely. I owe her so much and I’m so grateful that she’s been my hair genie and kept my hair looking the best it ever has and can. if you’re looking for somebody to listen and do what’s best for you, you need to go and see Joleen. Mahea Jimenez Janelle and Ava do a fantastic job! I always leave the salon with a huge smile and feeling so confident. Janelle has so much knowledge and gives me tips/suggestions based on my hair goals. I love to be blond and have seen her 3 times in the past two years and my hair has never been so healthy. In previous years of bleaching blond I had constant brass, very dry/brittle, and wouldn’t grow past my shoulders! I had to let my natural color grow out for two years just to get length. Since switching to Janelle, my hair has grown to my waist, it’s never brassy or faded and I have no breakage! So you know the products she’s using are long lasting/high quality. Modern Mane has such a light and friendly atmosphere, I always feel like Im just relaxing at home. I will be a loyal customer to this salon for years to come. Their professionalism, friendly demeanor, and talent make them top notch.

christy remi Where do I start !! Janelle is amazing to say the very least. I am so picky about my hair. I’ve been going to the same person for over 10 years and then when he moved away, I took my time to find someone new and I’m so glad I did found janelle through social media and loved her work. Then, I went in and got a blowout and I knew this was my new spot. Whatever your vibe is, she will match it. Sometimes I’m in a talkative mood sometimes I just got to get stuff done for work, so I’m on my laptop so is so chill she makes your appt so bomb. Her and her assistant Ava Who is also amazing is very hospitable. They have good snacks and great drinks. The salon is very clean and I love the decorating it’s like modern organic with a flare of Boho. Her extensions are quality and she does an amazing job matching to your hair. lythia foye First of all, the vibe in this salon is top tier. All of the girls are so extremely welcoming, it reminds me of being a little girl having a slumber party and doing each others hair when things were simply joyful. I always book with my girl Bianca, and WOW she is magic! Not only is she just the sweetest and so extremely talented, she truly uplifts everyone in her path. I absolutely love being in her chair. Nikki Hughed 100% Macey! My dark hair grows gray diamonds randomly so I wanted something easy to maintain. She took the time to walk me through several options and even sent me some example pictures. We decided to go with gray blending. My results were incredibly! Macey is wonderful!

Logan This place a very pretty giving a Victorian-esc theming. The employees welcomed me at the door and offered water or coffee. Everyone here is super positive and make it as welcoming as possible. Each cubicle felt like its own special and unique space with different decorations and design. It also smells nice I’m here with all the different sprays. It’s not too overwhelming and the waiting chairs are very comfortable. I had Sarah (I think, im bad with names) and she made sure to listen to my requests and gave suggestions on what she thinks looks good, but lets me have final say. She is great! Hope to come back here.

bianca I came in as a walk-in in hopes of getting a trim, and I was blessed to have Joselynn take me in super fast!! Luckily she had an opening and took me in right away, had a very relaxing hair-pampering session of a wash, trim and blowout which my hair came out looking refreshing and so much healthier than how it was when I walked in. I told her that I was nervous about getting a trim because my hair has a hard time getting long (and currently the hair I have now is medium length but the longest I had due to previous damage) and she made me feel at ease about the trim. it still looks long now after the appt and looks so shiny and healthy. also she gave me lots of good advice on how to maintain my hair health and preserve the length throughout the whole time. Definitely recommend getting an appointment with her!!

Her technique used for extensions yield movie star quality hair. My extensions look natural and they’re super easy to wear and do not weigh down my hair. Susan Fanetti Back during the lockdown, I shaved off long hair Id had for decades. While I love having very short hair and havent let it grow much since, Ive really struggled to find a stylist who works well with a really short cut and LISTENS TO ME. Over the years, Ive shaved my head multiple times immediately after getting a cut because Im so unhappy with it. And then, at last, I found Breanna. I love love LOVE the way she cuts my hair. She listens to and consults with me, and Im thrilled with the results. I cant recommend her enough!

Mara Files I just moved to the area, and wasnt sure where to start with finding a new hair stylist. Unfortunately, I got a bad haircut at the first place I chose. I called this salon afterwards, and they were able to work me in on the same day to fix my hair! My stylist was Megan Moreno, and she put so much attention to detail in making sure my hair was perfect. I have a pixie cut with naturally curly and thick hair, so a lot can go wrong if it isnt cut right. It really shows Megans skills to be able to correct a bad pixie cut and make it look amazing, very thankful to have found this place!

Megan was great, she listened to exactly what I wanted and thats what I got. She gave my color more dimension and it looks natural and beautiful. Catherine Fites Christy is a magician! I went in with partial grey grow out asking for a complete switch to grey to ease the transition and she did it in one session! No one else ever offered that option before. She is amazing. Be ready to pay for her experience and expertise, but it’s worth it!

Erin Montgomery Maddie is amazing! I went to The Standard this weekend for a Brazilian Blowout, and she took the best care of me and my hair. I love that the new BB formula does not have formaldehyde. Maddie was knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. I will definitely return to see her!

Rachel Valley Gloria is the bee’s knees. I come to her for IBE hand tied, luxury extensions. She really takes the time to get to know your hair and placement and the color is always custom and gorgeous. Super fun and friendly, she always makes you feel so great in the chair and when you leave. I have extremely fine and sparse hair and it is worth every penny. I have had many wonderful experiences with other stylists and they do a great job. I just always struggled to make my hair look as good as the day it was cut and colored. With the extensions it’s easy to have great hair everyday. I’m so glad to have found Artistic Hair Boutique!

She tailors the cut lines to each individual client and customizes color like an artist. Destiney tames my thick hair into manageable sleekness; now I actually wear it down instead of boring pony tails. Highly recommend! If you live in Sac town, go ahead and do the drive; it is worth it.

Kendell Blunden Rose has been my hairstylist for a long while now! She is one of the best people I know, and the only person that I let touch my hair. I travel to NorCal just for her to cut and color it. She always knows exactly what to do and offers ideas for fun change without any pressure! I dont want to brag, but my hair for my wedding was FLAWLESS. When I got engaged I knew I needed her to do my hair for my wedding! She helped me to make sure that my hair length would be where I wanted it to be and made sure to cut it early enough that it would still look healthy but not super short or anything. She had me find references of not only styles I might like, but also color wise how I wanted it to be. Rose always makes you feel great about yourself and your hair and my wedding day felt no different. It was so nice to be able to relax and know that nothing was going to go wrong with my hair. It was absolutely beautiful. She taught my maid of honor how to put my veil in and take it out without wrecking anything, too. My husband and I had a first look out in a windy meadow before our ceremony, and Rose met me at our venue to fix my hair again before the ceremony that way it would be flawless. I received so many compliments on how beautiful my hair looked and how much people loved the way it was put back. Rose stayed on schedule with ease in getting all six of my bridesmaids done, my dad, our officiant, our flower girl and myself done on time. If you need bridal hair I would 110% recommend Rose. And if you dont need bridal hair, but just regular hair, I would still 110% recommend Rose!

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Lou took the time to listen to my hair goals and made excellent recommendations based on my hair type and face shape. During the appointment, Lou was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every strand was perfectly cut and styled to my liking. She was also very personable, making the experience fun and enjoyable. Aside from Lous excellent service, the salon itself was also top-notch. It was clean, spacious, and had a relaxing ambiance that made me feel pampered and at ease. Amanda Lynn Shasta Vannatta does an absolutely amazing job and is a magician with scissors. Ive been going to her for years and this time I wanted to do something different. Cut a ton of hair off completely changed out the color and she did it perfectly. Showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made it happen. Not to mention this Salon is really cool inside. Its a great atmosphere and not the typical boring salon.

PJ OConnor Cool and laid back. Recently remodeled, the shop is brighter and sleek. Everyone is very friendly, as well as talented. Since Ive been seeing Amber, I regularly get compliments on my hair.

Emily V Aryn is really wonderful. My hair looks great and I’ve received a lot of compliments on how smoothly she blended the color in my hair. She also has given me an awesome bob haircut. She really knows what she’s doing.

Kelly Jensen I am so glad I found Jessica. Her knowledge and care around curly hair is amazing. I have so much thick and course hair with varying curl patterns, and she takes her time and does such an amazing job. Her skill with color and highlights is so professional as well! She listens to what you are hoping for and really comes through. My hair can take some hours, and conversation with her in that time is really easy and pleasant. I highly recommend her!

Heather Peters It took me too long to find this expert! You go in and Jessicas not juggling 2, 3, clients its your time and your time only. In addition to that, shes an expert when it comes to all different hair textures and ethnicities.. Shes a master at hair extensions, cut and color. The best part is shes a genuine, laid back and positive person... Drama free!!!! Its truly my favorite place to go...!

Cathy Katz Jessica was amazing. My granddaughter has really curly hair and we did not know how to take care of her hair—it was frizzy and unmanageable. Her knowledge of extensions, hair, texture, and color all come into play when you are trying to blend your hair with extension hair and she is the most knowledgeable person I know. Before Jessica, I had a few other stylus and she is hands-down the best. She is stuck with me forever.
