Maria Isabel Perez Emilia is a lifesaver! She cut my hair after it had been chopped off in the worst ways by another local stylist. She was very communicative and honest about what needed to be taken off in order to fix it. She did SUCH A GREAT JOB given what she had to work with. Christy Soto Eminence Salon is one of the best Salons Ive ever been to. Crystal does such an amazing job with my hair and always delivers nothing but amazing results. The other stylists all operate in the same manner and take pride in their craft. It is such a pleasure to go there that I look forward to every appointment. They provide great customer service and a relaxing environment. Brittany Enny Eminence Salon is a must go to! They have it all hair cuts, color, extensions, nails, and even lash extensions! Crystal has colored my hair a few times now and she never fails to amaze me! She is so sweet and always does such a great job. Tell her anything you want and she can do it! If youre looking for a new salon I highly suggest checking it out!

Julie Ironside I called yesterday to set up an appointment. They lady told me she would send a text of her open schedule. I didn’t receive a text until 1 hour later. She said her opening was Wednesday morning. I told her I work in the mornings but if I can come by later on that day. She never replied back. I don’t know what kind of business runs like this but I do assure you they already lost a client.

Perdue Cherie (Perdue) Linda is amazing with my hair! She always cuts and highlights my hair beautifully. I always receive compliments. Plus the prices are lower than the high-priced salons in Monterey.

Jacque Oros I arrived at the salon, Juan was busy cutting a clients hair and there was two other people ahead of me. When it was my turn, Juan packed up his area and sat down. I mentioned to him that Ive been waiting and Im next. He then tells me, yeah sorry Im on my lunch, come back in an hour. On your lunch? Ive been already been waiting an hour. If he knew that I was waiting he could have at least told me that hes taking lunch after the guy before me. Great way to waste time. Juan is inconsiderate.

Karina Gallegos She listen to what I wanted Maribel cut my hair and gave better suggestions. First salon to not complain about my thin hair. My hair can get tangle easily. Def will go back. Head up she is Cash only ;but def great experience.

Joey Florez Luis Angel is my barber here and he does a really good job. Its pretty easy to turn a haircut into shit but that isnt the case here. Good prices, friendly atmosphere and most importantly its clean. Id recommend making an appointment just so you can walk right up and not wait.

Lisa Hill Absolutely the best! Phillip and Marcos know how to fix color issues. They are truthful about what the reality of your hair issues are and what they can do and you can do to fix them. And when you want to add a little color back into your hair. It comes out awesome! True color specialists.

Priscilla Jackson They are open with everyone wearing masks. Each person has their own area & you are at least 6 feet apart. They are only using every other sink to wash hair. Sanitizing after each customer.

Melanie Stracner I’m sure the salon is a great place but my first time there I seen Abby and she charge me $80 for a regular haircut ….a plane ‘ol haircut… $80 … their website said 30! She only did a haircut she didn’t do anything else besides style my hair and that’s supposed to come with a haircut; what are we in LA I’m not a movie star!

Becky DeSmet Betty created my short haircut exactly like the picture I brought with me. Im extremely pleased. We also did purple lowlights for the first time. And Im having so much fun with the new color. I met the owner Nora and her husband Henry about a year ago when I was just window-shopping down main Street. They made such an impression on me, I promised myself I would go back when I was in need of a hairstylist. Thank you thank you thank you for helping me look good for my new job! I was so pleased that I made my next appointment for 6 weeks before I left the shop! I love the atmosphere, the music, all the interesting things on the walls. I havent met the gal that does facials, but Im sure that shes just as fabulous as Nora and Betty.

Dionne Ybarra I walked by intrigued by the beautiful doorway. I was also in dire need of a haircut. They were able to get me in within an hour. When she asked what I needed I explained I just needed a trim but she could see my grey roots were growing out. I told her I needed to go to an event and she suggested I not only get my roots done but that I get some highlights . I said sure!! Over the next several hours I was taken care of , they even ordered me a burrito when they ordered their lunch . Because I didn’t have a real appt. they made time for me inbetween their appts. I watched as every women of all different ages was transformed . I couldn’t wait to see how my hair was going to turn out. When it came time for the cut I told her to do what she wanted. While taking off a bit of length. I showed up with my hair looking dry and my curls having no life. The color turned out beautiful and perfect , better than I could have imagined . This cut she left me with is exactly what she said, I can blow dry it and the layers look soft and lush and when I leave the curls to dry naturally the layers allow the curls to look full and bouncy. It is the best cut and color and salon experience I’ve ever had . I live on the Monterey Peninsula but will definitely make the short drive to come back . I usually dread going to a salon but I can’t wait to go back. It’s a beautiful space and the women there are talented and lovely humans. I never write reviews but I have to for this salon. I also bought the brush blow dryer she used on my hair and I love it! Worth the purchase. The price for my cut and color was the same for what I’ve paid on the peninsula but with a quality that doesn’t even come close. I highly recommend this salon . Es mejor!!

Alma Garibay I called to see if they could take me in for a haircut, and they said "yes." They arrived within 5 minutes. I waited over 30 minutes, and they did not help me. I left.

Red Raven I would NEVER go back. My hair is butchered, not the style I asked for or showed pictures of. My bangs look like a child cut them uneven and not blended in. The stylist was angry of my declining a service, micromanaged the other stylists, and was so aggressive while cutting. I get my hair cut often and dont have a sensitive scalp but her constant pulling, scratching, and burning (from getting too close with the blow dryer) left me flinching everytime she came close to me. The whole environment was so awkward. I dont know if she was just having a rough day or what, but she was literally scratching my face with her nails and the comb without any regard that there was a person attached to the hair she was doing. When it didnt come out the way I hoped and was nervously examining the picture to try to figure out how to tell her she insisted that I was styling it wrong by parting it even though thats how the picture parted it. I showed there the whole set again and she said shed only seen the one picture even though the four pictures were attached. She took a call during my hair cut, which is no worries there is always a stylist designated to answering the phone , however she took the call and continued to cut while on the phone with it squeezed between her neck and head.(this means she couldnt have been looking at my hair on the right angle). When all was said and done I politely left, thanked her for the hair cut, andcame home to inspect the damage. The bangs are ruined, its longer on one side by at least an inch, and my neck burns when I shower from her scraping it raw. Ive had a lot of bad hair cuts in my day, but its usually due to inexperience and I have no problem leaving it be because the stylist is usually very kind. This is not the case. I had an experienced stylist, with a bad attitude, for reasons I cant fathom. I will not be going back or recommending this salon to anyone ever. As if the pulling , scratching, and poking werent enough, I have to pay to get it fixed by someone else now because its a train wreck of a cut. I always try to find something about a place to speak positive of but really the only thing I can say is the other stylists seem kind when working on their folks hair.

Katherine Bryant Bertha is amazing. For the last 25 years every time Ive let someone else cut my hair Ive had to have her fix it. She is the only person who can cut my hair evenly apparently. My entire family comes here and loves their hair when they leave. She is also one of the sweetest persons I have ever met!

Rosie Ochoa Tried this salon, for the first time based on previous reviews, for curtain bangs (yes, I showed her a picture and she called them curtain bangs) and come out with what I want” to call uneven Velma (frm Scooby Doo) bangs. Tina (the hair dresser ) said “oh I cut them them too short” I didn’t think much about it because I thought at least the shape would be there. But NOPE!! NOT WORTH THE $20 she charged. At one point Tina said she was scared of her scissors because they are really sharp as she has them next to my face. She seemed like a nice lady….. I went to another to see is something could be done but of course not because my bangs were cut way too short and not curtain style. Jorge (at the other salon) did even out the long pieces and uneven section and told me how to style for free.

Ruben Camacho Tina was very friendly and super patient when it came down to help my daughter with a hair style for an event. Tina was super engaged in making sure my daughter had the exact look she wanted. I would recommend her to any dad looking to take his daughter somewhere for a great hair experience.

alina pineda I got my hair done here a few months ago from a girl named Isabel for a balayage and it wasn’t what I wanted in the first place. I was there for almost 8 hours and Since then due to the long amount of time she left the bleach in my hair, my hair is half the length it was when I went in and I’ve had to see someone else for frequent trims and damage treatments. It’s been a literal nightmare I’ve spent the last 5 years growing out my hair to the length it was all to go to someone who I actually had looked into and seen that she had done this type of style before just for it to end the way it did

Ashlee Avery I went in today to get my hair fixed and Isabel worked on my hair. She’s wonderful at her job. She did a wonderful job on my hair and getting it to the color that I wanted. I appreciate the hard work that she put into it. Courtney Catey Aime and Lily were amazing! They did my hair and makeup trial before my wedding, and also came to our hotel day of to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. They showed up a little early to have everything set up and ready. Our makeup and hair lasted 12+ hours, even through happy tears! Everyone loved how they looked. Both Aime and Lily check in to make sure youre comfortable and like how it turned out, theyre very friendly and put you at ease. Recommend!!

Kimia Akhavein I hired Aime and Lily for hair and makeup services for my wedding in Monterey in August 2024. Aime and Lily are the textbook definitions of true professionals. When I initally spoke to Aime on the phone, she was so friendly, easy to speak with, and really wanted to understand what look I was wanting to go for on my wedding day. I had a trial at Glamology a month before my wedding. From the start of the trial, Aime and Lily made me feel comfortable, asked questions to get a sense of how I wanted the styling, and were both so kind and friendly with my mom and I. I dont get my hair and makeup done too often, but they both really listened to what I wanted and made me feel at ease. The week prior to the wedding, Aime called me and we went over the schedule and last minute details, which I thought was so helpful. The day of the wedding, Aime and Lily arrived early and made it so easy for the bridal party. They did services for myself and four other ladies, including my mother. They brought great energy and they were so fun and warm to be around the morning of my wedding. They are both so kind and we had such a nice morning getting ready for my wedding - there was no stress and I felt like we were in good hands. I felt like Aime and Lily were apart of the bridal group and we all laughed and chatted together throughout the morning. All the women were so happy with how their makeup and hair turned out. I truly felt like such a princess on my wedding day, and I had so many people commenting on how beautiful I looked. My makeup felt natural and enhanced my features; my hair was secured and my bun stayed in all night even with all the dancing I did. I would hire Aime and Lily again in a heartbeat and I hope I get the opportunity to work with them in the future.

T S Being a photographer, I understand the importance of attention to detail, specially when it comes to important events such as weddings. I always entrust my clients to Aime from Glamology, she is hands down the BEST hair and makeup wizard there is, she has the experience of working with brides that get married along the coast and it is so important because the ocean mist and the winds are usually not something to be taken lightly. When it was my turn to get ready for my vow renewal, I wouldnt have trusted anyone but her. She understood very well that I am not someone that normally wears makeup and she listened carefully to my request to make me look as natural as possible. I was glowing, she enhanced my natural features without making me look like a different person, which I was admittedly very nervous about. My hair was done by Malerie, Glamologys curly hair specialist and again, WOW! my hair had never looked better, whats even better is that despite the strong winds and mist in Big Sur that day, my curls looked amazing for 3 days!!!! Also, something that I have not experienced with other stylists, is that she takes the time to talk to you about your expectations, she is quick to respond to any questions and very professional. The whole experience was amazing, the couple of hours that I spent at Glamology on my wedding day were as special as the rest of the day, I would never trust anyone else with doing my makeup, Aime and Glamology forever!

Belen Mejia Edith is such an amazing person. I never been to this salon and i came in as a walk-in, no appointment. I wanted to get a haircut and bangs for the first time. She gave me good recommendations of what bang styles frame my face and which don’t. I was nervous about this hair cut and she reassured me she was going to make me pretty. Pam Yasin I was honestly very happy with Edith’s service. Another stylist left my hair horrible but she was able to fix it without bleaching or damaging. She was very upfront and told me what to expect. I liked that. Yes, the waiting time was 4+hrs but she takes her time to do the job right so to me it was definitely worth it..
