Christina Arakelian Lindsey did an incredible job! I called to get in last minute and she gave 110%. Washed, cut, and styled just how I wanted it. My hair is so healthy now! The salon itself is very clean spaced out so there is no concern about social distancing. I highly recommend!!

Justi My stylist, I cant remember her name but somewhere along the lines of Brennia, did amazing! She wanted my hair to be how I wanted it and Ive never had someone do that before! I highly recommend this place!

Gigi Evers Very disappointing experience considering how excited I was to try this salon. The owner did my hair and never asked me what I wanted, she just started working based off I don’t know what plans. I paid $250 (5 years ago so it’s probably much more now) to get my hair colored and she put in maayybee 25 foils total in my hair. I have thick hair that’s over 24 inches long. Needless to say, the difference was basically nonexistent. She didn’t say more than a few words to me the whole time and then handed me off to a different young lady for the wash and styling. I felt manipulated when the owner came back after and said my hair looked great. It was obvious that almost nothing had changed. I had to message her and come back to get more foils put in and even that was only 5-10 more along the front to create the illusion of change. It was my first time ever getting my hair dyed and I was let down in so many ways. The photos below are before, during, and after. Since then, I have heard more negative experiences about the salon. I don’t know if they are deleting reviews but it’s common practice for businesses these days to do so, it seems. Anyway, if this review helps one person it will be good enough.

Vanessa Willis I’m a long time client of Megan. She has kept my hair blonde and healthy, the best stylist. I recently decided to try extensions for the first time. The salon has a beautifully done extension bar and you get a sense of their commitment to provide the very best quality extension. Megan is the standout stylist for this service. She explained the process and care, and installed them with expert precision. They are absolutely seamless, just my hair but leveled up! I’ve never received so many compliments and yet no one knows they’re extensions, they blend so well with my hair texture and color. Megan is a master at choosing and installing the right extension, your hair but better.

ItsJustWanda Id give ZERO stars if it let me! Nancy gave me THE WORST and I do mean THE WORST haircut Ive gotten in my entire life! She should NOT be cutting hair, she is not a stylist, shes a fake! My hair was long, down to the middle of my back and I wanted it cut in long layers. I took 2 pictures with me of what I wanted my hair to look like after she cut it and she said "ok, I can do that, lay the pictures on my desk for my reference." As you can see by the pictures of my hair after she cut it, it looks NOTHING like the pictures and its a chopped mess! She took 5-6 inches off and just blunt cut the back and mangled the sides in a layering attempt. Its like a Dora the Explorer haircut with mangled sides and I went back the next day and told her I wanted my money back, thats the first time Ive ever done that in my life and Ive had my haircut 100s of times. I do NOT recommend letting Nancy ever cut your hair, beware!

Marcie Jimenez DEBBIE! ASK FOR DEBBIE! She listens, does the best layer ever. I have hair down to my lower back. Told her i was scared of to much length being taken but i wanted it layered. She did a beautiful layer. (Not the hacked up 3 layer job. Which I have had inflicted on me before NOT by her.) She also did my moms hair which is curly and started with a mom bob. DEBBIE created the most beautiful A-line wedge and did a flawless tri-color highlight. My mom was sooo happy. DEBBIE was so kind to my mom. Shes also charming and funny to so it maid me want to be there. The only bad part... is I live in Portland, OR. Now i have to come back in a couple months. Thank you DEBBIE... SEE YOU IN A COUPLE MONTHS. I think Ill do color too next time.

Suzanne Iris Renee at Salon Within gives the best cuts ever. Great prices, and literally the best cut. I have been to many people to get my hair done, and no one has come close to her cuts. Even after moving across country, I have seriously considered flying back just to get my hair done by her. Nice neat clean and pretty salon as well.

legendarym87 (Legendarym87) I have been going here for years, even after moving to Bakersfield it is still worth the 3hr drive and is the only place I get a haircut. Erin is especially good but regardless of who cuts my hair and trims my beard I have never had a bad experience with any of the professionals here or the Modesto location.

Joseph Rueter When you enter everybody greats you, one of the lovely ladies that work there offer you a free drink and sit you pretty quickly. I recommend calling ahead cause there is usually a wait between a 1 and 2 hrs. Ive been going since they opened and cant I just found out they have a Modesto location.

Joey Tumazi I’m giving a solid 3 stars only because of how fast they are at cutting hair and making it look decent not the best but decent. Sometimes it’s a hot or miss with this place. You can go in and get your hair messed up by someone that doesn’t really know what they’re doing and know all the cut types or you can get someone that is knowledgeable and skillful and make your hair look great! So it’s 50/50 with this place.

Shelly One of the best men’s Barbershops around. They are competitively priced and are great at what they do. They will take down your name and phone number and will text you when it’s your turn, as the wait can be somewhat extensive sometimes. They offer beer and other beverages while you wait.

Jessica Estrada Jennie and Neve are THEE best! Both of them are fantastic with color and cuts! I always love my hair when I leave the Lounge. I recommend booking an appointment ahead of time because these ladies are always busy!

Lisa Vo What I had, what I wanted, what I got. It’s not even an A line. Had to go get it fixed somewhere else but yeah apparently the girl said my hair wasn’t long enough to make the Aline which is absurd because my hair was waistline long. Don’t come here honestly they were super unprofessional. And if my hair wasnt long enough then she shouldn’t have taken scissors to my hair. Waste of time.

Nicole Gutierrez At first I couldnt find the location and its a bit of a walk from the nearest parking lot. The salon itself is really modern and cute. It was my first time going to this salon and my hair stylist, Jenny, treated me very well and made me feel comfortable as if we already had been good friends. I was very happy with the service I recieved, and felt really calmed when receiving a good scalp massage when getting my hair washed. At first I was confused on how I was going to pay, because I saw no cash register, but I ended up paying through Venmo, which was quite new for me.

Shelly Erin did a great job in getting my tense muscles to relax. She uses good pressure, but if its too hard, just be sure to speak up. She is considerate and accommodating to your needs, and checked a few times regarding the pressure. I highly recommend her as she was professional, didnt try to pitch me on anything, and overall the massage was very relaxing. Also, She did try a paraffin hand bath, but it was too hot for me.

Leinani Minior I had put off finding a new massage therapist for a couple of years. I found Rosa at Hands on Spa through a gift certificate from my nephew. When I called I was booked with Rosa and it was a refreshing delight. She was very thorough my first time in. Amongst other things she inquired about what type pressure I preferred. My preference is med leaning toward hard and she delivered, it was marvelous. She is extremely good. I went in once a week for a while to work out my kinks and Rosa was outstanding each time. Always affirming what my preferences were and always following through with great sessions. I continue to see her and I am always satisfied. I give 4 stars because we always have to have room to grow. Rosa is 10 stars in my personal book.

Allison Kincaid-Nervino I come here for massages with Erin and I so happy I have committed to self care. Erin is super friendly and pays attention to areas you need worked on. I came in with back issues one day and she spent the entire hour working on my back and I was able to walk with ease the next day. I will be a returning customer for sure.

lisa harrold I found this place while looking for something else.. I’m sooooo happy I did. Maria is a absolutely amazing stylist. I haven’t really changed my hair in years. I gave her a basic description of what I wanted and my hair looks more amazing then I had pictured in my mind. Highly recommend hands on salon and spa. Great people, great service ,excellent stylist. Lady Emily Budworth Rosa gives an amazing massage in a beautiful room! She uses heating pads and hot stones which you dont find often. My facial was relaxing and my skin felt wonderful after. The only thing I wasnt super impressed with was the fact that my pedicure was on the salon side of the business which was loud and the chair I sat in wasnt the most comfortable. I would have preferred to the relaxing environment I got with the massage and facial, which they do offer, but didnt work out for my spa package I guess. Definitely worth a try!

Maria Taylor When I booked my appointment with Meghan, my hair was a hot mess of drab, listless, dry, friz! I had a bad experience with another salon and for three years, I babyd my hair and got up enough nerve to try some highlights once again. I am absolutely happy I did. Meghan has completely brought my hair back from the dead!! I have gorgeous beautifully blended highlights and soft manageable hair. She is a coloring specialist and absolutely knows her business. Shes warm, caring, and professional. The salon was clean and inviting with the perfect edge of quality. A charming place full of character and charismatic stylists. I will never go anywhere else again. This place is classy, elegant, and relaxing.

Brittany Rodriguez Had a prenatal massage with Ashlyn. Best prenatal massage I’ve had by far. Was visiting home from out of state & have been struggling with bad sciatic pain while pregnant. It’s been a week since my massage and the sciatic pain is gone. She put me in the most comfortable positions for the belly. Put different pillows to make sure I was comfortable. Her spa room is so relaxing! Might have to fly back just for another massage

She did a great job, listened to exactly what i wanted and took her time to style my hair. I was so relaxed and left feeling great ! In the past , Most salon places rush me or upsell me products. But this was not the case here ! Give it a chance ! Thank you so much!

Shay Poolman Jenn does my nails and is amazing. She’s super sweet and has a calming allure to her. Jackie’s lashes look natural and beautiful. She’s always pleasant and very accommodating when with scheduling. I have naturally nicely shaped eyebrows and Tina always cleans them up perfectly. My husband and I have both had amazing experiences with Stephanie. Her massages are top notch. While all four of these ladies are excellent at what they do and their work areas are immaculate, I took away a star based on Bliss itself. Ive been a client at Bliss for over 4 years and in that time there have been a few things that I don’t think should be an issue at Salon & Spa of this caliber. The bathroom floor seems to always have water dripped about. My guess is this is because the towels for drying your hands doesn’t have anything under it (a counter top, for example) so water drips on the ground as you pull out the towels. When not cleaned up by whoever dripped it, it creates a safety issue. Lately, the soap has been watered down more often than not. This is not only unsanitary but not something you expected to deal with at a place like Bliss. Lastly, it seems the techs, or at least some of them, can not control the temperature in their perspective areas/rooms leading to having to use fans or heaters to accommodate the weather.

MARCELA ESTRADA After looking for a while in other places with many failed attempts and poor customer service, we finally found a hair salon that meets our needs. As a working mom I definitely needed a place with fast response and convenient hours. Jackeline was great at providing not only convenient hours and reasonable prices but also an outstanding service and great quality. My daughters are both really happy! I guess I’m next! ;)

Viviana Padilla The stylist was nice but she didn’t listen to me at all about what I wanted and cut my hair her way and very bad might I add. She asked me twice if I wanted layers and I told her no because my hair was already short I just wanted her to clean it up. She proceeded to cut a lot of very choppy layers and then charged me $60. She “framed” my face by chopping like 2 inches in the front and wasn’t blended at all. It was very expensive for a really bad, out dated hair cut. The worst part is she kept me turned away from the mirror the entire time so I didn’t know what she was doing until it was done. Wouldn’t recommend this place! and now they are lying trying to say my hair was bad before I got there! I have pics and it wasn’t bad before! Just needed to be cleaned up which is what I asked her to do! It was an even cut before just longer in the back. Here I have before and after pics. Bottom line is I asked her NOT to put layers and she did any way and she put alot of them and very short. She asked twice and I said no both times!! Layers weren’t necessary to “repair” my hair! There were no layers in my hair before! The length of the cut itself isnt bad I expected some length to be cut I told her that but the layers is what makes it bad. The owner obviously doesn’t care she’s just going to find a way to blame the client for her salons mistakes. This place is very unprofessional and rude in my opinion.

I travel all the way from Modesto just to get my hair done here. I’m leaving this review because I believe reviews are crucial for both consumers and businesses. We all benefit from sharing our experiences. However, its important to remember that just because I had an amazing experience doesnt mean everyone else will have the same. People have different tastes and expectations, much like when you recommend a restaurant—one person might love it, while another might not because it doesn’t suit their preferences. The same goes for choosing a salon. Often, people walk in with expectations based on pictures of other stylists’ work or something they found online, only to leave disappointed because their outcome doesn’t match the image. That said, if you’re looking for reasonable prices, a caring stylist who keeps up with trends, loves what they do, listens to their clients, and leaves you with amazing hair, then you’ve found the right place. Forever Beauty Salon is the spot. I can’t say enough about how much I love my hair—Jackie did an incredible job getting me to the level I wanted without frying my hair. Lisa Timmons I have had such a hard time scheduling hair appointments in Turlock, but I think I finally found my new place! They were able to get me in on short notice the day before Thanksgiving. Prices are reasonable, but be aware that its CASH ONLY and come prepared. All the stylists seemed great and also nice. Ill definitely be going back. I just did a shampoo and cut (no style), but I thought they cut it exactly as I wanted.

mrs.schwarzie “mrs.schwarzie” Called to make a last minute appt for a child. A toddler child! Already having one failed attempt a few weeks ago, I was open minded. The nice lady who did my grandsons hair cut was amazing! She approached very friendly & quietly. He was still a little hesitant, but she was so patient and snipped when she felt it was safe. Before long, we were finished...with few short breaks. Thank you so much young lady! We appreciate your gentleness and he looks so handsome.

No messing around, your in and out but just because Connie moves things along doesnt mean you will not be pleased with the results. No hair stylist singing off key while Im captive under the cap, no sitting and waiting till you know what freezes over before I get my hair done. She earns this five star rating by doing a wonderful job in a timely manner!

Debbie Monk I showed up for a cut and color, appt made a week in advance. She was a no show. Lights were on, shades drawn, door locked. I banged on the door, called, no response. Gave her a 15 minute leeway too. I left finally, called a couple hours later, she says " o, I must have been in the restroom outside. Ok, well you couldnt put up a sign saying ," be right back?". Lost my business for good. Shes very good at haircuts, quick too. I guess business is booming so well, she can afford to lose a client here and there. Very disappointed.

Katherine Van Zee It was ok but basically trimmed my hair and spent maybe 10 min and quoted me $15 but I asked for a bit more trim on my neck area and total came to $17 and I didn’t even have a wash and dry or styled! Not impressed!

Joey Berber If you were to ask me three words that come to mind in regards to this hair salon it would be amazing, OUTSTANDING, and perfection. They take their time on each individual client. Its as if they treat each client as a work of art. The end result, a masterpiece. They are truly talented beauticians. If there was a competition between Hollywood Hair and other barbershops/Salons, theres no doubt in my mind this one would come out on top. In fact I wouldnt be surprised. True talent. You should really check them out.

Sarah Kirk Alexis Day is absolutely AMAZING!!! She took such good care of my hair. Ive had 8-10 years of black color and she lifted it with out any breakage. It actually felt better after my service. Her prices are affordable with professional results. The integrity of my hair is amazing. If I could give her ten stars I would because five isnt enough.

Irene Duran Was In need of a new stylist and just happened to find Alexis! Very sweet and definitely knows whats shes doing. Salon in general is amazing. When they say its a full service salon it is. Massages, nails, hair, eyelashes etc.

VENUS I have not been to a hair salon in many years. I took a chance with Swoon. Veaoulat was my hair artist as she colored, highlighted, cut, styled my hair. Veaoulat is a master color artist and truly a master in her craft. I would highly recommend her for anyone that wants a master craft experience and high-quality!

Angel Roxas Lue is absolutely FANTASTIC! She takes great pride in her job. My hair had been looking unhealthy and needed a touch up. She did a trim and colored my hair to give it life again. I highly recommend her. I have been with Lue as a client for a while now and I can say she truly knows how to take care of customers.
