Kris Dr. Avena was very kind when I met him. He was very calm and this was calming to me as well. I was quite nervous about the Carpal Tunnel Release surgery I was having but Dr Avenas staff and Dr Avena himself took that away. The ladies in the office were friendly, the room prior to surgery was comfortable with a nice big tv to watch to relax, and the surgery itself was a breeze. I was awake the entire time and never felt a thing. Everyone in the operating room was very calming and relaxed. There was a lady that hung out beside me through out the surgery, she was really great. All around a wonderful experience with Dr Avena and his staff.

Patricia Fernandez Dr. Avena is great. Im so thankful for him getting the approvals needed to get my surgery going fast. He also made sure I understood everything that was going to happen, and answer all of the questions I had before I left my appointment.

Chad Johnson I think the surgeon did an excellent job, no complaints. He was able to save the finger and relocate my nail bed (after a nasty crush injury). On follow up care, I have to rate his PA as poor, she refused to recommend OT to regain function. It took three months or so to get to a hand therapist via intervention from the workers comp treating Dr, which resulted in lengthened and decreased recovery, in my opinion. The OT I eventually got approved to see knew exactly who had refused to Rx OT without even giving her Dr.Avena’s P.A.’s name or having found it in my chart. I am not a physician, but do have an MA in therapeutic medical settings and have worked closely with Physicians, OT, PT, RT, RD (Dieticians) RN’s, and other medical team members, so have a good working knowledge of the PT model that must therapy disciplines have adopted.Basically, begin restoring function ASAP once stabilized through evidence based practice. In closing, I’m happy with the surgeons work, but follow up substandard. It is not however in my purview to make clinical decisions regarding hand injuries, it is a specialty, and she made a clinical decision I disagree with. That all said, Fresno Regional Hand Center did get me in promptly, and operated ten days after injury.

Bob Kernaghan CCare is an excellent and well run service, and I am quite happy they are my treatment center . Their staff is well trained, helpful, and quite competent. So why not five stars? My provider is excellent, but she has to see so many patients, she has very little time to spend with each individual, and I know she would like to spend a few more minutes. I understand this is how modern medicine has to run to stay in business, but a person can wish.

Olga Meza I was kinda scared but when your going into a new place for a blood transfusion who wouldnt be. As I walk into a small room & the nurse taken my blood for the test that my blood Dr needs she is just talking to me like if we are friends walking me thru everything. Letting me know that Dr. Hackett is such a great Dr. but was shocked that he was in on a Friday. She chuckles & says you must be special for him to come in for you. Then I meet his nurse shes a total sweetheart. Then I finally meet my Dr. Im so glad to have got him. He tells me everything thats going on with me & lets me know that he will be my blood Dr from now on & in all honesty that made me so comfortable. cCare is a good place from check-in to Dr. They are the best. Update: with all the great work from this team of angels I literally do not have to go for iron infusion anymore once a month B12 shots & twice a month to see Dr. Hackett. Thank you Dr. Hackett, Mayra & the rest of the staff they are truly heaven sent.

DeWitt Family I take my mother to treatment and I have for the last 2 1/2 years. Dr Gupta is so kind and compassionate. A lot of people didn’t want to take a chance with my mom and he did and she has done really well with her immunotherapy. The nurse practitioner Susan always cheers my mom up with her smiley face and her jokes and playful attitude. Everyone from the lab to the staff scheduling appointments are always friendly. The nurses in the treatment area are kind and compassionate. I have nothing but good things to say about the place Your health will be in good hands with them

Chee ling With my mother having cancer its been a rough journey for her. The c center imo is the most disorganized unprofessional place Ive ever been to. Giving my mom rides and entering the building is not pleasant. First off theres a weird smell when you first walk in. Second, all and I mean all of the employees are extremely rude and have very mean and negative attitudes.!!! Most of them are looking down at there cell phones, and forget asking them a question, I asked where was the bathroom and I got an eye roll and a sigh from a very heavy set woman with glasses!! Every single employee male or female looked miserable!! Walking around and seeing the place thats all I saw miserable faces, no smiles just sadness or annoyance from the employees faces!! I asked my mom if there was any way she can go to a cancer treatment center in Clovis she said she couldnt. They constantly change my moms appointments they could care less that she doesnt have reliable transportation and the transportation she has through her insurance has to be scheduled which is impossible when booking her a ride for the c center because they NEVER stick to their appointment times. I wonder whats the point of the appointment in the first place. Its sad that there not many cancer treatment options for people in the Fresno/Clovis area!! All this place has done is stressed my mom out which is not good for her cancer recovery!! I pray for change and for God to watch over and protect everyone suffering from cancer, And for God to protect the patients from the staffs negative attitudes!! I hope I never have to come here!!!

Elsie Yalitza Macias We have had to use this urgent care on 2 separate occasions. On both occasions the process was handled exceptionally. The online registration helps facilitate the process as well as the online check in option. 2025 and they’re still using masks, the level of detail is very much appreciated. All staff was professional, understanding and courteous. Best urgent care ever used. For me and my 9 year old daughter.

Triston Byrd Leezel’s shift ended at 5. she learned that I needed an x-ray and stayed overtime in order to get me the x-ray i needed. i very much appreciate what she did. she’s a great employee and a boss ! very thankful to Leezel and the doctor that worked with me.

Miles Brenda “Brenda Cox” I just had cataract surgery done on my right eye December. 14,2023 from the time me and my daughter walked in to check me in The Staff was very nice and helpful. When the nurse came out and got me I told her I have very bad anxiety and that I was a little scared she told me step by step what was going to be going on from putting my IV in until they came and got me for the surgery I very much appreciate all the time the nurse took with me making sure I was doing good. From what I can remember everyone in the room where they did my eye surgery was very nice and helpful there as well. Im going to be having a cataract removal on my left eye as well sometime in January 2024 this time Im looking forward to my surgery cause I feel very comfortable and at ease and this is do to the experience I have already had with the eye surgery unit very loving and caring men and women work in there. I just wish I could remember my nurses name that was with me in the start cause without her I know I wouldnt have been as relaxed as I was. Y S I was recently admitted after I had a fusion at the L3-L5 level. Staff was very nice and helpful from pre admission to discharge. I was on the second floor. My room was a good size. I only had one nurse that didn’t check on me regularly. It’s possible this nurse was busy with other patients. All of the other nurses and PCT’s were fantastic! Food was decent, too. I hope I do not have to have another fusion at a different level. If I do, I know they will take great care of me. I just want them to know that I appreciated all of their care.

Al McKnight I had a 5 level laminectomy and spinal fusion performed by Dr. Conner Telles, his surgical assistant D Simon and team. Im so glad I went to this hospital! Dr. Telles and the rest of the surgery team were so great and answered all my question.The nurses on the 2nd floor are also amazing! Very nice and caring and didnt show any annoyed attitude no matter how many times I pushed the help button lol. The rooms are very spacious and my daughter was allowed to stay the duration of my stay. Food was high quality too. Special props to Monique, who is a nurses assistant! She was exceptionally attentive and caring!

Linda I had my spinal hardware removal surgery done here, three weeks later I developed an abscess and osteomyelitis ended back in the hospital at ST AGNES with MRSA in the abscess which had to be drained twice, I had to have picc lines put in and start IV antibiotics which I am still on and the Surgery was 4/23/24, and its now 6/28/24. I was at St. Agnes for 9 days. 2 weeks later back at St. Agnes because the IV antibiotics gave me slight kidney damage, couldnt keep food down, lost 3O pounds and stayed in the hospital another 5 days. My advice stay the Hell away from Fresno Surgical Hospital, they must not clean things very well. I was the last patient of the day, supposed to have surgery between 2 pm and 3 pm and didnt have surgery until after 10pm at night and came out of surgery with a small skin tear on my arm which they never even explained until I asked what it was from. "Oh a little accident in the O. R." There were signs everywhere warning about MRSA.

Yvonne Yvonne I had a horrible experience in recovery. The discharge Rn Amber had no compassion. She was so rude and terribly mean to me. Amber was verbally expressing how frustrated she was that she got a 2cd patient and still had to discharge me. I hadnt even been awake for 10 minutes at that point. Amber got even more upset when I asked her if I had yet voided. My surgeon instructed me that I needed to void prior to being discharged. Amber rushed me to the bathroom slammed 2 hats on the toilet seat and put my bag of belongings on the trash bin and told me to pull the string when i was done. Due to the procedure I had, it took me some time to void. I had put my pants on because I assumed that I was supposed to get dressed in the bathroom. Amber banged on the bathroom door and yelled are you done yet. I still had my iv and bag hooked to my arm so a tech came and helped me back to the bed I was in and helped me put my top on. I cannot believe how everyone was staring at Amber but no one checked her behavior, or how she was treating me, or asked if I was ok. I am thankful for the kind tech. Amber had a very bad attitude and tone. Amber was even mean to my daughter who was waiting in the car for me. Amber is clearly burnt out and even then it is not an excuse for how she treated me and discharged me. I am so embarrassed.

Nancy Griesser Dr. Paul and his team were effective and efficient and Dr. Paul made me feel I was in very capable hands for the two procedures. He was also compassionate and fully answered the questions I had.

Edgar Salceda Very unorganized. Every time I go, it seems like the staff isnt aware of what the doctor wants me to get done. Today, I went in for flu/covid symptoms, and they had me draw blood for my cholesterol. After I explained to the nurse why I was getting blood drawn when I was experiencing flu/covid system, they made me do a swab covid test. Staff isnt friendly, usually talk down to you ask it seems they dont like working there.

Owen Thomas The staff were very friendly and efficient. I was very impressed with the use of technology and being able to get X-rays done immediately after my doctors appointment is a big PLUS and being able to view the results a few hours later is a huge bonus. You have set a very high level of service. I am hoping that this leads to a satisfactory solution to my medical issue.

Dr Navdeep Gill was my attending, upon meeting me, his response was no pain drugs. Both my legs were cramped up for hours. My reply was my Neurologist has already has me on pain medicine and clearly that was not the answer. He walked away informed the nurse once I receive the injection to dump me me out of the ER. Injection was for anxiety, was still cramped up when my husband arrived to take me home. It took about 2 days before get around on my own.

They always ho over your history and ask if you have and ?s or concerns prior to surgery and resolve them.

Noel Gallardo Splendid basic medical services from an agency that is highly acclaimed for its civic devotion to the community at-large. Such rapidity was exercised for what I needed to accomplish as in the manner of receiving a tuberculosis skin test. It was as simple as understanding the quantum physics behind of why we humans must understand that we all need to communicate in a respectable and just manner. I placed my name with their annals with the scribing of my name, and why I was visiting this serene establishment. Next, I was graciously handed a clipboard with a short form to identify who I was. Signed and dated, I returned my written vitals to the exceptional medical clerk, whereupon I was asked for the nominal fee of $20.00 for the action of the test to take place. A minute later I was given an authentic receipt, and I sat to wait for my named to be called. Meanwhile, a television was in the process of broadcasting Aladdins drama in the majestic sand dunes of a sumptuously scenic Middle East. Two minutes elapsed before a medical nurse led me to a room, where I was professionally given the much-ballyhooed tuberculosis skin test. The speed was of the lightning experience. The process was as tranquil and smooth as the sheen of a single blade of grass shimmering in a foothill meadow where secret gardens and valleys are discovered and cherished as divine moments of clarity.

Ray Salazar What an insulting waste of time. Had an appointment at 1pm. Was sitting there until 1:45pm. Asked how long it would take, they didnt know. Two people who checked in after me were already seen and left. Tried to rechedule because I have other places to be, get told Id have to wait another week. This place is not worth the unprofessionalism, save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Ariane Kinman I too went in for a TB test (like it seems most other reviewers did). They were so gracious about my crying & everything due to my phobia of needles. And I waited only like 10 minutes since I walked thru the door until they called me back. I loved that it only cost $20 as well bc I recently moved to Fresno from a different California county & didnt have Medi-Cal set up thru Fresno county yet. Im going back today for a different appt & I will update afterwards with how I liked their service today.

cos samantha (Kitty lover) First appointment was canceled without notification, the second appointment went perfectly. I waited an hour on the video the first time. The second time was very quick and efficient. Whatever reason I was not notified on that the first visit was rescheduled, I think if you can fix that then your satisfaction rate will go up.

Office Manager IRENE MORENO Nurse gave me the worst experience ever. I have been trying to see a Neurologist for over 4months now. I understand it takes time for referrals to be approved. After a follow up visit regarding a referral with me being emotionally distressed already from going back and forth on this matter; She did not provide me with no further assistance other than a peace of paper to make her job easier with back and forth communication on emails with their referral department back in April! Bottom line as my nurse I felt more distressed by her. I tried making her job easier on calling personally the scheduler dept to get a clarification on what was needed. She then, refuse to listen to me rolled her eyes and stated she couldn’t provide me with no fax number. I was still on the phone with the scheduler department from stand ford hospital; she then was provided a number where she scribbled and wrote on a bedding paper sheet as she didn’t care for it! I was then still force to be the one contacting the referral department as OMNI HEALTH are the ones that sent out the referral for me to be seen at the hospital. I am emotionally affected by this nurse as I went in with confidence that they would care for my well been and help me but she smirk, laughed while she exit me out. Very unprofessional.

Jennifer Atkins I went to the Urgent Care today yes the day after Christmas and it was so busy. It was about an hour’s wait but went smoothly! Monique was in front and was processing clients and answering phones with ease. She was always professional when speaking with customers and very apologetic when someone had been on hold for a time. She never skipped a beat and made the wait enjoyable. JJ took me to the back and as with Monique she was processing clients with ease and in a friendly manner. Thank you both for making my time there easy to endure. The doctor was also fantastic! Here’s to feeling better soon!

Juliarose Hoffman I waited for over an hour and a half, repeatedly being told I was next in line, only to have others called in before me. Meanwhile, the nurses seemed more focused on socializing than attending to clients. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I hope the staff can improve their communication and prioritize patient care moving forward.

Aimee Black I have never had any problems here until now. I called on a Wednesday morning to have a pain meds for a broken ankle called in before holiday weekend. They said fine. Then they closed down for a long weekend and didnt do it. Very upset with them.

Laura Ordaz Terrible! Dr.Yang said she sent over a referral that she had since November. Ive been waiting for a new prescription for my migraine medication. Today she gives me a number to call. I call they tell me I have the wrong number its neurology surgery only. I then call Omni I tell them the situation he puts me on hold and says he is trying to contact the Dr. He puts me on hold again I wait and wait then the phone disconnects. And each time I have to explain myself and tell them what the Dr. told me to do. Everyone is clueless.

AL Office was open right at 8am, space was clean, and office staff were quick & efficient with paperwork. Doctor was helpful.

Mindy Betancourt I had a gastric bypass surgery on March 20 2023. It was the greatest experience ever. I had the best team of nurses. They all wished together to get prep and ready to go. The place was beautiful, cleaned, and felt so relaxing. Dr. Ma did an excellent job. Thank you to all the staff for helping me get through this new journey. Today almost 2 years later I find myself back in this very friendly, beautiful place, But now for a different situation. I was taken by ambulance to fresno community hospital because I experienced some excruciating pain in my abdomen. I came to find out I had a huge gall stone that had really upset my gall bladder. I told them I had the weight loss and so they called FHSC and determined that my best best was to be transferred over here. I got here and what a heck of a difference peaceful and things happened fast. I am now recovering and should be going home soon. Best experience ever! great staff! Fabulous building! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Joseph Blankblanklol My Rock Star Doctor got me in for extreme edema. The check in was easy peasy, the receptionist was super friendly. The nurses during my stay were awesome, friendly and courteous. Explaining what was being done and answering any question I had. The doctors were also awesome in letting me know what path my care was headed and kept updating me on what’s going on. Definitely recommend this hospital.

Lola Ruiz I called to make an appointment and they “schedule” me. Came during my time and they didn’t have me in the schedule. I was however seen. They took vitals and did the paperwork within a good time. However I was kept in a room waiting over an hour. Must had waiting in the room for 1.5 hours. This is ridiculous. The only reason why I came was for a physical needed for immigration and would had left if I didn’t needed it.

Alexandra Riano I had an appointment at this place. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and despite that, the service took more than 2 hours 30 minutes for me to see the doctor. The place is not clean and has an unpleasant smell.

You can never get a hold of someone on the phone, and if you do it’s only to place you on hold without even answering the phone just a cold transfer to hold. Please get rid of the front office assistants, if they can’t do the job right get someone who can. Office is going through construction but the real problem is the customer service.

Raul Cipriano Good place to come for immigration physical. I needed 2 exams and a vaccine which the doctor ordered and let me take to my clinic so I didnt have to pay out of network fees. The other clinic I called was going to charge me 900 dollars for the exam plus exams and vaccinations. I paid 250 here.

They are extremely rude and don’t care about you, your dental issues or even getting you a basic appointment. I have been trying to get an appointment for a cavity for over 6 months, while in pain. I call and talk to them at least 2 times a week! They don’t care to try and help, they usually forward me to a voicemail that never gets addressed. You are better off paying for your own dental insurance than dealing with these heartless people.

Harold Oversen. The Fresno VA is one of the worst VA hospitals in the state if you are going there and you have problems with them the only way you get any things straightened out is contacting your local Senator or congressman otherwise they will treat you incompetently

Corinna Huish My son was sent there in October, 2024. We were there for 5 days. The first 3 days in the PICU were fine. The nurses were very helpful when I would head to the cafeteria for breakfast and dinner. The last 2 days were spent on the main floor. The nurses there were horrendous. Suddenly, I was not allowed to leave the room to get food. They would not bring me food so I spent 2 days eating the scraps off my childs plates. I would push the call button to ask them for water or to ask when my child was gonna get his medications or food and it took them hours to respond. I had to drink from the sink more than once. There werent even cups in the room. Eventually, I had to open the door and start calling down the hall. The nurses were not nice. They acted like we were annoying them. The doctor didnt even bother to come visit us and talk to me UNTIL we were being discharged. I would never go to this hospital willingly. If youre a parent, prepare to be ignored and dismissed. And prepare to have your children be treated like they are inconveniencing the nurses. Now, they keep calling me because they want me to drive 3 hours to them for a follow-up that they can do over the phone, and Ive been ignoring them while we wait for our local appointment to come up.

Ser The waiting room sucks, I took my 5 month old who had a fever of 102 and a slight cough here. And I waited for over 6 hours to be called and nothing so I broke and went home with my poor baby. Doctors say to take babies to the hospital right away with such a high fever. I understand there busy but shouldn’t they prioritize babies under 1? This mom took her son in after me and he was around 8 and he looked fine and they got called in before this system is ridiculous.

pooh see I rarely leave reviews but I do not trust any doctor from here, as all that they’ve done is gaslight me into thinking I’m fine with zero help at all. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and my doctor has been no help. When I ask another doctor, they’ll promise to help and refer me to get tested but nothing ever gets done. I call and ask if I have any appointments or updates yet there’s never any follow ups or any consideration for my concerns. Everything I say seems to go right through them. By now, I feel like getting help wouldn’t benefit me at all now because I feel like I’m already closer to dying. Don’t become a doctor if you hate helping someone. It’s quite literally your role.

Sabrina I took my 7 month old daughter at 8:40pm because she had a fever with runny nose and cough. 2am comes around and I still have not been seen! I ask the RN what’s taking so long and his response was “there are other kids that are more sick so they have to get seen first” I’m better off taking my daughter elsewhere next time that won’t take 4+ hours just to get taken to the back to get checked out. I see all these other patients that came after me get seen, meanwhile I’m the one that’s been waiting so long before them!

Umbhi Creations I have never been so disappointed in a hospital until I took my son to the Emergency Room through an Ambulance. They put us in the waiting room after Triage which is fine I understand but the lack of empathy there with the staff and Security Guards is ridiculous! My son had a fever of 104 and was very fatigued and passing in an out after an hour of waiting I laid him down mind you hes 511 by the Security Guard bench because there was all chairs everywhere in the waiting room. The Nurses had no care that he was passing out told me to move him to the wheel chair and he couldnt lay down and the Security Guard told me he couldnt lay on that bench because the other Security Guard was going to sit on it. So ridiculous! My 13 year old son was so upset that he wanted to leave and we left. Shame on you Valley Childrens.

Daniel Leistner Dr. Blankenship is a very good physician. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable while consistently demonstrating a pleasant and professional manner. I feel that Dr. Blankenship is one of the best doctors at Kaiser.

Karen Tani My visits with Dr. Simunovic have been very pleasant and informative. Dr. Simunovic is approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. I feel very fortunate to have her as my dermatologist. Ive been with Kaiser over 25 years and will be staying with Kaiser.

Carla watkins Staff is very good. Good security. Feel safe here. Pharmacy is knowledgeable and answers questions quickly. No long waits in line.
