AceMyPlace Sam is the best! I’ve bounced around salons for the eight years I’ve lived in Chico, and none of them compare. If you have any amount of wave or curl to your hair, Sam is your girl! She’ll teach you how to style it, recommend great products, and customize the best haircut for you. The salon is clean (and so cute!), staff is very friendly, and you can even schedule a manicure after your appointment. Sam is worth her weight in gold! I’m her client for life! ❤️ #notsponsored

Sarah Cummings Claudia from Mecca Salon graciously travelled to Southern California for my wedding rehearsal and wedding day hair styling. She absolutely nailed everything, and the entire process was seamless. Claudia insisted on a calm and peaceful environment, which helped to calm my nerves on wedding day and truly made the day such a breeze. Claudia gave my helpful instructions and tips prior to the hair appointments so that my hair would be in optimal condition (I have very curly hair!). I could not have been happier with how my hair turned out, especially on my wedding day! Though Claudia is not advertised as a wedding hair stylist, she can truly do it all! Thank you so much, Claudia, for everything!!

Angelo I went in for a haircut and got one of the best $10 haircuts I can remember. A lot better than some of the 30 and $40 haircuts Ive had recently. Staff was very knowledgeable and attentive to their students as they performed their work. I will definitely be going back. I will be a regular customer

Heavens Warrior With Gods Holyness Warrior Of God I got my haircut done on April 27th 2023 and the guy who did it did a 10/10 job, he was kind, listened to me talk on and on and took interest in what I was saying, did an amazing job with my hair, I would recommend this place to everyone who is tight on money and need an amazing haircut ☺️ great job to everyone here!

Michelle Marrs Extermly disapointed I just had to file for a complaint with my Bank. Yesterday over the phone to get refunded for the worst Hair Coloring & Cut I had received. Since I moved to this one shop backwords town out of the Bay Area! The owner did this botched up job herself after she talked me into a low light job for my whole hair besides my bangs last Fri. Plus over thinned my hair. Gave me a problem the other day over the phone after I just noticed how unprofessional it had been made. She clearly didnt want to stay on the line and hanged up on me. The way she handled herself was childished! Didnt bother to offer anymore of her of own time to let me come back down to recolor my hair free of charge. Nor told me about another stylist I could go down to see to redue my hair. I had tried being nice to her entire salon staff apperently their under the given impression that Im too bossy! For how I like my hair done a certain way. Ashely didnt like the fact that my prev stylist whose 3 hrs back in Los Gatos, CA knew how to do my hair the way I liked it. Plus knew how to do a natural look that you can tell has been done with the color fusion job with Redken vol 20. I had been told to reschdule my appt for a later time instead of having done when requested last Fri instead of Thurs. The Color Fusion product wasnt even in the salon after giving them more then enough time go even have it ready on the day of my appt. I DID txt and sechduled in advanced for what I wanted for a coloring job and she tells me to my face claiming she never receivced my txt!?! I had been waiting for a response for 2 wks for any reply. Which is another red flag with how their not that serious in the way their running shop. It was the right number! Another women named Angela whom I had to speak to put in my info to even TRY to see the salon owner for my appt. Obviously didnt put down my entire info into the system seeing exactly what I txted to her boss for what I wanted done. Dont go down to this salon if you want your color job done by actual people who know exactly what their doing. Just look at how my entire hair looks uneven from the low light/highlight job. It doesnt even look like my hair got colored at all!

gabriella hammond I Do Not Recommend This Place At All For Eyebrows. Definitely Not Professional. I Had Nice Thick Eyebrows When I Walked Into That Shop, Keeping In Mind I Only Asked For A Cleanup, When I Came Out My Eyebrows Were Thin And Looked Like Spoons On My Face. It Will Definitely Take At Least 3 Months Or More To Get Them Back To How They Were. All Else Im Going To Say Is, That Lady Is Lucky I Paid.

A-Elizabeth Morgan I had an apt at 1. I called prior to arrival NO Answer. I show up to find out she put two clients ahead of me. She is very unprofessional with time management. April also does not care if her client needs to be done and have their appointment at a specific time.

Myah Meow April is a god send. She not only fit me in last minute appointment but drove back to the spa for me after already closing up for the day. She did an amazing job and was incredibly friendly. 10/10 experience at spa pierman. I would highly recommend!!

Michelle Mayfield Hilary was so friendly and skilled! It was one of the best hot stone massages Ive ever had, if not the best. I went in in a great deal of pain from an old car accident injury and finally got relief. Theyve also worked hard to create a beautiful and soothing lobby space. I love visiting this spa.

Olivia Rodriguez Honestly the worst massage I’ve ever got. I got my wife a couples massage. We got there 3 minutes late, the sir by the reception guilt tripped us a little bit but it wasn’t too bad. But then the massage started. My wife got luckier than I, I don’t remember the name of her masseuse, but she at least went all in there. Mine I honestly couldn’t feel anything, it felt like he didn’t know what he was doing. When I turned around on my back for him to do my neck/chest/shoulders, ALL HE DID FOR 15 MINUTES WAS CARESSING MY SCALP! on our way out, the lady at the reception was absolutely incompetent, we weren’t able to tip with card because she couldn’t figure it out. I came because of the good reviews but I‘m never coming back again. Only Urban Med Spa in Chico from now on! Really sad I spent so much money on this place…

Osmara Herrera We booked a couples massage a week ahead. Called ahead in the morning the day of to confirm the appointment only to get there a few hours later for our appointment and be told we were only booked for a single massage not a couples massage. It was obviously a clerical error on their part, which is understandable, but the receptionist didn’t give any solution or option, or even an offer to reschedule, just a “sorry, we don’t have you down for a couples.” Obviously expecting us to leave. Awkward experience.

cindee lanning I had my first Massage in years, It could not have been better. Sadie listened to me about my neck and shoulder pain. As I was driving home, I realized I wasnt in pain. The spa was everything you would want a spa to be. Calm, relaxing, and very enjoyable.

Jamie Chamberlain I had an apt on 1/18 for 1:45 that I accidentally booked under my husbands name. I called and asked that they change it to my name. I was told they would cancel my apt and re enter in my name. Show up for my apt and I was not in the schedule. Low and behold they accidentally scheduled me for the following week. I was told they could squeeze me in at 2:50 with a male masseuse, whom Ive had before and was not a fan of so I declined and said I would keep my new apt on the 25th. The original masseuse I scheduled came out and said she had a 1:45 and said my husbands name. I was like OH thats my apt, just wrong name. Another woman waiting said that was her apt, and the receptionist corrected the masseuse and said no, you have (womans name). So I said thats weird that the masseuse i had originally booked still had our name. To which I was told "she must be looking at an old schedule" at that point the woman who now had the 1:45 slot says to me "its my apt dont be rude". I responded stating i wasnt trying to be rude nor was I speaking to her and said "damn". (I was not yelling) The receptionist shushed me. I explained again to her I wasnt trying to be rude to anyone, I was just confused at the situation. She essentially couldnt have given 2 craps, gave me the most insincere apology and I said, never mind cancel please. In my opinion none of that was handled well at all. I walked out utterly mortified that someone thought I was creating a scene with no interjection from the staff.

Christine Whitman The precision cut Rich does on my hair is by far the best Ive had in 20 years. My husband and I move frequently due to his career and after living in the area since 2014 and trying a multitude of salons, Rich nailed it. My hair is fine but there is a lot of it and to top it off, its quite curly, kinky, wavy and unruly. The salons / stylists I tried prior to finding Genesis did cuts that were so-so and I resigned myself to the fact that I would never receive a satisfactory cut and that I will forever wear my hair in a pony tail, a chignon or hidden under a hat. I occasionally speak in public and my biggest concern was never about my topic or my ability to convey my point but it was always about how dreadful my hair looked. Ive been going to Genesis for about 9 months... every 6 weeks and my confidence has skyrocketed. Its amazing what a fantastic cut can do.

Christa Waltz Getting older and over plucking has caused my eyebrows to be very thin and sporadic. My daughter-in-law gifted me with an appointment to see Jennie. She did my daughter’s brows and they look beautiful! I was very nervous going into my appointment, but after spending one minute with Jennie, i was instantly relaxed and excited! She spent a-lot of time explaining everything, listening and making me feel comfortable. She took a-lot of time measuring and taking my mature skin into account. When it was time for the procedure, i was completely comfortable and relaxed. I even slept through half of it! When i was finished, i looked in the mirror and cried. I had beautiful eyebrows! They were the perfect shade and length. I will post pictures after my touch up and it’s healed. I highly recommend anyone who wants cosmetic tattooing or even just thinking about it to come see Jennie. She is highly professional, patient, caring, and gentle.

Tia Austin Jennie is absolutely amazing! I had wanted to get my brows done for quite some time but had been really hesitant and after doing a lot of research I’m so glad I finally decided to book an appointment with her. From the initial consultation to my touch up appointment Jennie far exceeded all my expectations. She took time mapping out my brows to figure out the best shape and also figuring the best color for my skin tone and hair color. She’s very personable and professional and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. The studio is super clean and feels very welcoming. I’m so in love with my hybrid brows and highly recommend Jennie to anyone wanting to get their brows done. If you have been on the fence go book your appointment with Jennie and trust the process.

jen darlington Jennifer is an artist and a total professional. She has helped me with scar revisions and with eyebrow eyebrow microblading. Jennifer’s technique is skilled and she knows pigments and employed her wisdom to help fix not only my scars but past microblading pigment gone wrong! I highly recommend Jennifer, the owner, in every way!

Sarah Bygum Jenny is the owner of MC and is professional, knowledgeable, and makes you feel 100 comfortable. My eyebrows needed help and she completely transformed my look and I couldn’t be happier. Rypley Feldman I’ve been going to see Jess for about a year now for acrylic overlay. I usually go with an image of what I like and from there she is able to collaborate with me and turn it into something I love. The main thing that sets Jess apart is that she is a true artist and has that artistic eye. She gets excited about doing something creative and different and she is just such a positive, fun energy to be around. She has amazed me over and over again with her creativity, artistry, professionalism and work ethic. I cannot recommend her enough and can say with 100 percent certainty that you would leave her salon disappointed.

I sheduled a 12 PM appointment a day prior and when I showed up to check in for my opponent they told me to come back at 1(they only had 2 customers). Extremely unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable. I wont ever come here again.

Hannah Creech Everyone working here does an absolute amazing job every time. I love coming here, they are super fast, friendly, and they pay attention to detail. I’ve been coming here for years and Tony and Tammy are always soooo sweet. The man who painted my nails today (I didn’t catch his name) but he did an incredible job!! I walked out so satisfying with my nails, I’m in love. The attention to details and patience he had while working on my nails was greatly appreciated. And if your looking for a pedicure…. I highly recommend, they’re prices are pretty inexpensive and the leg massages are wonderful!

Romeo Valentino Super friendly people, they quickly sit you down in a massage chair and get right to work on you. Very comfortable atmosphere and prices are very reasonable. If you go here, try and get one of the owners to work on you, they do the best work and take there time with you.

Brenda Kay So extremely satisfied! First time here. I had a mani/pedi and they are so attentive to detail. I had my nails done by the owner ( Tammy) and she is a perfectionist and has better suggestions for what you are looking for. Ive never been happier with a nail shop!
