Lady M. Please avoid this place at all costs. Just because a nail salon is on El Paseo doesnt mean theyre any good. I mainly went for a pedicure but I thought what the heck might as well get my nails done while Im there. They did such a horrible job on my nails I did not even get a pedicure. My nails are horribly uneven and clumpy... a lady started off on my nails she filed them with a nail file and the drill, after she was done she added more acrylic then filed them and added more acrylic again. They looked very clumpy and unprofessional. So bad the man had to come in and fix her work. He did his best as he could but I still left the nail salon looking like a 7 year old did my nails. on top of that I had to pay $50 for the horrible job. Please please please stay clear of this place. Unless you want to be in tears because your nails look horrible

Connie Botelho Had my gel nails done here not even one week the gel started coming out went to see them to get it fixed and they blamed on my nails and it wasn’t their fault. I paid $55.us which cost me $80 cdn. I get my nails done in Canada and they last me 4wks. Very poor service will never go back and I don’t recommend them at all.

ed ada I walked into Vinny Nail Spa (VNS) on a whim as my nails and cuticles were in dire need of repair. I suffer from excessive dry skin and also spend a great amount of time gardening at my house in SF. Vivian was not only friendly and welcoming, she is a true professional in her field. She worked that cuticle nipper like Edward Sissorhands without a single wound. Vivian completed my manicure with a natural looking buff and relaxing hand moisturizing massage. After all was said and done, I walked out of VNS feeling confident with how healthy my hands and nails looked. I will definitely make a return visit the next time I’m in town!

Madison McKay I have been coming to Vinny Nails for a few months now- every time I go I not only leave feeling relaxed and renewed, but also with a little serotonin boost! Every single one of them are hilarious, personable, and make an effort to make sure you leave feeling satisfied with your experience. My nails always look incredible, and I always see Jenny, who was referred to me by another friend who has been seeing her for over a year. Additionally, there is Vivianne who is spunky and genuine. Jenny’s mother does incredible pedicures, I hate that I’m blanking on her name! They all do amazing work, and clearly are loved by the community - they always remember everyone’s name! Go to Vinny nails, you won’t be disappointed!

Sandy Stanfield If you are looking for nicely groomed shorter nails….Sophie is your gal. After looking at a gazillion salons on yelp…and reading another gazillion reviews…I narrowed my search to Ann’s Nail Salon…and chose Sophie to give me a manicure and pedicure. After seeing the same manicurist for 21 yrs…I was on a mission after moving to Rancho Mirage to find a replacement manicurist. I hit a home run on my first try. Sophie did an absolutely wonderful job! If you looking for a salon and manicurist give Ann’s salon a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Katie Nyhoff I came to this nail salon on a whim. I walked in with no reservation and was seated right away with the utmost politeness and respect. The facility was clean and well kept. I was paired with Sophie and WOW I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with her. She did a fill and color change on my nails and a collagen treatment on my hands (severe dry skin). Sophie did a phenomenal job. I should have taken a photo of my nails right after, but here they are a day later looking just fabulous!

Sendy Barrows The service and the quality of my manicure were disappointing. I spent two hours, and almost $80 for a French manicure and pedicure on Sunday only to have the paint on the manicure crack by Tuesday morning and start to peel before I got back from my work trip on Thursday. My friend and I stopped by on Jan 12 to get a mani and pedi together since we both had good experiences at this salon. We were given an 11am appointment and we both were given a chair for the pedicure and manicure at the same time. The water was extremely hot and we asked for the nail tech to fix it, which she did. It seemed like the salon was short staffed, since the nail tech who did my friends pedicure was the same person who did mine after she finished with my friend. Which meant I spent almost an hour in the chair just soaking my feet. When she finally got to me, she seemed to be an a hurry and did a messy job on my toes, but later corrected. When she got to my manicure she did the same thing, I asked her to fix it again. Although she fixed it, I did not appreciate her tone or reluctance to correct it. I was not asking for any complicated design, all I was asking for was simple French manicure. If they were short staffed that day, it would have been great for someone to let us know they could not help us, so we could have gone to another salon. I understand that regular nail polish doesnt last as long as gel, but it shouldnt last only two days. Its worth nothing that I was traveling for work, and therefore not doing anything to really ruin the polish.

H C When youre spending over $70 to get a gel set of nails, youd think that youd be getting the whole shebang. What I requested was a pastel green colored French tip on a set of gel nails. The nail tech, Hunter, brought light pink gel... I asked for clear but he insisted that the "nail underneath would see through," so I conceded and let him continue. Realizing that the green I chose was not going to look good on the color he chose I decided on a faded French tip. The tech didnt understand what I what I wanted (even after showing him a picture) and he proceeded to do the minimal effort of what I asked for. So all in all, instead of explaining what I expected, this is what I got... Nails filed. No wash or wipe Pink gel applied when asked for clear. Silver French tip applied when asked for faded white French tip. No cuticle push back to trim. My cuticles werent even touched outside of the oil he applied after. Incredibly disappointing experiencefrom my first time at this place.

CottonandCreme Always a 10/10 experience here. Been coming to this salon for years now and will always come back. The staff is always kind and my tech Autumn is always professional and does a amazing job. Try the Gel-x manicure and you will not be disappointed!

I called To make an appointment and they were very busy and couldn’t initially fit me in, however, I received a call 10 minutes later telling me they had a cancellation- I was really impressed they called me back. Kat was extremely patient, kind and fast! Loved how detail oriented she was and everyone there made a point to smile when they walked by. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Lori Chollar I was in town for a few days and picked Desert Nails & Spa because it was pretty close to the hotel and had good reviews. I had such a good experience that I wanted to leave a review myself. Kim did a great job with my mani and pedi and it was truly relaxing. Everyone there was friendly, and they also recommended a great dinner spot for my husband and I to try (Okura Robata Grill & Sushi was great!). However, the reason Im writing this review is that after my appointment I stopped by a store and a falling display piece gouged 2 of my nails. I went back to Desert Nails and Kim was very gracious and redid both nails happily and without charging me. Truly great service. Ill be stopping by next time Im in town. Thanks ladies! :)

VJ Slav First of all, very unfriendly! No hello, how are you, a smile, nothing! I paid extra for a massage during my pedicure. I also had a gel manicure. The extra massage was not worth it. The massage should be a foot massage, not legs only. She didnt seem to understand when I asked her to massage my feet the last 2 minutes. My toenails were filed at an angle. I asked to straighten and even them out. She did a few files and got annoyed so I let it go. Apparently filing the bottom of the feet to smooth calluses isnt part of their routine. She did not polish the tip of my toenail so its all white. I came home and did my callouses and had to refile my toenails along with cutting off skin around my nails. My gel manicure isnt much better but Im done complaining. Such a waste of my hard earned money! Not a treat at all!

Navidad Hazrati I love the atmosphere, the joy on the staff’s face as you walk in and the quality of the work. I always do long nails but this time I went short and they provided exactly what I asked for. They checked in with me periodically but also allowed me to relax, enjoy listening to my podcast and take some quiet time to zone out while they pampered me. Thank you to Justin! He did both my manicure and pedicure with a gel matte finish along with the help of his wonderful coworker at the end. He made sure to check me out and follow-up with me at the end as well. Christina Pillitteri I said I wanted and pointed to a regular pedicure which on the menu for $35. I gave a $10 tip. They charge my bank card $56. When I saw the receipt, and showed my friend she spoke up and told them they over charged me. The technician said they gave me the same service as my friend even though it was not want I asked for!! But then gave me $10 back in cash. They told me they charge that much because my friend got the $45 service and they thought I wanted the same service.

Lisa Weaver I love this place! V (also known as new Ivy) is the best! I will not go to anyone else. She is always fast and does a perfect job. The owner of this place is great and treats the employees well and keeps the spa sparkling clean! V/Ivy worked at Annes Nails for many years. So happy that I found where she went!!

Tracy Adams The place has a nice atmosphere and staff was pleasant. My complaint is that the place isnt very clean. There are workers in-between services sitting in the pedicure chairs waiting for new customers on their phones. They need to do a deep clean and wipe down around all the pedicure chairs and manicure stations.

Charlene Grace Flores Theyre my favorite place to get especially my pedicures from. If you need a mani and pedi person recommendation. I highly recommend Tina as she takes really good time and precise care of getting your nails done and John/Layla for pedicures. John gives you great massage aftercare towards the end of your service, its like you never want it to end and Layla is such a sweetheart during every convo when you book her.

Don J Schafer Leyna at Legend Nails does the best pedicure with an amazing leg & foot massage. I always get the Deluxe pedicure with hot wax treatment on my feet. The salon is always clean & the staff is excellent. I always feel great after Leyna’s pedicure!

Natalie Armijo They gave me a full set with a design I had in mind. I asked for a deluxe and did not receive the treatment. When I mentioned it, she said she wasn’t done but never got around to it. They only charged me for a normal pedi though so I appreciated that. I will definitely go back for manís. Karen is amazing!

Yaz Hermosillo Hasn’t been a week since I got my nails done and they look like they need redone … sloppy poor application not shaped correctly and lumpy. My cuticles were not clipped off they just pushed them back and there is space between the acrylic they applied it looks horrible and had the nerve to get an attitude when I asked him to fix It NOT WHAT I ASKED AND PAID FOR

Linda Gonzalez The place is clean, and the staff is friendly, though rather quiet. Only about three people, including the owners Ty and Kim, engage in conversation. Ive generally enjoyed my acrylics and pedicures during my visits. However, the cash-only policy is frustrating. Since getting nails and waxing are luxuries rather than necessities, I find it inconvenient, especially considering I usually spend over $200 for my daughter and me. They do offer an ATM, but it incurs additional fees, which feels unnecessary given they are equipped to accept debit and credit cards. This policy might drive clients away. Additionally, they seem to have inconsistent rules about appointments and card payments. They often claim they dont take appointments on Fridays and Saturdays, but I’ve been asked to wait while they prioritize walk-ins. This inconsistency with payment methods and appointment scheduling seems unprofessional and could negatively impact their business.

Donna - California Girl Slots The nicest group, professional, beautiful decor. I went through several salons before locating Glossy Nails by using a Google search. Today was my fifth visit. My pedicure is the absolute best, soothing, relaxing. My Nails are done consistent each and every visit perfect shape is perfect and cuticle removal exceptional, clean up afterwards you can’t beat it. My pedicures are done by Diana. She is so pleasant and a true professional. My nails are done by Holly. You cannot ask for better!

Kendra Nichols Original pictures are from 2 days after getting a $52 gel manicure. As you can see theyre already lifting. Clear coat was all over the skin. The guy that did them & the manager tried to gas light me into saying they were ok. I requested someone else to fix them and it took her 20 minutes to clean up his mess. The gel nails were lumpy & wavy. The absolute worst gel manicure Ive ever received. Didnt even do a hand massage. My 10yo niece does better than this guy. Edit- 6 days later: every single nail has gel lifting & ripping out hair or pulling fabric thread from my wool tee. I almost got a pedi too, so glad I didnt. They also were not patient when I was looking at the prices trying to figure out what mani/pedi package I wanted. They kept asking what I wanted & told me to sit down no less than 4 times while I was looking at the prices at the front desk. Then they tried to tell me just to get one of the most expensive packages available which included things I did not need. I do not recommend this place nor will I ever back

Pamela Crook Today my husband treated me to a deluxe pedicure. Fortunately I was paired with a lovely Lady by the name of Diane that gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had in a very long time. She paid so much attention to my cuticles and calluses which were in horrible shape! Next time I’m in the area I will be asking for her guaranteed!

S S Loved my experience here! After being with my old nail guy for 10 years, he made it unwelcoming for me, so I had to look elsewhere. Orchid was the 2nd place I tried and previously, another nail place really messed up my nails and skin. I thought it was an allergy, but turns out it was just the technique that was causing skin issues around my nails. The owner here took great care of my nails with the dip. She is a perfectionist and I love that about her! Also, very warm and friendly, offered me a drink as soon as I walked in. She was sweet and not rushing me, like other places do. Another guy was taking care of my pedicure and they assured me that my skin will be okay with the way they apply the gel polish. So far, so good! His massage was wonderful and he also paid great attention to detail. The shop is clean and inviting. They are getting new chairs in right now, so that was cool to see them assembling everything Assuming that everything stays well with the gel, I would love to be back in a couple weeks. So glad I found my new favorite spot.

Breanne Russell When I decided that my mom splurge would be to have my nails done regularly, I went to a salon near my home, but was sadly disappointed with the outcome. With research I came across the salon Vu and Hannah worked in and booked an appointment. Needless to say it has now been a year and a half since I have been seeing them. Vu is extremely artistic. I can share my inspiration and he adds a flare of his own to each set of nails he paints. Hannah has a sweet demeanor and a gentle touch to her pedicures. Their work does last in between appointments as I am very busy and hard on my hands and feet. Here are two examples, but there are many more to draw from!

Natalie A Vu has been my go to nail tech for just over a year now. He pays attention to detail and gives honest advice when I ask him what I should do with my nails. Both Vu and his lovely wife Hannah do amazing work and go above and beyond. Even their new nail tech Veronica does great work too. I appreciated that she took her time and asked me every once in awhile how I liked my nails. Everyone here is very friendly and the equipment is kept very clean. Its hard to find a good nail tech out here these days. Thats why I have been a faith client for over a year.

Jennifer May I followed Vu and Hannah from their salon in Palm Springs because I would not anyone else to do my nails. Both are always consistent and professional, and the salon is welcoming, clean and comfortable. I am very hard on my nails because I work with my hands but Hannah always manages to make my nails look fabulous with every visit, and give me the natural, healthy look I desire.

My fingernails were done by Brianna (of Beauty with Brianna in Moreno Valley) and she killed it! Together, my hands and feet are ready for Halloween! Enjoy! Clarification - the fingernail photos that I posted today (10/17/2024) were done by Beauty with Briana in Moreno Valley; Google Maps wouldnt allow me to post these photos at my home, so I chose the last nail salon that I visited. That being said, Glendaly does have the skill set to do nails like this (per my conversation with her), so check her out! Ill be seeing Glendaly again next week for my next pedicure, so stay tuned for more amazing work by her! I had my first gel pedicure here on Wednesday and Glendaly was amazing! Not only is her space calming, clean, and uplifting, her skill set is superb and her options (for both manicures and pedicures) are fantastic! She is a great conversationalist and communicates with one throughout the process! I am including a couple of photos of my right foot because the left one had a damaged big toe nail that is healing and isnt quite camera-ready (that being said, her work made it look presentable, which I appreciated). Heather Lebeda I’ve always had trouble growing my nails out, they were brittle and would always break when i thought i had finally got them to my ideal length. I’ve been consistently going to Glendaly for almost a year now and my nails have maintained their length and strength. I work where my hands are always looked at and I’m consistently complimented on not only how they look but of course, their natural length! I usually get a gelcrylic manicure, but i have also gotten acrylics and when removing those my nails were not severely damaged. Glendaly is very professional, sweet and a great conversationalist. I highly recommend seeing her before anyone else in the low desert.

Valerie Lara Wouldn’t come here again. I called over the phone asking if they could do my nail inspo and they said yes. When I arrived I showed the lady whom I spoke to over the phone and she told me no they can’t do that. Waste of time! Kathy Collins I’ve been here twice before and it has been fine. However, today I went for a dip, manicure and a gel pedicure… Mai, who did my manicure was absolutely terrible. Her body language, her lack of asking me what I wanted as far as shape or anything screamed “I don’t wanna be here”. She was literally spilling Her supplies all over the floor and couldn’t care less. She was filing my nails so aggressively. I had to tell her to stop because it hurt. Again, she could care less. She was doing my nails with distain. Helen, who did my toes was OK, but I left with my manicure, being shiny on all of my toes, except, my big toes. Who knows what was going on there. Also, I have to say, it was filthy in there today. The floor was filthy. The extra a pedicure chairs that were being used were filthy. Even going back to the restroom felt sketchy. It was really dirty. Very disappointing. Don’t know if I’m going back.

Jordan Hancock My nails were in very bad shape, very broken and very cracked deep down in the nail bed. My nail tech Tracy was the most gentle person I could have trusted to help me. Completely pain free and she listened to everything I asked. She was patient with me and paid great attention to detail. She worked with me to get the nails I desired that would help them grow again without causing future damage to my already fragile nails. If you are in pain and need someone to help you desperately, look no further. 10/10 would highly recommend. Thank you Tracy!

Nohemi Lugo Used to love it until my nail girl moved. I kept trying it out but the last few times I went my ingrown toe nail wasn’t taken out right only damaged more and the very last time I went the nail polished was peeling the very next day.

Zaterah Universe I tried this nail salon for the first time. Had to grade average experience. I paid $60 for Gen nail w/ French tip. I had a previous nail polish that was painted over and not properly removed. She didnt even remove any cuticles like they usually do... No lotion at the end. Sent home w/ drier hands and cuticles. Would not recommend it for the price.

Jacklynn Schultz Vu and Hannah are THE BEST!!!!! They recreate any photo I bring them and make my nails look amazing! Also- they last FOREVER! No chipping, no breaking just fabulous nails all the time. When I set a new appointment, I don’t go in because I need to, I go in because I WANT TO! It’s enjoyable for me to be able to ask them to put a fun design on my nails. They are both so nice and work great as a husband and wife team!!!! Thank you Vu and Hannah! See you in 3 weeks!!! Also- Vu has great recommendations for new ways to maintain your nails rather than the old school gel!! Go to them for fun designs, great service and to try something new!

Courtney Marley Horrible experience and incredibly upset considering I’ve always had good service here. Today, I had a new person doing my manicure and I asked for a full set which I always do. I typically get my nails shorter in length due to working in the hospital but today, the nail person proceeded to file them down all the way to my skin so there was absolutely no more nail left. She even began taking off my skin as there was no more nail left to file. Not sure why I paid for a tip when the entire tip was then removed. It’s incredibly disappointing given the price charged. The price of the same services also varies by $10ish or more dollars every visit I’ve noticed. Will not be returning.

Sheera I have a really great experience here today with the sisters, Julie and Aurea (might have gotten her name wrong). But both so nice, detailed, clean, and didn’t rush me at all. Friendly staff. These are just some things I look for. I love it. Very impressed and I highly recommend.

Joyce Xavier This “rush-through” salon caters to very elderly clientele who can’t see anything! So sad. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here! I went in and they rushed me through for a mani/pedi in 45 mins. Not a good experience at all. Difficult to believe as they were very slow on this particular Weds. afternoon. “David” drilled my long, natural nails and told me they were acrylics! They were just gel polished. He drilled hard and hurt my nail beds. Tiffany, who did my pedicure, left dead skin around my cuticles and polish on my cuticles. Another push-them-through desert salon. Never again! I regret the $100 they charged me.

Shiela C Have had many manicures and pedicures. And their service is good. However the owner Nina needs an attitude adjustment. She does not u deter and customer service. Called this am - no answer so thought I would take a chance of dropping in. Asked if I could get a quick manicure. She asked me how quick as there are only 3 of them and all busy. Her attitude is beyond belief of anyone that owns a business with customers. She was defensive and down right rude. Last time I will go here. Convenient but not worth the attitude.

Sara Chavez I have been going here for years and Tony is the best. He always takes good care of me. I have really long nails and it takes 2 sometimes 3 hours to do my nails. I never feel rushed and my nails and toes always look great. Thank you Tony!!!

Randall Degges Great salon! Right next to the Tesla supercharger. My wife and I had some time to kill so came here to relax and get our nails done. The staff were nice and the pedicures we got were excellent. Its a little pricey but hey, you pay for quality!

Danny Thornton These guys were the only ones willing to get us in as walk-ins while on vacation. The place was friendly and very talkative. The patrons helped us find restaurants to dine at while visiting as well. Prices were very affordable and the people very knowledgeable. If I lived here, I would be back.
