Alina Arsaeva I’ve been living in the Bay Area for almost two years, and I finally found a salon that I’m completely happy with :) I got my nails done there for the first time, and the result was incredible - perfect cuticle care and super neat polish. I haven’t had my nails treated this well in a long time. Huge thanks to the girls for both the amazing result and the cozy atmosphere they create in the salon! You walk in and immediately feel the good vibes :) These photos were taken three days after my visit, and my manicure still looks like new even though I’ve been cleaning and doing dishes! It’s like magic :)

Gabriella K Update: As this is my 3rd appointment with this salon. I came to see Olga for the second time. She is very efficient and does beautiful work. I was just disappointed from my last service because at the end of my appointment I was informed I needed to pay an extra $30 on top of the $110 plus tip I was already going to pay due to the fact that Olga fixed all my nails that had a slight curve and straightened them out. I think I would have been more receptive to the additional charge if I was told about it up front and not when I was checking out. Even though they gave me a slight discount to $20, I couldn’t tip as much as I would have liked to due to me always budgeting these appointments. This is my second time seeing her and she never mentioned that she would need to do that type of correction next time. I made another appointment in November because they always deliver consistent work, but I will be trying a different technician next time. As you can see my natural nails have grown so much! Trust the process. Original review: I have always wanted to try a Russian manicure and was excited to see a new shop opening in Menlo Park. I booked an online appointment with Farah. I was warmly greeted by the owner and her staff. Offered refreshments and was taken a few minutes before my appointment time. Farah was EXTREMELY thorough! Her attention to detail wasn’t only spot on but you could tell she really loves what she does. My nail are in bad shape. The gel builder technique will strengthen my natural nails and get them to the health and length I want. Booked my next appointment before leaving. I can’t wait to trust the process to get to my nail goals! Thanks Farah!

C L Meew Studio is my monthly therapy session. A beautiful studio that offers the optimum environment for practicing self-care. The attention to detail is awesome and I feel safe knowing they only use high quality gels/polishes. So far I’ve only had appointments with Anna and Maria-both incredibly sweet. Since coming here I have been able to grow out my natural nails. No acrylic, no gel-x

A Hewmun FR SPA is a newly opened beauty parlor in the heart of Redwood City, I highly recommend to you. This hip body shaping boutique is a stone throw away from Whole Foods along side El Camino with plenty of parking. I eat very little, run a 10K every Friday and walk about 250K steps every month. However with age, my fatty belly armor is persistently saying hi in the mirror. I wanted gone. Research pointed the way to the newly opened FR SPA. Upon being greeted by the lovely owner Fernanda I felt immediately in good hands. I was offered a beverage from a range of tasty treats and accompanied to a chic treatment room. Fernanda carefully unleashed a battery of pleasant treatments onto to my less desired belly fat. While working hard, she encouraged me that there is a slimmer me just a few weeks away. Fernanda periodically inquired about my level of comfort and well being, again I felt in good hands. The prices are just about what you expect from a professional SPA. If you do not struggle with stubborn belly fat, you can get all kinds of treatments. I will be back to continue with treatments and check my progress.

My manicurist, Sophia did a great job, taking her time to get my nail to perfection. By the way, they have 20% off for all the services until the end of the month. If you need to get your nails done, come give it a try, you wont be disappointed! Thank you for doing a great job today, well definitely come back to get my manicure done sometime next week.

Hilary Holmquest I’ve been going to this place for years and think they are the best in the area. Even though I moved farther away from their location, I continue to come back because they do a better job than any other place I’ve tried. Recommend these lovely people for sure!

Katherine Williams I went today to get a fill and a pedicure. The service was amazing. They were very attentive and brought me more water after I finished. Ricci Whitebear74 A guy walks in there with a couple of tattoos and they treat him like a peasant. pretty racist in there so it definitely fits the area. Im in Apache off the reservation you would think it would be a little bit more respectful when theyre on my land. Im half heartedly joking but they really do judge us based on how we look. I was going to buy a full treatment for my friends mom. They just were not very warm or welcoming. Definitely have to look a certain way.

Lata Ma’afu only one nail tech that i like there.. the last time I was there with my daughter, The two nail techs who were giving us a mani and pedi were unprofessional!! maybe because we were the only brown people in the salon smh!! they do great work, but unprofessional when it comes to talking about their customers.. never going there again, but thanks for the great pedi!! my two stars go to the only nail tech I like there, wish I could give her 10 stars

Kuenley Chiu This is a reliable, high quality place to go for a mens haircut, even though it is also a nail/foot salon. Kim especially gives a great haircut, will fit you in at almost any time (except Tuesdays), and has very convenient hours during your lunch or right after work. $18 for a good quality haircut is not bad in this area, and allowed me to end my search for someplace that I could just count on whenever I need one. Of course they also do womens hair and styling too. Will be going back here for sure. Easy parking and friendly staff.

Amber Fu I just had the best manicure of my life. I don’t usually post reviews, but I had such an excellent experience that I feel the need to share. I came in for a walk-in gel manicure, and despite being pretty busy, they accommodated and squeezed me in. My nail tech was Mina (I hope I am spelling her name correctly), and she was wonderful. I was extremely impressed by her attention to detail and how careful and thorough she was, while still maintaining a high level of deftness and efficiency. This will definitely be my go to nail salon from now on. Thank you TOE!

I also took my 10yr old granddaughter and Stephanie did a beautiful job on her nails. The salon is clean, great location, and the entire staff is super friendly. I cannot recommend it enough. gisselle tamayo I’ve been to my fair share of bad nail salons, but as soon as I found Creative Nails Spa, I haven’t turned back since. I absolutely love this nail salon! I’ve been coming here for a couple of months now and I can’t say enough good things about this place! The staff is always welcoming and friendly, I am always able to book an appointment, and the prices are super reasonable. Pro tip: they DON’T charge extra for gel polish!!! I know a lot of local businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, so if you’re looking for a great local nail salon to support, 10/10 I’d recommend Creative Nails Spa!

Eric Racadag This is the best nail spa EVER! Every time my wife and I go here, I feel comfortable being myself - even when I got nasty feet or ingrowns. We’ve been here about 15 different times. The staff are all respectful and pay attention to detail. I’m a running back for one of the football teams, and I definitely invest in my feet. By the way, the Deluxe Pedicure is worth the extra dough. Lastly, don’t worry about all the bad reviews you see on Yelp or Google. They are all probably made by the Belmont or Silicon Valley wives. Koko Ko Salon new owners/workers are not up to any professional standards. First of all- its painful: not so gentle touch plus they dont pay attention to client specifics despite constant (10 per 2 hands) reminders- the manicurist stubbornly tried cutting very thin and non-existing cuticles completely disregarding my request and reminders not to. Gel manicure started to fall off on day 4. I went back and she repainted 1 nail. On day 6 all gel fell off from all nails on right hand. Went back again and she repainted all 5 of them. On day 14 gel cover started popping out one by one. Its day 20 since my original visit (day 13 since repainting the right hand) - the gel is completely gone from both hands

Christa Padugar Not sure why Jenny has good reviews. Maybe its because I just did a regular manicure and pedicure but it was such a botched job. She did my manicure like she was in a rush but there was literally no one waiting. So many missed spots on the edges of my nails. The main reason Im giving a one star though is because of the pedicure. My pinky toenail is essentially split in half and Jenny basically pulled that part of my toenail which really hurt. I yanked my foot from the pain and told her it hurt because she pulled my toenail but I didnt get an apology. A professional would be able to differentiate a nail vs dead skin/cuticle. Then on one of my big toes she made it bleed when she was removing the cuticles and I didnt get an apology for that either. I definitely wont be back.

Rocio Bohn Ok, I’m an Atherton resident for over 20years. Cindy’s is a local nail spa in Atherton. It’s a nice looking spa, although it is small, it’s seemingly clean and convenient for me so I decided to give them a try. My first manicure/pedicure there was outstanding. There is a gentleman who works there who provides excellent service. I thought it would be my regular spot. The next time I went to my dismay, I noticed they were changing out the nail polishes; I mean they changed out all the polishes. Needless to say, my polish didn’t last more than 48 hours, and that was a gel manicure with tip. I figured it was the polish and decided I’d only go there when it was convenient. I’d go every now and then with low expectations. I went recently on 3/6 for a gel-chrome manicure and pedicure. $135 total, not including tip- which is pretty average these days. First,for my pedicure She had left soap in the back of my calf so I had to ask her to clean that off. The water was also too hot. I had asked her to make it cooler than when it was too cold ahead ask her to make it hotter, and it was clear that I was just an inconvenience for her (Naturally, I wish I didn’t have to ask for all of these corrections- like get it together) And every time I did make a request, she was speaking another language clearly talking about me. Ultimately, I just wasn’t happy with the shape of my nail (Which I’ve never had a problem with) somehow she made them look crooked, and acted as though that was simply the shape of my nails: the pushback and attitude I received, caught me off guard. She started talking in another language, clearly suggesting that my nails were simply crooked if not something worse, or that I was simply being difficult.. for asking for what I wanted. At the end of the pedicure, one of the nails just was too crooked for me to tolerate so they had to kind of shave down one of the sides to the bottom to make it look straight, which was a fine fix, although it did remove some of the chrome, which is understandable, but was not reapplied. I let it go. The very next day, my gel manicure chipped. I felt as though my time was wasted, and it was pretty disappointing to find the manicure had chipped given it had only been less than 24hrs, and that I got it in advance so I wouldn’t have to go in on my birthday. I had plans on my birthday out of town. I couldn’t go in to have it fixed that day, nor would I have wanted to. I called and while the owner, Cindy herself, is the one who did my manicure, she was completely unapologetic, although she did offer to fix the ONE nail (she emphasized) on Monday- the earliest I could go in. Cindy Could not have cared less about my time, or the fact that I have a chipped manicure for my birthday; offered no explanation, or had any genuine concern. She stated that they would “fix that one nail on Monday.” It just didn’t sit well with me, so I ended up calling back, asking very calmly for some kind of explanation as to why this might’ve happened or why I was so quickly disregarded. I get it, people are busy, but just generally while I was there, I did not feel very welcome like they’re very entitled at this place, they speak in another language when you make requests for what you are paying for, and they’re clearly talking about you. It was very uncomfortable. Cindy actually resorted to yelling at me on our call and hanging up the phone. So an apology would have been nice. FYI, I paid full price for my manicure and pedicure and did not request any kind of refund. I do not plan to return to the salon, and I would not recommend anybody go here unless you’d like to be mistreated. It was just an unsettling experience.

Ji Choi This place has very pleasant feeling when you walk in. The owner seems to be paying a lot attention in cleanliness and sanitation. The stylists pay a lot of attention to customer. I usually get plain manicure and it lasts for a very long time. I got mine done about 4 weeks ago and they still look great! I strongly recommend this place!

Aaron Konzek This is the best Russian pedicure nail salon in the San Francisco bay area. The attention to detail is unmatched compared to other places. They also seem to use high-quality and clean tools. It is by appointment only so no walk ins but its worth the wait. For a Russian-style manicure/pedicure this is top notch

Barbara Nelson Nails4U in Foster City is a great nail salon. I have used many nail salons in the San Mateo area over the years and this is by far the best! I called this morning and made an appt for this afternoon. Two friends referred me to this salon and have also had wonderful experiences. When I arrived I didnt have to wait(a big plus) and the pedicure was so relaxing, I never felt rushed and they did a fantastic job. The salon is clean and well organized. The husband and wife team are professional and courteous. This is definitely the salon I will always use in the future!

I even specifically asked for the shortest nails while still keeping the almond shape and they’re simply the perfect length. I felt so relaxed I started dozing off mid manicure. Everyone in their team are hard working, professional nail technicians. The salon is clean and organized. The nail tools and spa chairs are constantly sanitized. The cost of all their services are moderately priced for San Carlos. Gift certificates can be purchased as presents for loved ones. I’ve brought family and friends to the spa and all of them had a wonderful experience and you will too. ☺️

Josephine Averilla Lisa at Royal Nail Salon is awesome. She greets all clients as family. She pays attention to both my pedicure and manicure needs. She gently massages your feet and hands to bring you to a calm and relaxed state. The calming music helps to quiet your mind. Victoria Tuiono MY “Gel” POLISH TOES WERE MESSED UP AND MY NAIL CAME OFF IN LESS THAN 24 HRS‼️ If you want a specific design done for your nails DO NOT come here. I asked for a medium square set with an airbrush design and left with long stiletto cat eye nails. Before she started on my nails she confirmed that she was able to do the design and then starts off by gluing stiletto tips. As she tries to cut them into a square shape, I would have been left with a short square set so I told her to just leave them as is because I did not want to go through the pain of removing the glued tips. (Gelx set) she then continues to give me a cat eye design that looks nothing like the picture. As she does my toes I ask for gel polish. She has me under the light for a while, while she is just on her phone. After my toes were done drying she said that they were fine and I was able to put my shoes on. When I’m getting ready to pay she says all these xtra fees and said my total was $150. Was NOT expecting to pay that much especially since I didn’t get the design I asked for. I get to my car and the polish on my toes were completely ruined! Why would she put my nails under the UV light if it was regular polish????? And she told me it was gel! Then when I get home my pinky nail comes off by itself 4 HOURS LATER. I call the next day to ask for a refund and they only want to give me $40 back and I have to take off my nails. (Which I don’t mind taking them off) So I basically paid $110 for a regular polish pedicure! As I’m asking for a refund the lady is yelling at me as if it’s my fault. I totally understand that she should get some money for her labor because she was working but I should also be refunded more than $40. I came here to finally treat myself and I’m disappointed that I paid my hard earned money on TWO messed up sets.

summer jane Worst pedicure ever. Total waste of money. I could have done a better job myself. First of all they cut my toe nail WAY too short on the side! It turned white immediately and might fall off. It hurts everyday. Then the paint job was awful. I picked a hot pink but it turned out to be red. The owner did the hearts on my toes then painted a glitter coat over I did not pick out and that smeared the colors together. So the neon yellow did not turn out right either. There are a lot of other Nail places, like one right across the street wish I had went there instead. Cost $50 for a horrible job. I could have done better myself at home, and now I have to go pay someone else to fix this mess. I see why this shop was empty. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Gina Okeefe No waiting. Thats because they suck. Nails broke & cracked within 5 days. Ive been doing my nails for 20 year (s). So I know how how long they should last, what breaks them & when a bad job is done. 1) after I had my nails done they crack within 5 days I went back. She said I need a new set, but I had a fill. Several Broke within days, I glued them and several more broke the next week. I PULLED THEM OFF thinking" ok maybe I need a new set". What back got a full set with regular polish (not gel) the price was $30 (on the WALL) she changed me $35. This is not the first time this has happened. I tip $10 always. So I think this is greedy. 2) Ill be Damm!! 7 nails broke over the first week and a half. She told me the previous time. I wasnt being careful enough or something like that. I dont know about you, but Ive been doing the same thing, job, dishes, laundry, cooking etc for the last 20 + years Ive been doing my nails. Never been told " Caution dont do ANYTHING or your nails Will break off." Youve been warned. Ill travel instead of convenience

Anna Marie Save your money and don’t go to this place. Bad customer service. They do half ass on nails. Got my nails done here twice. The first time I did my nails here it literally only lasted a week I had to go back to get a fill. Now it’s only been 3 days and my nails are already pulling and tugging on my hair! Every time I tell the nail techs that they are missing a spot on either polish or acrylic or how I want my nails they get angry and start raising their voice and stating their opinion then start talking in their language to the next nail tech. Very rude and unprofessional! $40 for a fill? But the price on the chart says $25? Yeah they def add their personal tips to the price! Make sure you do your own math and don’t let them play you

Brenda Cisneros First time getting gel X. They look and feel like my natural nail. Pedicures and manicures are also executed amazingly. Found this place a couple years back and always enjoy my experience with them.

Irise Chornes This place has superb reviews but I did not like my services at all. This is not the place to have a natural nail service. This was the quickest mani pedi I ever had. No filing, no shaping, horrible quality products. He used the drill on my nails which was unnecessary. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the guy doing my nails was nice

Lys Salon was nice. Comfortable chairs. We were offered candy and drinks. However the water in my pedicure soak was cold. Took forever for them to add the scented powder to the water. Exfoliation and callus removal was minimal for a $70 pedicure and the hot stone massage was short, probably less than 60 seconds. We were the only people there and our service was still extremely rushed and poor.

Priscilla Great experience here. Sydney is the owner and she is so nice. She also does one amazing pedicure. Ive had my eye brows waxed here too and she does a great job shaping them .

Noah Karr I took mani/pedi combo. Pedicure was ok, no problem with that. Manicure ........ worst that I ever had, my mood is spoiled for the rest of the week. Gel is uneven on my nails, patches here and there, she also cut my cuticle - now it hurts. If you are used to be spoiled with immaculate manicure, better dont even step into this place.

Di Duan Very progressional and skilled technicians! I’ve been doing nails with them for almost a year at their Sunnyvale and this new Redwood City location. The nails last a couple of weeks with no chip! Definitely recommend.

Jennifer Xu I absolutely LOVE this nail shop!! I’ve been to their Sunnyvale location and just recently stopped by this new Redwood City location. Both places are very similar and the studio is super nice, clean, aesthetic, and the nail technicians are very skilled. In the past, all the salons I’ve been to have been quite rough and injured my nails, but this place is the only one that takes their time and is very careful. They actually cater to your nail type. Highly recommend!!

Yeni Y I actually love the nail techs in both salons (Sunnyvale and RWC) but my last experience here removing gel nails was not great. I got them done in the Sunnyvale location and went to RWC to get them removed ($30) and the technician filed my natural nails so thin that 3 of my nails completely cracked/split the next day. The nail shapes were a bit wonky and she didn’t oil my cuticles or anything either. Pretty disappointed in the overall quality of care but I tipped $5 anyways. Regretting that decision as I’ve just clipped all my nails down completely in an effort to preserve them from further damage…not the usual quality I’m used to from this salon. At other salons, if you get your nails done there they usually will do free or discounted gel removal. Their nail art is still great but the aftercare/removal process leaves a lot to be desired. I advise getting your nails done here and getting them removed somewhere else that will care for your natural nails a bit better for $30
