Alé S I had a great experience at Exotic Nails, I was able to get an appointment 20 minutes in advance, showed up with beat nails, and Tony the owner took great care of me. He took great care with my gel colored French mani. The space is upstairs in Cobblestone plaza (there is an elevator), is warm and cozy, manicure chairs have a beautiful view of the lake. I will definitely return!

Ava Chiao Local mom n pop business. Hung and Tom were the owners. They are very friendly and professional. They do your nails in a timely manner. There’s only two that works so call ahead to plan your services. They make sure your nails dry in between coats for long lasting finish.

Erin Tempest While on vacation, my partner, Peter, and I wanted to get pedicures. We play soccer and so our feet can get pretty beat up. Knowing the weekend was coming, we called to make an appointment (I highly recommend you do that!). The owners were absolutely meticulous with our pedicures. They were friendly and outgoing and made me feel like we had been friends for a long time. The do great work (no polish on my cuticles or toes even though I have teeny tiny nails). Definitely come see these wonderful people!

Banafsheh Sadeghi Hun and Tony, wife and husband who operate the place were very kind and made me feel pampered. They have a great color selection and their services are very reasonably priced.

red_lips 1768 I went here to get my haircut as a last minute thing before going on vacation as my usual place was booked up. To begin, they cut my hair really short and thinned it a lot. I’m not really 100% mad about that, but it is a little annoying. I’m happy with how most of my hair looks, but my bangs look absolutely horrid. They’re really choppy and don’t blend well into the rest of my hair. They look like someone did a hack job and cut them with the scissors sideways. I had to get scissors and fix them myself, as they don’t blend in. Kinda disappointing since I spent over $100 :(

Jazze Hazel I was in town for my friends birthday and decided to get my nails done here at visions salon. When one of the lady’s started doing my nails she asked me what I wanted and I told her Chevron French tip coffin shape. She didn’t know how to do coffin shape and suggested I do square so I was like ok whatever even though I wanted coffin. She put on different tips because she ran out of the same tips and I did not like it and I told her that and then she said it would look better after she put the acrylic on. so I trust her and let her put the acrylic on and they made sure they charged me after she put the acrylic on. They charged me $95 for a full set that I really did not like at all so I didn’t even let them finish and put nail polish on. I left very unhappy. And didn’t get a refund or any type of apology for my nails that I think looked like they should of charged me $25. And they were being extremely rude about it. I do not recommend this place.

Jan Peeks I stayed at Harveys and called down to see if i could get ny nails painted. I didnt need a manicure or nails put on JUST POLISH! I asked if she also had time to remove toe polish and paint toenails. She did. I picked gel polish and they looked nice, nothing fancy just a nice paint job. And a nice lady that did them. Im use to spending money BUT I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I WAS CHARGED $100. I will never use the services at the salon again. Nor will I reccomend them. P.S. That was 10 days ago and all of the paint has peeled off of my fingers already.

Ben Taggart Got my first post-quarantine haircut here. Doug was awesome and the haircut was just as good as the place I was going in SF that costs 50% more. Easy to schedule online and they have pretty rigorous sanitation procedures. All the other reviews here are by women and I know some guys feel weird about getting a haircut at a "salon" vs a barber shop, but if youre a dude looking for a great haircut in the area definitely go here!

Debby H Doug and Valorie are both amazing. I had my eyebrows waxed by Doug he was meticulous. I have never had anyone pay so much attention to my brows My husband had his haircut the last day we were in town. Somehow the online appointment didnt register, yet they still fit him in. Again, Doug was meticulous even though he had other clients coming in. LOVE ❤️❤️❤️this salon. If we weren’t from Mass I would be back in a heartbeat.

jessica peterson I’ve been there twice now and they are SO nice! I usually do my own nails, but decided to treat myself for my birthday. That gel mani lasted 5 weeks with no touchups, so I decided to go back. So far it’s a week and a half with no touchups. I will continue to go back there when I feel like treating myself. They are wonderful!

Laura Waal They didnt leave a good impression when I went last time but I thought Id give them another chance. I shouldnt have. They were horrible. Started late, was rude and not nearly as good as my hometown place. Skip the frustration and pick a different spot!

Barbara Best massage I have ever had!!! The first therapist to release the knots across my shoulders. Another visit I tried his hot rock massage. He uses lots of them and it was a wonderful experience. Was so relaxed I kept falling asleep. You will not be disappointed !!!!

Nicole Beedy Worst nail job and experience! I came in to get a fill and pedicure. The pedicure was great but the nail techs did a sloppy job, argued with everything I asked and weren’t able to do the simple design I asked for. I explained what I wanted prior to starting. If they couldn’t or didn’t want to do it they should’ve said that and I would’ve gone somewhere else. I was literally happier with my nails when I walked in and they had over 3 weeks of outgrowth! The lady was rude as hell! If you want amateur work pick this place! The pictures below are after over 3 hours of work! How embarrassing!

Jennifer Rudnick First time here. Good experience overall. Thought dip was $50 and my total was $55 so not sure about the extra $5. Victor was my nail tech. Took his time and cleaned up my cuticles which isn’t the norm when I get dip. We will see how long my nails last but they look good! Would go back.

Kimberly Walker I’m thrilled to share my experience at Nail Retreat. It’s my first time here, and I’m absolutely blown away by Whitney’s skills. I’m a bit of a nail perfectionist, and I always want my nails to look thin and natural. But Whitney went above and beyond to achieve that perfect look. I highly recommend you visit this place and ask for Whitney. She’s an absolute pro! The salon is also spotless, which adds to the overall experience.

Alexandra Trent Had been going here for about two years with no issues. They do a really good pedicure and almost always have availability. Had my nails done last weekend and they started bubbling(lack of better words) and my two thumbs bent off. I came back in and they re-sat me with the same tech who did them last time. He told me he was going to fix the thumbs and just re paint. I told him they were like melting off and he seemed annoyed I wanted them removed. He took them off and said i was done. I went up to the front to say how uncomfortable I was that I just had paid for my nails and that he was annoyed and that he didn’t offer a real solution. The lady who runs the place said some of the techs need to know better or that maybe I had taken a supplement or had oil on my nails. I said I wanted a refund for my nails after she offered be a $30 gift card because she said I wore them for a week. I said again I wanted a refund and didn’t like how things were handled. She said she couldn’t do that. I said I don’t want to come back after they handled this situation this way and she said she would give me $50 refund and said it was best if I don’t come back. Taylor Berwick I went here 4 times in the last week trying to get my nails done. I had them taken off and had to wait a day and come back to get gel x. Then my nails fell off almost completely twice. I eventually got them taken off and they did not give me a refund. Do not go here.

Lindsey Lewis KB Nails is a great place to get your nail done! Prices are comparable. You can make an appointment and they also take walk-ins. They are good at quoting times and not making you wait forever. Lindsay does my nails and she is wonderful, sweet and listens to what I want. Overall, I am very happy with this Nail salon.

Olivia Tyber booked a appointment and didn’t help us till an hour later and told us a price and then later charged more and one person told me to go home and file my own nails because i was too picky. and got the worst design job done and was aggressive with us and rude and cut our fingers also paid 100 for those. and hair

RB Elements Day Spa is a premier full service day spa nestled on the shores of South Lake Tahoe. They specialize in stone therapy, sports massage, Swedish massages, Reiki energy, CBD infused treatments, eyelash extensions, clinical skin care treatments, full body waxing, couples treatments, and much more! I visited Elements Day Spa for the first time the other day for a couples massage and it was fantastic! Now, I’ll be honest, Elements Day Spa is fairly deceptive from the outside, because it’s a part of a hotel. There is a small sign on the outside of the log cabin based hotel that says, “Elements Day Spa,” on the second (2nd) floor. One of the most wonderful components of Elements Day Spa is that it a water front spa. There is a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe from roughly every massage / spa room. Imagine being massaged and having a beautiful scenery outside of the window. Another cool feature is that if you check in on Yelp, you’ll receive $5 off any service. Now I must say, Elements is expensive, but, every little but helps. The couples massage was AMAZING! I was experiencing shoulder pain and after my massage, it was gone. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you want to relax.

Danae Wible I was looking for a “spa day”. Many places in Tahoe offer massage, although minimal amenities. Elements is nice because there is access to the lodge’s hot tub and sauna. The sauna was having some technical difficulty, although still quite warm. Above all, I had the best massage of my life, and I have had my fair share of massages. Stephan was truly amazing. Very intuitive, perfect pressure, and ambiance. 10/10. Such a wonderful retreat while on vacation. Highly recommend.

This massage was a little pricier than I normally spend on myself literally ever but I thought it will be so worth it and will be the best massage of my life. Ive had a very rough year so I wanted to treat myself. Ive gotten a lot of different massages at a lot of different places. So Im not newbie. I specifically requested a guy because I wanted more pressure and a deep tissue massage. It was so disappointing. Literally the worst massage of my life. The guy looked young so I dont know if he didnt have any training or what. So I figured no big deal Ill just let them know how I feel about my massage with a lower tip. The guy needs a new profession because massage therapist is just not for him I can tell you that. But turns out a 22% gratuity is automatically added against your will so you cant even adjust based on service. On the flipside my facial was great even if they did upcharge me but at least that service was worth the money and my skin felt great after. Id avoid this place and go somewhere else

Brooke Seaney We had such a relaxing couples massage. A glass of champagne to start was lovely. The jacuzzi was closed and for that they threw in a free foot scrub and scalp treatment. The amenities were amazing and we stayed the full hour afterwards to enjoy them. It’s a little pricey but we went during our honeymoon and it was entirely worth it.

Mia Voss The spa is located on the 2nd Floor at the Lodge at Edgewood Tahoe. I love how its set back and not in a high traffic area of the hotel. I had a 50 minute Purifying Facial - heres the menu description: "Utilizing powerful probiotics, Eminence has created a safe and effective regiment that deeply cleans skin, while improving acne and texture, leaving you with a fresh complexion." There is a 80 minute option as well - if you have the time & budget, I suggest go for the longer treatment! (i say go for any longer option, personally). My treatment was so relaxing that I slept through half of it but my treatment provider was amazing - I was so relaxed, I forgot her name! I had to rush to another appointment after my treatment (sad face) so I missed the opportunity to "Sip & Spa" which is an area which is where you "recover" and sip bubbles. Doesnt that sound amazing?! One of my favorite parts is the lounge area. Its co-ed and located right off the dressing rooms. Its super spacious, Instagram-worthy and has a unique view of the front of the hotel & driveway. You can see everything but yet you dont feel "on display". The hot tub is a super nice touch before & after treatment. The Womens & Mens areas each have their own steam room, showers, lockers, etc. You can easily get a treatment & then get ready to head out without having to go back to your room. The spa space is 8500 feet but it feels super cozy and you dont really bump into anyone! Definitely earmark some time for yourself at the spa if you are staying at Edgewood or book an appointment even if you are just in the area. Because.. spa treatments are always the BEST!

Tricia Barcenas My husband and I are staying at Edgewood for our honeymoon. We booked a couples massage and the entire experience was divine. From the smooth check in process, champagne to start, a great tour and assistance from Cari to our amazing massages by Liz and Pamela. We arrived early and while we waited We got in the jacuzzi, enjoyed the complimentary snacks in the co-Ed relaxing lounge which is designed spectacularly and is completely zen. They didn’t miss any details - eucalyptus mist for the shower, comfy robes and towels, flip flops that are your size, and overall spectacular customer service. Big thanks to Liz and Pamela!! HIGHLY recommend.

Taylor Lamm This masseuse made my wife feel extremely uncomfortable with here poor attitude at check in, which led to an awkward message. My wife came back to the room crying which is not what should happen when you spend double the price of other places. They discounted the rate a bit but we still paid over $300.00 for a terrible experience. Edit: Spoke with the spa manager and she is super unprofessional and trashy, to put it kindly.

Robin Wilson I am in South Lake Tahoe for a few weeks and needed to fill on my acrylic nails. I popped in to see if they could fit me in. I was asked to come back in 1/2 hour. The spa in clean and very nicely kept. They did a nice job on my pink acrylics, but for some reason the woman working on me decito mix two pink colors to try and match what was used on my nails... It did not match so I suggested we paint my nails. Good job on nail shape and she was very gentle. Her ability to paint nails was very good. They dont speak very good English so it is very quiet, no small talk. Chairs are very comfortable. I would use them again.

Jackie Wanted to get nails done, I was just wasting time, for up coming trip. I read all reviews and decided since I make my own decision and not let bad or good reviews hinder me from trying some place new, I gave this Salon a shot. Plus its right across the street from where Im staying. I had a fantastic experience. Kennedy did my nails perfectly. Tried a new style of nail and new colors. I love my new set. Its only 10$ more than I would pay at home. Ill go back to them if I come back to town.

CiCi Cross Andrew is by far the best nail tech I have encountered in South Lake. He is very gentle with the tools, always listens to what I want, and is incredibly professional in his work. I go in every few weeks for a fill and am always very happy with his work. 10/10 recommend.

Maya Krupa Love the Y Nail Spa! I’ve tried a ton of nail salons in Tahoe and this is by far my favorite Nancy is so sweet, gentle on your nails and detail oriented. My nails last forever and always feel / look natural - there’s no uneven edges or weird spots. I get a ton of complements - she has a bunch of unique colors/styles to choose from Yes there is a $25 deposit and only makes appts a day or so in advance, that’s fine for me. Prices are fair. Finally found my go to nail spot!

Kacie Nancy is truly a gem and I’m so glad I found her here in SLT! She’s a one woman shop, but I stopped by yesterday afternoon without an appointment, and she was able to fit me in for a deep red dipped manicure for the fall. Previously, I’ve been getting my nails done at another larger salon, so I was a bit nervous to try something new, but Nancy’s dipped manicure was far and above any manicure I’ve had elsewhere. I was so impressed with her attention to detail, artistic eye, and the pride she takes in her work. She truly took her time and gave me a beautiful rounded apex that I’ve never had in the past and didn’t realize was possible with a dipped manicure. I also appreciated her honesty— I asked for something fairly specific, but she wasn’t shy about giving advice on a shape that would look better for me (& I have to say she was right). We had a great chat. It is so clear that she loves her clients here in Tahoe, and cares about them deeply— Looking forward to working with her moving forward and am grateful to have found someone who is focused on ensuring I’m taken care of and leave happy with what I’m paying for ❤️ I will be back!

Jillian Sullivan Nancy is the best! This is a long overdue review but I saw her last year before my elopement in Lake Tahoe. She did the best manicure/pedicure I’ve ever had and was meticulous in making sure my nails would look perfect in photos for my wedding day. I’ve never had anyone take such good care of my nails - by far the best manicure and pedicure I’ve ever had! Because she does her scheduling the way she does, she isn’t rushed and spends her time making sure she does a great job and doesn’t need to rush for the next person (because there wasn’t anyone else there waiting to be seen - it was just me!). Would definitely recommend.

Katie Randall I came in for a pedicure after taking a few months of taking a break from this salon because it’s so chaotic every time I come in. While in here today the owners started screaming at a poor woman who was here working from another country just trying to make money for her family. I have never seen anything like this. Employees walked out and were crying stopped doing peoples nails mid manicures. I will never give the owners my business again. This isn’t the first I’ve heard of how they treat their employees and why they go through so many employees. I hope that poor woman can find something better for employment. I have never seen anything so unprofessional and so uncomfortable in my life and I’ve been going to salons for 15 years up here

Rimmpy Dhimaan We were three of us, two men pedicure and manicure and 1 woman pedicure , we spend 200$ plus 10$ tip for each , but for the polish that guy doesn’t know his job, he put the nail pant , because it was thin nail polish so it doesn’t comeout even i ask him if he can do third coat he did , after 15 min i ask him to check my nail polish , he came and said u can put your sandles and he messed up my nail pant while putting the sandles then he fixed it so fast it didn’t come up even , i showed him he said if u wait for 5..10 min he can put one more coat, i said no because i have to go somewhere because we are visitor we already plan ahead , i asked him he is has spray to dry it fast he has it , he spray right away when u put third coat. I mean do u even know how to put the nail paint ? It looks mad because he has to fix the nail.

rochele mcnamee Just so everyone is aware at Dazzle nails Tony just yelled at me for being undecided on a nail tip color for Easter asking his opinion before he ever applied acrylic and he got so mad because I changed my mind on the color of my index and thumb finger. He completely stopped doing my nails and I left like this. Unreal! Nancy at the Y nails saved me!!! She’s amazing!!
