swapnika The Organ Pipes National Park is a fascinating spot for nature lovers and geology enthusiasts! The highlight is definitely the Organ Pipes rock formation, made from columnar basalt formed around 2.5 to 3 million years ago due to volcanic activity. The steep descent from the car park on a gravel road leads you directly to this formation, and while I would have loved a more dramatic reveal, they are still stunning.
Once at the formation, take a moment to walk a bit further right from the viewing deck. Youll get a closer look at the hexagonal rocks and plates, which really helps you appreciate how these natural wonders were formed.
There are three main formations to explore in the park: the Organ Pipes, Rosette Rock, and the Tessellated Pavement. The walk to the Organ Pipes takes about 20 minutes, to Rosette Rock around 40 minutes, and to the Tessellated Pavement roughly 1 hour in total. Overall, its a beautiful and peaceful place, well worth the visit.

Azhar This is the highlight of this national park.
700m walk from parking area. Hike back can be tiring if unfit, steep incline.
Would recommend visiting around sunset to see the warm colours on the rocks

Kia Yang A Must-Visit Nature Spot - The Organ Pipes Viewing Area:
What a delightful experience visiting the Organ Pipes National Park and the stunning Organ Pipes Viewing Area!
The walk to the viewing spot is peaceful and well-maintained, surrounded by native flora and the sounds of birdsong, which made for a relaxing and refreshing outing.
Once you arrive at the viewing area, the sight of the Organ Pipes is breathtaking. These incredible basalt columns, formed naturally by ancient volcanic lava cooling and cracking over thousands of years, are a true marvel of geology. Its amazing to see such a unique formation up close and appreciate the raw power of nature that shaped it.
The park is well-equipped with a designated picnic area, perfect for enjoying a packed lunch amidst the serenity of nature. However, its important to note that there are no rubbish bins, so visitors are encouraged to take their rubbish home and help keep this beautiful space clean for everyone.
Whether youre here for a leisurely walk, a picnic, or simply to admire the stunning natural formations, the Organ Pipes Viewing Area is a gem worth visiting. Highly recommend for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape.
