Brady Wade If you have a minor cold you may be ok, anything worse of a chronic condition youd better find another doctor. Also, be prepared to hav a very difficult time getting referred to a specialist, Dr. Aijian will just keep feeding you prescriptions, he doesnt listen to your concerns & hell act as if hes a specialist rather than send you to one. Unfriendly bedside manners and his staff shows little concern or compassion. His office doesnt return calls in a timely manner either,unorganized,etc. could go on but wont. There are too many other good choices out there for a General Practitioner.

Ben Siebert Dr. Aijian is an intelligent, well informed, and thorough doctor. He is a bit old school in only the most positive way, in that he actually takes time with his patients to ask questions, give suggestions, and thoroughly describe his prognosis - a breath of fresh air in this day where most doctors schedule only 3 min per patient. I have known Dr. Aijian for 9 years and recommend him highly.

Cody Reid Dr. Aijian is a joy to see, he is busy but that is because spends great quality time with each of his patients making sure they are thoroughly taken care of. He gives each one of his patients the one on one time that they truly deserve. He also has an amazingly sweet staff that helps make the office a warm welcoming place!

Liam Giat Best doctor in town, hands down. His ability to figure out what’s wrong is uncanny. He is straightforward, incredibly knowledgeable and gets it done. The office staff is amazing and truly cares. Brandy and Gary are so kind. Excellent doctor with excellent staff.

Sam Hembree Was very impressed with Dr. Murdoch. He was very knowledgeable and expressed the importance of a specific plan for good diet and health outside of prescription drugs. Also listened to my concerns and genuinely cared. Thank You!

Observador Had a pleasant experience (as much as that is possible) at Cottage Urgent Care. Got into a fight with a car door and needed to get a nasty cut checked out. I will spare you the details. The staff was welcoming, professional and efficient. Place was clean and they provided a referral and consult for next steps. I took a half a star off only because they should have strongly encouraged masks for those hacking in the waiting room. But I know that request can be met with some salty responses so you just deal with it. Great location for this part of the neighborhood. Parking was easy to figure out. This was the Cottage Urgent Care located on upper State.

Patrick Egan What a nice-looking and welcoming facility. It has a great waiting area and friendly, super-helpful staff at the front desk. And most importantly, the convenience. Right down the street from me with parking, I was in and out in no time. The PA and NP who saw me listened and provided me with a solution right away. Great place to go between visits to my Primary Care Physician

Rolando Mia I’ve had to visit Urgent Care a couple of times now and am impressed with the level of help you get! Great experience from the time Ingot there until I left. I especially want to acknowledge Stephanie and Sharon, who helped and treated me during each my visits. They are so caring, engaging, respectful and attentive to what I needed. Perfect place to go when you need help.

Andrew Petrovsky These hours are NOT ACCURATE FOR WALK-INS. They will turn you away at the door an hour and a half before they close and it is a real shame. The people who work here are nice and professional when you DO get in, and the facility is modern and clean, but its a roll of the dice without and appointment. This has happened to me and others in my family multiple times without explanation. If its after 6:30 in this town looks like youre headed to the ER.

Additionally I was able to book my appointment online easily~ great addition to ‘urgent care’ offerings. The nurse, doctor and techs were all caring, kind and professional. Freddy Hicks Incredibly disappointing. Went to urgent care at Hollister Village, had to come to calle real for the xray tech. Walked in to an incredibly rude front desk person called Dennisse. I let them know i came from the other location and was told Im not only going to have to wait again (after already waiting an hour and a half) and that i would have to wait outside in the cold barely able to breathe while Im not sick. I called Hollister location and they notified them that I can wait inside and when I went back in, Dennisse was still rude and nasty. I also watched her treat other people poorly. This is not the Cottage way and I will be calling her boss directly after my visit

Jorge Sanchez While the medical professionals were fine, the poor customer service and sheer rudeness at the front desk severely impacted my overall experience. I would urge the management to address this issue as it’s a major detractor from what otherwise could have been a more positive visit.

Tyler Was told my insurance was accepted and it was a 70$ co-pay. Which was fine but 2 months later i got a bill saying that i owe another $168 on top of the $70 i already paid plus the $316 the insurance paid (noted on the bill). This visit was to make sure i didnt have walking pneumonia and for a Covid test. This place has shady practices i would go else where.

Tom Hilzer I have nothing but great things today say. It was quick to get in. The staff was great asking all the right questions and getting me the best treatment. The nurse practitioner was thorough, clear and upbeat. I was able to get a quick xray and confirm that my body was ok. They gave me good items to use just in am case and a tetanus booster for good measure. The facility is top notch and easy for me to get to. Overall A++ experience in every aspect. Im so thankful that Cottage has put multiple of these facilities in SB.

Christina Parent I’ve been going to Dr. Kim since I was 5 yrs old, she sees my entire family as well. She’s hands down the best, patient, caring, thorough and really listens well. Her receptionist is equally as nice and always has been for years and years, she knows the health insurance world like no one else. I love how it’s always the same staff when I come in it’s like visiting old friends. They’re well-oiled machine and have their office running a certain way that works for her practice which may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it works well.

Dani Martin I have been lucky enough to have Dr. Kim as my primary for years now and I have always appreciated her knowledgeable but down to Earth care. Despite the fact that she has many patients with too few hours in the day, there have been several times when she has gone above and beyond to help me because she cares about all her patients. I had a particularly bad diagnosis a few years ago, and she actually called me personally, long after business hours were over, to answer questions and advise me. It really helped me get over the shock of the diagnosis and to be more hopeful for the future. I am grateful to have her as my doctor! I also appreciate her office manager Racheal. She also has a lot on her plate but has also gone above and beyond more than once!

Jessica Brown I think she is one of the most thorough and and well informed doctors in the Santa Barbara area. I absolutely love her for the patient and attentive bed side manner she has with her patients. She listens and makes time to hear everything her patients have to say rather than trying to rush you in and get you out because her schedule demands it . You might have a little wait when you arrive for your appointment but it’s only because she gives each patient the full time that they need to feel that they have explained their ailments correctly. Top notch internist , I highly recommend her. And her receptionist is so friendly and personable it’s always a pleasure to see her when I first walk in !

Christa Lyons I feel Dr. Kim is one o the best doctors in Santa Barbara. She takes time to thoroughly get to know you and cares about her patents. She is knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a wonderful, caring doctor!

Beverly K Called to get a first appointment, but was told by the receptionist that I needed to come in with my insurance card before they would give me an appointment. I told them that her attitude wasnt great customer service and I would find another doctor. I wonder if the doctor knows her staff is chasing away new patients?

Graham P My experience with Dr Bolton and Lifestance has been very positive. The receptionist is responsive and helpful whenever I need their help. Dr Bolton has a nice easy going demeanor and really seems to care about the well being of his patients.

Laura Ford I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Bolton and the staff at Lifestance. I appreciate his efficiency and attention to details. His style and approach may not be for everyone (referring to the 1 star reviews) but I personally like that he is direct and modern with his insight. He has been accommodating with teleheath and technology glitches from time to time on my end and is a consistent source of support over the last year + that I’ve been seeing him.

Dave Botsford Excellent doctor! Dr. Bolton has always been very effective and supportive in all aspects of medical care. He’s always able to provide thorough answers to questions in a way that’s easy to understand and remember. Also he’s very comfortable to talk with, many psychiatrists don’t possess the warmth, patience, and ability to relate to people from all different backgrounds like Dr. Bolton.

Bryce Eller Please, no matter how rushed you feel, or how urgent it is, do not see Michael Bolton. He is reckless and dangerous in his diagnosis of mental disorders. For context, this is the only time that a “doctor” has implied that I google it and let them know if they think I agree. This was after 30 minutes of my first appointment. Professionalism and empathy were nonexistent, and I was left worried for his other patients. I encourage you to look elsewhere for help.

David Burrey Dr Laub is excellent. Did my Dad’s cancer surgery and he did very well with the procedure. Now He is my doctor.

Jen Selzler Dr. Laubs practice must be the worst office management in town. It is such a pity, because he is a nice guy but he is rather absorbed in his own world and fails to see that his front office is beyond ineffective. They go as far as covering up a complaint, a fax, erratic paperwork, and fail to pass on messages, no manners, rude to patients on the phone. They never call about test results; you feel as though they are doing you a favor. There is simply no follow up or care. Dr. Laub doesnt call back when there is a concern. Changed urologists due to this lack of care. We shouldve listened to our neighbor and avoid years of being taken for granted. Tip: If you have to deal with Colleen at the front desk, do not trust her.

R N Dr. Goldberg is incredibly thoughtful and caring. Even my 15 year old daughter is her patient. We trust her completely.

Jocelyn Diaz Jackson Medical Group has been my primary care doctor for over 10 years, but I’ll be finding a new one after this experience. After waiting two months for an appointment, they canceled the day before without any proper explanation. The front desk staff is dismissive and unprofessional. The service has gone steadily downhill, and it’s not worth the hassle anymore. The healthcare industry, in general, is crap—they don’t value their patients or their health, so I’ll be looking for a new provider.

Richie D. After having to switch insurance due to an unexpected job change, I was weary of Jackson Medical Group based on reviews. I had made a new established care appointment with Dr. Blanca Fernandez-Kline and got in pretty quickly (2 weeks). A few days prior, I received an appointment confirmation stating I would be seeing PA Jeff Garber instead. Jeff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He listened to my concerns while being patient versus rushed. They use an antiquated website/app (Elation Passport and IntakeQ) which has limited resources besides messaging. For instance, after having a head to toe physical, no specific note covering all body systems existed--even though he definitely performed one. All of the staff (front desk to assistants) were also extremely friendly and helpful. Although it is not the most modern or updated medical office (though they win with the brightest interior paint colors), it suffices. Truly the staff members make up how the medical care what it is anyhow.

Kennedy Flavin They discriminate against disabled people. Please do not go to this doctors office because they will make an appointment with you and cancel it if you request any disability accommodations. After asking for an interpreter. They said that it was impossible, and they would not. Then they accused me of lawsuits after simply asking for my civil rights to be met. A quote/ proof from the email, "Id like to mention that I have a family history of otosclerosis, a fairly common cause of hearing loss that tends to run in families. This personal connection makes me particularly sympathetic to your situation, and Im committed to providing you with the best possible care. However, it is important for me to express that I am deeply offended by the mention of a lawsuit as a potential course of action should we be unable to meet your service expectations".

Maggie Kennedy You have to pay a $500 membership fee to be seen here, even if youre already paying insurance. They are a scam. Find a doctor that will care about you and not just take money from you.

Diana Langley Dr. Echt came to my rescue Monday night for an emergency procedure. Not only was the surgery successful but the incisions small. She was warm, caring, empathetic and able to explain something so complex in terms I could comprehend - even under stressful circumstances. She made me so comfortable, I felt like she had been my Dr for years. She will be from now on. Dr Echt called my daughter immediately after the procedure and showed up early the next morning so that I didnt have to wait around all day. I couldnt be more grateful to have met Dr. Echt.

Santa Barbara Gina I have been a patient of Dr. Echt for the past 4 years. She addresses my concerns with professionalism and courtesy during my annual exams. She tries to connect with her patients in a personal way. I have never felt rushed through an appointment. From time to time Ive had to wait longer than I would have liked, but generally the office staff is fairly efficient. Dr. Echt recently moved her office location to Goleta and has adopted a new practice model so well see how that goes.

Laura Swift I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Echt and her office. She is kind, knowledgeable, is a great listener and has excellent candor- superior bedside manner. As did the nurse who attended to me. I truly felt that Dr. Echt cares about my health. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and will certainly continue to see her in the future.

Rathgrith Maybe she’s great if you’re skinny and fit, but she wouldn’t look at my chart, wouldn’t order any bloodwork for my thyroid as I requested, told me to eat a salad and go on a walk and stop blaming my thyroid for my health issues. I left in tears, and my husband almost went in to have words with her but I just wanted to leave. When I found a new gp, she ran the blood tests for me, and my thyroid was off the charts. Now that I’m getting proper care, I’ve lost weight and feel better than I have in years.

Ramey Echt I have so many positive things to say about Urology Spec of SB, especially Dr Julie Chacko and her staff. My son had a sudden onset of a problem that Urgent Care was not able to diagnose. Dr Chacko was able to see him promptly and spent a full hour talking with him and explaining everything. She was compassionate, thorough, and very approachable. Highly recommend!

Randy Wilson I have only positive things to say about Urology Specialists. I am a patient of Dr Hueber, and he has been very competent, caring, and communicative. He calls/texts me results immediately, explains issues well, and comes highly recommended by other doctors in the area. I have also had pleasant and efficient interactions with the office staff. Highly recommend.

Sarah Anne Blanca the receptionist overall was hard to work with. I felt her customer service was poor and she was quite argumentative when asking simple questions. Hopefully she was just having a bad day, because being rude, to potential clients/patients is obviously away to drive them away and seek health care else where.

Michael Wilson Although I was a patient of Dr. Weinstein, I mainly saw Thomas Bosna. After many intense tests, I was told there was nothing they could do for me. However, the office prescribes my medical supplies. I havent been seen for over a year but needed my prescription renewed (with pending appointment) All I can say is that the office was very unaccommodating and unprofessional regarding medical supplies I cannot live without. Hard to find nice people these days it seems..........

J K The doctor is great, been there before, but the phone receptionist is pretty rude. She hung up on me while I was trying to inquire about an appointment to have a recent discovery of potential melanoma looked at. Was also like talking to a recording... same standard, impersonal answer over and over.

Gordon F Excellent, very experienced dermatologist. You never feel rushed when seeing him. Practical answers for real problems, does not overprescribe unnecessary procedures or tests, yet is thorough. My personal experience with the office staff is good.

Ernesto Revilla I have only great things to say about Dr Chacko and her staff. She performed a procedure to treat a kidney stone and everything went great. She is very professional and very straight about what is happening and what needs to be done. She is very kind and made me feel that I was in great hands from the beginning. I highly recommend her. The staff is also great, it can feel that they kind of rush you when you call, but they are just trying to help you as soon as possible, to be able to help the next person. They are always very busy, but they would answer any questions or concerns. Thank you for the great experience.

Sam Mohamadi Dr Chacko is absolutely amazing. After being admitted to the ER for a huge kidney stone, she made time in her busy schedule to fit me in for a surgery because I was in so much pain and had a trip coming up. Parsley Sage As a female urologist, she can be a disappointment to female patients that may look to her within a specialty dominated by male doctors. She comes across self-entitled, rude, dismissive, unwilling to listen, does not pay much attention to detail, rushes to radical decisions, does not watch out for your overall health; she is very anxious and can really stress you out unnecessarily. It is her way or the highway.

Gamelan Sinar Surya My first visit today with Dr. Garcia at Central Coast cardiovascular group. He is extremely perceptive, professional, and kind. His whole crew--Vickie, Maggie and Jose--are great. Maggie patiently took all my info and gave me an EKG, and Jose gave me very thorough echo cardiogram. Vickie was able to do some creative scheduling to make things easier for me. Jose taught me a lot about how the heart works – it was educational and really cool. Together, they create a very caring and highly competent environment. Highly recommended!

Olga Kovalchuk Took my parents to this office regularly. Dr. Garcia is knowledgeable and can be helpful if the patient is inquisitive. However, during the last visit my mom came in before me and checked in. She was asked a technical question and said she doesnt understand, her daughter is coming to help. When I walked in, the receptionist was turned around towards another employee behind her, making fun of my moms accent by mimicking in a ridiculing voice the phrase my mom told her, which was "I dont understand, my daughter...". It caught my attention right away because I had never heard this receptionist speak with a Slavic accent. It was humiliating and made my mom and myself very sad and deeply offended. Our family will not continue going to this office for this reason. It came to my attention that this receptionist had behaved in this manner multiple times towards my parents thinking they dont speak English at all. It was some technical terms they could not understand but clearly understood when she was making fun of them. I personally have seen and heard her snickering and making fun of other patients to the office nurse as soon as they leave the office. The office nurse seems very nice and tries to always respond in a neutral manner and not engage with the receptionist. It is hard for me to understand why a nice doctor and great medical team would have such a rude, inconsiderate and inappropriate receptionist representing the office. Very unfortunate.

Joseph Dandona Jr. I’d like to share a review of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital Emergency Room. I had a condition that required an emergency room visit recently and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I arrived at 9:15 am and was greeted at the door by their admission attendant. I was taken in immediately and offered a wheelchair and was taken to the admission office and checked in. It was a 5 minute process. I was wheeled into a private examination room and very shortly was hooked up with a heart monitor, had my vital taken, blood drawn and X-rays scheduled. The staff were polite, professional, efficient and caring. I was kept informed of the progress and kept updated. The doctor was wonderful and kept me informed throughout the process. All of the staff were amazing. If you find yourself in need of emergency medical assistance I highly recommend this hospitals emergency room.

Stephany Radtke I took my 9 year old here for emergency care expecting to wait hours to be seen. Given the circumstances, we were pleasantly surprised with a great experience. My son was in a room and seen by a doctor within minutes of arrival. The nurses were all very friendly and helpful. Dr. Steven Mills was beyond amazing. He was very playful with my son and made him feel comfortable. I appreciate that he took his time explaining things thoroughly and sent us home with great advice for after care.

Savannah Johns-Pedrocchi I had an excellent experience at the Goleta Cottage Hospital Emergency Room this evening. The RN Sonya was a delightful person, who was positive and upbeat, and had a great attitude. The woman doing Registration on the traveling computer was very kind and did an excellent job explaining everything. The Front Desk Attendant was warm and helpful as well. Overall it was the best ER visit I’ve ever experienced. Thank you everyone for your help and kindness.

Geoffrey B Having to go to the ER is never a good thing, however when you need too, this is the ER of my choice. Although it is technically the same staff that work at both emergency rooms, I truly appreciate this place the most. The service I received on numerous occasions was fast and the staff was truly intentive. (Oftentimes the wait is much less than the one downtown) On several occasions they have turned horrible instances into a turning point towards healing.

Karen Gellert Dr Hrach and her staff provide the very best state of the art health care. Conscientious, caring, considerate. I have been treated by her for decades and would highly recommend her.

Güera M If I could give 0 stars I would. No customer service skills, and staff is not friendly. “The Doctors” are just Nurse practitioners as I found out at my appointment. Which I don’t feel that they did a good job with my family. They want to hand everything over to someone else to take care of even though it’s their responsibility and they don’t really help with what you are going through. DENISE ODRISCOLL I went to her with severe pain, she never got a clear picture of what was wrong kept sending me to specialists, then I found out I had shingles, because she did not give me anti virals in a timely manner and did not diagnose me correctly I have been in pain with Fibro myrasia for 6 years, I do not, do not recommend her, her bedside manner also was non caring and cold

Jennifer Holland Dr. Hrach is very kind, responsive, and caring. She has worked with my aging mother, my best friend with migraines, and me. I recommend her highly.

Sarah Morgan Brushed off our concerns regarding autism for our child, but was very quick to point to oppositional defiant disorder at the very first meeting-- our child is THREE. Terrible bedside manner, old school, needs to update her education. Told us that our child is "too conversational to be autistic" but the education board psychologist said our child has SEVERAL flags for autism spectrum disorder. We will pursue a diagnosis with anyone BUT Dr Sices. Do NOT recommend.

trenton schirmer My son saw Dr. Sices years ago. He was (and is) autistic and she went above and beyond to help him get the resources he needs. She is highly competent, very principled, conscientious in her work, and cares deeply for the well being of her patients. If you are coming to her to rubber stamp your own personal diagnosis and treatment plan, she is not the best choice because she is principled and not all about money. But if you want to find out what is really going on and how best to help your child, I highly recommend her.

Stephanie Ross Asked me to pay $500 up front out of pocket to become a “member” of their medical group. You can only receive medical care if you pay this fee, which doesn’t even go towards the cost of your treatment. Its insane that medical care is this exclusionary in this day and age. Basically if you’re not rich enough to be a member then they cant treat you. The receptionist on the phone said the fee is to make it easier to see patients but this seems like a joke. Im pretty sure a 500$ fee will make it harder for patients to be seen because not everyone can afford that. disgusting

Muhammad Navid Anjum Aadit My experience with UCSB Student Health has been consistently frustrating. Unlike my time at UC Irvine, where I was always seen by competent MDs, UCSB Student Health seems to prioritize pushing patients to nurse practitioners instead of doctors. This leads to subpar care, especially when you have more serious health concerns. To make matters worse, for anything slightly complex, they immediately refer you to external providers, which racks up co-pays and costs you more time and money. It feels like a system designed to offload serious cases while continuing to charge your insurance for minimal service. The quality of care and accessibility to actual MDs is far below acceptable standards for a university healthcare system. If you need serious medical attention, prepare to be referred outside and bear additional costs. Highly disappointed!

River Pember It has been 5 years since I have graduated and I still fear going to the gynecologist because of my experiences here. One experience in particular that stands out is a gynecologist who pressured me into taking Plan B when I really didn’t need to. I kept saying “no I don’t need it” but she kept pushing me and saying “you HAVE to” and wouldn’t stop until I was putting the pill inside of my mouth. I don’t think coerced consent is true consent. I am still recovering from this experience. Please do better, UCSB.

Trevor Moran Received a bill for a shoulder sling given to me at a hospital in Washington state. Was billed $120 for a basic cloth sling that fell apart within days and I replaced with a far better quality sling for $12 from a local drug store. Called PacMedical to explain I was receiving financial aid from the hospital - first, no one was able to take my call so I had to leave a voicemail and was called back days later and told that unlike the hospital that supplied my sling, PacMedical doesnt offer aid and my $120 bill was to be paid in full immediately. 1 Star for service, 1 Star for quality of product, 1 Star for compassion, 1 Star being an absolute rip off and taking advantage of people in vulnerable states, such as coming off pain killers in a hospital.

MR P I called the Billing Questions number for clarifications on the unitemized bill I received. My first call was on a Friday and I realize it was presumptious of me to expect someone to answer on a pre-weekend day. The other two calls were made during the week afterward; it is now Thursday and I have yet to receive a call back.
