Kel Benzie Very calm and peaceful walk, even on a weekend afternoon. Lots of wildlife about. Track is 4kms one-way, before ending by jacks beach.

David Warner Theres an interesting mix of flora along the route through the park. The only fauna we saw were some birds and crabs. The path is almost completely flat, though its reasonably long (about 3.5km one way) and there are no early exits. There is little in the way of shade, so be mindful of the sun. I read an estimated return time of 4 hours, which is out by a factor of 2 - at least - for anyone walking at a reasonably quick pace. Keen to return after theres been some decent rain - I imagine itll look quite different.

Mark Zhang A must-go place, huge recreation area for dogs, off-leash area available, too. Right on the water.

Jen A 4km return walk to Jacks beach. A well maintained boardwalk through the wetlands, mangroves, crabs, birds and just being in nature. Could do with some manmade shade. Especially over lookouts with benches where you can sit in some shade and enjoy soaking in the views and watching the birds. The vegetation is low with no shade along the boardwalk. Was lucky to have sun protection including an umbrella. Would have been very uncomfortable without the sunscreen, hats, sunnies and long sleeves.

BKHELEN (BKHelen) A beautiful casual walk. Walking path is well constructed so not to interfere natural surroundings There are few birds around to photograph if you are interested.

wakarimasen71 Gorgeous place to explore . Not a swimming sunbathing beach but a mangrove-filled historical ,natural environment to explore . There’s a little picnic area at the start with immaculate bathroom facilities (when we were there ) . The signage could be a little clearer pointing out which way to go for the board walk path or Jack’s beach historic site with tanning pit. If you have your back to the car park take the right path to Jacks “beach” or take the left pathway to start the magnificent board walk . We loved it and will definitely be back for a bigger walk . We saw Ibis , Pelican and Swans !

Rodney Stuckey Excellent boardwalk trail through the Bitten wetlands. Path is flat and wheelchair friendly. Large range of bird life through the mangroves. The no dogs on the walk due to the abundance of native wildlife.

Michael Pless Id happily give the location more stars, but whoever is supposed to be caring for this location needs to be aware that massive, deep puddles in the muddy car park will turn people away. This interesting part of our colonial history is quite in need of extensive TLC. There is a toilet block that I had no need for. There are also several paths, although I used only the one that led me to the tanning pit. On my next visit, Im likely to explore further. The paths are mostly good and appear to be level. So that those with mobility issues ought to be okay... although there is a stile of sorts that might prove challenging. I spent about an hour at the tanning pit taking photos, but otherwise, its several minutes walk for a brief look around and then return. The "beach" is rocky and likely hurt the feet of any waders. Not a place to swim. So, if youre in the area, its a worthwhile diversion.

Azieñaj This is not a beach but in fact a place to explore and appreciate nature. Take your camera, get off your phone and listen, see, feel everything this walk has to offer. I was annoyed as I left seeing a local take a dog in to the area. Other than that it was an amazing walking experience. Toilets were clean and a small picnic area was available with a BBQ.

JP Willigenburg Secluded and quiet. One of my fav places to sit and relax. Our kids love to explore the mangroves.

A Pair of Travellers This reserve is used a lot by the locals as an off leash area for dogs, so its not really a place to take the kids to kick a ball. It is not fully fenced but seems to work for most dogs. People are friendly, and the majority seem to pick up after their pooches.

Colkaye Scoble Great sporting facilities here. Basketball, cricket, tennis to name a few.

Sam Warry Clean and tidy park and plenty of parking available

Katie Addinsall McNeill We found this wonderful spot by accident, just following the signs to remote controlled car racing. We enjoyed watching a few races, onlookers welcome, a good spot to stretch your legs before the drive back into Melbourne.

Jen A nice end to the Warrangine Park wetlands boardwalk. Bit muddy at low tide, but looks like there might be something in the sand. Little holes in the sand.

Natasha Cooper Nice little spot. Good ending point from the Bittern coastal walk. Would I go here just for this beach, probably not.
