Bill Mrozek Wonderful sculpture park. Interesting and varied works. Well maintained gardens. Only downside was lack of seats. Lots of lawns for those wanting to picnic. Car parking but not many options for those relying on public transport. Good cafe. Need to book museum entry online.

Nellerichal Sreeju Very good park in the suburb of Bulleen. One thing it makes very different to the other parties are the amount of creative sculptures in there. When I was in Buenos Aires, I did see an amazing park with sculpture. Even though this is not on that Grand level, they have done a fantastic job of it and so close to home!

Cecilia Wong Really nice day out. Kid loved the sculptures and walking around the park. Went there with one elderly and one kids and the park was an easy walk for both of them. Some really beautiful big trees around. Particularly nice now in autumn. Cafe is close by for a nice sit down and coffee after the walk. Really lovely way to spend a sunny autumn morning. Highly recommended.

José Casquet Heide Park is a great place not only for looking at modern art but also for walking around, picnic and obviously tree climbing for the little ones. Visit gardens and look at the pieces of art whilst enjoying the natural sceneries. Easy access from in front parking or connected to other park makes it convenient to access the park itself. The parking is small however and it could be difficult to find a parking spot in the main parking area. Wonderful experience. Recommended to everyone in the area.

Zaadie Had a beautiful experience with my baby attending the Heide Baby Class. The museum itself is a hidden gem. Lovely sculptures and landscaping set atop a hill. The story of Sunday and her lover and how the museum came to be was particularly enchanting, and to experience what it is today was captivating. The tour guides were highly engaging for both bub and parents. We learnt so much about the location, art origins and garden. The cafe has an amazing selection of brunch and lunch options. Coffee was delicious. Such a peaceful place. We look forward to visiting again soon ⭐

Massimiliano Trenti Discovered this museum just by riding along the Yarra and of course I decided to visit it. The building itself is very good, a brutalist form surrounded by a very nice sculpture park. I did not have much time but I wandered around the galleries, that had very interesting and captivating artworks, many of them regarding aboriginal lives. Definitely recommended!

Eryn McKenna The museum was absolutely wonderful, the grounds are phenomenal, completely worth the trip, and such an interesting insight into art in Melbourne. The molto bello exhibition was marvellous, very well curated and beautifully displayed. The only let down was the cafe, we waited over 30 minutes for an order they had to keep coming back and confirming or changing due to a lack of what we wanted off the menu, and when it eventually came the chicken schnitzel was quite burnt and dry. For the cost of the food slightly disappointing, next time I go, Ill bring a picnic.

Lauren My mum and I went to the Molto Bello exhibition before it finishes tomorrow - a really good collection of 1950-80s era home decor and vehicles! The Heide cottage and gardens were also super nice. The cafe does good coffee and a nice selection of food for reasonable prices. Some of the pieces were *covered* in dust. Surely theres a daily check of this? Especially the lamps or lighter pieces, you could see the layer of dust on everything. It kind of took away from it a little and was just disappointing to see, really. It wouldnt take much for a couple of staff to do a walk around in the morning, but alas. The MAJOR downside is the parking situation. Seriously under allocated. We arrived at 11 (and it opens at 10) and I was pushed for a park. I went down to the lower carpark closer to the museum entrance, where I had to turnaround on a back road and then come up back up the one way? one lane? road and drive up over the garden as other cars were going down. I eventually parked squashed up against a tree (yet to check for scratches..)

Rosy Oh Hidden gem in Melbourne. So much to see with a purchased ticket, but worth every dollar. The sculpture park is spacious with enough space for families to visit. Visited just before the closing of the Molto Bello exhibition. Loved everything on display. Highly recommend, can’t wait for the next exhibition!

Afsaneh Gh Banksia Park is a spacious haven by the Yarra River, ideal for families, history buffs, and dog owners alike. With plenty of open space, picnic areas, and playgrounds, it’s a popular spot for all ages, and the Heritage 1.9km Trail offers insight into local history. The parks cherry tree groves, a gift from Japan in 1980, add a unique charm, especially when in bloom. Dogs also can enjoy the fully fenced, off-lead area with a drinking fountain and shady spots, while visitors are advised to bring their own BBQs and dispose of rubbish off-site. Whether walking, cycling, or just relaxing, Banksia Park offers a beautiful escape in Melbourne’s north-east.

Gavin Leung We visited in mid Oct. Tho there are many flowers, and it’s amazing. But the season should be a lit over. I think the best timing will be early Oct.

Gabe E My absolute favorite little stop-in place. Lovely walks and cute ducks. They tore down the old play equipment and fire puts and didnt replace either which is sad. Still, it has good covered areas and spaces for a picnic.

Bhagesh Chauhan Its a good place to be with your family. Nice and open with lots of parking space. You have BBQ area and nice dining area to enjoy a sunny day with good food. Kids got lots of area to play and few fun games are there. I love visiting this place whenever I get a chance with my family. Maintenance is really good and it’s always nice and clean.

Richard Burn The playground is currently fenced off aside from the swings and sandpit due to damage, hopefully an upgrade is on the way. Theres been some improvement lately with some long awaited clean-up following the October 22 floods and views of the main billabong opened up after being dry for many years. The old wood fired BBQs are gone but nothing has replaced them yet and there are some shiny new drinking fountains Enjoy the walks and wildlife.
