Nurcihan Körpe There were literally thousands of flying foxes covering the trees. Every tree in the forest was packed with them, hanging in clusters and making constant noise. It was the first time I had ever seen so many in one place. I also spotted a huge spider for the first time, which made the whole experience even more surreal.

Adam G This Fairfield Industrial Dog Object (FIDO) is a trojan-horse style dog first launched on April Fools day, 2000. Its constructed from recycled hardwood and standing 5.5 metres tall and approximately 8 metres long, it really is massive. Although much debated at first because of its $50,000 cost, its now an iconic and very much loved local landmark and being an item on the now more than 150 of Australias Big Things, it has also become part of a cult phenomenon!

Brendan Bachmann Pass it often on the train or whilst in Fairfield. It is a large dog object, exactly as promised - what more could you ask for?

tammy roberts Under the shade of the station trees stands an impressive example of recycling. Fido was beyond my expectations.

Paul M BATS!!! We had a wonderful little family hike here to see the famous flying foxes, otherwise known as fruit bats. Being from Hawaii, this was a totally unique and cool experience as dont really have a lot of bats in hawaii! We walked maybe a half mile from the parking lot and BAM, BATS GALORE! This place is totally worth visiting! and remember, BATS ARENT BUGS!

Ames Corcoran We generally park as close as we can to Deep Rock swimming hole as it a beautiful walk along the river there and then head towards Dights Falls & back. Great dog friendly walk with a mix of offlead & leashed zones throughout. I personally have gone swimming there, and wouldnt after heavy rains but plenty other dogs seem to love jumping in at different sections where allowed

CHOI HYUKJAE (ERIC) It was my first visit after a friend recommended it to me, and I was so happy to find such a peaceful cafe not far from the city. I stayed for a short time, having coffee and cake, and I want to go on a boat next time and Im curious about other foods. Thanks to that, I had a satisfying day~ :)

RZ Had a lovely morning tea here today. The food, ambience and service were amazing! The scones were the right amount of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Well definitely be back to ride the boats and have lunch next time.

Peter Til A very relaxed tranquil environment. A beautiful place to enjoy brunch with friends and family… and pets too. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. The coffees (we had the coffees red-made to have them hotter - unfortunately to no avail) were lukewarm. Cutlery was not clean and the service needs to improve. I had spinach with my eggs that was not fresh at all. The eggs were cooked well though, which was the only positive with the food. The juice was also enjoyable. An excellent place that needs a bit of improvement.
