Jules K Spent a very interesting hour or so looking at the displays and photos. Peter, one of the museum volunteers, was on hand to answer all my questions. The size of the old bakery ovens was astounding. Anyone over the age of (say) 60 will find this museum brings back a lot of childhood memories. Well worth a visit for sure.

Tony Payne Some really fascinating pieces to do with the old bakery and surrounding area. See if you can see where the chimney starts in the ovens!

Tamara Gasselin A beautiful park. Picnic tables, toilets, playground, a small maze and a lake with ducks. Our kids love the flying fox. A great place for a picnic. There is access to the park on 2 streets so we sometimes use it to cut through on bike rides.

Anoma R What an awesome park. Loving this park to the utmost. These photos are self explanatory!!Therefore I am not going to right much today. A very safe, secure, lovely park for the whole family.

Sammi M Such a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Mentone. With school holidays coming up there is something for every age group. From watching the ducks swimming to riding on the flying fox to playing on the equipment to climbing trees to practising your tennis just to name a few. Many seats to relax while the children play. There is even bbq facilities.

Justine Streager Beautiful park! Ive lived in the area for over 3 years and never knew this place existed! Dogs are allowed on leash and this is a family and child friendly haven! So many things to do spread across the park, soccer goal, football posts, sand pit with diggers, flying fox, swings, slides and heaps of play equipment, horse themed statues and play equipment and plenty of drinking fountains for humans and dogs. Public toilets are accessable and a good amenity to have. There are also a number of gas BBQs and under cover areas as well as seats and picnic tables. Theres a lot to explore and lots of little offshoot paths as well as open space and grass areas. Lots of beautiful trees and garden beds, not to mention the lovely lake & wild life (ducks and magpies and other birds). Theres also a fountain in the lake as well as two bridges to cross. Good walking track and good parking. Highly recommend.

Christopher Coller A lovely spot to stop and have lunch at. Had a great playground for kids, an awesome oval with soccer goals, a tennis wall thing, good condition basketball court and clean public toilets. The pond is nice, with lots of ducks and other bird life, the gardens are very well looked after.

karin penrose Great park for young children, completely fenced. Quite a few playthings to keep the children occupied . Has a large sand pit with digger as well. Lots of sitting and an oval if you want to play ball. Dogs can be there but only on a leash. Did not see a toilet facility.

Laura Elliott Great spacious playground, with plenty of play equipment, grass area, BBQ and even gym equipment for adults in its own section. The best thing about it for me was that its completely gated, so no needing to stress over little ones running off.

Nicole Blizard My nieces love this playground! So many options and there is usually other kids there for them to play with. Great shaded picnic tables and barbecues available as well :)

Stephen Davies Its not the biggest - although I doubt most visitors will mind. The main archway entrance acknowledges the contribution made by locals to WW1. There is a playground for kids. Tables and benches are dotted about for relaxing or picnicking. The park is located between Brindisi and Venice streets. It is next door to Mentone Footy Club. There is plenty of well-maintained grass and plant life for peaceful asthetics. Worth a visit

Kerbray A small and quiet reserve with some grassland area and a childrens playground nearby. Busy with people traffic during the summer months, but a nice place to sit and relax.

Jes Mensen What a gorgeous park! A beautiful memorial garden, great facilities for kids to play on, whoever was the architect should be proud of designing such a small place to be so entertaining. Simply gorgeous. This plant is beautiful year round, however it is not always in red bloom. Parrots frequent this area and are fun to spot. Such a beautiful way to recognise the sacrifices at war.

Stephen Black Good playground and picnic space - public toilets, HOWEVER, don’t seem to be very close by - you either need to go in to the adjacent council activity centre or the football ground next door (if open) or the shopping village car park a couple of blocks back.

karin penrose Great park. My grandson loved playing in the playground. Lots of tables to sit on either on the sun or shade Close to coffee shops and cafes
