Jayleese Rock Good morning everyone, I am a transwoman and was looking for a good respectful nail shop locally. Found this shop and got booked 3 days before my appointment. Did not know this location was in McHenry village precisely otherwise probably would had went elsewhere being the uptight environment and conservative energy a lot of these shops have against trans LGBT individuals receiving services. I presented myself with my name ( which is female, my physical presentation, which is female socially ) and was called SIR by the nail tech who called me over to her station upon my entering the shop. One customer sitting across from my station kept staring at me the whole time and when the lady who booked me reads this she will remember I was the one who STILL gave her the 15 dollar tip only because I’m a minority they probably expected way less and she did loosen up upon our my time receiving services but to call me a sir was highly disrespectful and I encourage everyone there to look at presentation first and not call out opposite of what the person is presenting. It really is not that hard and if it’s still hard for you then a simple “ we don’t do designs here” would had been just as effective in communicating to me. I was slightly embarrassed but luckily I know who I truly am so did not bother me too much. Will not be receiving services here again though. Nail job was good but a very slight lumpiness on two of my fingers.

Katlin Marquez As a first time customer and a licensed cosmetologist heres my take away. Pros: the guy who I got was quick and gentle for the most part. I also didnt get any burning from the monomer or over usage of drill. Cons: They re use all of their files/buffers/drill bits. Which is unsanitary considering they are not able to be disinfected if they were to accidentally cut a customer. As a professional thats a huge NO. The gentleman that helped me also gave me a crooked nail. After I told him one nail was longer then the other, he told me it wasnt and continued so I didnt even bother to have him fix the crooked nail. I felt like any input I had was an issue or inconvenience. Mind you I literally came in for a BASIC pink and white set. The picture I showed had a glitter lining around the white. When he put it on 1 finger and showed me, i told him I liked the white alone better. It also saved him some work and time, however he clearly got annoyed. Lastly....... The set when I booked said $55 .(pink and white) However when I was charged it was $60 for whatever reason. I honestly was not about to argue with deaf ears. If I was charged extra for gel polish( which would of been the white) I wasnt even given and option or input. $60 for a basic pink and white set is top price but its not what I felt I got in any manner. In total I would not come back or recommend to anyone in the future. I added a photo for reference of my crooked nail.

Bunni Anderson A full set runs me on average $90-100. They do good work and they do their best to match nail designs shown to them in pics. The shop is beautiful inside. It has vaulted multi-level ceilings. They are painted as blue sky and puffy clouds. Its very serene and comfy. The staff is also kind and friendly. Good experiences here.

Erica Hall Ive been coming to see Kelly for a really long time. I have her do my acrylic nails. Lindsey does my daughters nails and if Kelly is on vacation, then Lindsey will do my nails as well. Libdsey does a really good job as well and shes really good at nail art. I like to see Shalonda for my pedicures. Everybody is really nice and does a great job. Ive never had any complaints and I have been coming here for a long time. Another good thing is that you dont have to make a far in advance appointment. Theyre very accommodating and fit you in. I recommend Kelly Nails to everyone who compliments me on my nails!

Lyndsey is the one always took care of me very professional and very kind lady she handle your nails with care not just rushly done. Im a full time mom and want to pamper myself sometimes. And there are lots of salon that are near and I went every single one of them I dont like the way they welcome me and first impression is important for me specially that you were so tired and all you want to do is treat yourself a bit and I think everybody deserved to be treated with kindness no matter how you look. I had a trade show to go see clients and this was awful! Didn’t have time to get them done again before the show and this place cost me over 60 bucks! Unbelievable! L L Nicki was amazing! Did perfect on my toes. Would come back for a pedicure with her. Linda was aggressive with my gel x service and not consistent. The nails look decent but one hand isn’t sealed and I got cut on three nails. Not the best at shaping nails either. Paint job looks like I personally did it and what’s the point in paying for something I could’ve done better. But prices aren’t bad.

It was a relaxing environment and the music was good, actually added it to my Apple Music lol. I included a picture of what I asked for and that’s exactly what I received! I received a dip powder manicure and a pedicure with acrylic enhancements, very reasonable pricing!

Rachel Olive I was so unhappy with my nails because of being treated like cattle and the uncleanness of my previous nail salon, I had heard about Boutique from a friend. To my surprise, they were able to attend me right away. Henry did a wonderful pedicure job. He is patient and very detailist, I really like it! Prices are reasonable. Im a nurse assistant, and I wash my hands a ton of times every day. Now, I look forward to coming back for a manicure pretty soon. Im more than certain that Henry will do a magnificent job. ana allen I was visiting my sister and we went to get our pedicure done at the boutique nails and salon in Modesto, CA. My pedicurist was Jason. For fifteen minutes of lame service, I was charged $46.00. This person is apparently one of the best but for some reason, he was the worst and rudest person I have ever met. And mind you, he is a co owner of this business too. And my sister is a regular customer of this Salon. His partner, who also happens to work there sensed my distaste in the service I received.She offered to correct the nail polish but I declined since putting a coat of nail polish would not correct the service l paid for and what my sister and other customers received. I was also too pissed since had already sat there for 60 minutes for her to finish my sisters pedicure. Holi also handed me a Gift Certificate for a facial. Thank you Holly but I will not be coming back to your salon for the facial or for any other srrvices.

It can get busy but if you come at the right time it’s peaceful and quiet. Lisa did my pedicure and she was amazing. Loved the massages!

Trin E The more I stare at it and see others side eyeing my nails the more I realize I wasted $80 for this acrylic with gel set (starting price $45) Off shape and close to being duck nails. I repeated I wanted more color for the tips so it wasn’t thin but they just kept adding color on top of the same place as “more” Idk if the person was a beginner, I still tipped them $10 for service and effort. I don’t think it was worth it for these nails

J. Kelly This place is AWESOME. I was hesitant because the last time I got my nails done (a different salon) it was a horrible experience and this would be my second time ever getting them done. But this time it was amazing. They were very nice and super professional. The woman who did my nails was faster than I expected but wasnt rushed at all! She definitely had a LOT of experience and was very good at her job! AND It was only $50 as opposed to the $95 at the last place. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!!!

Jayden K 0/10 .. A man did shaped my nails and a women painted them I understand that the nails are shaped by hand using a nail file but there was little attempt for an almond nail shape. For the price my nails are somewhat done, but most definitely called my mom after and told her it was a chop shop and that I wouldn’t go back. It was basically a “dry manicure” (and that’s what it should be marketed as) since they didn’t soak or trim my cuticles which was odd because literally that’s half the point of a manicure?! I walked out with nails the same color but all different shapes and it’s 100% noticeable. I make this review to warn y’all to find another spot .. this one truly isn’t worth my hard earned money or time. I just moved to Modesto still looking for a nail salon, this definitely won’t be it…

Travis Perdue This was my first time being dragged in by my spouse, as I have only had a pedicure two other times at different establishments. All of the ladies were Very nice, and Super professional. Not a huge fan of anyone touching my feet, however they included a hot stone calf and foot massage. The one who drew the short straw, seemed to take extra time filing down my crusty hoofs. Seems a shame to have to shove them back into some dusty work boots tomorrow! While half falling asleep I wondered if these lovely women have anyone doing the same for them? 20-30 minutes of trimming, scrubbing, painting one of the ugliest, smelliest parts of a human? Humble. Tessa Corrales I’ve been going to Mimi’s for about 1.5 years now. I’ve only seen Hilary but she never ever fails me. Always cleans my cuticles and she knows I’m super OCD and never has a problem fixing something I don’t like. I may visit other salons from time to time for a different color range as I wish Mimi’s did broaden their colors, but either way I always end up back at Mimi’s with Hilary. 10/10 recommend.

Holly Lackey I went in randomly on my lunch break today since I needed my nails done and didnt have time after work. Its a little hidden but worth the find! I wish I got the artist name who did my nails but she was so sweet. Im usually very awkward and quiet during services so she was respectful on my silence. I told her I didnt know what design I wanted and she gave me the cutest hearts. It was the design I didnt know I needed. I am really bad at picking at my skin and dont have pretty fingers and she was so gental. I normally feel pain after appointments, she made me feel pain-free. Highly recommend.

Rose Stewart I came by to the grand opening. The sign outside the door says theyre there Sunday 10:30 to 5:00. I get down there and the place is closed. I called and left a message for them to call me back. I gave all my information my name and my phone number of course. But no one bothered to return my phone call. This is not very good customer service if youre closed on Sunday put a sign saying that you are closed on Sunday. Change the outside sign that says you are open on Sundays. Not good business practice. I will never come to this place ever again.

The owner is rude, her customer service sucks. She brushes it off and doesnt care about your time as long as she gets paid. Ive walked out twice after waiting over 40 minutes for the appointment i had. I stopped coming here. High tech nails in turlock does a great job if you dont mind the drive.

I had asked for short nails that were matte red with hearts it wasn’t to my liking and I was charged $72 which is more than other places then I come back to ask for them to fix it on top of that the rhinestones were falling off they charged me an additional 20 bucks . They nails were low quality too not worth it I’m never coming back

Very attentive and took her time removing the acrylic and avoiding buffing my natural nail. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they look so much better now! Everything was very friendly and nice.

Edit: Went there a second time and the lady at desk 6 was extremely rude, told me not to go too short saying it would look bad when I told her I wanted short nails, proceeded to cut me not once, but four times, and told me after the first cut it was because I was pulling away. I pull away because I got cut! Cutting me four times is not because of me, it’s because of your poor treatment. She never apologized once, and hurriedly finished the job leaving parts of my nail without clear coat, and a bunch of scratches on my nail. I told the owner and she offered an apology, but nothing was told to the lady doing my nails.

Samantha Defreitas This set was one of the worse sets I have gotten I showed a picture of what I wanted and she gave me this so horrible and tried to charge me $80 for the set never again will I go to lavish nails in Modesto. And this wasn’t my first time not being satisfied. The picture on the right was what I wanted and what I got was on the left.

Alexis i spent 85$ on my nails and in one week 2 nails popped right off . she fixed them for 10$ which i felt should of been complimentary but then 2 more nails popped off 2 days later and the ones she fixed popped off again a week later . my nails kept cracking and the gel started peeling right after . Ive always had my nails last 3-4 weeks before any fall off. these chipped off so easily . i’m not trying to bash this business but i wouldn’t want others spending so much for this quality .

Mrs. Westbrooks Genuinely mortified and disappointed by the work that was done here. I have never been to this place before and it is very safe to say that I will NEVER go back. Le me start by saying that as a walk-in, I appreciated their ability to seat me within 15 minutes but that was the only thing good they had going for themselves and I should have known better by how uncomfortable I felt, but after looking at the stars and seeing a 4.2 rating, I assumed they would be ok. I told the nail tech I wanted black coffin nails and even showed her a photo to confirm coffin and from the moment she started there were mistake after mistakes made but because I am not a Nail Tech or Expert I let her continue as I watched a movie on my phone. Big mistake and I blame myself because even with me seeing the mistakes, even with her fingers sticking to mine because of the amount of glue she utilized, and me addressing her on 2 different occasions I still went through with it because I was desperate. There are not enough words to describe how tacky, distasteful, and disgusting my nails were done. I could have stayed home and saved the $51 I reluctantly paid. The tech had no remorse for how she left my nails nor did she offer to redo, remove, or discount. She was so confident in her work it is sickening. She does NOT deserve a station at any nail salon Please stay away from this location.

This is the 3rd place I’ve been to in town when asking for a manicure and gel set that they’ve completely neglected giving me an actual manicure. They didn’t soak my nails before trimming , they never touched my cuticles, and no hand massage. I’m from Fresno and any place I’ve been to there, those are standard for a manicure. When I wanted a new set I was pressed for a fill, I had to be firm with my choice. After they drilled down the layer of gel, they ripped of my nail by sliding another nail underneath. It hurt! I pulled my hand away and asked what she was doing and that she ripped off half my nail and her response was you wanted a new set right. I asked about soaking off but she did not want to do that because it takes at least 1 hour. She said she can fill or do this. I should have left. But I stayed and proceeded to let her rip every nail off. It was so painful. I started sweating from the pain and my finger tips were throbbing with pain for a few hours after and tender the rest of the day. Why did I stay? Because last time I was here they did such a great job on my nails.. This time not so much, but these were different techs touching my nails. This time my nails were not natural looking, slightly bulky. There is the old green polish from my last set still on the edges of my nails. And some of the gel has bubbles. Two techs touched my nails. One put the new set on, the other reshaped the set and painted. I wanted ombré, but she didn’t think it would look good with short nails, then I showered her a pic with nail art to see if she could do it, she said she can’t do art. So I settled for solid colors. I do love the colors I picked though. I would have given 1 star but like I said last time my nails came out so great. The man up front did my set last time, a fill, and then a lady painted them and did cute daisies (I was told she was off on maternity leave this time).

I wasnt able to get her name, but the last 3 times Ive been there, its always her, and I love it. She takes her time and doesnt rush my pedicure. My nail lady is also amazing. Does beautiful work. I am very simple when it comes to my nails, nothing fancy but love her work. Will also update her name. She has done my nails the last 2 times, but the lady from my first time is also good.

Michael Younathan I have came here for long time but not no more. The pricing has gotten ridiculous. They are twice as expensive to get a pedicure as some others. I will be going to David Lees from now on the basic pedicure is $15 there and is $30. Sorry your price increase just lost you a customer nothing special about your pedicure for difference in price.

Cinna Bunny I visited the salon on August 5th around 12:30 pm as a walk-in, and was promptly attended to by Tammy, a friendly and attentive technician. I showed her a picture of the nail style I wanted, and she immediately began working on it. Throughout the process, we had a pleasant conversation, and I appreciated the relaxing music playing in the background. I opted for a simple yet elegant almond-shaped white French tip style. As a perfectionist, I did notice a few minor imperfections, but considering the nature of the work, I was very satisfied with the results. The total cost was $60, which was as expected. Tammy provided her number for future appointments, and I plan to call her for a fill after my vacation.

Tammi Bertsch David did my gel manicure and it was nice. He was very friendly and thorough. Rose did my gel pedicure and it wasn’t very good. She was friendly but her quality of work was subpar. She took off my old gel with the dremel and it was scary. I felt like she was going to grind too much of my nail off. She didn’t really do much of the actual pedicure, just basically painted my toenails and put some oil/lotion on my legs. The massage was super brief and no pressure. I won’t be going back to Rose for a pedicure.

Jennifer Mojica Staff was really nice, especially the nail tech who helped me, Wena (if Im not mistaken) she stayed after hours to finish up my set, since my original idea did not look good. She was so patient and awesome!! Definitely will be back.

Williams Tom “EagleRider” Tina is the best. It took me 69 years. To decide to get an actual pedicure to pamper myself, for my birthday. I entered as a walk in, I was greeted by a very hospitable friendly staff. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Tina was the nicest most professional person to do my pedicure. Tina made it the best experience Ive had in quite awhile. Talk about magic hands during the orange scrub massage from knee to between the toes. By the time she was done, I already was looking forward to my next pedicure and was asking myself why I didnt do this sooner. Its the best my feet ever felt I was wiggling my toes all the way home. I highly recommend Tina and this establishment you wont be disappointed.

Catherine Garcia Really difficult to take good photos of the damage that is on my nails BUT my nails started peeling a couple days after I got them. Also, the white V tips are not even on my nails. Ugh I WFH so I type and I have a little one. There is no reason my nails should be having a lot of tiny bubbles and the clear coat keeps coming off. I called them like a week after I got them done to fix them and they only fixed one nail and then put clear coat on some other nails. It’s 2 days later and clear coat is coming off again. We paid $60 and these nails have barely last a week. Upsetting.

Betsy T I got dip nails for the first time. They used a communal dip cup. About 15 minutes after I left, I chipped one and went back and fixed. 24 hours later the next one chipped. They are supposed to last 2-3 weeks and did not last more than 24 hours. Would not recommend.

Wendy Awour I definitely have to give them a 5 star. Very good customer service, I got gel pedicure and regular mani. The lady was thorough and kept checking if I liked the progress as she was doing my nails. She is gentle with the filing and cuticle work. I’m satisfied and will definitely return.

Celena Jacquez Tim did a great job on my full set, he did exactly what I wanted, i loved the end result. 5/5 A lady did my pedicure, asked me what I wanted but did something else and then told me it would be 5$ more to fix it after I had already been there two and a half hours I didnt want to wait any longer so I paid and left without fixing, leaving really upset about my pedicure not matching my nails like i always do.. So due to me not getting what I paid for, I give the pedicure a 2/5 since I left so upset and because she did take her time with the cuticles but the gel polish is sloppy and shiny when I had wanted matte. She asked if i liked the shape and i told her i like them more skinny, she filed the edges but it didnt make a difference.she didnt put acrylic all the way to the top on my nail. It looks like I need a fill already. The guy who did my pedicure bearly even scrubbed them..Ive been going here for years but I think its time to find a new place.

He accidentally poked me with the instrument, and when I mentioned that he was being a bit rough, he insisted he was being safe. Despite my feedback, he continued to handle my nails roughly, prompting me to request a stop. Ultimately, I decided against completing the pedicure. When I sought assistance from another staff member, I noticed Victor had hidden the nail polish. Upon inquiring about it, he responded dismissively, saying he didn’t want to talk to me and asked me to leave. Unfortunately, no one intervened to address his behavior, and the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Crystal Dorsey Honestly, I wanted to give them one star but I gave them two only because Helin and Victor when Ive went prior to 07/13/2018 have did great jobs on my nails. First, I had an appointment with my friend and I still had to wait 10-15 minutes before I was seen. I showed her EXACTLY what I wanted. Second she started on my nails she began to put the regular tip on and I told her I wanted a clear tip and aggressively she replied I dont have that and continued on. Next, she has the nails on and her crying kid calls which I have on tape whom she had on SPEAKER hysterically crying. Then she cuts the first five in to the wrong shape (coffin) as she changes hands still talking on the phone I realized as she is now two nails into my other hand that its the wrong shape I tell her and show her the picture. She says "oh dont worry about it i will fix it"... So she finished with my nails and they came out absolutely opposite of what I wanted, I know she could see the disappointment in my face because of the terrible job. So I asked her to put a what color was the solid pink which another nail tech had on and she replied I dont know ask her,,, RUDE... At this point I was feed up sick and tiered and ready to leave Amys chair. At the end she charged me $40 for my nails.... OVER CHARGED... and my friend who has been going here for a year said to call and explain what happened so that they can fix her mistake and they denied to fix nails but offered me to come in and pay another $40. WHAT!!! Now I was trying not to be rude or an obnoxious customer but they obviously dont care that i have figures and can type a review of my terrible experience.

Just said sit down. She was so rude, impatient and had a very negative vibe. She pretty much yelled at me when I said I wanted them a little thicker to be darker. When I left I noticed what I feared, they were completely see through. I went somewhere else to fix because I didnt want to deal with her attitude. I ended up paying double. Im not sure if I caught her on a bad day, but it almost felt like she was annoyed to do my nails. Maybe she doesnt like new clients. Her works great but as a business owner and fellow beauty professional Id never want anyone with that attitude working in my establishment.

Suri Nunez The first time I got a manicure here I was very pleased with the speediness, quality, and service so I decided to try them again. This second experience still checked off speediness and service but the quality drastically decreased. The primer didnt cure properly so this lead to wrinkling air pockets in my manicure.

mireya uribe I went to vanessas nail spa yesterday to fix a broken nail. Since they didnt have the color that I had I changed it. I kept my previous nails, the color and the fixing I got charged 45 dollars. I was like wow okay. So the they guy did my nails I wasnt happy when I walked out but I was like Ill give it a shot. I went through my day hating my nails. I decided to go back and my nails fixed they did it for me. Thats the only reason why they got two stars. While hes is fixing them he is telling me that its basically my fault for not getting the new nails. I dont recommend this place.

I had asked her if she can please narrow the tips down and replied with attitude. My overall experience was bad here. While she was fixing my nails she continued on making rude remarks and continuously calls me picky when all I wanted was to be satisfied with my nails because I am paying for the service. She had also told me that my nails for $40 before beginning the service and after she had charged me $55. She told me that her changing the nail shape added more money when I think she was purely being petty and raised the price just because I was unsatisfied. This was my first and last time going here and I don’t recommend this place. On the other hand David’s nails across from here provided me with fast/good service and i always leave very satisfied. I have been going there for so long and had decided to switch it up but I will not make that mistake again.

janessa ramirez (UPDATE) my toes started chipping three days after the pedi, and my nails are so thin my pinky nail broke right off, not even a week later. Absolutely insane. From three stars. To ONE. I do not recommend, I’ve told all my friends to star clear!!!! … The man who does the pedi cures is absolutely amazing! I’ve been here multiple times. And Vanessa herself is pretty good and friendly, but there is a younger man, the one without the accent. Well let me just say how UNPROFESSIONAL and frankly rude he was, on top of OVER CHARGING ME, he was watching the cowboys vs. Green Bay packers game instead of focusing on getting the job done. All I wanted was white v tip with coffin shape. And I was there over an hour just for my simple nails. He had to redo more than one nail over again. I can tell he was getting frustrated. I would absolutely NOT recommend getting your nails done by him. At all. And sadly I don’t think I’ll ever go back because of that. Because I was so satisfied with my pedicure I was being generous with my star rating. My nails are lumpy not cleaned up and over all not good at all. charged me $65. Not including the tip.

Had to ask 2 x for my daughters pedi water to be turned on she was getting a full pedi so why wouldnt they? Ok for solid colors on a day you are needing a fast service thats it . Tina Ruiz This is my first time here and I went to Tammy the owner my nails originally had builder gel which actually really ruined my nails. My nails are fairly thin and Tammy did an excellent job with consultation and aftercare with Suggestions on how to improve my nail beds and overall Nail Health . She did a acrylic overlay with gel on top. I will definitely be going back to Tammy. Most nail technicians other salons will do your nails, no matter what condition but Tammy truly cares about her customers in Nail Health.

sarah pickens Never think because you have been going here for YEARS they will not try to scam you. I paid $125 for two pedicures. I had also requested my brows be done but even tho an appointment was made prior they rushed us out there and gave the most pathetic pedicure I’ve ever seen. Then when it came to my brows they took me in laid me down started to trim and said oops the wax machine is broken when it fact it was not. Like I said they were rushing us. She asked I come back the following day. Because she had started the process and I knew I was coming back the next day I paid $150 and went back the next day as discussed. 2 pedicures is $70 btw and a ridiculous $15 extra for gel on my toes. When I went back, I asked her “I’m already paid for the eyebrows correct” and she said “yes my friend I wasn’t sure you were coming back”. As I was leaving, she starts saying. “You never paid me”. I explained to her that I did in fact, pay her the day before because I did not pay $150 for two terrible pedicures and sure as heck was not tipping anyone that much for being rushed out” She’s also lucky I did not press charges against her because she did put her hands on me and pushed me out of the door when I was telling her I would no longer be coming back. I was not yelling I was not being obnoxious. In fact, I will be making a police report. Don’t worry. I’ll keep you guys update.

Rebeca Rocha I went to get my manicure and pedicure done back in December 2024, I was very disappointed with the results. I always love to get RED color and they ended up putting me an orange color. I went back two weeks later, and the owner keeps looking at the customers, like he is working for a prison watching for any movement and like he’s very hungry We are customers not criminals. He should be humble, and at least pretending to be friendly and grateful to his customers.

Ciara Clayton I have been coming here on and off since I was about 11 years old. I used to tag along with my mom for her appointments and started getting manicures along with her. As I got older, I found my own nail tech who is home based. She typically does my nails, but when she doesnt have a spot and Im desperate for a simple set, I will come to Sassys to hold me over. Thats how I ended up here this afternoon. I have never really had an issues with techs in the past, they are usually quick and do what I ask for. Firstly, the removal of my previous set was HARSH. I was in a bit of pain the whole removal. The tech went to work buffing/filing my nails. I started bleeding. The tech didnt mention it, simply continued to work over the blood. Made me feel a little gross. Especially, because Im assuming these tools are reused. I showed the tech a picture of exactly what I wanted. The tech didnt ask me what shape I wanted and did very little to no shaping at all, leaving me with chunky, wide nails. Not my style but not the end of the world. I asked for a sage green ombre. Now, every salon I have been to ever, has always asked what color for the "nude" portion of the ombre. I am extremely fair skinned so I do understand that a typical nude will turn out really dark on me. However, the tech whipped out a bright pink that I wouldnt even use for frenchies. I also asked for gems to be put in the CENTER of each nail at the bottom of the nail bed. The gems were placed cockeyed as hell. I walked out with chunky, unshaped, cockeyed nails. I had to beg my nail tech to get me in to fix this disaster. Worst part is I paid over $80 for them to trash my nails and now I have to shell out more money for someone else to fix the set so I can look at my hands for the next two weeks without feeling like an idiot for trusting what I thought was a decent salon. Im sorry, but with so many talented home techs who beat salons in pricing, availability, and technique/style, you guys have got to step it up. There is no room for mediocre in such a saturated market. I learned my lesson and will not be straying from my tech ever again. Also, pricing is inconsistent. I have had much more complex sets from this salon with a lower price than what I paid today. Side note, I seemed to be annoying the tech with my presence. Seems she didnt want me there at all. They were dead when I came in. Only one other person with an appointment the whole time I was in there. Overall, they arent consistent in their work and pricing. I wouldnt recommend coming here especially spending upwards of $100. If you do walk through their doors, please know what to expect. It isnt amazing but not the worst. Just super disappointed in my experience today.

JAIME DORANTES I do not recommend it. She left me waiting for 40 minutes... I was supposed to have an appointment at 3pm and around 3:20 another person arrived and they put her through before me. That bothered me. Even so, I waited 20 more minutes but nothing happened so I left that place.

Connie Mello ABSOLUTELY WORST PEDICURE of my life. i tried to give this place another chance i can’t with there random prices and poor service . It was freezing cold water then rinsed me with burning hot water to set my feet in cold water. i have callus’s and psoriasis and she never exfoliated or even scrubbed the dead skin off. but they sure took my money She took the old paint off and only scrubbed my toes and then rinsed with hot water and put new paint on. i pointed out my callus’s twice and no response.

They are not consistent with pricing my mother had gone before with my sister and I got charged completely different when both got the same item they are very over priced and inconsistent with their pricing. Had an appointment and waited over 30 minutes My niece was with my and her nails were done terrible. Mine were okay but was rushed for manicure and pedicure due to the almost closing but had an appointment 1.5 before closing

Issabella Flores Jacked up prices. Basically it was $5 for each toe and finger and then some. I called before and they said it was $45 for a full set. They ended up charging $55 for pedicure and $50 for manicure. They didn’t cut my cuticles or even massage my hands. He said that’s separate. This place is overpriced. Kim was pretty good with my feet but other than that it’s not worth it.

None of my coffin shapes were actually shaped right even though I paid 5$ extra .. They messed up my toes an after fixing it they didnt even put a clear coat back on top . or repaint my nails after filing on them to attempt to fix the shape when I complained ...

Caty Valdovinos Used to love this place until they do watever the heck they want. She left red glitter on my white nails, did not design my nails like I asked. I kept telling her and she would just ignore me. Not coming back for acrylics ever again!!!!!!

Kavita Chand I get my pedicures done here all the time. If you are going to pick a shop, this is the one. I’ve tried most of the ones in Modesto. They’re super patient and do good work. My immediate family and in laws all come here.

Lety Guerrero Very bad 1st experience. I asked for acrylic only on my big toe and it looks very bad and crooked. She hurt my skin a lot. As you can see in the photo it looks red and swollen. I feel pain so I will never go back!

Liv Fugate Staff is friendly but I definitely didn’t have the nails I wanted. I paid $40 for a full set that wasn’t anything remotely like the picture I showed. They also charged me extra for shape and my nails were definitely NOT coffin shaped at all... Not to mention one of them fell off within 4 days of having them done. I would look elsewhere if you’re seeking something that requires any skill or attention to detail for your nails! Especially at the price.

Geneba Revuelta I encountered bad customer service by a guy who worked there I believe his name was John. It was my first time there, not only was he rude but he also lied about the charge. I asked for a set of acrylic nails which on the sign it said $25 but when he finished he said it was $38. When I confronted him about the prices he said it was because he used gel I never asked him to use gel I just picked a blue nail polish and then he also charged an extra fee to shape my nails. I’m not saying I’m mad that I paid that amount what I’m truly displeased about is the lack of communication in regards to prices. I highly suggest that not only John but other employees as well Inform the customers how much they will be charged and the reason behind that amount.

Garcia Nereida (Creations by Nereida) Went to get my full set done at this nail salon. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with my nails. It has only been 6 days since I went in as a walk in and my nails are not looking so great. I am always afraid that as soon as I leave the salon something can happen to the polish. I tend to not get my nails done so often.This happened on my way home. It was too late to turn around.

Zayda Iniguez This a great spot for nails they take the time to make sure they leave them super beautiful. They have a wax room so I like it for the price $12 eyebrows. And I think the whole face is $30. I can see they throw everything way!! Super clean and Ive seen them refused services to nasty feet! #no. I think they have like 8 nail techs and like four of the ladies who do eyebrows. Nails start at like $23 but they dont care if you want a different shape!

Chelsea Rogers I only give this place a 2 because 1 of the girls here is happy to give u what u want. I have tried this place about 4 times and only once have I got what I paid for. The pedicures are not worth the money because u dont get to relax cuz u are to bizzy worrying about what the girl is messing up on. And dont even ask about their full set service. I got my nails shaped and cammie herself passed me off for the next costumer and I got my nails painted by an amature. Now I have another 2 weeks of a set that I didnt want. Nd dont get the man there either!! He is more into his football and soccer games than ur nails!!

Kavita Chand I was coming here for years. One day, I asked for a white chrome for my engagement nails and they gave me a pink sparkly one instead and told me to trust the process. I told them this was not what I wanted at all, and walked out. Never again. They also are always in a rush.

Kendra Clark Honestly worst manicure of my life. All I wanted was a change of gel polish on my nails. I immediately noticed as they were taking off my prior gel polish that they were scraping my natural nails causing them to lose a ton of strength and asked her to stop, as my normal tech never does this. This made her angry, and she refused to change what she was doing. Then, she proceeded to give me the most rushed and bizarre manicure. She would paint like 3 nails and let them cure, then paint them all, and then cure again. The result is extremely uneven coverage. There was dried gel all over my cuticles when she was done and the shape was so terrible I ended up spending 30 min when I got home just trying to make my nails look presentable. I’m really disappointed. Getting my nails done is my me time that I splurge for since I recently went through a difficult divorce, and instead of leaving relaxed and happy, i left frustrated and upset. I asked for my money back and was told no. I left in tears.

Karina_ Beas Not satisfied with the service and took way too long, I ended up coming here because I was in the area and I usually go elsewhere but no polish didn’t last on the pedicure and I ended up getting an infection. my doctor put me on antibiotics because of this.

karen bell What happened to this place? I have been going there for 10 yrs. Well, no more! 2 employees (that I have never seen before) and myself. I asked for a pedicure, no polish. I let him know I like the water hot, it was ice cold. I was in the chair for 10 minutes! My toes look like crap! My toes are jagged and uneven. He didnt even touch the cuticles. I said something to the lady when I paid and she had no reaction. What a waste of money!

Sheree White Nails are good but had to go home and re-scrub my nails because she left powder all over my fingers and she also nicked me and made me bleed ,after scrubbing I had to put my own cuticle oil back on just so I could take a good picture, there was no way I could take a picture right after because my nails look like they had dried glue on them and didn’t tip $55 I won’t be going back ! Picture is after I did the work at home to make them presentable !

April F I’ve never taken the time to leave a bad review I felt this was necessary. I walked into Luxe at 6PM on 3/8/25, It was at night so I didn’t notice until I got home at how poorly they painted my nails. They painted over dust from filing the acrylics I had on off, gel on my skin, and one of my nails wasn’t cured properly which is a HEALTH HAZARD. I included a photo where you’ll see a difference in the color of my nails. Paid $43 dollars and even tipped 20%. I’d like to highlight that uncured gel can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions… and not even making sure before curing that there isn’t gel on the skin shows such disregard for people’s health. It is one thing to paint horribly but another to allow people to walk out of the salon with uncured nails. If it wasn’t at night, I would’ve noticed. It saddens me to leave a review like this but it’s important people are aware of what you’ll be exposed to.

Ellie Joyce I have been here a few times and loved my manicure or pedicure each time! The salon is veryyyy clean and everyone is friendly. They really take the time to make sure that your nails are perfect! I recommended two of my friends and my mother to go here, and everyone was impressed and happy with their service!

Jocelyne Lopez I used to enjoy coming to this salon, but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Over the years, I’ve had pedicures, manicures, full sets, and nail art services here, but the quality has significantly declined. If you’re lucky enough to get a skilled nail tech, you might leave with a set you’re happy with. However, more often than not, you’ll experience rushed and inconsistent service. While I cant speak for their other services since I no longer get pedicures here, the manicures are subpar. They take about 10 minutes—just lotion, a quick cuticle push, a couple drops of oil, and that’s it. If you care about the health of your nails, I’d highly recommend finding a different salon.

Alexandra Marin My sister and I decided to get a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. We booked weeks in advance and confirmed multiple times to make sure we’re booked and we were confirmed. The day of service we called to tell whoever answered the phone we were running a few minutes late and whoever answered was unsure about our booking so we messaged Cammie and she said sure come on in. Instantly, we felt as our appointment was an interference to her schedule. The entire service was rushed. I definitely do not recommend. The only reason we went still was cause we needed our pedicure and nails done by the next day but if we had time we just wouldn’t have gone in. Cammie definitely needs to learn some hospitality. Save your money, go somewhere else

Robin Dubbs Liz is great! She has always been very kind to me and my girls. We go for pedicures and eyebrow waxing. She is the only one I trust for waxing. The pedicures are great. She does get busy as she is the only one currently working. Its best to make an appointment. Great with ingrown toenails!

Suzanne Eckles I phones from the parking lot to see if they take walk ins. She said yes and I asked if now is a good time she said yes again. I went inside there was nobody else there, no employees nor customers. I needed the gel polish removed and a fill on my acrylic nails and gel polish again. (It had been 3weeks since my last fill) Unfortunately, Liz rushed herself through the process and I dont even think the polish was gel. I wanted short to medium square nails. They were all different lengths, and they were more coffin shaped than squared and the polish of which she applied 4 coats of, was streaky and one nail had bubbles in the polish. I required another fill within a week because of the poor job she did and the polish chipped. I went there because of the location, it worth the extra time and gas to go elsewhere.
