John Locke A wonderful reserve of wetlands for watching the ducks and birds, walking dogs, cycling, picnic and jogging along the creek and trails. There are BBQ facilities and parking space. You can watch cricket or football in the nearest ovals.

Anita Harris What a terrific park. Amenities, parking in a few different locations (including street parking near quite a few points of entry if you go off the main street), tables and chairs, a playground, waterways and ponds, and my favourite feature - walking trails and paths that ramble through the place. It also has quite a few pretty sections, particularly along the creek/stream/river. For a mid-sized suburban park, its worth exploring.

Sarah st leger I love walking in this area. So many different options. And it is amazing what you can see

Suresh Racha The park visited today was Actually Gardiner Park, behind Gardiner Stn but google maps live navigation directed me prompting it as Glen Iris park .. This needs to be re- verified by Google Maps! The park is small with BBQ Picnic Area, good seating for visiting families, with children play areas surrounded by many tall n beautiful shade giving trees , however the maintenance is poor .. needs more care !

Nara Lee Very pleasant and beautiful walking/cycling trail that spans several parks along the creek. The greenery is maintained beautifully. Definitely worth going for a more scenic exercise.

Jeremy Cox A fun local park where our club played rugby against Monash. Was a bit wet and sodden, and the hard cricket pitch in the playing field isnt ideal, but a beautiful setting with the trees all around the single field. Good facilities in the clubhouse too, was able to buy a beer and a tasty burger.

Andrew Hewett Good playground for little kids. Parking is across a not very busy road. Next to a big oval for running around or dogs, when organised sport isnt being played.
4 /5
John Downes Lovely playground for kids, fenced off from Street with brand new play equipment 2023. Safe and happy. Right beside cricket pitch and dog park, with Gardners Creek Trail walk/bike path into city.

MoodatKk Dog friendly park! Big area. Public Toliets available. My favourite place is the lake hiding in the trees at the back of the park.
5 /5
Maria Ngo The park includes a pretty bit of bushland with information plaques about the trees. Park benches and drinking water fountain available for humans and 4 legged friends. Basketball hoop and small court with practice batting cages nearby. A decent sized well maintained field for training in. Play equipment for young children. Parking across the road. Lovely creek runs alongside this.

Andrew Ford Nice footy oval in the green parklands. There is something for everyone here. If you have little kids their is a playground, a cafe opposite or a running track if you are that way inclined. The only issue is the oval itself is quite small and the manual scoreboard is a bit old school. But a nice ground nonetheless.

Cecilia Wong Nice park land with a good playground and a large oval for kids and dogs to run around. Close parking too. Park is connected to a series of other parks so you can go for a nice long walk. Heaps of dogs and runners and cyclists though so it can get very busy. Cafe right across the road has decent coffee and an outdoor seating area. Overall lovely area to visit. Look forward to next time.

Rastogi Aditya (Aadi) If youre of out of choices, and thinking about which park to go to, Ferndale park is the one for you. It has got expansive grounds, excellent childrens playground, huge oval, AFL goal posts, cricket nets, turf cricket pitch, massive parking, public transport access, public toilets, bike trail and an amazing cafe right next to it. It also is only 300 metres from and amazing BMX park called Hill n Dale park. The playground is full of fun activities for people of all ages and abilities. There is also the Glen Iris Scout club there. Overall, Ferndale park is a great park where you can spend a few hours with the whole family or plan a picnic.

Ady Barda Great walk incorporating urban and outdoor forest like environment. Can feel lost in the wild Lots of birds to see and some wiles berries to decrease your pallet
4 /5
Adam G Ferndale Park is quite large with a sporting oval, and shared walking and cycling tracks (Ferndale Trail), as well as a kids playground. It also has some, but limited, seating and public toilets. There are some good cafes like the Pantry and Has Been close nearby on Glen Iris Road. The park is home to St Marys Salesian Amateur Football Club, Ashburton Willows Cricket Club and Ashburton Junior Football Club and it gets quite busy when theres a home game on. The main problem at this park is that parking is very limited.

John Locke A nice area for sports in the cricket field, walking dogs, running, cycling and picnic. There are also a playground and walking trails which cyclists also ride along, so be careful. Remember to visit the nearby Burke Road South Wetland and Gardiners Creek Trail as well because there are lovely swans, ducks, butterflies, bees and flowers.

Victoria Cullinan Absolutely gorgeous grounds and an amazing sports club house! One of the best set ups I have seen in a while, from the gorgeous roof terrace to the open fronted building! I was very impressed with its style and functionality

H J (justher) Not a huge ground; with cricket pitch and rugby posts and a playground on another end. Good for the doggos to run around and socialise; there’s a creek so either you like your water loving doggo to jump in or not, just something to note :)

Andrew Watkins Nice oval, good pitch. But no toilet facilities for players or parents to use ... makes for an uncomfortable 4hrs at junior cricket.

christian arevalo Beautiful reserve, lots of nature and dog areas. They have been doing renovations to the cricket field. It also has areas for kids and creeks.
