Kia Yang A Fantastic Spot for Training, Walking & Relaxing I recently visited Brimbank Park as part of a Spartan pre-training session, and it was the perfect location to organise an outdoor workout. The park offers expansive open spaces, well-maintained trails, and plenty of shade, making it an excellent choice for both fitness enthusiasts and families. Clean and Well-Maintained Facilities One thing I really appreciated was the well-kept restrooms—they were clean, accessible, and conveniently located, which is always a plus when spending time outdoors. A Great Café to Recharge After our training session, we stopped by Lumber & Co. the park’s on-site café, and it was a great addition to the experience. The coffee was excellent, and the food options were fresh and delicious. Whether you need a post-walk snack or just a place to relax, it’s a fantastic spot to sit and enjoy the natural surroundings. Scenic and Easy-to-Walk Trails The footpaths and walking trails are well-maintained, making them ideal for a relaxing stroll, a brisk walk, or even a scenic bike ride. The trails are wide, easy to navigate, and offer stunning views of the Maribyrnong River. Whether youre out for a casual walk, training, or riding a bike, the park provides a beautiful and peaceful setting. Plenty of Parking and Accessibility Parking is never an issue here—there are multiple parking areas spread across the park, making it easy to find a spot close to your preferred entry point. This convenience makes the park very accessible for visitors of all ages. Beautiful Mature Trees and Relaxation Areas One of the best things about Brimbank Park is the lush, mature trees that provide plenty of shade. There are numerous picnic tables, benches, and open spaces, making it the perfect place for a picnic, a quiet moment of relaxation, or a gathering with friends and family. A Must-Visit Outdoor Space Overall, Brimbank Park is a gem. Whether you’re there for training, walking, cycling, or just unwinding in nature, it has everything you need for a great outdoor experience. I love the mature trees, birds and people walking their dogs. I’ll definitely be back!

gjcc73 Solid walking or riding track for a gravel or MTB bike. Parts of the area are still flood affected. Impressive Trestle Bridge structure.

Thomas Liontis You can get pretty close to the viaduct, under the bridge via Brimbank Park and also by walking on the trail all the way to the nearby lookout. Adds to the scenery I suppose.

Iva Izman Looking for a mindful place close to home? The Watcher is in Keilor next to Essendon. This was my go-to spot in lockdown 2021 as it was within my 10km travel radius. I came here so many times alone to workout, chill or brought the family for a quiet time enjoying the view. You cant swim but you can bring scooters to scoot along the boardwalk. Not suitable with toddlers unless you constantly hold their hand. There area picnic tables around, plush grass to sit and picnic and theres also 2 BBQs there. No toilets or facilities. Just a simple mindful miniature lake to chill ❤️ Its tucked within a residential area!

WB Adventures Another one of those places/suburbs Melbourne throws at you and that’s a great thing about this beautiful city! If you’re up this way worth the lookout for the lookout guy! And a great little area for a BBQ and away from the craziness of Keilor Road.

Sheila G Super interesting place to have fresh air, have a walk and observe falcons! Yes! You read it well: if you have a good telescope you can see falcons on the “rock wall”

Atul Kumar Pretty much nature with lake and coffee shop.

Richard T.Whybrow Very large and well-equipped park with playgrounds, gazebos, basketball court, BMX Skateboard park, multiple lakes / ponds. There is plenty of wildlife and a beautiful bridge to cross the wild life lake. Easy access to the park via Rachelle Road where there is a car park, playground, and toilet facilities. There are three lakes which water flows from one to the other lakes and a large footbridge giving you a birds-eye view of the major lake. The park is open 24 hours a day and has excellent wheelchair access.

5.JH Allan Reserve

Address: Allan Reserve, 90B The Crossway, Keilor East VIC 3033

Imges JH Allan Reserve

(86) Reviews JH Allan Reserve:

MM Great playground for families however the surrounding field is not maintained by the council. The weeds are almost at thigh height now and could be dangerous to walk through. Although you can have dogs on the lead in this reserve I’d never walk there
2 /5
Sammy T Great space to play and watch football particularly the mighty EUFC. Clean change rooms.
5 /5
Lucas M Shade around the bbq area is really lacking and the so called indigenous grass is just am excuse to not mow it. Doesnt make sense to have a playground and bbq area right next to a long grass area that is clearly not maintained and poses hazards
2 /5
ben (Eagle_0ne) Bit tight for parking. Insufficient seating for spectators

Robyn Cliff There is a soccer ground there surrounded by trees. Its mostly fenced off & you are allowed to have your dog off leash there. However there are no public toilets. There is a community centre & a bocce pavillion in the midfle area. The community centre (Burley Griffon) is not open a lot...at least when Ive gone past it. You would have to contact Moonee Valley Vouncil regarding programs there. The far end is much more interesting for families with kids as there is a large playground & BBQ facility there...not sure if that is also part of the JH Allan Reserve or not (?)
