Jalia -Simmons The doctors and staff were amazing they took very great care of me. They were extremely nice and attentive. They were on top of everything. I have my second surgery there a few days ago and this is the best place to go to if you have to have any procedures.

My Google Reviews Stanford has falsely charged me for visits and procedures that never occurred. They’ve lied to my insurance and refused to prove these debts were removed from my accounts. Their ob-gyn providers never show up for appointments or do not treat patients fairly. Wait time to see a PCP IS 7 MONTHS OUT. Emergency breast imaging is 6 weeks out. Dermatologists are impossible to schedule with and won’t see you in person. Trying to get an MRI? Don’t be upset when they schedule you a month out and then cancel two days before then don’t have an opening for you for another two months. Urgent Care won’t follow up with you and you won’t be able to get answers on anything when going through an emergency because you know…. 4 PCP referrals and no one can get you in. Genetic counselors that won’t take your care seriously even when three family members have died of cancers related to the BRCA gene. They won’t clear you for testing. Are you in menopause? No help here. That’s just part of life. Deal with it. Stanford has become a literal joke. Horrible care. Fraudulent billing. No patient transparency or records and refusing billing and records or discussions in writing. Wildly disappointing.

Janna Ham The staff is amazing. The quality of care and communication is extremely professional. They can do it all at this hospital. The rooms are so nice and have gorgeous views and a menu for room service. You eat what and when you want. I feel blessed to have been sent to this hospital. The doctors and nurses were so kind and efficient. They were always right there to assist you. I had several procedures performed to get to the perfect surgery needed which would have taken a year of doctors appointments otherwise. I had been in smaller hospitals which were unable to take care of me and was lucky to have been transported here. My 4 week stay here was a positive experience with the best care ever

Bryan Hernandez I was transferred here for brain surgery & yes my life was saved & im super grateful. Unfortunately the rest was bad & my experience has created trauma which has made it difficult to heal because I’m so angry. I always remember u was in the ICU after surgery & I called out to my mother only for the ICU nurse to make fun of me & scold me for calling my mother. While recovering another nurse wouldn’t give me something for heartburn or hiccups but another nurse right away gave me something. The nurse basically lied saying there was nothing but there was. The next day the head nurse apologized for that nurse’s behavior & said she’s racist towards curtain groups & she does it all the time. Why not fire her?? But that’s far from my experience. I was or am basically forced to figure everything out alone. No plan or guidelines as to what to expect was given after surgery just MRIs.we make the drive which is like 4 hours for an MRI & that’s it. Sounds good no? The problem is every problem is an MRI & instead of listening they rather not take you seriously. Remember that nurse that made fun of me? She spent her shift trying to insert a feeding tube that they messed up my nose. It’s all about money here & they sort of waste your time. One doesn’t know better because the experience is new to them but once you catch on you realize how we’re just experiments to them. One has to notify others & warn them on social media or word of mouth. I just can’t wait to get better to warn others.

Joy Marlin PREGNANT PEOPLE BEWARE! If your doctor submits labs, those lab requests will stay on your file up to a year. Best tip is for you to confirm which doctor has submitted the labs requests PRIOR to your tests. Or else youll be on the hook to pay for labs that were outdated and irrelevant. Its like as if someone came up to your windshield wipers cleaned them and demanded you to pay without asking if you wanted the service. Outrageous.

wm ch Doctor asked me not to eat or drink for 1 hour prior to taking the lab test. I followed that and came early for a morning test. The lab technician however told me teeth brushing is not oaky either. Nobody mentioned this to me at all before the visit . The document of doctor instructions clearly showed no eat or drink, but not about teeth brushing. If the lab has critical information that is different from doctor’s instruction, they should communicate with patients beforehand.

Jacqueline Morga This is the worst place ever! Providers and those working within the internal medicine department really don’t care! Went into an appointment that I was told I would only go in for if I would be able to get care (testing), if not my pcp would refer me to dermatology. I went to the appointment and was basically told they couldn’t do anything for ME to contact dermatology myself. There was no point of going to this visit, a complete waste of time! I could’ve been told this over the phone. Then the Dr didn’t want to tell me who scheduled my appointment and misinformed me (it was directly from internal medicine). So unprofessional!

catmom clark Over the last few years that my husband has been a patient here, Ive seen a decline in scheduling, and response time from staff. His Oncologists have been above and beyond fantastic. His speech pathologists have been awesome as well. Nurses in the hospital and Infusion Center have been great. With a few exceptions, the scheduling has become a nightmare, and some of the Office Staff seem to have inflated egos. Stanford saved his life many years ago, and the saga continues. However, the staff that is supposed to be the "backbone" to the hospital, are failing. I dont know if the working environment is bad, or if there is a hiring requirement that states they must be rude, lazy and inept in order to work there. Come on Stanford...step it up.

Mark Willens Be careful... My wife needs a CT scan and this facility quotes $25,000 "discounted" to $11,000. A separate outpatient imaging facility quoted $900 for the exact same CT imaging. Always research who you get service from. This facility is inflating their prices! This is how insurance and hospitals are making so much money.

Donald Ross 2.5 years ago I moved my care from another bay area provider, thinking I would get better care from the highly touted Stanford. I have received care from various Physicians in various departments and I was forunate to have very good DRs, Nurses, and other team members. BUT, the downside, It is the lack of communication between departments, technical, online and computer providing wrong medications and more. Due to error, I wound up in EC Hospital ER last year. My appointments were delayed due to peer communications and today my medication and appointment that took me 3 months to get is pushed into another time. As soon as I finish my treatments with this mess of an organization, I am returning to my previous organization, where I should have stayed to begin with. I will also inform APPLE and UHC of all the issues I have had to bear.

Katrina Tsun Avoid at all costs. If you need mental help especially, you’re better off getting arrested. I’m not even kidding. At least then, you’ll get a warm cell with a toilet and a sink, and a bed with blankets and a pillow. And you’re more likely to get out the next day too. Absolutely inhumane treatment. The psychologist who treated me couldnt even tell the difference between mania, delusions and psychosis. I was overmedicated, had to start refusing medication, and even had to have a hearing to be able to leave after 3 days. I can honestly say I became significantly worse after staying. I will never come back here again. Everyone who works here should be ashamed of themselves. But then again, these are the same people that brought you the Milgram Prison Experiment, so is it really that surprising? Avoid at all costs.

Susan Price I went to Dr. Diana Tahereh Atashroo for a laparoscopy to have my endometriosis cut out. It went horribly because of the doctors carelessness. I am healthy, in my early 20s and all I wanted was to stop my pain. I was worried to have surgery and about scarring, but I was assured I would wake up pain-free and it would only be 4 very small horizontal scars. When I woke up from surgery I was in excruciating pain. I didnt know what was happening, I could barely talk. I was rolling around groaning and begging for help. In the common recovery room where even other patients were starting to get irritated at the lack of help and wanted to help themselves. Eventually, the anesthesiologist came and gave me pain medicine, and I was given a catheter after surgery. I found out it was urine retention because I did not have a catheter in during the surgery like I was supposed to. The anesthesiologist and a nurse who was helping with my surgery told me I did not have a catheter in at all during surgery. The laparoscopy went about 5 hours. Because of the pain my outpatient surgery turned into me having to stay overnight. I kept waking up in pain because of this. I was left in the dark as to what happened by this doctor. After I was finally able to go home the next day I removed the top layer of my bandages and seen someone had peeled the tape and my skin along with it and put the tape back on to hide it. I now have an ugly large rectangular tape scar. When I asked why this happened at my follow up appt, Dr Atashroo lied and told me I had a catheter in and she took it out when I was finished with my surgery, but the anesthesiologist and nurse told me I never had one. I just wanted reassurance this wouldnt happen if I have another surgery and an apology would have been nice. But all she did was get defensive and lie about it. The surgery did not help at all. Nothing has changed in regards to pain. Save yourself the heartache and pain and see anyone else.

C B (Bman) I went here for heart surgery but they screwed it up and now my life depends on a pacemaker. On top of that one of the nurses told me I should live in East Palo Alto, despite the high crime, because my wife is African American. AVOID THIS INSTITUTION BECAUSE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!

Alpha Astroid Stay away from this hospital! They have some of the worst, most racist, and unprofessional personel including incompotent physicians, lazy/mean nurses, unethical/rude/condescending case managers and disorganized social workers. Thats all I can say. CDPH and other health care authorities should investigate about their mismanagemnet and misconduct.
