My experience with these health care professionals here in Bishop has been above and beyond any other health care facility in the city, where you are pretty much just a statistic. They take a little more personal approach. And that’s more than I can say for anywhere else I have been treated.

Rick Ell 0 stars if possible. I was seen 4 TIMES for an ear infection I had for over three months. The last three were within a two week period. But, in order to get actual treatment they said I had to come in a 5th time. That’s over 7 hours wasted and over $125 dollars to get treatment. The staff were extremely rude and hung up on me multiple times. I think for a place that complains about not have enough doctors for the appointment requests they receive, they should actually make an effort to help people at their appointments. Do yourself a favor. Save money and go to the ER even if it’s something minor. You’ll actually probably save money.

Nancy Husband My first time with the move to the Rural Health Clinic and I couldn’t be any more impressed! The staff is wonderful just the best!!! The nurse’s were kind and considerate. We have been with Dr Wakamiya for a long while and both my husband and I love her she is kind , considerate and very attentive. You don’t feel rushed with her. She is easy to talk to. And she truly cares about you! I would highly recommend her to any!!!

Dan DeCamello Dr. Dominguez, Ethan, and Anna were all very helpful and kind during a scary time for me. They fit me into their busy schedules for urgent visits and followed up quickly, getting me everything I needed for referrals on the same day. Dr. Dominguez is thorough and has a great bedside manner. Ill definitely be coming back.

Jesse Marker Terrible place there Website clearly says they do extractions so i cancelled my appointment in Palmdale to get an extraction in Bishop, CA and when i get to the appointment after being told yes i can get an extraction there in Bishop they say no they do not do extractions in bishop regardless of what the website says and try to refer me to the same place i had just cancelled my appointment to in Palmdale.

MaryLou Najera I was suffering from extreme pain and it felt like a condition I’ve suffered from in the past, diverticulitis. I was doubled over in pain so had to interrupt my weekend getaway to go to the ER here. Not a fun way to spend your holiday! But I was seen quickly, had a few diagnostic tests and released after about 2 and a half hours. The meds provided relief right away and I was able to finish up my holiday weekend as planned with a few adjustments. I’m incredibly grateful for the helpful staff at the hospital who treated me kindly and with respect.

Ben Dennis Went there for ekg due to high heart rate. They ended up charging me north of $5,000 for a 1 hour visit to the ER with no medication or additional services other than 1 chest xray and 1 ekg. I have a high deductible plan so am on the line for these outrageous costs.

Derrick L With four active boys and as a retired RN from NIHD, I am very familiar with the many many quality services that this facility provides. The services have expanded a lot too over the years which gives locals better options that don’t involve having to drive hours north or south for appointments. Cardiology? Check. Urology, check. Telehealth services? Check. Orthopedics? Yep and a lot of people don’t realize how great and state of the art NIHDs Ortho, General, GYN, etc surgical services are. I’ve driven hours from out of town for ortho specifically. Need to deliver a baby? This is the only place for hundreds of miles set up for that. It was a great place to work but an even better place to receive care. I could go on and on with positive experiences and nice things to say about NIHDs quality of care and clinicians. Well done NIHD!
