Jennifer Hoglund Update: 5 months after I started seeing Cori she canceled my appointment due to illness. Totally understandable. She said shed call to reschedule. Cool. Two weeks later and nothing. No response to messages from my friend who is also a client. Three weeks later and I get an appointment reminder for the next day. I message asking if it was a mistake because we hadnt made an appointment. She said no, she was trying to get me in as soon as possible. I said the my work/life schedule needs more than 24 hours notice. And she never responded to me again. *** Saw Cori for my reblonding. She did great with the directions I provided from my past stylist. Lightened my hair a bit more than normal. The husband loves it.

Kim Noreen Anderson Had an amazing experience with Amanda and can highly recommend her. Everything about this salon is 5 star - from the text message the day before reminding you of your appointment to the receptionist that greets you when you arrive. It is clear that everybody that works here is happy ~ and everybody that leaves is too. Learned about this salon from my friend that has been going to Tanya ~ who is also excellent.

Bonnie Conrad Went here for the first time this week. Loved it! Cori trimmed and thinned my thick wavy hair. She did an amazing job. Happy to find a good hairdresser in Chico.

Bailey Pape I booked a cut and color for my birthday. When I arrived I was informed that the girl I had been booked with only had time for a cut which was really disappointing since I had arranged to have someone watch my kid just for this. Cut was average and cost $50! Luckily I had a gift card. Wont be back.

Joanna Robbins I’ve been a client of Nicole’s for 8+ years thru multiple salon relocations and she is worth following. She is a experienced stylist and I’ve always loved the way she colored and cut my hair from ombrés to asymmetrical A-line’s. Her salon is beautiful and I always love my appointments with her.

Cate Fisher Okay. Maryah is rad. I had such a great time coming in here last week. Ive been wanting to cut all of my hair off again for a really long time. But Chico is tricky – I looked up numerous stylists, many who clearly do great work, but their portfolios all seem to be surrounding balayage/color melts/etc. and long hair styles & updos (that could just be a result of the desires of the community, too, its really hard to tell). Obviously short haircuts can be a real tricky leap of faith, but I also have this curly hair with a mind of its own, so... I need to *know* Ive got someone who knows how to sweet-talk it. Then I found Maryah at Envee. She rocked it. I will say at first she was maybe slightly reserved, but people – you gotta realize the sheer span and intensity of attitudes from clients that a stylist is confronted with on a daily basis (side note: mechanics & anyone in the service industry knows all about this too). It can cause the very best of us to learn caution with new clients or customers. Doesnt matter. After a couple minutes, we were chattin away. Shes a super smart, interesting lady, and *skilled*. Its abundantly clear shes worked hard in this business for a long time. And then the next thing I knew, the cut was done. And it was freakin effin fabulous. Im going back to her in a couple weeks to get a touch up before one of my best gals gets married in Southern California. Gotta show up on point with those cats. Pinkies out. And a bonus: Love the open, spacious floor plan/layout of the salon, nice high ceilings, and the clean, tasteful aesthetics throughout; lovely professional space. Pardon the long story, but its good to be stoked. Thank you very much again, Maryah. So glad my search is finally over.

Youko Kurama I used Envee for my wedding. First I had a makeup and hair trial. That day they kindly squeezed me in for a hair cut as well. Just before the wedding, my husband and son also had hair cuts done here.The day of my wedding, they drove up to my venue for most of the bridal party to have hair and makeup done. The two ladies were so friendly and fun to talk to as we got ready. In total we have used them 3 times and would definitely use them again when we are in the area. :3

Kathryn Rather I was given a bowl cut style bangs here, I even went to get them trimmed up to what I actually wanted and still wasnt given what I asked for. The hair stylist told me they deal with pretentious people all day and then asked if I wanted my eyelashes done. No thank you, to all of it. I ended up going to a different salon and got what I asked for, except Envee cut way too far back into my hairline, so itll be 3 years or so until the hair that shouldnt have been cut is the same length as the rest. Thank goodness for bobbie pins. I realize people tend to be unhappy with haircuts, but Im writing this as a BIG warning to others. Go some place else!!! I did in the end and I wish I had in the beginning. On a positive note, the salon itself was spacious and beautifully decorated.

Teresa Christine Seward Wow! Wow! I started going to Maryah for hairstyle cuts in March 2022, and I have a big head hehe thick, wavy blonde hair which Id been cutting myself since onset of Covid--ack!! I showed her about 5 photos of whisper layered mid length hair, asked her to take out the big bump on back, bangs and angled around face/chin, 25 mins later and VOILA!! Gorgeous flowy feathery hair for only $35. Same thing next visit. She should be a celebrity hairstylist in LA or New York. Im not kidding, she is THAT GOOD!!! trust me on this. Go. Theres never more than one other stylist with one customer at any given time. They make their own amazing shampoos and conditioners. They do color and edgy works too. Its a great place, park right on empty street out front easy!

Lana Padgett Brenda is a great colorist and stylist. The salon is always clean and has a great vibe. Its always my fav time of month going to get "made over" by Brenda. I would recommend both Brenda or Abby. The salon was just recently remodeled and looks great. They now sell Kevin Murphy products, have fancy new dryers and quite a few chairs.

Marly May Not friendly about taking in new clients. You need a referral in order to get your haircut done in this studio even if you set up an open appointment on varago. Not worth the hassle, go to another studio.

Connie Dimas New in town, its not easy to find the right hair stylist suddenly. Surprisingly, I was able to find Beatris. She did an amazing job on fixing up my hair. I will definitely come back, she is a keeper forever. I highly recommend her!

Desyre Schaefer Tried to color my hair at home and it turned into a fiasco. Went way too dark then did a bleach kit and tried to tone it after. Ended up with brassy yellow-orange hair. I walked in and Elva greeted me and worked me into her schedule. She did a color deposit with the lowest developer possible to avoid further hair damage and also did a hair mask to help restore & hydrate. I came out a nice medium strawberry blonde which is what I was aiming for in the first place. The atmosphere in there is also very nice and professional. Highly recommend!

Suzanne Snyder Terrible place. I went to get my hair split bleached and dyed a purple red color my hair isnt virgin and i have home dyed it for years and never had an issue with lifting when i bleach my hair or color not sticking and my hair has never once turned green or bled after rinsing the color out. I ended up spending $400 on ugly green hair. The older lady doesnt know what shes doing she didnt rinse out all the color from my hair and when i called a few months to see what we can do to fix the issue she said she could charge me $200 to re bleach to fix it. When i asked if she could discount it some becuase of her mistake she said no becuase shes not obligated to fix any issues after a customer leaves the store.

Sonia Amador Lauren was wonderful. My hair was an overprocessed mess and she made it gorgeous again! She’s sweet and talented. This is my only go to from now on!
