The Best 7 Hair Salons in Hayward, Alameda (part 4)

Ari I came in to get my hair colored a light brunette and an extra fee to straighten my hair. After drying my hair, I noticed it was 3 different shades. Horrible work. (The woman doing my hair was also coloring her own hair in the salon at the same time. I had to continuously remind her when it was time to wash my hair out. Very unprofessional). I agreed to come back the following week for a color correction. I was told to wash my hair as soon as I got home and to wash several times before coming back. I come the next week and had to get a dark brunette, almost black to cover the 3 colors. She wanted me to pay again for a straightening service after asking me to wash my hair out the week prior. I refused to pay for a service I already paid for and she rudely tried to kick me out.

Luis Vaca I like getting my hair done here. The down side is that is always crowded. You never know who has an appointment but is frustrating when youve been waiting for an hour and you see people walking in and they get their hair done first. TERRIBLE DOWN SIDE IS THE LOUD MUSIC. This place is not a nightclub but the music is LOUD LOUD LOUD. This is annoying...

Xavy31prieto Prieto Do NOT come here these people are incredibly rude and do not take accountability for their actions. This is highly irresponsible and disrespectful. They show no remorse in messing up hair when I called the place they gave me attitude and telling me I’m the issue these people are disgusting people.

Diana Lopez GLADYS WHOM I BELIEVE IS THE HAIR SALON OWNER DID MY HAIR. I MAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER AT 4:30 AND 10 MINUTES BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT SHE TEXT ME SAYING SHE WILL BE LATE. SHE DID NOT ARRIVE 5 MINUTES PAST 5. SHE STARTED DYEING MY HAIR. IT TOOK HER 6 HOURS TO DO MY HAIR AND THE COLOR WASNT RIGHT, THE OMBRE I WANTED WAS HELLA UNEVEN. SHE HAD ME COME BACK THE NEXT DAY. ANOTHER 4 HOURS TO FIX IT BUT STILL MY HAIR WAS SO UNEVEN. SHE CHARGED ME $200 DOLLERS THAT WOULD INCLUDE THE HAIR CUT, HAIR COLOR AND HAIR TREATMENT. SHE ENDED UP NOT GIVING ME THE TREATMENT BECAUSE IT TOOK MORE TIME THAN EXPECTED, AS IF IT WAS MY FAULT. I DIDNT EVEN ARGUE ANYMORE I JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE GOING THERE EVER AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMENT THIS SALON.

stacey nyamusi Nice atmosphere well maintained and a good location but the staff was not friendly, nor could understand what I was saying…the main part here it comes after showing a picture of what exactly I wanted to do they do the opposite n half way through the process they want to charge me 10 bucks more!!!!!! After charging me $55 for gel manicure.

Darlene Kodur I use to come here years ago. They did a good job then. I recently went, altho the staff was polite, they work work on many people at the same time, which is annoying because you are paying for a service(an expensive service, now a days), and are always waiting for them to come back to you. They no longer do any kind of design, such as flowers. I did a french tip, which they charge extra for, and she did it all crooked. I am very particularly about it all being straight and even. I will never go back. They place is also dirty. They dont clean the tubs in between customers, only a plastic liner. They dont use clean tools/ scrubbers in between customers. That is how you can get fungus and infections on nails and skin. Most important reason not to go here.

datsukei Honestly if 0 stars were a thing, this establishment would deserve that. I remember going there for a haircut and the lady messes up big time. She cuts all the dyed hair so Im left with my boring black hair, then she also makes it too short after I asked her to stay below my eyebrows. I came out looking like actual trash, she gave me a mullet and that is not what I asked for. Of course I paid, but it was such a horrific experience. My mother also went there and the lady messed up her hair as well. They are lazy and careless and dont even pay attention to what you as a customer want. If can, dont go here or settle on this place. Absolute rubbish!!

Marlene Silva ZERO STARS Worst experience ever!!!! I came in to get my nails and the way the attended me was very unprofessional. In the middle of my set the lady left to go attend someone else and a different lady came to finish off her . She ended up rushing me and leaving me with clumpy nails!!!!! The job was horrible. I told her that this is not worth $35.00 and she kept arguing with saying it is. I told her to redo my nails and she slammed the pay book in front of me. When she started redoing my nails she was very aggressive and started talking in her language with very upsetting facial expressions at me and because i previously worked off of tips, I know how it feels not get Tipped. I still managed to tip her but she aggressively snatched it out of my hand and did not say a word at all. I’ve had better sets for the same price but never have I ever received horrible service. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!!!!!!

Venita Prasad Place has sign posted it closes at 8:00pm yet I got there at 7:20pm and the 2 old women tell me that it’s closed. I had talked to them before and they said yes we are open until 8 but as soon as I walked in they told me they r closed. I mentioned to them that u told me u will cut my daughter’s hair then all of a sudden they start talking in another language and didn’t seem to understand English. They r very rude and they should not have the place open

Jeanette Nguyen This family owned salon offers a variety of services, including haircuts, manicures, pedicures, eyebrow threading, and tanning. I came in to get my hair dyed and trimmed, and I also had my eyebrows threaded by the lovely Julie! Shes a mom of 5 and really knows how to make people feel welcome. The staff is very friendly and honestly always has their hands full with customers coming in and out at peak hours. The salon is located in a plaza with a Burger King, food store, and laundromat, so its very convenient. The interior is simple and practical-nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and functional. If youre looking for something affordable and reliable, I highly recommend this place.

Bobby C JULIE is very good at cutting men’s hair. She can do any hairstyle. I always get a Taper Scissor Cut once a month. I highly recommend her. She can get busy with other clients, so try to schedule an appointment.

sarahi castillo Don’t go Here for a haircut!! First I called to make an appointment with Amy since I heard she always does a good job when I got there the woman who greeted me and cut my hair said she was Amy (she wasn’t) She did terrible job!! I asked for 2 inches off my hair she cut about 8 inches, my hair was to my hips and I walked out with hair that nearly was to my chest I asked layers and she left it looking all choppy. I hate my haircut and sadly now I have to wait for it to grow out If you wanna look like and off brand Barbie doll go ahead. But otherwise I do not recommend. Unless you go to Amy herself. Don’t do it! It’s better to pay a few bucks more for a quality haircut.

Julia Nagel The staff was cool and I had a really amazing shampoo job from Michelle (I would go back just to get my hair shampooed because she gives really good head scratches!) I would not recommend going here for a haircut if you want to get layers or anything other that a quick and choppy trim. At least for my hair type which is thin/fine. They also upsell a lot! So go in knowing what you want! The gel nails I got were very cute and done quickly, perfect if you forgot to get your nails done before an event and you are in a rush. The devices used for filing were dusty/not very clean, and the cuticle scissors were very dull and it tore off my cuticles more than cut, leaving me with a couple hang nails after my visit.
