The Best 7 Hair Salons in Redding, Shasta (part 4)

Jessica Mcfarland I walked in the salon with my daughter as she really wanted to get her hair done for her birthday and i just wanted to schedule an appointment with them. All the hair stylists were busy with their clients however, they did not even acknowledge us. The only time we even got acknowledged was when a hair stylist walked right by us with her hair color mixture and blantly just looked at us up and down and kept walking right by. As someone who has been in the industry of pertaining good customer service, it would have been highly professional and courteous to have AT LEAST acknowledge potential new clients by saying "hi there, we will be with you as soon as we can." Or even a "sorry for the inconvenience, we are extremely busy and we can contact you in regards to an appointment when one of us are free." Never coming here again.

Tyrel Lynes Reasonably priced and FAST. I came in for a high fade 0 hard part and the barber got it done exactly the way I asked in about 15 minutes. Very impressed with how fast she got it done while doing exactly as I asked. Awesome!

Faith Adams I sadly did not get the name of the person who did my hair today, but they were so wonderful! My hair feels incredibly healthy and they cut off as little as possible which is exactly what I wanted. I’ve never been disappointed at this salon, quick service, good products, fair pricing, great employees! (: Thank you!

Clay Tucker If I could give zero rating that will be the rating for my experience at this place. I took my son for a haircut with pictures of back, front and sides of the same kid haircut and yet the girl for some reason got mad, started asking me for instructions of how to do the haircut, what clipper number to use, etc and then she said she was done after 5 minutes. I even offered to pay more for the specific haircut I showed hair but her bad negative attitude was strong and it showed in her unprofessional work. Obviously I had to take my kid somewhere else to get it fixed.

Patricia Valerga I don’t trust anyone with my hair for this exact reason, I asked for face framing layers…there’s no layers just a choppy rounded V cut it’s not the worst hair cut I’ve had but it’s not what I asked for, the stylist was visibly upset when I asked him to take off 2 more inches but didn’t say anything and did it anyways, can’t afford to pay to have it fixed so I guess I’ll be fixing it myself I should’ve known better…

Matt C in Redding Fast and easy place to get a haircut. I really recommend the gal named Aspen. Very quiet and gentle, LOL.. really did a great job with my haircut. Although the place could use a update, new carpets and paint would make it look great... the stations are clean and people that work there are wonderful.

Brittany Wheeler After reading reviews of this place I was pretty worried. I took my chances and was so glad I did! Michelle is a total sweetheart and very personable! She gave my son a great cut! The convenience of just walking in and getting a cut vs "scheduling an appointment" will always influence my choice in supporting small business. Robert Castelhano They simply cannot cut hair. Especially if you ask for a fade. Went through this twice with two separate women and left yesterday with the worst haircut in my life. Overpriced and under experienced.

Charles A Wilson II Great friendly staff, the girls are great. Wont get my hair cut any place else. Very professional, very kind. Michelle is great, best hair cut I ever had, and its the same every time. Recently there has been a price increase do you the high cost of everything involved with our national economy. The price for a hair cut went from 15.75 to 19+ but I will go no were else. You get what you pay for and the folks at Kwik Kuts do it right. The are good at what they do.

Matt C in Redding For a quick haircut that is relatively cheap.. This Is The Place To Go! Its conveniently located in a grocery store center that is usually staffed with friendly experience cosmetologist. I dont expect anything too fancy and dont expect to wait too long, as they are usually only 10 to 15 minutes away from a good haircut. They did recently dropped their frequent Cut Club where you could get a free haircut after every 10 not sure why they did that.. guess it hasnt impacted my choice.

Theresa Blume Do not have michelle do your hair, She gave me the worst haircut. I asked her to correct my hair cut and she didnt, She wouldnt refund me either. I had to go to a different salon to fix what they could but there was already to much cut off. So now im stuck with having to get extensions sewn in.

Alison Post-Deavers I highly recommend Melissa Bechtel and the girls at Split Endz styling suite in Redding, California! Melissa is the owner and an award winning hair designer! She specializes in color correction, beautiful extensions, amazing cuts and colors and boy does she kill it! Wow! When I had my first consultant with her she was very honest and upfront about my hair. She explained that color corrections are not done overnight! She said it would take 3-5 appointments and she was correct! She told me that with my baby fine hair I most likely would not be able to get platinum blonde with a dark root. So we discussed other options and came up with a plan! My hair is beautiful! I am thrilled about it! Melissa is always just a phone call or text message away! I call her before I purchase hair products, etc. I am so happy that I found her on social media and that she took me as a client! It is so cool that someone like Melissa is HERE in our small town of Redding! The quality of her work and her affordable pricing are second to none! Thank you, Melissa!

Leslie Nelson Melissa is awesome. First time seeing her and I will definitely be back. She may be the only stylist that has ever been able to significantly lighten my fine, thin hair and still leave it healthy. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted (even though I accidentally showed up super late!!) And totally delivered.

Samantha Grimes Melissa did amazing with my hair for the wedding. She was great to talk to and had amazing confidence with all of our different hair styles. She took as much hair as I had and just hid most of it like magic. Her workers are just the same. One of her other ladies did my engagement hair, I asked for her to do whatever and she made it beautiful as well. No beating around the bush. Will forever be a customer.

korynne gebhardt Melissa always works magic on my hair! Ive been coming to her since last September and she is the best! My hair was so damaged before I came to her. She always fits me in and is super welcoming and friendly. She actually takes the time to get to know her customers too, which I love. She also does weddings! Everyone in her salon is wonderful. I would highly recommend her or anyone else in her salon.

abby soule I came in for a partial highlight to correct some red tones from a previous, different salon’s service. The stylist was kind and friendly, but definitely did not give me what I asked for or wanted. Once she saw how it turned out, she immediately said she “wasn’t satisfied” with the color job and offered for me to come back and have her fix it. I agreed, but once I went home and saw the extent to which it was botched (it was VERY bad) I was no longer comfortable having her work on my hair again, and risk a worse job and more bleach damage. I kindly asked for a refund and was told they have a “no refund policy” despite her acknowledging that she wasn’t satisfied with her own work. I then reiterated my disappointment and asked for a partial refund and was ignored. Very disappointing and do not recommend this salon.

Rhonda Budnick Deneiie is the greatest stylist in my 63 years. I have never received as many compliments on my hair. Shes wonderful with thin, fine hair and making any age look their best.

Amy Marchione ThIs is the best salon! Tishea the owner who is also my stylist has improved my hair dramatically! I’ve been going to her for 4 years now and would never go anywhere else! She does amazing extensions as well! Have had extensions for 3 years and my hair has actually improved! No loss of hair at all. She has a great personality and really knows her stuff! She goes to classes and updates all her certificates yearly! Love her and all the girls at Red Chair Salon!! ❤️❤️❤️

Alejandro Caballero Barber was very professional and kind, He cut my two boys hair as if they were family. They were comfortable and really loved their hair at the end. Not only was the barber attentive to what why wanted but what was needed to give them the best cut. Will become regulars here!

Richard Weir I was in today 12)12/2023 @ around 11:30 was no waiting. I had told him that I had gotten a really bad haircut 4 months ago at Supper Cuts by Safeway and was given a buzz cut that I not had in 60yrs. I told him I didnt want a buzz. He was kinda giving me one. When I got home the sides were not layered didnt lay down back was the same. I have had in my life 3 bad haircuts the 1st was the worst these last two were really really bad. Now again 2 in a row I am going to have to wait for another 4 months. Also I asked/paid for a haircut not another BUZZ cut and didnt receive my senior discount. This is bad when they ask you what you want and do what you tell him what you dont want and he does it anyway.

Noah This was a lot better than any Supercuts or sports clips for my hair,and still looks good however it falls.. the prices are cool too

Dustin jenkins This was my second time taking my 1 year old son to Jeff and my third time getting my hair cut by Jeff and he’s been great every time. If you’re looking for someone to cut you or your toddlers hair I highly recommend Jeff. My son’s first haircut around his first birthday was with him and my son loved it, he’s great with kids. But I would have to say the highlight every time is the conversation, I always enjoy talking with him and he’s been the easiest barber to get along with that I’ve ever met. Highly recommend!

Crypto Friends Sad to say I will never recommend this place. I just laid witness to the owner (as she claimed) come out and harass a woman as she was leaving the parking lot. The first thing the owner did was yell "Get your things out of the middle of the road." The lady she said this to was already over half way across the parking lot/road. And having difficulty using her bike and hand cart at the same time. The parking lot was mainly empty. And eventhough there was a Jeep leaving the Jeep had no issues being able to go around the lady having difficulty. It is a sad thing when we see someone in need of assistance getting yelled at for doing just what the person yelling wants them to do.
