Jade Hernandez I have been following the curl lounge on instagram for quite some time, so when I saw they were looking for models I jumped on the opportunity! I am beyond impressed with how my hair came out as I have never had a curly cut before! Idalis was absolutely amazing and it was so relaxing to be in her chair! All the people here are so nice and respectful I 100000% recommend and will be coming back!

Araya Lew Let me start off by saying my hair is beautiful, but it is simply not what I asked for at all. I asked for no length off but got my hair cut by 3 Inches. The workers were nice but the conversations happening were really inappropriate. Talking about male strippers and random things like that. I messaged my hair stylist saying I didnt like the coloring, cut or styling. I paid 550 dollars and tipped 70. I told her I was unhappy with my hair and wished we could at LEAST fix the coloring but in response received a "free hair trim whenever you feel ready to maintain it again." When I just stressed that I didnt want hair cut off. Waste of 600 dollars and 4 hours of my life. My first time getting my hair cut in 5 years and I regret it.

Anna Kana Adi was absolutely lovely! She did a superb job cutting and styling my hair, and helping me figure out what products to use in order to maintain the look she gave me. The salon was very clean and well organized. The place was full of laughter, and everyone seemed to be very friendly with one another. I will be back before long!

Rocio Styling okay, but do not get a haircut here unless you want to micromanage. The vibe is great. Very cute place, and cool people. I Waites a while to make sure I wasn’t overreacting, BUT this was the worst haircut I’ve ever had by far. My hair looked like I had a Bob in the front and mullet in the back AFTER I went back and tried to get it fixed. I asked to keep most of my length, and that I would ideally like more volume and definition. I went with a level 2 stylist because I was finally splurging and figured I might as well go all out. They did a great job styling my hair and explaining what she was doing as she was styling it, it took a long time to style which I thought was a good sign but they used so much. Product I had dandruff from it the next day. The cut was very fast and they did not bother to part my hair before she started the cut. At the end of styling she noticed a section of hair that was a bit longer on my left side and she cut what felt like a rather large section of a very thick curl before I could react. I felt a bit rushed out the door, and after I left I was left with a section of hair about 3-4 inches longer than the rest of my hair. I think what happened was she went for that section before I left but she did so too quickly and haphazardly, cutting a very thick section off that was the WRONG section. I called a few days later to get it fixed. The communication felt not unprofessional but short. I kept prompting her to try to get rid of the obvious shelf in my hair, she just kept making the top layer shorter, but just on my left side so it is now asymmetrical. Again she didn’t bother to part my hair and didn’t ask many clarifying questions. I gave up on this place and left as it was clear that we were not seeing the same problem. Overall I’d say save your money and/or try some place else. I’m so sad and disappointed by my experience here. I grew out my hair for a year before trying this place and now feel like I have to start all over again. For a place that markets itself as catering to curly hair they really missed the mark, lots of prompting to fix an error for a place that claims to specialize in curly hair.

Christina M I got a curly cut at The Curly Lounge at the beginning of the summer. It was such a great experience while I was there, and my curls looked really pretty once she was done styling it. My hair stylist was also very friendly. The reason for my low review is that some strands of hair are longer than others throughout my hair. And the regrowth of my hair has been the worst ever. The stylist explained each of the products she used in my hair and said she would follow up with a list of the products. I never received any follow up though. I’ve received better hair cuts that weren’t specialized in curly hair, so I was expecting more from this salon specifically. Maybe I didn’t communicate what I wanted well enough, but I wouldn’t get a cut here again.

Mike and Beth Hendrick I love Byuti. Ive been seeing Kelli for years for facials, and she is just such a spot of joy all the time. My skin glows for days after visits with her. I also recently started seeing Justine for my hair and I am so happy with that decision. Ive been mulling a french bob for a while but was never quite ready to take the plunge. We did it this week and it looks awesome! I genuinely feel like the ladies at Byuti listen to their clients. Recommended!

Moira OBrien Such a great salon!! Greeted warmly and had the best shampoo and haircut by Laureen. She is a wonderful stylist!

Alison M C 2nd visit: Shady business practices. I made an appointment for partial highlights and a haircut. Their website lists that for $130 (see screenshot). By phone, a receptionist quoted me $150-180, saying the online rate is for new stylists and the experienced person taking my appointment would be more expensive. Okay. I went to my appointment and was worked in with another customer. I knew this was possible, just pointing out it was not individual service. Went to the desk after and was told my service would be $250. I immediately spoke up saying I was quoted maximum $180. I asked for a breakdown and didnt get one, but she agreed that my max quote is fair. Looking at their website again, the service is not listed as $130++ or "depending on stylist"...but simply $130 even. No range. So my charge was inflated first by the receptionist and then again by the stylist--two different people. The more I think about it, the more I feel cheated. I cant return or recommend a place that has questionable business practices like this. Im upset bc my first visit was problem free and I know this review may negatively affect honest people that work here, but customers deserve to be warned. Look at their website before you go--and insist they be fair and follow their listed prices. 1st visit: Got my bangs trimmed today with Desi. She took an old photo I had, perfectly described the bangs I get (wispy, textured, not too heavy, just above the eyebrows) and cut them exactly how I like. She started slowly to check my approval on the length. Then she finished up with extra detail work to blend my new trimmed bangs into my current shaggy haircut. She was also sweet and chatty in the best way. Ill definitely book her for my haircut next time. The salon was clean, relaxing, and bright with chill motown music.

jamilia tyler I had a few issues that I brought up to Kenie and she asked me to contact her to fix it. She apologized for the incidents and made it right the same day. I appreciate her business practices.

Gabschi fitness Its very discouraging that I had to write this however if youre looking for a great service the most youll get from this place is selective service. I made an appointment at this place for 11:00 I made it on time however Kenie was thirty minutes late. I wanted to simply dye some greys in my hair and when she got to the location I told her please dont use any ammonia on my hair. She told me she wouldnt be using any ammonia in my hair and started to rush and put a bunch of product in my hair while talking on the phone and rushing repeating that she had a 12:00 appt. By the time she was done I had a bunch of the product soaked into the outline of my hair and dripping on the side of my face she told me that it would wash off as soon as I got home. The product she used in my hair damaged it and removed patches of skin on my face and the outline of my forehead while I was trying to wash it off. She clearly lied because products that are ammonia free wouldnt do that. My conclusion was to bald my head because of Kenies inability to pay attention to detail and incompetent for trying to make a fast buck funny she charged me 40 and I tipped her after she got the money she hurried me out her store. Never again.

YoungOne Jen Ms. Kenie and her staff are top notch braiders. They have been braiding my hair on and off for the past 7 years, and I have never been disappointed. Whenever I’m out, I’m often asked about my braider. The braiders are super fast, courteous, and my braids have always come out extremely neat. The salon is clean and very welcoming. The most important thing…Ms. Kenie cares about the health of her client’s hair. My edges have remained intact and I’ve never experienced any hair loss after taking my hair down. You will not be disappointed by coming to this salon.

zara bupara i got my hair dyed there in early may, it’s almost july and my hairs still bleeding. i didn’t get what i asked for at all i showed multiple all over color photos and got chunky bright blue highlights in my black hair instead of the all over blue. it’s bled everywhere all over my clothes and walls and bedding. my skin is almost permanently blue/green as well. when i went in to get it fixed she still charged me to fix the roots which were extremely bright blue highlighted and made me feel hideous. they also said it was normal for it to bleed and maybe it was at first since i went in a couple days after but bleeding for months is not and i know that for a fact bc ive been coloring my own hair for over 8 years now. its just really frustrating that i went to get my hair done for the first time at an actual salon as a treat and it’s just resulted in months of aftercare and money. i attached my reference photos shown and then how my hair looked after. the picture of my neck and hands are from early mid june so well over a month since i got it done

Jen Haynes I have gone to the salon three times the first time I got extensions for the first time I feel like she overcharged me for the pieces that I got my hair is very thin looking I spent $1300 and only got six pieces of extension she brought a bundle out and I noticed when she was done putting the extensions in there was still a whole half a bundle left that she brought out for me I noticed she didn’t use all of it then I went back and told her for the second time that I think my hair is too thin looking I want it to be full looking can she add more extensions she said she doesn’t think I need any more I went in to get a touchup for my extensions and a color touchup on my hair roots she charged me $1200 when it was supposed to be $305.00. I called Kayla and I told her about the quadruple charges and all she said was she undercharged you it was supposed to be $405.00 I said well she charged me 1200 then she said there are no tickets that were printed? Well I see my bank statement and it shows 305.00 2 times and $405.00 plus 95.00 besides the error if the hair was done correctly the amount is no issue it’s the lack of in in inhumanity I was given. don’t do people ways that you don’t want to be done to you.

Rebecca Parnianchi This is my second time at this location. I see Kayla regularly because I have short hair and it requires constant maintenance. This salon sells hair products in a little boutique at the front -saves time from having to go somewhere else. They also offer complimentary refreshments which is nice.

Cynthia Anne RATTO I shave been getting my hair done professionally since 1990 and the highlights I received today from Sil Barron were the absolute BEST!! The color is so beautiful and natural looking. Sil really took her time to perfect my hair. She is very patient and detailed with her work. She is very sweet as well. She is calming to be around and I really enjoyed having her work on my hair. Her work is great and her personality is as well. I am so happy to have found her. So happy with my new hair too!!!! And I was shocked how affordable it was too!! I highly recommend Red Salon and Sil Barron.

sarah mayorga I love this place! I had my extensions done by Nicole she was so wonderful she hurd i had an emergency and took me on! she did a wonderful job had really good conversations I would recommend her any day!..

Alyssa Ruby O. I am a repeat client at Moski, and just got my hair done again by Monique. Im in LOVE with it! Everytime, from the cuts, to the color, and the Brazilian Blowouts, she works her magic and I always leave the salon feeling more beautiful. Monique is absolutely lovely and makes you feel really comfortable in her salon. I will always come back to Monique for all of my hair needs and definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to show some love to their hair.

M C M I love my hair!!!! Monique is a badass hairstylist!! She has a terrific personality, most friendly team, and I have had had my hair done by her for years and does not disappoint. I drive 1 hour because she’s worth it!!

Cheryl Siler Saw Stephen!!!! He was amazing! Got my cut exactly how I wanted it. Showed him a picture of what I wanted that no other stylist Ive seen could manage to figure out! Michael got it perfect! Hes pleasant, gentle and a true artist! Ill be a repeat customer of his!

kim gray Advertisement is false. Walk-ins welcome the only reason I checked the place out(spur of the moment). One hour to 5 is how they charge what they charge. I had dealings with a young man who has been cutting hair for 10 years.( He knows it all) Therefore, he was great at managing the app & making sure he keeps the client in the chair, talking so they think they got their moneys worth. I watched 3 different people with less than an inch of hair on their heads buy into an hour ( or maybe more) in the chair. Services offered ( for pay) needs more of a wanting to please or provide. One should put the phone down, quit bustling & listen to the client and provide, to the best of their ability. Tips would be better & it may do something for their soul. I was trying to help this guy help me. Instead showed his true self by having a little tissy and ran off to the back. I almost called him out. I was giggling on my way out.

Aunnamarie Martinez I WAS CHARGED $760 FOR A BLEACHING THAT EVENTUALLY TURNED MY HAIR GREEN! The owner Monique told me during the consultation that of course my desired hair color of red could not be done in one sitting (I whole heartedly understood that). AFTER HOURS OF BLEACHING SHE REALIZED THAT THERE WAS A STRANGE GREEN TONE IN MY HAIR AND OUT OF NOWHERE MENTIONED THAT SHE PUT SOME ASH TONES. We never spoke about ash tones? I didn’t understand what that meant until I noticed the next day more prominent gray/ green hair. I tried to call and ask for a measly 20% refund and was told that that wasn’t in her policy. When communicating how upset I was that I paid such an absurd price for green hair she replied with how upset she was to have spent 5 hours with me; to which my reply, “I paid $150 an hour and the client who recommended me (had the same cut and bleaching done) only paid $360.” She said she doesn’t care what her clients say because I was also paying for her expertise and education (an expertise consisting of ignorance to hair color chemistry). Monique continued to justify that she told me not to expect the color I asked for this session but I never would have expected to be leaving with gray/ green hair. She offered a free shampooing and I laughed thinking why would I let this girl touch my hair again? I feel the pictures speak for themselves. My saving grace is Mosaic Hair Salon who offered to help me fix my hair for a guaranteed $300 and 20% for making a switch. Their policies are straight forward and customer service is years beyond Moski. If you don’t want to be robbed out your money-I implore you to look elsewhere.

Monique Vasquez Arrived as soon as they opened at 10:30am. I ask the lady if she could do a hair cut. She said yes and proceed to do my hair. Its came out so lovely and nice. She was so sweet and informative about hair and curling technique to try at home.

chloe carrillo This is my first time in this place and I really love it here. They do great color and eyebrows. Me and my friend like the finish product of our hair. The place is also clean and very pleasing to the eyes because of the plants! The staff are very friendly too and provide you snack. Recommend this place a 100% just be detailed on what you want!

Mike Bradbury My daughter had her hair cut here, which is long, thick and curly. The job was rushed, between 15 and 20 minutes, and the hair dresser cut her hair dry, a real problem. The cut is uneven, way too short in the front, and resulted in frizzy ends. Part of the problem was understanding what was asked for (dont just cut 8 inches off the front without asking if thats what she meant), which I think is the result of the rushed job; my daughters haircuts usually take 40 minutes to an hour. It was cheap, though.

Melot Skee Tony is the guy behind Dream Hair Salon. He is my hair colorist and he never lets me down. I only wanted him to do the retouch but it ended out a total new look. He does not ask too much. He is absolutely recommendable!!

Rainie Duan Worst Stright Perm I have done ever！It didnt worse the price. My reasons listed as follows: 1. My scalp burned after the Perm, which was hurt. And I found several large pice of dandruff comes out, which I hadn’t experienced before. My skin was dry and I didn’t have dandruff issue. 2. After the perm, my hair was not straight at all, and because of this, I doubt the ‘ 20 years experience’ that the barber claimed. 3. After the Perm, about 2 inches hair was cut. But still a lot of splits (which was not this serious before the perm). Some end part of my hair was scorched and became Z shaped.

Bebe Hawj DO NOT GO THE LADY! Terrible haircut. You asked for one thing and she gives u something else. She’ll just keep cutting your hair away! Not sure if it’s a language barrier or need more training!
