Sabrina Simeroth Erin was amazing! I booked a last minute appointment and had no idea what I wanted other than to lighten my hair subtly and get a trim. I have very thick, long hair that is textured and has a lot of wave. Erin was so patient with me, gave me some incredible advice, listened to what I didn’t want and helped me find exactly what I wanted, then she masterfully transformed my hair. She did an amazing job and Ava was such a huge help. I will be coming back! This is the dream team!

Tayler Mazurski I walked in to make an appointment but was delighted they had a stylist available immediately! I am so happy to have pounced on the opportunity. I was seated with Erin and wanted to fix color grow out and refresh with a cut. Erin was awesome! She was sure to ask about all aspects of my hair, precious care, general maintenance. She nailed the cut perfectly and did so within my wishes of length while addressing my concerns. I was extremely happy with how the tone over my platinum looked and left the salon feeling like a million bucks. I can’t recall the wonderful assistants names (so sorry) who helped blow dry my hair and shampooed my hair but every staff member i interacted with was simply sweet and kind. I enjoyed the energy of the salon but more importantly the pricing was right! I appreciated the immediate disclosure of explaining the leveling and pricing systems, allowing me to choose my budget commensurate to the stylist/level/experience. As a PB local, the pricing is wonderfully affordable for the high quality service. I’ll be back to visit Erin for touch ups. Jenn Chan I had my hair washed, deep conditioned, and cut/styled by Bebes yesterday. It was the most comfortable experience I’ve EVER had. I have a sensitive scalp and usually have to ask anyone cutting my hair to be extra gentle - this wasn’t an issue at all with Bebes. She gave the best hair wash and scalp massage, I almost fell asleep. She also provided advice on hair styling and maintenance. I love the way my hair looks today. I would 100% book with her again and recommend her to anyone.

Miko Del Rosario I highly recommend bellibelli salon! Lina and her associate did an amazing job with my hair even though I did a box dye before it turns out the way that I wanted it was perfect! my hair did not get damaged and still stay soft and healthy. I’m a first time client, will definitely come back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ashritha Kashyap Seng is very professional. I went in for haircut and got a good one. She knows to worry with curly hair very well. She knew she had to cut longer for curly hair, cause they spring up and become shorter after. Got a blowdry as well!

Rachel Eley Wow. Charity was absolutely incredible. Everything you want in a stylist she is that AND MORE! I was initially so anxious to sit in the salon chair today but she eased me right into it and made it a safe place for me and my hair! Cannot wait to go back and sit in her chair. 10/10 experience ♥️

Danielle S I wouldn’t recommend for any kind of styles involving heat… there is burns all over my head. I got a silk press and its was my first one but I’ve had my hair pressed before. Always carefullly, because it’s a sensitive thing to be doing but this man kept burning my head and it only got worse . Eventually I just stopped reacting to the burns because it didn’t stop. I just wanted him to be done and get out of there. Maybe he just didn’t care enough… also talkin on the phone while holding a flat iron and or pressing comb is unprofessional in my opinion and I typically wouldnt care if he didn’t light up my scalp :( .

Christina D.M. I didnt enjoy Staceys haircut, lack of professionalism, nor the vague pricing. I did enjoy the people at the people at the salon (the other stylists and customers), and the general neighborhood hangout feel. Perhaps I would have had a better experience with a different stylist. Somehow Stacey doesnt have some of the basic equipment you would expect in a hair salon/barber shop. So he had to freestyle, but his work wasnt good, so then he slathered wax in my hair (which I so didnt want) to force a shape. This is all after i showed him a picture of how it should look. Dont let him tell you he can cut curly hair, he cant. Be ware, the salon doesnt look anything like how it does in these pictures either. Its seen better days. Id recommend being very specific with Stacey if you have him work on you, but be careful that he might not be listening.

Kylie Hastings Uyen was amazing!!! I am obsessed with my hair! She worked so hard on my hair and took her time with the layers. I was nervous to go lighter and Uyen made me feel so much better about it and copied my reference photo beautifully. She did my money pieces perfectly, something I’ve never done before and will be coming back to get done again! Uygen made the hair coloring fly by with her amazing hospitality and conversation. I will definitely be coming back! You’re missing out if you don’t come get your highlights by Uygen.

ilona antonyan Uyen is the best in town for extensions! Before I was referred to her by one of her clients, I had hair extensions done elsewhere and they hurt my head. I had to take them off. I was hesitant to do them for years and then I came to and she is amazing. I’ve been with her now for over a year. Uyen is a true professional, super sweet, personable, and funny. I enjoy every visit with her and look forward to it. Highly recommended for extensions!

Lauren Werner I have been going to Theory for 5 years and Uyen does an amazing job! I love how close it is to where I live in Little Italy. Uyen is amazingly professional and knows her stuff. I always walk out with fabulous color and feeling confident. If you are looking for hair color or extensions Theory is the place to go!

Erin Collins Uyen and the whole Theory team have been fantastic. I have been going to them for about 2 years since I moved to SD. She is super flexible with my hectic schedule and I really appreciate that. She has also worked with me to revitalize my damaged curls!!! I highly recommend checking them out :)

Cheryl PR For curly cuts, see Marina! I just had my wavy/curly hair cut and highlighted by Marina and Im so glad I did. She really takes her time and makes sure you understand what shes doing. I always learn something new about styling my hair from her. The salon is open and friendly. Parking is street, so remember to bring a little extra for that. I had no trouble finding a spot.

Cheyenne Banks A little surprising that a salon with such great reviews has such poor communication and tracking for their business. Supposedly, it is not the correct action to book an appointment online. Because when you do they will tell you when you walk in that you should not have done that and good luck. They have a perfectly open booking portal online and when I asked what would be a better method to schedule, since their online portal is not the way you should do it, A very nice woman had zero answer. Theres many ways to track appointments for your business however I think this is a skill that is shockingly lacking in a centrally located hair salon in downtown San Diego.

Daysi Solorzano I booked online and there was all day availability but when I got there the woman told me that I shouldn’t have booked online without calling even though there was no instruction online to do so. Why is there an online booking service then? She told me she already had an appointment that time and that she was just going to cancel mine and she wasn’t even nice about it. Very disappointing.

Dalia San Miguel I’ve waited a whole month before writing this review. Do NOT allow them to cut your hair. I went in for a long layered cut with a thin out. The stylist ended up leaving my hair uneven and took more hair on one side versus the other. The cut looks okay when they style it but as soon as you go home and wash it you will see the flawed cut just as I did. I reached out and was very clear that I did not want to cut my hair any further but would prefer a refund simply for the cut. I wasn’t even asking for my money back for the style. Management said they would get back to me and they ignored all my attempts to get a response and till this day, the company has not made an effort to reach out and make things right. So disappointed. You would think that they would at least have the decency to respond.

Patty Jaramillo went in for a trim and gloss kind of last minute and was so happy I got booked with Joey! It was my second time going to the salon but first time meeting Joey and he was the sweetest and really took his time explaining the process of what was going on and was just very attentive to what I was looking for and he was exactly what I had been looking for in a hair stylist! I hate when stylists are just overly quiet and don’t care to explain what they’re doing, so I am very pleased to have met Joey! He’s definitely going to be my go-to from now on! Also Annie did a great job in giving me a blowout!

Gelsey Thomas I cannot recommend Monika highly enough for hair services! She possesses a true talent and gift for everything hair styling. It took me quite some time to find a hairstylist I could trust, but I finally found someone who can bring my vision to life. Monika has transformed my hair, giving it so much more dimension and vibrancy, while ensuring the coloring looks natural and effortless. She also did an incredible job prepping my hair for my wedding day, including perfectly matching me for hair extensions. Thanks to Monika, I have so much more confidence in my hair, and I’m excited for all our future sessions. Her expertise, attention to detail, positive and kind demeanor and warm approach made every appointment a great experience!

Vanessa Garcia Beyond happy with my haircut from Jaye. She is also AMAZING at bayalage, but I have been taking a break since having a baby. I appreciate her patience and ability to listen. She takes the time to review what I want to ensure I am happy with my hair. I can say that 100% of the time I leave the salon with exactly what I wanted. My hair feels healthy while keeping the length I wanted and I feel confident. I also purchased some products that she recommended and so far Im loving all of them. Thanks Jaye!!

Teagan Serna I have never left a bad review on a business but Im really disappointed in my experience with Rinse salon. Photos on their social media looked great, and since I wanted a pretty simple cut and color I didn’t select a preferred stylist when I booked online, but did put a note that I wanted a Senior Stylist. I have medium brunette hair that is 100% virgin, and I wanted to dye it much darker, borderline black with cool tones. I was very clear about what I wanted, brought in photos and everything. I also had cut my own layers previously that, no surprise, ended up not being even so I wanted the stylist to fix these as well. I stated that I did not want super blended butterfly cut layers, but clearly defined layers with fringe and again showed photos. I also said she could cut as much as she needed in order to fix the layers. The stylist barely trimmed my layers without reshaping them at all. I asked her to add a shorter layer and she said it wouldn’t look good and so she didn’t. She never showed me the cut from the back, which I didn’t even realize until I got home and had someone take photo of it for me where I saw how uneven the layers still were. They honestly look horrible, really uneven, a blended mess and super heavy in one area. The attached photo is my hair immediately after my appointment. When I saw the color in different light than at the salon, it still looked really warm and not dark enough. It’s clearly not even close to black and has a lot of warmth still. When I went back to the Rinse site to find the email to ask to have my hair touched up, as is there policy if you are unhappy with it, I saw that the stylist I had was the least experienced stylist in the salon, only ranked “stylist” even though I requested a senior stylist, 3 or 4 ranks above that. This makes sense since she struggled to style the sort-of fringe she cut and actually just gave up on trying at one point. I was really upset when I saw that, and sent an email asking if the owner would consider fixing my hair since I wasn’t given the level stylist I asked for, and didn’t feel comfortable having her cut my hair again. I also didn’t want to request a different senior stylist to redo my hair without getting fully paid, obviously. I emailed twice, tried calling, and almost two weeks later no one from Rinse salon has gotten back to me. Really unprofessional. I’m fed up with the lack of care they gave to a new client. I won’t be going back and would advise others to try a different salon.
