Yin Li Wong Great view of Melbourne. Only a short 5-10 minute walk from the car park. Make sure you google map it to Burkes Lookout Carpark. If you google map it to this spot, it will bring you through a weird no through road

Zafar Faisal 5 minutes walk from the car park area, if you search in the g map, you will find it. The lookout is really awesome! Make sure you put extra layer of clothes during this season! It’s very windy and chilling! Good spot for sunset view from the top!

Moti Cohen Absolutely incredible view. This is one of very few national parks in the Dandenong Ranges with a clear view of the landscape including the city. Very sad to hear that 18 people died in a plane crash here in the 1930’s. I was extremely lucky to get parking. There is extremely limited parking. I recommend coming very early to avoid the chance of being unable to find parking. Unfortunately, like as mentioned in some other reviews, there is a significant littering problem, every path I hiked had quite a bit of rubbish scattered over the landscape. It’s very unfortunate that tourists/visitors feel like they can dump non-biodegradable rubbish into this beautiful landscape. Maybe adequate signage could help? If you live in Melbourne or are visiting here, there is no question you should come here, it’s absolutely stunning, even though there is a littering problem as well as limited parking.

Shannan Filbey A fabulous view of Melbourne and as far as Geelong on a clear day. Easy to get to with only a short walk from the car park which is small so parking could be an issue on popular nights. Go early on these days.

Nicholas Holdgate The view is pretty good, but the lookout has room for improvement. Theres no platform, its just an open gap in the trees along a quite busy running/cycling trail. Theres not much parking available, and google maps wont direct you particularly well. Some signs would go a long way.

Muhammad Altaf Excellent place to visit. Great art work by William and very well preserved. A beautiful walk while seeing and praising his art work. They have set up to play movie / documentary about his life, his aspirations and his work. His love for nature and his passion for art is very clear in his work. Its a great place to visit and feel refreshed. If you love art and nature then this is a place to go. There is a cafe across the road and also few other places around to look.

Antriksh Deep Have you seen sanctuaries which look exactly like jungles ? Well, this is a very rarest sanctuary you’ll ever see. The handmade carvings and art displayed by Willian Ricketts has very deep meaning. I really loved the pieces and you’ll love them too. One of the perfect weekend gateway. Yes, you must carry your family along and have a worthy weekend with your loved one’s.

Ritika Kapoor I have been there twice and just love this little cosy hidden gem of Melbourne. The sculptures around the garden are beautifully crafted with so much attention to detail. There is no ticket but you can make some donation. Worth a visit guys!!

Xiu Chorng Yeoh Incredibly peaceful, but can be boring for certain people or children because there isnt much to see. There are two benches near the entrance with great panoramic view. Plenty of parking spots available and a bus stop nearby, but the bus has one to two hours frequency, so plan ahead.

Angela Bowater As with a number of Parks Vic managed parks in this area they have been neglected for 10 plus years. Understandably the grass and weeds are out of control due to weather and covid from the last few years. Lovely views and walks. No toilets. Two large decent picnic tables near carpark. An old rotting Park bench further down on the path. Often no one else there so a good place to picnic and avoid the crowds. Also close enough to walk to Sky-high if you are short on a bob. Walkers dont get charged, only cars etc

Shafagh Ghose Beautiful place with variety of different beautiful trees...not very big area though, but we had a lovely walk there with our dog.

Asha Kurup A beautiful, quiet spot with good parking. There are so many quaint spots to just sit and relax, but great for a bit of a walk too!

Michael Christensen Could be so much better. There are hardly any tree identification signs left, ivy and blackberries are encroaching and very few trails and benches, absolutely no signage about the history, species planted. A little bit of TLC would go a very long way. Nevertheless it’s great to see so many old mature trees from around the world in one place.

J M We love every visit to this place. The cafe up there is great. The prices are reasonable and the food and coffee is amazing. There are toilets outside and inside the cafe area. It is very kid friendly as there is alot to see. There is an entrance fee for the maze, and an entrance fee to enter the sky high area — from memory you need to pay per car.

Koonthos Koonthus hazy beauty, characteristic of a sunset or sunrise viewed from an elevated vantage point. In the foreground, the dark silhouettes of trees create a textured edge, their forms softened by the distance and the atmospheric perspective. Beyond the trees, a vast expanse of land stretches out, gradually fading into a soft, muted palette of grays and browns. The air seems thick with a light mist or perhaps the remnants of the days heat, obscuring the details of the landscape below and lending an ethereal quality to the view. In the far distance, a faint suggestion of a city skyline emerges from the haze. The buildings appear as delicate, almost dreamlike shapes on the horizon, their presence a subtle reminder of human activity amidst the grandeur of nature. The sky above is a gradient of soft, warm tones. To the right, the light is more intense, hinting at the suns recent presence or imminent arrival, casting a gentle golden glow. This light gradually softens towards the left, blending into pale blues and creams, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The overall impression is one of peacefulness and quiet contemplation. The hazy distance softens the harshness of the world, inviting the viewer to appreciate the subtle beauty of the landscape and the gentle transition of light across the sky. Its a moment captured in time, where the vastness of nature meets the delicate touch of light and atmosphere.

Emily Feakes We went to SkyHigh Mount Dandenong to celebrate my birthday, expecting a lovely evening. While the view was beautiful, that was the only redeeming part of the night. Everything else—from the food to the hygiene to the customer service—was honestly appalling. Firstly, you have to pay a $10 entry fee. The restaurant is also very dated and looks unappealing as you walk in. This should have been our red flag to leave. Then, every glass we were given was visibly dirty—some had smudged food and fingerprints, and others even had someone else’s lipstick marks. That alone was unacceptable, but the food somehow managed to be worse. For entrees, we had the prawns and pork belly. The pork belly was passable, but the crackling on top tasted exactly like packaged pork crackle from a servo—stale and unpleasant. The prawns were awful: fishy, clearly not fresh, and the portion was a joke—just three tiny prawns for almost $20. The mains were even more of a disaster. My partner’s chicken came with what was allegedly “ratatouille,” though we genuinely have no idea what was on that plate. I ordered a steak, clearly asking for it to be cooked medium because I’m pregnant and cannot eat rare meat. It came out undeniably rare, and I couldn’t touch it. The portion was also laughably small—definitely not the 200g advertised—and the potato gratin it came with tasted awful. Charging $48 for that steak dish is honestly insane. The worst part? When we politely raised our concerns and didn’t eat the mains, staff still tried to charge us for them, offering only 20% off the total bill. We still paid well over $100 for a dinner we couldn’t eat, and ended up having to go somewhere else just to actually have dinner. It was beyond disappointing—it was honestly offensive. So we had to pay for two dinners because of their pitiful excuse of a restaurant. For a place positioned as a premium dining experience, this was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. We will absolutely not be returning, and I would strongly discourage others from wasting their time or money here. I honestly, from the bottom of my heart, hope they go out of business.

sue Smith "Excellent service and fantastic food! I enjoyed an entrée, a main course, and dessert — each dish was delicious. The view was also beautiful, which made the experience even more special. A truly satisfying dining experience."

SK This cafe has a lovely ambiance with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s mostly self-service—water, cutlery, salt, and pepper are all to be taken by yourself, though you do place your food order at the counter, and the staff brings it to your table. We ordered a variety of dishes, and while my friends enjoyed their meals, I was quite disappointed. I ordered the nachos, and they were a complete letdown—bland, dry, and poorly made. There was barely any sauce or beans on top, and honestly, I could make much better nachos at home for just $5. It really ruined my afternoon. Despite the cafes size and the prices they charge, they only have two toilets for women, and they were extremely dirty and smelly. Given the poor food experience and lack of basic cleanliness, I won’t be returning here again.

Robert Callard Maze was closed and expensive. More money to enter on top of the parking fees. From what you can see from the fence outside looks very basic and wouldnt be worth the money anyway.

Mark West Put a sign at the entrance if the maze is closed so people dont pay to park if they only want to go to the maze. Judging by the owners responses to other reviewers, they really dont care. I regularly take small groups of kids there but wont anymore. Plenty of other attractions in the hills.

Brandon Hill Look we enjoyed it. If you have young kids, this is quite fun. I thought the price was reasonable, and kids loved it. Adults would be happy to see kids being happy. I would recommend it.

Jay Sun Nice little maze for couples and family. Last time we were there there were four objects hidden in the maze. You can find them and use the stamps provided to stamp on the provided card for souvenirs. Quite a fun for kids. Highly recommend.

Ben ODonnell Claimed to only close during heavy rain, strong winds or bushfire conditions, but on a still, mild day, where the rain stopped 4 hours before opening time, it was shut. As were the toilets. In the middle of school holidays. And they still took money off us for parking, without mentioning that it wasn’t open. Do not bother.
