Sean Nairn This bridge carries the tram line over Montague St and is infamous for wiping out the top of numerous trucks that have missed the low clearance signs - it’s only 3 metres high so easy to catch out the unsuspecting. Otherwise not much to see. There’s a tram spot immediately adjacent to the bridge but not much else around.

Brad This is one of several historic bridges spanning the Yarra River and linking the CBD to Southern Melbourne. It opened in 1889 and is included on the Victorian Heritage Register. The bridge is used by both vehicles and pedestrians and consists of five wrought iron plate girder spans. It is a lovely bridge to see and potentially use to cross the Yarra while sightseeing along the riverside waterfront in Melbourne.

The place is on a good spot adjacent to Yarra River which is a busy area for variety of events. You will also enjoy strolling here at night time.

A H Watched the new year fireworks from the center of the bridge. Had an amazing view of the fireworks being shot from the tops of all the buildings. Street being closed off made everything feel safe and was pretty easy to get around and even to leave after it was all done. Would recommend to people as it is a little bit of a different experience than watching fireworks from a distance.

Gurjeet Jassaddh Its a must visit for anyone visiting Melbourne. I have been to Skydeck so many times and I love it every time. I love the view of Melbourne from here. I love the Edge experience, loved the balcony area. Best time to go is before sunset, so you can see the sunset from there. That’s one of my favourite things to do. The staff have always shown good customer service and are friendly.

Pixel Lebon Went in the evening, not too crowded. The view of Melbourne at night from the 88th floor was stunning. The VR experience included in the package before the ride was definitely worth it, so were the cocktails. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets available. Online booking straightforward. “Highly” recommended.

I really cant fault this as a spot, a place to look and see the river, look up, look around, to really feel what it means to be a melbournian. Is this place any better than any other place? Is it possible to really see this as a specific place in any way beyond this exact Google maps listing, and to then compare it to other non-listed places nearby without a bias stemming from the listing itself? Hard to know 5 stars cheers

sventek A spot you can chill out at thats away from the usual large crowds that walk by the Southbank Promenade. There is a bench you can sit on too if being too close to the water isnt your thing. You can watch the trams, trains and traffic walk by above you on all the bridges, and ducks and boats on the river.

Sean Nairn Not so much a lookout as a path that runs below the level of the main Yarra Promenade and is right next to the river. It is generally quieter as the crowds tend to stay up top so you will find some solitude here. Plenty of food and drink options nearby and lots of transport available.

Pravin Charles Vaz Fantastic outing for a Sunday.. plenty of seats available if you show up.. did the Docklands 1hr cruise and the commentary (recorded) gave a good insight of the history of the city. Would have liked a bit more room in the open area as there is very little seating .. but good for a family who want to get a different view from the river.

Ken Garson First we had a beautiful night with extraordinary weather as we cruised down the Yarra River. This dinner cruise exceeded my expectations. The seafood appetizer was very good, the lamb shank delicious and the dessert and cheeses that followed were a nice finishing touch. In addition to the relaxed atmosphere of this cruise, I found the staff very attentive to everyone’s needs and they worked very diligently to make everyone’s night memorable.

Swell Traveller In 1980 this colourful sculpture was revealed in the City Square of Melbourne. Its official name is the Vault but it is also known as the Yellow Peril. The artist that created it was Ron Robertson-Swann. Made of metal, painted yellow and representing dynamic movement, this abstract sculpture, created quite a divided opinion from Melburnians. It has been graffitied, a shelter for the homeless, photographed by many for its sweet lines and an inspiration for artists. It was then moved to Batman Park and again recently near the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. Perhaps this piece of art was ahead of its time, and there would be no issue placing it back in the city again, especially near Federation Square, in the National Gallery or along the Yara River. It is, after all, a piece of art. It is a structure people pass daily and worth having a look. You can decide - love it or not?

Ben Creighton I finally got a chance to look at this thing in person today, and it is WAY bigger than it looks from in a car. It could double as a bus shelter! Vault has an interesting story, as you would be able to tell from the other reviews here. I think it was ahead of its time, and it fits in well with the modem architecture.
