The Best 8 Hair Salons in Quincy, Plumas

Jake and Shannon McCarty Last weekend I was traveling from out of town for a wedding. We made a stop for the night in Quincy. I went into Cherises Salon and Apothecary. I had the best experience and had to share. I had forgotten to bring my favorite shampoo with me and was super bummed about it. I have a really sensitive scalp and new wash is the only shampoo that doesnt irritate my scalp but still leaves my hair looking great. I was so happy to be able to get some at Cherises salon and not be with out it my whole trip. Cherise is great and was even kind enough to answer some questions I had about a friend who is having hair problems due to a health issue. I was blown away by how helpful, and kind Cherise was to me, and how lovely and intentional her space is. Highly recommend a stop in. Cherise and her Salon are a true Gem! I will absolutely be stopping in next time I am traveling through.

Alex Davi Cherise is an artist. She takes her craft seriously and will create whatever you are looking for. She has shaped my haircut so the hair falls exactly as I want it and more. go to Cherise. She will make it happen. Her hed spa rituals are fantastic.

diane bowman I finally had my hair appointment with Cherise (delays were caused by winter weather!) I loved every part of my appointment. Cherise talked with me about my hair and really took some time to see what my hair was like before it was wet! The scalp treatment/massage felt so good and the reclining chair was super comfortable. I am very happy with my cut and looking forward to using a couple blow dry tips she shared.

The apothecary has so much to offer, I wanted it all. The decor is just gorgeous. All products are carefully researched and saw out by Cherise. When it comes to sitting in the salon chair - you won’t want to leave. The wash is incredibly with a head massage. Then she takes time to study your face/bone structure and hair. Once she gets that down she then starts in on her Magic. The cut is top notch. Our little town is so fortunate to have this high-end salon. If you haven’t stepped into this salon and apothecary you owe yourself a visit!

Catherine Bruce Body & Soul Salon and Boutique is an amazing salon with employees who treat customers with respect, and offer many services. I have been consistently going to this special place for almost three years and have never received such exceptional service at other salons. Thanks so much to Michelle, who has gone out of her way to ensure a customer is satisfied with the results! She goes above and beyond to make sure her client is happy.

Lisa Im sharing my experience because it’s not just hair or tanning beds and nails that are wonderful. Karen has clothes, purses, soaps and so much more. But I’m actually writing because my kids LOVE her bath fizzies. They got such a kick out of it. One child thought,” this is the coolest thing ever.” I’ve purchased bath markers and other bath items that never received the same response at other places. So, thank you Karen for not only bringing me joy when I get my hair done but also my children. Your shop has something for everyone.

Stacie LaMattina Michelle was amazing! She completely fixed my years of bad self dye jobs so easily! I even got complimented on my color from the first lady who saw me after Michelle had prettied me all up. She even worked with me and my busy schedule. She made me feel so comfortable! I have found my new stylist! I hadnt been to this salon for years after having the worst haircut by any salon. The lady no longer works there, and so I thought Id give their salon another try. Im so glad I did!! Everyone was very friendly and the music and atmosphere was comfortable even for people with anxiety like me. Thank you Michelle! You made me feel so pretty!

Not sure if they’re not taking new clients or really anything because they don’t follow up. I have since found a salon that communicates with me and the owner is professional.

Kelly Pallansch I had long hair past my shoulders. Left it up to Amy what she wanted to do. Everybody loves my new look.

Holly Higgins I was visiting from out of town and made an appointment for “just a trim”. Spoke to the stylist and we agreed that a couple inches at most needed to come off the length. My hair was mid-back length with long layers that started at my shoulders. When I left my hair was two distinct lengths, one above the shoulders around my face with an abrupt stop behind that and was in short choppy “layers” that didn’t blend at all and looked like either a toddler with scissors or a weed-whacked was turned loose. I wish there was a way to post a photo. It is epic. Looks like the world’s longest and most hideous mullet. Unreal. I lost a total of 8” and will probably lose another 2-3” getting this mess fixed by someone who knows what they are doing. That woman basically cut off the dry ends from the bottom layer and made them as short as the dry ends above my shoulders. It will take me at least two years to grow back. I can’t even get it in a braid and the hack job is even visible in a ponytail. I have been crying since I left. Devastated. I won’t even walk by the place again.
