Shai N We had a small picnic in this park yesterday. It was very beautiful and relaxing time visiting this place. We ate on the bench first and later on laid out the picnic mat to rest up. I did take opportunity to take pictures near the small pond. You can bring your family and pup, friends or your special one to just chill and soak up vitamin D

Nara Lee Beautiful, lush gardens with a gorgeous water feature. Nice to stop by and enjoy the lovely location — there are also benches and a BBQ here as well. Would be a perfect place for a picnic!
5 /5
Jason Tabrett It’s a very nice relaxing park to go to on my lunch break and hear the sound of running water, different grass, flowers and trees across the park, benches, shade, a barbecue and children’s playground. It’s next to a tram stop and to some houses, but my main reason it only gets 3 stars from me is that it has no bathroom facilities. It really makes it difficult to enjoy the park for longer than 2 hours without restrooms here or nearby.

The Melbie Smaller suburban garden on Camberwell Rd fairly close to Hartwell station. Has a small playground with a pretty shallow pond with mini "falls" & good floral displays at this time of year. For a longer walk - it is not far Ferndale/Anniversary trail. Check Google Maps.

Claire Osborne Beautiful huge shady trees set amongst week maintained flowers and open grass areas, good (small) path for toddler bike riding and scootering and playground with slides, swings and a whizzy dizzy this is a good place for kids and quick picnics. No toilets though. Despite the park being on a busy corner (in non-covid times) the space still feels pretty calm, quiet and protected.

Both ovals are frequently used for sport. The outdoor gym in the north east corner of top oval is popular. The playground is popular and has some shade covers.

Joseph Lioner Riversdale Park is an amazing destination for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day out. This park is a true gem in the heart of the city, with something to offer for everyone. From its beautiful walking trails and lush greenery to its impressive playground and picnic areas, Riversdale Park has it all. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasure to spend time here. The walking trails are well-marked and easy to navigate, and the views are simply stunning. Youll feel like youve been transported to a peaceful oasis, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the standout features of Riversdale Park is its playground. Its one of the best Ive seen, with plenty of equipment to keep kids of all ages entertained. There are swings, slides, climbing structures, and more. The playground is also surrounded by picnic tables and benches, making it the perfect spot for a family outing. Overall, I cant recommend Riversdale Park enough. Whether youre looking for a peaceful retreat in nature or a fun-filled day with the family, this park has it all. Its definitely one of the best parks in the area, and Ill be coming back again and again.

Graeme Dunlop Quite a nice park with good facilities including BBQ area, toilets, playground for kids, lovely leafy trees for shade. Theres also the East Camberwell Tennis Club. In the afternoons, its a bit of a hang out for high school kids as the park backs on to Camberwell High
5 /5
Summerannie Moon A really lovely park to visit or have a picnic on the grass. Theres a BBQ as well as a lovely childrens playground plus toilets and parking on Riversdale Rd or Spencers Rd. Our group of friends sat under one huge tree canopy. The trees are stunning and park well managed. A delight for everyone.
5 /5
Angus Dunn Used to be a lovely wide park with great old trees and a nice playground. Now its covered in concrete paths and roads with a new car park being installed for the tennis club. The playground has been done up (increased safety) but theyve taken out all the good play equipment. Used to be able to take your kids there and let them run around. Now however, there are too many roads to let them play unsupervised.

6.Camberwell Sunday Market

Imges Camberwell Sunday Market

(2012) Reviews Camberwell Sunday Market:

bobyohya A charming Sunday market full of surprises! This vibrant outdoor market is a great way to spend your weekend. You’ll find more than just secondhand clothes — there are flower bouquets, potted plants, and even cozy coffee trucks serving up great brews. Right next door is another indoor market, and the surrounding area is dotted with cafés, making it a lovely spot to hang out and explore. Many vendors offer clothing at clearance prices, and you can pay by card or cash. Just keep in mind: it closes quite early — around 11:30 AM, they begin making closing announcements and stalls start packing up. Tip: Arrive early to enjoy the full experience and to secure a parking spot — it gets busy quickly! Highly recommend for anyone who loves vintage finds and local vibes.
5 /5
Rob the Nomad Delightful trash & treasure market that can have some surprising items for sale. The earlier you can make it the better the chance at getting that treasured item you like. So many designer clothes going for cents in a dollar, antiques, shoes, ceramics, houseware, plants, flowers, vinyl records, paintings. Follow people like me as we make the effort to show amazing places around for others to evaluate
5 /5
Jack M My wife loves it here and my dog loves saying hello to everyone. It is slowly being inundated with Chinese imports being passed off as craft work but still a good place for second hand clothes and antiques.
4 /5
Ramon M If you love vintage stuff, this place is for you. Recommend bring cash to shop here. Seller is so nice. Also you can negotiate the price as well.
5 /5

Nara Lee Great, well-maintained park with a walking/cycling trail (Anniversary Trail) which makes for a decent but short exercise. Next to the train line so expect to see trains rushing by. There’s also a cricket oval, playground, bathroom and parking here.
5 /5

Maleela Jullyan Its a good park and you can usually meet other dog owners there during the day and around 5pm theres a good community of dogs but if its rained within the last few days beware your dog will end up covered in mud! COVERED!
3 /5
Emily N Very open and great to have your dogs run around. Wish there were official dog meet ups as when you go and there arent any there its not as fun.
3 /5
Rick Wright We visit around twilight at the same time as a number of Dog Owners - nice place to socialize ones dog. The ground does get a little muddy after rain in winter.
4 /5
Donald McLean Sadly Boroondara Council has dropped the ball in maintaining the Park in recent times. The Central area of the park is cut by Council, but the perimeter cutting etc is contracted out and maintenance is very haphazard. At the moment it is very long not having been for a couple of months.

SEAL WANG Quiet & peace, good for walking.

9.Camberwell Scouts for 1-12 years

Address: 12 Judd St, Camberwell VIC 3124

(1) Reviews Camberwell Scouts for 1-12 years:

Haywood Cheng I recently had the opportunity to enroll my child in Camberwell Scouts, and I must say it has been a fantastic experience overall. Here are some key aspects that make Camberwell Scouts deserving of a solid 4-star rating: **1. Diverse Programs:** One of the standout features of Camberwell Scouts is the wide range of programs they offer for kids of different ages. Whether your child is 1 or 12 years old, theres something tailored just for them. This inclusivity ensures that every child can find their place and flourish within the scouting community. **2. Skill Development:** Camberwell Scouts places a strong emphasis on skill development. From basic survival skills to leadership and teamwork, my child has gained a wealth of practical knowledge. These skills go beyond scouting and will undoubtedly benefit them in various aspects of life. **3. Dedicated Leaders:** The leaders and volunteers at Camberwell Scouts deserve a special mention. Their commitment to the well-being and growth of the children is evident in everything they do. They are not just supervisors; they are mentors who lead by example, instilling important values in the scouts. **4. Community Engagement:** I appreciate how Camberwell Scouts actively engages with the community. Through various service projects and events, my child has learned the importance of giving back and being responsible citizens. These experiences have broadened their perspective and sense of empathy. Now, why not a 5-star rating? While Camberwell Scouts is excellent, theres always room for improvement. Sometimes, communication regarding upcoming events and meetings could be more streamlined. Additionally, it would be great to see even more opportunities for parent involvement and feedback.
