pricella Cervantes They did a great job the first time I came to this place for a pedicure. I came back for another pedicure and a full set yesterday and the nail technician could not get the right shape, the design was crooked and she kept hurting me with the tool she used to shape my nails. Before she even got started, I showed her a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like and she said she could do it. After being in the salon for three hours, I was still unhappy with the work she had done so I asked for a $20 discount because I have to go get these nails fixed somewhere else. I spoke with the manager over the phone to see if they could fix my nails free of charge but she said I had to pay $55 and they can get the nails done the way I wanted. What a waste of money and time. Never again!

Abril Victoria im litterally getting a pedicure right now no color. $21 pedicure. the tub had a plastic wrap and had clean tools. the massage chairs are great and the timed massage that she gave me was amazing. my friend in the other hand got just as great! $5 extra to remove the gel but the attention she got was just as great 2 different people and great pedicure experiences. definitely coming back.

Danielle I come here often. I prefer for Melissa to do my nails. She is very particular and does it exactly the way I like it. The salon is always clean and they are very nice. I brought my mother in law whose visiting from Virginia and she loved it!

Yolanda Castro Really glad my sister-in-law referred me here great atmosphere good colors and was a lot faster than I thought it was going to be. The pricing was perfect. So definitely two thumbs up.

Melissa smith 45$ for basic gel polish manicure. Last place I went made the almond shape uneven, she was able to fix the shape and make everything even. The only thing I wasnt thrilled with the old gel polish removal, they used the Dremel tool instead of soaking off. Happy with the outcome, would return.

Erika Carrillo Im giving this place 1 out of 5 stars (which i wish i could give a Zero bit it wont let me)because the women working there this last Saturday were completely unprofessional and extremely rude. There was a sweet young girl that went to get her "back to school" nails done and she left completely uncomfortable and saddened because the grown women working there were talking bad about the young lady and little did they know that she herself can speak Vietnamese. How dare they behave that way when people are paying good money for a professional and positive experience. Definitely recommending the people I know to get their services done elsewhere.

Thereal_RN Today I had the worst experience as a regular customer. Since I moved to Chula Vista I have been going to this nail salon for a year and 1/2 while Lisa was doing my nails I had a problem with the length based on her putting on the nails and doing the first cut I didn’t realize it would be that long. I told her after she cut it that I didn’t think it would be that long and would like a cut. She then told me to wash my hands to move in the next process and then I reminded her I needed a cut down she began to roll her eyes and catch an attitude saying why I didn’t ask for it before. I said I did and since that time until the end of my service she started to talk in her language to others, have an attitude and handle my hands roughly. At the end she ask if I was gonna add a tip and because I said no she had even more attitude. Like do your professionalism deserve a tip you should be embarrassed to ask for a tip after how u act. I am not a problematic person so I just let her finish and then leave I will not be returning to this nail salon over a small situation cause a customer to never return. my friend was also there and told me she could see a difference in how she started to treat me after stating I just need a cut down and felt she was rude. I work hard for my money and I am a paying customer I am not beginning you to do my nails. I will not be treated anyway in a business place that should be professional. This is very upsetting because I have been supporting this business from day one .

Vamos Vane The nail tech said the prices were based off length so I did them a bit short asked questions and she seemed very defensive, I didnt want her to get upset so I just sat there as she so obviously was talking about me her tone said it all, it was so uncomfortable, then when she put acrylic the nails looked good so I said please don’t file anymore they are perfect the way they are, she files them down and makes them sharp they looked bad I said that I didn’t like that, she got very upset of me saying they looked a bit sharp and she started ripping them off with her nail clipper and it was very embarrassing, I spoke to the manager who was very professional and sweet since I got there, i said I would be back but I don’t think so after the experience. Nail tech I believe is ivy

shiran levi Not professional! Rude! I was a regular customer for a whole year. I always did full service and gave good tips. Once I was debating between 2 colors which is very normal. Ivy made me feel very uncomfortable! She spoke to the girls in a foreign language, they ran jokes, then Ivy changed her face and became really rude! She made my nails ugly, thick and clumsy! Would give 0 if I could!

Samantha Pinnick Honestly this place is trash. The girl that did my nails put no effort into them she literally was watching a show and doing my nails .now I see why people pay to go to nail techs. I asked for a simple short French full set and she literally glided the nail file over each nail for like 10 seconds.i feel cheated. Not to mention they only lasted a week at 57$ plus a tip never going here again.2 thumbs down also it was around 10am so she had nothing else better to do. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracy Moreno I do not recommend this salon. The lady that did my toes didnt even know how to do any toe design except one flower. The guy that did my fill was horrible. Nails are uneven and he cut my side pinky and was very rough. While I was getting my pedicure the nail guy is trying to do my nails Im turned sideways very uncomfortable didnt even get to enjoy my massage which was 2 strokes down each leg she didnt even massage my feet. I DO NOT recommend this salon.. Waste of money!!!

Giovanna Wonderful experience. I got a non gel mani and pedi and i was pleasantly surprised. The mani lasted longer than i though and didnt chip until after 2.5 weeks! And my toes well, they still look fresh! Maria was so wonderful and provided both services for me. Shes such a kind person and super sweet. I loved the complimentary wine and overall ambience. It was so relaxing.

Ashlee Westmoreland Nail tech seemed nice at first but is very pushy and rough if you don’t take her recommendations. She cut me after immediately starting my pedicure. From there she didn’t do much of what was listed on the service sheet. She didn’t clean my cuticles at all. She cut my nails filed them and immediately began painting them. After she painted them she was very rough in scrubbing my feet and going through the motions of applying the lotion literally took her 15min to do my pedicure. I finished before a lady that had been there long before me. She wanted to do an overlay for my manicure and I didn’t want that she insisted and I said no thank you. She began to roughly trim my nails and cuticles. She painted them tried to fix one that she smudged but did a bad job. I sat and let my nails dry for 10 min as instructed. My nails smudged as soon as I got in the car. Other techs seemed nice and thorough. However this is my first and last time at otay nails

Claudia Johnson I needed my nails done badly let me just say Im used to going to just my girl but I was far away from her and I could not wait to see her. I went to Otay nails from reading a review and Im definitely NOT disappointed.. I had an appt and didnt wait too long for them to help me out.. Megan did my full set and I love them .. unfortunately I did not get the name of the young lady that did my feet but she did an amazing job I would definitely recommend this nail shop my only wish is that I lived closer to the shop.

Rafamama Did a nice job with my french pedicure, but the leg massage was nothing more than a quick lotion rub, and I was surprised that they charge extra for full gel polish service when they barely used any for only the white tips. Overall average, but decent service.

Tiana Cabading Nail tech was pushy and cut me and then didn’t even do a full manicure. No lotion or massage. Literally took her 10 mins to do my nails and I got the powder and gel. I will not recommend to friends or family. I will not be going back.

Alexis Harrell Waited over 30 minutes for a pedicure. No one informed me that it would be that long of a wait. The owner was EXTREMELY rude while giving a pedicure to another customer. She was rolling her eyes at her and was aggressively filing her toenails. She also grew angry when the lady didn’t want to buy a toe treatment. Will NEVER go back to this shop.

Valerie Duran They were extremely rude to my friend to the point that she cried. She is one of the sweetest people i know so she did not speak up about it. I have been to this salon myself and have never been satisfied. They overcharge and just provide a fast shitty service but charging as if it was more than what it is. Please do not support this business until they learn that taking care of their customers should be a priority.

ryan san nicolas Came here and had an appointment. I called in advanced to make sure they could accommodate me on my lunch break. I even left work earlier so I had time. The lady on the phone assured me an hour was enough time. I had a gift certificate as well. I come in they seat me right away. The lady was working on my nails when a man told me to go sit in the chair for my pedi. He also said someone will follow me there to finish my nails. I sat there for 15 minutes before anyone attended to me and the lady who was doing my nails started on someone else. It took over an hour for my pedi to be done. I reminded the lady doing my pedicure that I was on my lunch break and that someone needed to come and finish my nails. They start talking but no one ever acknowledges me. There were technicians sitting there on their phones or eating their lunches and it wasn’t even that busy. No one cared enough to finish the job. I ended up giving my gift card to them telling them I don’t even want change and left. Worst service an experience of my life. If I can give zero stars I would. I will never come back here again. The lady who did my nails broke my nail And they still had the nerve to charge me five dollars for them starting my nails and never even finishing. Worst business and I will tell everybody I know never to come here.

R. H. My daughter just called me literally crying over her experience today. She has arthritis and kept telling the tech she was hurting but the tech ignored her and kept pulling her hands back when she tried to pull away. She has very visible scars on her toes from surgeries and told the tech that it was tender, but she kept putting pressure directly on the scars and causing pain. Multiple techs came over to examine her feet and made her extremely uncomfortable. The icing on the cake was when she was charged for placement of HER OWN stickers!! She took her own sheet of stickers in and was charged an extra $1 for each sticker placement!! Thats ridiculous! And on top of that the tech argued and didnt even place them where my daughter asked her. She is literally embarrassed of the way her nails look. Needless to say we will never be back to this place. It is completely unacceptable to disregard a customer telling you that you are CAUSING PAIN! It is completely unacceptable to make a customer feel uncomfortable because everyone wants to examine her scars! Shame on you all! Update: Within 6 hours of getting her powder dip manicure, multiple nails had the powder chipping off. Plus the nails themselves had been filed so thin that the nails were breaking. Within 48 hours all but 2 nails had chipped and broken. She took pictures the day of the service and you could clearly see the places that were scabbing from bleeding during the manicure. She went back to the store to speak with who appears to be the owner or manager of the shop and requested a refund since she will now have to go somewhere else to have her nails repaired. She was told that it was her own fault and that she had probably picked at her nails!! Really?? So you post on here that you want your customers happy and come back to see you to fix it, but then when she comes back you proceed to shame her and argue?? I will be looking to file a report with the cosmetology board or whoever is appropriate because this type of behavior is beyond reprehensible. Im completely appalled.

Elizabeth Cortez I was happy at first, when i got seated only a chair away from my friend, but then the lady that I got was being very harsh with me. I kept trying to pull away as my hand was hurting, but the lady got irritated when I was trying to talk to her about it. Which cause me to get moved to the other side away from my friend who helps me feel better as i have social anxiety. But I wasnt mad I thought its fine I must be switching to a sweet lady who will probably more gental with me, wrong. The lady cut me 6 times and whenever there was a slight chance of me pulling away she would hold on tight and told me to stop moving, which would cause her nails to dig into me. I caught her a couple of times rolling her eyes and having other workers come over. She also told me it was going to be 80 dollars for my medium coffin nails. When I went to pay it showed 90 and she told me it was because she did better than the photo and that she was giving me a discount. She then ask me if I want to to leave a tip, I really wanted to leave and usually pay my nail techs 15 - 20 dollar tip, but since she wasnt the nice at all I put 6 dollars for tip. To which she left for a little bit then came back and let me pay. Throughout the experience she was very agressive, and the salon it self wasnt welcoming at all. There was one very sweet worker in there that asked me if I was all right while I was rinsing my hands, bless her heart because that small question is what got me through that experience. I wish the best for that worker. Im never coming back to this place as it really was a horrible experience, so please double think this place i wouldnt wish this on anyone.

Angelica Franklin I came in for a pedicure and asked for the 55 minute one which came with the massage. The appointment was not 55 minutes it was more like 35 minutes. They burn you with the wax they don’t even bother to ask if you’re ok. The thing that I liked was that they didn’t talk to me. She started to force a conversation but I answered and said nothing else to continue the conversation. Will I go back definitely not!

Valeria Bravo Garcia horrendous set of acrylics. by the time i was out of there my nails looked a week old. paint was lumpy and chunky and it seems like the paint didnt cover my nail all the way. i got one nail that was crooked af and the receptionist didnt acknowledge the things that upset me about my set. he completely dismissed everything i said. i waisted my time coming here again to get my nails fixed and they didnt want to fix them without charging me.

Paulina Ojeda I feel so bad coming on here and giving them one star, because I know this is their way of making a living. I’ve never in my life have had to ask to completely remove the acrylic application. Since the start when she was glueing on the tips, it was off. The acrylic application was horrible. She would apply it and drag it down, it was all lumpy very thin by the cuticle area, and very thick at the top, on the sides there was places where there wasnt acrylic. There were air bubbles everywhere, since the acrylic wasnt properly set, it was lifting. I kindly said to the lady that I didnt like my nails and if she can soak them off, because they were not properly applied. Of course she and another worker told me they werent done yet and to let her finish, I asked her again to please take them off and she continued her work. Took forever to drill them down and shape them due to the horrible application. Once she filed them down they still didnt look ok, and she asked if they were ok and I told her it doesn’t matter what I say because you’re still going to continue doing them. She continued to file them, trying to fix them. I appreciate her trying to fix her work but I was already embarrassed and felt completely uncomfortable, I’m pretty sure she felt the same way. I asked her again if she could please soak them off and I didnt want the service anymore because it was never done correctly in the first place. Finally she proceeded to soak them off. Another 30 minutes waisted. Another lady came and offered her manicure services to try to fix the issue, I appreciate it, but for someone to work as a nail tec and not now how to properly apply acrylic is concerning. I went there to relax and have my nails done and the whole time I felt extremely uncomfortable, by being upset and embarrassed. Now due to the soak off from acetone and all the filing my nails hurt! I was only able to record my left hand, but the right one was even worse. Please do not go here for a full set.

Ashley Riporti I rarely leave reviews but left today so shocked after receiving my bill. I was here three weeks ago for a fill with Elaine who did a great job and was friendly. I was happy with my nails and what I paid. I went back today and found out she does not work Thursdays but stayed anyway. I was charged extra for long nails (they are not long), I was also charged extra for “shaping - almond” though they were already that shape to start. Then $15 to add chrome powder which I would not have done knowing it would be such a high additional fee. I do not understand why there are so many extra fees! I had the same exact services done and somehow paid more this time. Just be weary of your tech I guess.

Sandy My vacation was ruined because of my full set of nails. Thick, terrible shape , and they rushed . In addition, I could not take photos because they cracked to my skin and caused discomfort and looked terrible . Save some time and money and go elsewhere

Astrid I was in a time crunch and went to this place to have my lifting dip powder polish removed and to have regular polish applied. I like the color of these nails, but the service was very rushed and nails are not well done. It wasnt very busy when I came in yesterday, and I asked to have the dip powder polish removed and to have regular polish. The start of the manicure went well, but it went downhill when I asked for a ballerina tip shape for my nails. The nail tech told me "no," and I was disappointed as I like that shape and had it done on short nails before. The electric filing was effective but harsh on some fingers. The soaking water was luke-warm, but nothing to fuss over too much. I picked my color, which matched the swatch to the T, and noticed as she applied it that she kept looking at the two new customers entering the salon. The painting got sloppier, and I felt rushed. The final nail on the coffin was watching the nail tech apply a gel top coat. I requested regular polish, and so I was expecting regular polish for all coats. At the end of my service the nail tech asked if I could move seats while my nails were still curing so that she could tend to a different client. I received no cuticle oil and just a "be careful" warning for my nails. As of now chipping has occurred on some nails. I did not tip, and I almost did not want to pay. Im aware that polish removal and regular polish application is simple to experienced nail techs, and so I can understand that it would be a quick session. However, the rushing, dismissal, and slapdash is what made this usual treat an unsavory experience. 09/07/24 Update: The old dip powder polish wasnt removed completely. I have a third picture showing the aftermath of removing the polish.

Emily Tyson This is my go to for my nails. They have never messed up or given me any kind of bad attitude. My nails always come out even, exact shape I want, and if I want any kind of design, it always looks great. Highly recommend coming here if you want any kind of design for your nails.

Sandra Rodriguez The place is very clean that’s why I decided to enter. I got a pedi and that was great. However, they didn’t tell me that some cream they used was an additional $10. They should say is extra. I only asked for a regular pedi nothing extra! Then I got a mani and the stylist cut my finger. It bled for a while and I didn’t even get color bc my finger wouldn’t stop bleeding n I had to leave. I will not return.

Andrea Lazo Went to this place on a whim. They did an amazing job on my nails. They were very polite and took their time doing my nails as well as my husbands manicure and pedicures. Prices werent outrageous either. We will be going back!
