Shlomo Elbahary Worst Experience of My Life I strongly urge you to stay away from this place. My experience felt like a never-ending nightmare. We went through a delivery, and those 30 hours were the hardest of my life. The nurses here were unbelievably cruel—it seemed like they took pleasure in making us suffer. I have no other explanation. Once we were moved to the postpartum unit, they refused to allow any family members or visitors to see our baby. They wouldn’t even let me stay in the room with my partner and our newborn! On top of that, they spoke to us as if we were prisoners, constantly threatening to remove us or call security. It felt like we were trapped, with no way out. They did everything possible to make us and our baby suffer, turning what should have been the most beautiful moment of our lives into an absolute nightmare. When we were finally discharged from what felt like a prison cell, the nurse turned her back on us without a word—not even a goodbye. I truly felt like a hostage. To make things worse, another nurse even asked us if we wanted to stay another day—apparently as a joke. After everything we had been through, it was beyond infuriating. This experience left me feeling mentally abused. Please, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this awful place.

Diego Padilla Don’t come here if you’re in desperate need of help. I was transported via ambulance for a heart related medical emergency on 2/24 and stayed through 2/26. From 2/25-26 I received NO TREATMENT, just “monitoring” of my heart. I was unable to receive answers about my heart rythm and if I was in any danger. The only answers I received were “you’re anxious” and “you need to see a cardiologist” So I was admitted and told I’d see a cardiologist, however, when the cardiologist arrived, he took a brief look at me and decided he would leave. After laying in bed for a while day, they attempted to move me to a hallway with inmate patients receiving care. I was not hooked to a heart monitor and was left to rot in that hallway until I spoke up. On my last day, 2/26 I complained about the cardiologist coming to see me. He then replied “let him go home” because he had “talked to me for a long time” (which is a complete and disgusting lie) and they decided to discharge me. In the process of being discharged, I complained about the experience and the charge nurse was completely unprofessional and upset about my complaint. He replied “I know the nurse and trust her” when I told him about my experience with her. Don’t come here…I wish everyone seeking help the best

Katie Girl I took my sons to Victor Valley Hospital for tonsil removal surgery about a year ago, and unfortunately, our experience raised several concerns that I feel compelled to share. Both of my boys had breathing difficulties post-surgery, which was alarming. My younger son struggled significantly to wake up and even developed Erythema multiforme. When staff inquired about asthma, I assured them he does not have it. They both appeared unusually pale during our time there, which added to my worry. Interestingly, a friend of mine underwent knee surgery at the same hospital and also experienced breathing problems and fluid in her lungs. She mentioned that she heard other patients voicing similar issues, which is quite disturbing. When I described the female anesthesiologist to her, she confirmed it was the same person, which only heightened my concerns. I reached out to the hospital (Patient Relations Department aka the complaint line)months ago and just left another message to discuss these issues and left a message about my concerns, but I have yet to receive any follow-up. This lack of communication is disappointing and adds to my worries about the quality of care at Victor Valley Hospital. Overall, I sincerely hope the hospital addresses these alarming patterns to ensure the safety and well-being of their patients. My experience leaves me with serious concerns about the anesthetic practices and patient monitoring during surgeries. I feel it’s crucial for prospective patients to be aware of these issues.

Junior Waif Came in to ER from 01:20am to 02:37am Wednesday March 5, 2025 to be seen by an Emergency doctor for heartburn, lower chest pain and shortness of breath. Got told by a night shift older female Nurse Emergency Department when going inside to be seen. An older female nurse spoke to me saying they are short staffs, I cannot be seen by a doctor and they cannot do nothing to help me further. The female nurse told me “you’re a young boy/man, go home and can get medications from over the counter”. Not what I needed to hear from the nurse for what I am going through. Worse experience from a healthcare hospital care. I wanted help and be given prescribe medications from an ER doctor. Now I see why is rated at 2 stars. Had to go to a different hospital Emergency at night to seek care. Don’t come here.

Jacob Lara The physicians are pretty good. I prefer some over others, but the front office staff are awful. They never send in appropriate amounts of information to get referrals, prior authorizations, and medications. They claim they do stuff but when you talk to the insurance company they have no records of it happening. It is a regular occurrence across multiple insurances so I am inclined to believe it is the office staff. If this wasnt on par with the rest of the medical professionals unprofessional attitudes and business operations across the high desert I would have searched for another doctor. So they are the best of the bottom of the barrel.

Debbie Phillips This office has just reached the RIDICULOUS STATE!! they called and canceled my husbands appointment today the day of his appointment stating they no longer do phone appointments for ppo insurance holders!! No reason just they wont do it anymore AND they knew this a month ago yet failed to tell us and verified his teleappointment 2 weeks ago!! They have been getting worse and worse about rescheduling appointments or changing from the Dr. To the PA you can never get through to the office bc they have you on hold 15 min.or longer! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH! GOING ELESWHERE NOW

Joleeyn Estrada So the doctor my mother sees here is amazing don’t get me wrong I adore her doctor he’s been so amazing through thick and thin with her and I wouldn’t dream of leaving her doctor. But the blood dressing process is ridiculous. They are only open 8-11 and she takes maybe one blood draw an hour. Every time I’ve brought my mother here it’s taken over an hour for her to be taken back for blood to be drawn and both times with only one patient ahead of her. It’s ridiculous. I’d you need blood drawn go to Lab Corp where it’s worth you’re time. I’ll never bring my mom back here to have her blood drawn again.

Angel Camacho Do not use this if youre a veteran. If you need community care and use the VA use someone else. The actual doctors visit is great the physicians are pretty damn good. The problem occurs with getting the medication. They will ignore when the VA asks to send them more information and if you call and ask for them to help out they will say yeah we can handle it and just not handle it. This is not a one off instance either I am dealing with this right now and I had to chase them around for weeks last year to get what I needed as well. I have a time sensitive issue that is causing me pain right now and it is just being ignored. The other medication I need I kinda get the confusion, but it is still ridiculous I have to basically beg them to do their job.

Joel Auchtung Dr Jamaal has excellent bedside manner. He is very thorough and does not leave anything undone. He and the nurses on staff also remember details and trends on patient charts, are super quick yet friendly and will not allow their quickness to cause mistakes. Helping me rule out things and improving my health. I always leave my appointments relieved and grateful. They are good, so there is sometimes a wait because people want to be seen by a good Dr, but its worth it!

Elisa Maribel does not seem to care about patients. My mom opened up about her pet loss/grief and she felt dismissed. This is not the first time she felt that way. If a patient opens up to you about their health problems and grief, support them! Especially when they’re elderly! Extremely disappointed. Do better.

Yani Smith I don’t have an issue with the doctor, she’s awesome! The front desk staff are the most rudest people to deal with. They ask why are you calling? and then cuts you off in the middle of your conversation. They placed your call on hold for hours, and once on the phone they rush you off. Theyre so unprofessional and rude.

Valerie Camarena Really unprofessional doctor and staff that work there. They have no idea what theyre doing and always cancel appointments. They obviously dont care about their patients. If youre looking for a new doctor and better staff this isnt the place.

Jeri Clark Dr. Corona is one of the best Doctors I have ever had, I changed insurance plans to keep her. BUT OMG the receptionist and office staff are the worst I have ever been to which is saying a LOT considering the area. I am going to have to leave because you cannot contact the doctor at all for any reason unless you are right in front of her. They will not call you back for any reason. You cannot get messages to the doctor. She instructed me to get a CD of my MRI and the office staff refused to take it even though it was the doctor’s instructions. They were supposed to fax something and they didn’t but now they claim it’s not their fault and won’t fix it. I hate them so much- RUINING a perfectly good doctor

Kandas Corella When I first began to see this provider, she was new to having her own office as the primary provider. This was my initial review, “She was really good at listening and taking each issue one by one. She never rushed us and was equally attentive to myself and my daughter individually. I would definitely recommend her.” After being with her for a year, her staff is horrible and rude and treat you as if you’re nothing and she is not tentative, caring or helpful any longer. I switch doctors immediately but my husband continued. He would make appts and her staff would rudely call and say “oh Dr won’t be in that day so we have to reschedule you” but the appt wouldn’t be for another month even though he had waited a month or more already. When she would say she was putting in for referrals, that never happened and when it did, which was rarely, he would never be notified. Overall, I would rate them negative stars if I could. Even speaking to her staff complaining about their care and jobs, she would be standing right there, and she would never look up or even attempt to address the issue. Horrible, horrible service.

Jazmen Green Extremely rude nurses Especially Matthew- will definitely follow up with patient relations Part of being a nurse is treating patients with respect just as it’s given. Part of being a nurse is PATIENT CARE! Learning how to deal with others How to properly care for and not just physically. Walking away from a concerned mother who is being respectful is uncalled for, unprofessional, uncaring and UNACCEPTABLE! He happens to be the charge nurse for the night Really? Someone so rude is in charge? Someone who doesn’t know how to run the floor is in charge? I work in the medical field and this hospital is so unorganized. No assigned nurses to patients??? No wonder why patients get lost in the sauce here… Hoping the high desert gets better care and soon!

Rita Howanietz My Husband went by ambulance to St Marys Providence on hwy 18. He was diagnosed with pneumonia. He came home that same day. With zpak . Four days later had to be readmitted by hospital . He was diagnosed with pneumonia, rsv, mersa, covid, then two more days later was also diagnosed with influenza A. He caught all this stuff from cross contamination from the nurses and staff. He was in a room that you had to suit up to go in. But people would enter the room with no protective wear . Even the paleon care worker even came in. No one implements any rules and procedures. The hospital its self gave my husband all these viruses. They wanted to incabate him I said no. He was managing just fine on a CPAP. Well he was transferred to Lamirada acute care hospital that has a rehab. But do not take your family or friends to St Marys. They will make them sicker. Then the staff is ran like an assembly line. They give no Xtra just medicine. No Xtra pillows to make comfortable. They give you a hard metal seat to sit with them. No one to even give them water . They do no even have gowns and masks stocked you have to locate yourself . Its not the nurses fault its the way the hospital is ran to make money . But its the worst care Ive ever seen. Drs you never see them they come and go not everyday . So no chance in talking to Dr. No shift communication. Between workers. Last but not least they kept his phone never transfered it with him . They cant find now. But thank goodness this smaller acute care hospital in Lamirada is so much better. He is on his way back to a recovery. But with the Covid there will be long term effects for how long who knows. He would of never got that if they would practice safety. The nurse changing my husband handling him never suited up with all these infections left his room was handling her next patient . They know how serious all these viruses are do not care they are pushed for time to get to their next patient. This hospital got a grade F on their last spring grade and need to be shut down. Scrubbed clean and a new director who knows how to run a hospital.

Miguel Davalos This is the worst medical center ever. They should be shutdown and replaced with better medical center hospital. The staff should be fired and replaced with doctors and nurses who does their job correctly. My mom landed into this hospital despite of that being the closest one. Every time when my mom got home, they mistreat my mom badly and was told by others that staff are treating their patients badly even claiming my mom is going crazy and started to make up stories to the insurance company as a record. I work in a warehouse and I do see how co-workers treat other co-workers especially managers. I do see this in this case with their patients. All staffed should be fired and reorganize as professional doctors and nurses who actually care for their patients not to mistreat them.

Ignacia M Nurses are the best! They care for you like if you were family. I’m forever thankful for my nurse Karen Ford! Girl you got me out of my bed after surgery. Your love, care, prayer, and encouraging words helped me get up and walk. Forever grateful! Also thank you to nurse Willie, Lori O, Muriel, and Alyssa for making my week go smoothly. God bless you always.

Gil Ruiz If half a star was an option I would not give that. Horrible place to die. ER starts with zero parking but a nice sized empty physician parking lot. THEN THE incompetent security stuck to chair that decides to call you once you pass them at the entrance. And with great pride in their work start the conversation with "I am always getting distracted?" If I have 1 regret moving to the high desert its moving close to this hospital I rather die in traffic heading down the 15 freeway in traffic. St. Marys

Loida V. Guevarra, MD

Address: 12760 Hesperia Rd STE A, Victorville, CA 92395

(74) Reviews Loida V. Guevarra, MD:

Gabriela Rios dr. guevarra is definitely one of the worst doctors I have ever had. she will dismiss every single concern you have about your health and she always cuts you off when you speak. when I was a teenager, I went for my yearly physical and during the appointment I had asked for a referral to see a mental health professional. she refused to because it is a ‘normal’ teenage thing. she also refused to give me yearly mri scans (brain problems run in the family so it is a huge concern for me) because i’m ‘too young’ to have anything seriously wrong with me. I don’t understand why she is in the medical field if she really doesn’t care to listen to his patients. the other doctor on the other hand, is amazing. I always got her name wrong it’s either joann or joan. but she truly is so sweet. she made me feel heard and understood. she helped me with everything guevarra refused to. I wish she had her own practice. thank you for everything joann/joan! guevarra, do better.

SOPHIA This doctor Louda Guevara is so rude and pushy with my kids that have disabilities. I do on the other hand LOVE DR. Lister, she is always gentle, calm, never rude, and takes time to answer questions. Please don’t waste your time with her patients. I wish Dr. Lister had her own practice, I’d give it a five star.

Angel Alonso Unprofessional work ethic. I recently went on October 1st, 2024 for my annual physical exam, I had a concern of a charge on my bill. When I explain my situation to one of the workers, she stated ‘the doctor (Loida V Guevarra) likes to ask a few questions that some insurances do not covered. 3-5 questions of depression, 3-5 questions if you are a smoker’. As a result the clinic was charging me a full amount to a doctor’s visit. As if I went a completely different time to do a check up. Keep in mind I only go once a year to see my doctor (annual physical exam), so for my annual physical exam she charged 2 visits to my insurance. In addition, I had a charge for a blood reading results, that I didn’t request. When I went for the annual physical exam in October 3rd, 2023, the doctor (Loida V Guevarra) asked me if I received my blood result from 2022. I told her I did not but I was going to get new ones today so it didn’t really matter any more. Then, she proceed to read them to me and I sat there listening. The doctor decided to charge me that interaction that I did not request. I didn’t make a big deal, I told them I’ll fix it with my insurance. After a few minutes, they called me to start my physical exam. Once they took my pressure and my weight, the same worker started asking the questions I just complain to her earlier (the questions they charge my insurance a whole new doctor’s visit), therefore I decided to ‘Decline to Answer’. She told me I’m not allowed to do so, I insisted by stating ‘I do not feel comfortable answering this questions’. She went to ask her supervisor/manager if I could do so and she told me I wasn’t allowed. Then, I request it to speak with the doctor (Loida V Guevarra) in order to explained my situation. The doctor told her that she will talk to me in the examination room. Once the doctor walk in, she started going off on me saying ‘I like doing this examination (the questions) with my patients, I work like this and if you are not willing to answer them. We are not going to be able to help you here’ for that statement I responded ‘ I just decline to answer those questions because I did not feel comfortable, but if you think like that then I’ll look for a different doctor for my annual physical exam and this will be my last check up here’. Then she started accusing me for being a drinker because my liver levels are little high. She kept pushing the subject when I clearly stated I don’t drink and if I do it’s usually one glass or two every month or two. She kept going at the it, for me to explain how much is a glass and how many oz. I wouldn’t have mind explaining myself but she kept cutting me off every time I tried to answer and the whole she had an unprofessional attitude. After she move past the interaction, she went to check my ears, mouth and lungs and then decided to walk away. She didn’t even say the exam was over or asking me if I have any questions. My physical exam was not complete, but she decided to end it anyways. I’m really disappointed for the treatment I received because I was being respectful to the whole staff and to the doctor (Loida V Guevarra) and I did not received the same treatment from them.

Karina Peña I would give zero stars if could, I finally got my mom to switch from this horrible dr. The staff always reschedule my mom’s appointments, the dr never refilled her medications on time, this dr doesn’t care about her patients, with the new dr my mom switched to she already has done so much more in 1 month that this dr didn’t do for her in 1 yr. My dad recently passed so my mom needs the best care that this dr obviously couldn’t give her. I don’t recommend her at all.

Adolfo Frayre The staff tries cleaning up after the doctor’s mess. Dr Joanne talks too much and takes forever which makes the patients with appointments mad. I don’t know what high horse Dr Guevarra is on. Speaks over you, and doesn’t let you express yourself without jumping to conclusions

jeannie neese Yes would like to update my last view. Today I should be seeing my sports medicine doctor for an injection in my knee that is bone on bone. And I had been asking for the referral since I first got her as a new Doctor. And she didn’t show up so had to see hospital doctor and he never put the referral in waiting for her which no one told me. So after 2 weeks I call and was told. So after 4 appointments in 3 months still would not give me the referral tried to get me to go to other Doctor. And I told her he books up fast my appointment is every 3 months and my appointment is made at the time I get the injection so 3 months ahead. In November when I asked she flat out told me it was too soon and we have plenty of time!!! So on December 3 appointment she still was refusing and my blood pressure was 170 over 210 then they said we need to retake it was told 4 times before they finally did it then it was 190 over 133 I was feeling I was ready to pass out so I walked out!! Now I have changed Doctors and have to wait until January or February!! Then every visit she makes you spent your appointment time with the intern doctor which adds another hour on to the appointment visit! To me she cares more about her intern doctor then her patients!!! I wasted 3 months with her and really in danged my health of having a stroke! My knee is so bad I can not walk so I’m having to stay home for Christmas. But all she wants is office calls. I’ve never had a doctor make me go 2 to 3 office visits per month. And still did not get what I needed!!! So I will be starting all over with a new Dr for the new year. But I was told to post this review so others have the opportunity to make their choices knowing what other patients had gone through so you can stop it before you have 3 months invested in her. I just wished I had known.Thank you & good luck!
